Welcome to WvW Eu Tier 1 community, where having more people playing together in WvW is absolutely disgusting, arguments are won with 9gag memes pics from last year and calling out guilds because they don’t play like you wish is general behaviour.

Also, please remember the Guild Wars 2 Tier 1 WvW FAQ :

- Some otherwise inoffensive words or terms are considered insults in WvW, because they’re here loud innuendos and personal attacks. Therefore, words like coverage, server warfare, community, guilds, fairplay, timezones and primetime for example, should not be written or said lightly. These words have a loud meaning here, please use with extra care.

- It is strongly suggested to imply server population shortage as soon as you’re running out of arguments. It is fair to state than any servers having victories over the course is winning because their population have a lot more free time than your server’s. Having people playing the game during the night or morning is also a unfair privilege, as soon as you’re making assumptions please consider involving these people in the conversation.

- How the game is meant to play isn’t how it should be played : every guild should meet and fight in open field with even numbers. If a group of individuals is caught trying to get advantage of terrain, walls, buffs or anything involving game mechanics, you must immediatlely get his guild name and accuse the whole guild of blatant cheating / exploit.

- Any grouping of 12 or more individuals is considered a blob and should be heavily despised because it voluntarily degrades people’s gameplay by creating lag and culling. If you see someone running to you in WvW, please immediately make a quick count at how many people you have around you right now, alert him and advise him to move along.

- Some guilds are more important than others. If a person bears a “famous” guild name in his forum signature, you must adress to him with respect, deference and use Sire as a sign of allegiance. If you’re in an important guild, be arrogant, pretentious and pretend everyone should know about your awesome guild’s reputation and fame over the ages, otherwise you won’t get any respect.

SFR it is time to learn how to command PuG. VS and Deso do it from the very begining of the GW2 release.

Do people not read anything. We have been commanding pugs, that listen and join us. If you know of a way to command pugs that flame you and reject any hand of invitation then pls do share.

just a thought: i was on SFR for a bit more than a week back when it was in t3, and i was looking for a home server. I play almost every day, i upgrade and siege up a tower 4-5 times a week on my own budget, spending 5-10g on upgrades weekly, and 50% of the time i play morning, when every server needs every person they can get. I know how to play the game. Im a PUG. After that week on SFR, i was like : me helping THESE???? no kitten way!!!! And it probably only got worse, after all you’ve admited trying to chase players off the server. So i dont really get the surprise, they are reacting to the way you act. Honestly, who in their right mind would want to work with a bunch like you.

Dear SFR posters! you truly believed that your server will be the one exception that wont be overrun with serverhoppers, if it keeps winning? I mean srsly – “those i didnt negotiate and invited personally should get out, because their presence disturbs me” – you really thought that would fly in T1? Theres a limit to how naive someone can be….

I have to be honest, I share Oxxy’s sentiment here. I was on SFR bl on Monday night (and in TS) when RIOT, SiN and 1 or 2 other “recognized guilds” were on the map and everyone else told to “f… off”. I saw the whole affair where a RiOT member turned on his commander symbol to deliberately lead PUGs to their deaths. I saw the insults getting swapped between PUGs and “recognized guild members”. So don’t any of you try to claim that you just asked nicely to get PUGs off the field so guild members could join in. I then witnessed (after there was no longer even a queue), the RiOT commander still telling PUGs to f off, both in TS and in chat.

It seems quite clear that on SFR atm there are 2 definitions for PUGs, the first being anyone that isn’t a member of the “recognised guilds”, the second being anyone that isn’t a member of the community, i.e not listening in on TS etc. If I had to select RiOT’s definition by their display on that evening. It was clearly the former.

Hey, that was me! Yes i got frustrated, and yes i got annoyed! But i didnt intentionally lead pugs to the death! Im sorry for the trash talk, and i have learned now to remain calm in all situations and my change in person has been significant. But people still need to listen to what i say if they want to survive, its simple!

The PUGs that i did lead were to be honest, under equipped and not very good in their performance, but i had to do my best with what i had. I have learned!

I have to say European guilds have a lot more quality in their fights! Ive been looking at some american GvG and skirmishes and it just doesnt compare! Sorry guys, honest opinion, although i havent actually fought on an american server!

