I was not saying that FR doesn’t blob (i even tell u this FR blo, happy ?) but that i’m sad RoS began blobbing (because in the last matchup u didn’t do that and that was great and we are about the same u can’t blame us for “forcing u to blob”). I admit that we sometimes run at 60+ -especially on EB or FR BL- but go on RoS or BT BL and we have mostly (except events) like 40+ which can be manageable but your super awesome godly 30+ guild raid.

And about skill wait the blob defending hills on FR BL at 2 a.m at Tuesday ? wiped like 8 times against us 2 times and numbers were pretty balanced. just because on double impact the second group was too late.

For running away, i’m gonna say matter of perspective : i’ve seen no fights (i’m a roamer) where FR ran away nor RoS and sometimes I read commanders telling to say out of combat to wp and defend <insert objective name here>. Like u most of the time we only have one zerg + about 10 peoples at each map doing daily/ roaming/ crafting (speaking at off peak time here).

And please stop speaking about 0-4 a.m FR presence where u had actually some guys to defend when between 4-8 a.m ,your USA guild prime time, we had near to nobody. If u look at my former post u should notice “very good job” and it’s really what i’m thinking since we have superior numbers -but not this superior- the fact you are staying close is a show of skill / dedication (/ nightcapping admit it too) / good tactics & strategy.

Yeah, a bit over exaggerated. This isn’t WoW where you wait for a healer for hours. Why organize? Because the top tier servers are the ones that take advantage of everything they can. They’re the ones that put in 110%. Having builds that support one another to enhance the group as a whole isn’t trivial, it’s logical, and in a sense IS cooperation. The issue at hand should be how Anet can change WvW so parties of 5-10 can provide their own role in WvW. IMO, make it bigger w/ more camps, towers, etc.

Asking why organize is a bit silly, just think

Not just top tiers, all Euro servers do it!

o.O i sense some words to be spoken on this thread. Yes theres differences, EU plays as guilds most of the time, and more into open field and GvGs are more common over here! We have less coverage but our average skill is higher than US ervers

I do have to say though, amazing fights both ways, and I need to start commanding pugs again on TS to be able to handle YcY…
I can’t do it with 15 organized Greek Titans + 20 pugs.
Seriously respect for YcY+ DEX pincer attacks, great coordination from 2 great guilds
But dissappointed to see Riot+DEX blobbing together since I know both can hold on their own

Unfortunatly we tried over an over to find somewhere we could fight tonight, bbut PaX, GuM AA and SWD, mostly touched themselves :/

I was commanding, and I asked for head counts frequently. Highest I got was 43. Average was 30. It was a fun fight, but… next time you say anything about blobs, I will have a stroke.

Haha i am in one of the top wvw guilds from SFR bro! Im on this server because there is no lag when fighting and the fights are reasonably sized. No i didnt come here to troll, im stating fact. Lagging? Split up, its easy. orrrr move to another server!… Problem solved

This certainly made for an interesting read. I havent played on an NA server, but ive watched some videos of the blobbing and stuff…. its just a bit..meh! And watched some GvGs, i have to say they are not as organised as the groups on EU, just personal opinion on what ive seen from videos thats all.

This is my personal opinion and maybe i’m wrong but why does RioT sound so arrogant ? Really do you think it’s skill to stack and attack with TS vs a pug zerg ? Also just because guilds don’t want GvG in WvW is maybe because they don’t want the fuzz about organizing it and don’t have or want to proof something? I don’t want too generalize your whole guild as arrogant people, I guess in real life your are some nice people, but please lay down the **** waving on how you wipe other servers zerg groups etc.

Not that I’m fond of people who only stick too the zerg blobs either…

For the rest I say it was fun too play vs any of you but I just hope it would be less **** waving or people generalizing a whole server of cheating while it’s just a few the next time we face each other /bow.

Well RiOT has had lots of fun this week, wiping 50+ groups from both sides. Some excellent fights and lots of profit. We must of made around 100g each this week, its been crazy. I too have lost some respect for UW, couldnt find many guild fights apart from PaX, they were good. Everyone else seemd to blob up and its very frustrating. Hopefully we get less of this next time. I think its the american guild you guys have that kept you up top Good game everyone

Prime Time is from around 6pm until midnight or so, and its similar for the other servers we face.

Population o EB is normally full, home borderland is just heavily scouted, while other major wvw guilds tend to have fun in the other 2 borderlands, so nothing really gets full.

Randoms in borderlands can be around 10 or so no more than 15 though with tag up, if tag isnt on then its just 1 or 2 and they are normally in teamspeak, in EB there is generally 2 zergs running around, some in TS also.

I look forward to listening too your commanding when you transfer

Food is provided free of charge. We actually have raids where pugs can follow during the week so there are opportunities to join us on our blob killing tactics! Well tbh we only know whakittens like in T1 and trust me when i say i cannot play with 10 second lag its ridiculous. Ive also spoke to a few people in tiers below like 3 and 4 and they still get lag, but in our tier there is no lag!

No were never extremely outmanned apart from when we get RNG into t3, then we generally just try and kill the epicly bad skilled blobs

But yes, free drinks and snacks, no lag apart from a bit when theres a massive fight in SM, other than thakittens all good

So guys, as this is Ruins of Surmia’s first recruitment post, i apologize for any spelling mistakes that you see!