We have enough to deal with. We on sfr always have no more than 2 commanders on a map and often take it in turns to lead, it is also important to communicate with other commanders on other maps to organise a double attack on a target or something.

We have enough to deal with with the recent influx of pve players asking “how do we use supply?” or “can i have a tag plz”

Therefore a bounty would complicate things even more

I have spoken to newly transferred people and they did get on sfr for free! We will NOT welcome these people we will NOT help new guilds, so please stop joining our server!

Ive done most of it now, apart from puzzles. T3 bounties just takes a bit of organising and prep work. But still fun

First thing, I wasn’t refer to your post. 2nd, why the strongest EU server wants Asian guild? You want to make T1 exciting like T8? And the last point but the least.. In EU ladder quantity>quality, coz the server who got more numbers/better coverage wins.

Good afternoon Vertigo, i hope you are well! First of all sorry for the recent events on sea of sorrows.

I am on seafearers Rest, the number one server on the EU tables! We have 0 SEA guilds on our server and still manage to pull out a win due to our strong communication and community, our alliance consists of the best Guilds in the game and will do whatever it takes to make another guild feel comfortable in there new home!

We have weekly meetings with our guilds as a community and have an alliance TS for the whole server to use, all of our commanders are known to the server and have an excellent reputation. All of our guilds communicate with one another and always help when needed.

Let me tell you a bit of history about our server from my point of view. Firstly RiOT originated from Aurora Glade for the first few months, we then saw the excellent world vs world community on Seafearers Rest and so transferred here, and have not regretted it since. Yes, we have had ups and downs, but we still managed to keep ourselves motivated and keep on hitting the match-ups hard and fast!

The first few weeks when we, and other guilds joined our server we raced to tier one, we, however struggled against vizunah due to a lack of night force.

When Anet decided to reset the ratings we decided it was a good idea to drop down to tier two, to pick up some motivation and a reason to fight, we did this successfully as well as gain a few more guilds!

We got back up to T1 in no time and went straight to number one but it is a hard fight, one that cannot be missed, we would like you to consider joining our server or at least have a meeting with me and a few other server representatives.

Can I ask what the hell happened to SFR?
I was a fan of em last year, seemed like good server(I actually moved to them for few weeks last year when they were mid tier to get away from RUIN on Deso, and to have fair fights etc..) And seemed like great little server. They never had the pop of the big servers yet seemed to be very organised and have good skill level of pugs.

I’d have to disagree totally with all that now tbh, I’m sure the ‘old skool’ SFRs are still around and grand but since there boom to T1 last year and esp now again since the free transfers stopped they have gone down a massive hill.
Obviously they have gone up score wise and are no1 server now and probably will be for few more weeks, but the average pug I come a cross is pretty bad, and I can count at least 10 times in last 5 days I’ve gotten party invites from SFR players I’ve killed 1v1 or 5v4 etc.. that just call you ‘desoscum’ and troll for 5mins, I always let them vent as they are just bad losers but by god SFR is going downhill fast, and its a shame to see.

Could be a case of success breeds contempt for some, but I really don’t care who is 1 or 2. In fact I’ve always preferred T2 or T3 then T1.
The best thing that can happen for SFR now is a drop down tiers as some big guilds move back to where they came from pikenSquare or w/e and the real SFR players build back up again, done wonders for deso after the RUIN shambles, We will never be 1st again way things are, and that’s just fine by me and most I know who play.

TLDR; SFR have some very skilled guilds and players, but since there upward run through the tiers they have attracted a tonne load of very bad players and trolls, and imo they are bringing the name of server down to the dumps. It’s a shame.

Im sorry you feel this way! But as a result of climbing the ranks, we have had an influx of bad players or bandwagonning pugs and unfortunaly there is nothing we can do against this :/

Im actually not, just tired of people accusing us of blobbing, especially when people say we started it, i try laugh it off but its just getting annoying now

VS ruins the fun of people wanting good fights like GvG by playing score in a WvW system of 1 week? It’s totally surrealistic…

You don’t like VS playstyle (bad in openfield, hide in keeps, etc…). Ok good but what? Should everybody play the game the way you want to? Is there only one way to play the game, yours?
In the case of we don’t like openfield stuffs, should we flame you about it until you stop doing this? Who are we to do so? Openfield battle is not WvWing, it’s a part of it like defend keeps or care about score.