Before you select your server, let me share with you some information about our server. Some of the guilds you will be fighting alongside with:-

Below you might find a few questions you might ask yourself before you start scouting our server.

1. Ok, so what do you guys have to offer us?

We can offer you the use of our very own alliance Teamspeak, with your own channels of which you can create sub channels as and when needed. We also have our very own alliance website which you are free to use.

You get the opportunity to be part of great alliance coordination fight along side some of the best t1 guilds and maybe even fight them yourselves. We generally have fun in wvw and dont stop there, we have our fun moments but when we need to, we really push to make things happen as a server.

2. What are your queue times like?

Whats a queue time?! Seriously, we have a 5 – 10 minute queue on eb at prime time, the rest of the time no queues anywhere.

It is possible that we have a queue on home borderland only when something is under serious attack, then every guild just drops everything they are doing, saves whatever is under attack and goes back!

3. Hows your night Presence?

We now have 1 American/Canadian guild on our server and potentially one more joining us within a week or so. On top of this we have a dedicated night team who are focused on defending while the others cap the hell out of everything else.

4. What is the server’s primary Language?

Most of us are English if not we all speak English excellently as such we can all use TS with each other no matter what guild we are in.

5. What is there in terms of GvGs this low down in the leaderboards?

The only guilds i know that gvg are RiOT and VcY however i think our guilds have been getting a little bit more involved in this and as such, fully support each other in their activites. Dont think theres no guilds who cant challenge you in t6 and below

6. We like open field fights, are there any?

Yes,there is plenty of fun and kills!

Just to recap. No queues, GvGs are available, Ally TS (if needed) plenty of night coverage.

So guys, are you sick of queues? do you want healthy competition and fights?

Just a small improvement to be made to commanders. The ability to have a bag that holds all your siege weaponry and supply traps , but it doesn’t take up an extra bag slot.

Requirements:
1. Own Commander tag
2. Purchase for 1000 badges of honor

This would keep the bag space similar to those who are following the commander, instead of having 14 slots used for seige, its just an extra tab space somewhere on the inventory tab.

I know myself that i always carry hundreds of each type of seige including superior. What you guys think?

Wow you RiOT guys are pulling out every excuse in the book as to why you’re not “steamrolling” us FIRE and AZZL have been on rof since day -3 for your information and as for FIRE we rarely pull even 15 people we aim just to annoy zergs as I recall building an ac with 5 people causing 30 RiOT to storm it while the other 5 destroyed the treb was pretty funny.. (awaiting excuse for this one) sorry. for saying RiOT actually just a few of your guys making you look like whiners why cant you be more like VcY and just have fun with what you got

I’m looking for an EU server which doesn’t have skilllag (maybe apart from battles in SM) but still has some decent guilds/commanders and coverage (weekends and evenings).

I’m on SFR atm and although we have good guilds/commanders and and a nice community i’m getting sick of the constant skilllag that is present in T1. Therefore i’m gonna try my luck on a server a few tiers down in the hope things will improve there.

I’m thinking about the following servers around tier 5:

- Piken Square : i’ve fought against them in past matchups and they played decent and fair (my current choice)
- Ruins of Surmia : i have some friends on this one but reading the thread about their current matchup has brought up some doubt whether they have a good enough coverage to not be constantly outmanned.
- Gunnars Hold : i dont know much about this server but they also seem to struggle with coverage.

Can anyone please give me some advice or anything ? Thanks in advance!

I would say not to go to Piken Square ive heard there are queues on every border? or is this just rumours?

As for GH they have excellent prime time coverage, but lack in off peak hours unfortunatly.

RoS – You should know most of the guilds on this server, FIRE, RiOT, VcY all from SFR. I dont think were ever outmanned tbh, we have enough to fill one bl and EB with a fairly sized guild on the enemies border.

GH and RoS never have lag apart from in SM, so take your pick! Good luck with your search.

Although i am biased towards coming to RoS because i am there ^^ but still the choice is yours

Very unlikely RiOT blobbed up today.. but hey, I was offline all day.. we run max 30 people (after a guild mission for example) but usually we run with about 20ish.

We don’t have the numbers to create a “blob”, but nice try… theres a lot of whining already which is a pitty..

I think that people are trying to say are that your often seen in a blob. i mean WBC was assulted by a of mix RiOT, vcy and randoms, and that’s a blob if im not wrong

Might of been grouping up during the day up until 6 or so, then we had guild raids so wasnt possible for us to blob up. Then we even tried to take on WSR blob in eb outside SM but that didnt go down well, so we decided to wait until WBC left and kill the other half, then….. WBC came back and killed half of us. Then we just called VcY to kill you all! Was so much fun

BTW respect to the RiOT guys, we’ve had some fun fights against you

I’ve been thinking of moving to another ‘medium’ population server which has a better ranking on WvsW, as that is my main reason to play and also making it affordable to do the transfer.
Any good medium EU servers that are almost entirely english speaking which have an active WvsW community?
I know that’s quite specific but it would really help if anyone could share some insighy

Hey man, Ruins of Surmia is a good world for you to join! Its medium populated and has a whole alliance teamspeak for the server to use! Alot of guilds are english and would be more than happy to talk to you before you move