YOU, all haters of the first hours, made this ambient hatred against VS. That started with whines about nightcap in a 24/7 WvW game. Then spiting on VS skill because VS was not playing open-field as you did, the VS playstyle, now the morningcap… in fact, anything VS will do will be something bad.
Oh yes of course there is some very low skilled trollers from VS who brag and taunt. But what? You don’t have this kind of trollers on your server? Do you really care about what they can say? You will base your feeling on a handful of persons to refer of thousands of players. If so, you don’t worth more than them.

If you look closely and with hindsight, you will see that VS’s practically never start flaming seriously about anything.

Just, in all ways,, a frustrated person starts to flame, the flamed person, felt attacked, answer in a bad way, etc… nothing more nothing less than a forum war.

So blaming VS for that or anyone else, It’s like a dog chasing its tail.

And let’s talk about the VS Spirit thing. It’s just a term to show the link created between VS members with the hard work they made to build the community. It’s just a something roleplay to define the server’s soul and galvanize people. Is it bad? Did we hurt people with that? Where is the bragging thing in this?

No, really I don’t get the logic of VS haters. I just see they have not enough hindsight to be clearminded enough to see what is really happen around.

We are all responsible of what is going on in here. So stop tossing the stone to VS for all the ambient frustration and open our eyes.

Guys, It’s just a game and things go really too far…

Im sorry but you guys cant play! I was part of a kitten up raid in wvw, and someone thought itd be funny to do a golem rush, keep in mind these are pve players also (try commanding them)

So we had 20 PvE RiOT members build golems, and tried to make them wp, to hills inside golems but they just didnt know how. When i finally managed to do so, we all grouped up at hills and all the golems moved in a line to garrison with mesmers INSIDE them!

Deso were attacking T2 garrison and i wasnt to keen on attacking anything with this raid, but i wasnt in charge! But anyone we got to water gate and took that down in about a minute (far too slow for 20 golems) and then walked all the way up to inner, no resistance yet! We used a Timewarp (OHMAGAWD) the gate went in a few seconds!

We saw lots of vizu at north inner gate figithing deso while we were attacking the lord inside our golems, took us about a minute to get the lord down! And we capped no problem with viz having no idea, that is how bad you guys are!

We are on Seafearers Rest! And have invited 3 guilds already! Its not this friday but the firday after! More dreamers Please

Thanks for the gvg BuLl friday evening.
I know you felt as though the pugs were joining in, But they weren’t and even desolation guilds who were watching agree’d with us, It was however very messy, With pugs from both servers attacking the Spider Queen Trait point. And a certain SFR player being a pain.

I felt though our gvg fights were even and we deserved to win 3-0, Respect to ex Kaz guild though, You guys are still impressive and well organised even with the guild drama that happened.

I hope we can do it again sometime in a more quiet place with no pugs about.

I wasn’t there but this GvG produced quite a buzz in the community. I was suggesting BULL guys to publish their video and would recommend you (or any spectators who were recording) to do the same so there’s no misunderstanding and no room for rumors. As it stands atm, I believe many Deso guilds will be reluctant in arranging more GvGs with you.

P.S. This post is personal opinion and doesn’t necessary reflect any of Deso guilds official stance. Including GH, since I’m not an officer.

In the video on SFR side you can clearly see 2 VOLT members even finishing Bull members in downed state in the middle of the battle, and Riot had a member there as well harassing us spectators and from what I heard from Bull attacking them in their fight with VcY as well.

Deso had 3+ individuals as well involved in the fighting. One person from a guild with the abbreviation [KG], another from a guild called Moonlight Shadow and yet another from [LoP] (Lions of Persia?) All these 3 people were either downed or finished in the battle(s) by Bull.

You will have to forgive me for my bad language! I was in complete control of my guildies, we were there to learn, not to cause absolute mayhem! We have a good reputation on our server so please refrain from posting anything about RiOT without showing proof! We were all on teamspeak together eagerly watching the fight!

Perhaps you are right we should of watched it via twitch and next time we will! However I do not believe for a split second that me or anyone else from our guild would interrupt such displays of organised gvg! The only thing I could possible think who it could be was me, I was trying to get the skill point thing down quicker as I wanted to watch!

Nonetheless it was a good fight! I would like to see this so called RiOT member in the video! But until them please stop talking negatively about our guild!
