Masteries [suggestion]

I think a gathering mastery would be awesome. Something along the lines of
Gathering:

I – Gather materials 10% faster
II – Guaranteed extra strike/gather per node
III – Learn to skin animals and have 100% chance of getting a piece of leather/something that salvages into leather when killing appropriate creatures (so cows, dolyaks, deer etc…)
IV – 50% chance for # of uses to not decrease on the gathering tool when used
V – 15% chance to “recover” a node after depleting it and get to gather from it again

Excelent idea – Point III is the most I like :-))
What about some salvaging mastery? For example, in a Sword (or Greatsword) you use 12 ingots and 2 wood planks. This can be translated (for lvl 80 weapons) in 24 ore + 6 wood logs. When you salvage such a weapon you usually get 2-3 ore back (that means ONE of the materials). So:
Salvaging:
I. – X% chance to get back half of one of the materials used to craft the item (the base item, not insignia/inscription)
II. – Y% chance to get back 75% of one of the the materials used to craft the item.
III. X% chance to get back half of all the materials used to craft the item
IV. X% chance to get insignias/inscriptions
V. The possibility to salvage the inscription/insignia into the component parts.

I don’t know if the Guardian of the Pauperity and Scarcity in the game (Darth J.S) will like such suggestion. But is worth to try :-)). Rather than an one use mastery (see Exalted gathering) needed only for one or two collection items, I think that a mastery useful for a long time is worth investing the MP in.

Raids Discussion rant from Wooden Potatoes

The release of LS is only more than a week away. I tell all of them: Be patient, you can. You don’t get raids. That’s good & very important. Every day I am happy Anet won’t change anything about raids.

This was the answer to Ohoni’s post: “I think we can agree that they’ve successfully sated the small target audience, but now we have to figure out how to sate the remainder.”
Well, I want to ask you Vinceman: Why do you think the LS is ONLY for the rest of the players (the non raiders). Do you have any official statement of the developers regarding the LS3 claiming that they will deny the right to play this content for raiders? On the other hand I saw such a statement from the devs. telling us that the raids were DESIGNED with the idea in mind to make it non accessible to most of the players.

TaxZero.7910

Raids are not designed for everyone. If they were they’d be called OPEN WORLD content, not Raids, not Challenging Group content, not The Ultimate End Game challenge.

They are not meant for every tom, joe and marry; And there is absolutely nothing wrong with that philosophy. There is other content out there meant for everyone go play that.

Exactly what I said before. I bet you read the statements of the devs. regarding the Raids. But I do not agree with you: This philosophy is terribly wrong. So wrong that Collin lost his job by following it. So wrong that MO asked the community for a little bit of patience to fix the things. So wrong that NC Soft officials almost apologized with the famous statement: " we learned the lesson". (btw: if everything is so good with this philosophy, why the need to sacrifice a scapegoat to the community in order to buy few more months?).
Another point I cannot agree with you: You take the freedom to decide that a certain content is not for everyone. And that all the “tom, joe and marry” (capital letter missing at the beginning of the name – error or lack of respect for the other players? ) can play another content.
Question (for you too): Can you show me anything stopping you to play that content “designed” for “tom, joe and marry” ? What are the sources used when you divided the game in content for “tom, joe and marry” and content for responsible/honorable/ skilled/famous/prestigious players like you?

My conclusion regarding the subject: Wooden Potatoes considered the situation created by raids to be absurd and by the video he shows his revolt. I fully agree with him. It seems that he (and me, and more other persons posting here) belongs to the “tom, joe and marry” category of players. But, also seems that players as “tom, joe and marry” are far more than the prestigious/skillfull/famous/honorable minority. And taking this into consideration and adding the Anet and NC Soft reaction, I think that the statement: “Every day I am happy Anet won’t change anything about raids.” should be changed to: “Be happy and enjoy every day till Anet will change the raids making them accessible to the majority of “tom, joe and marry”. Only in that moment you can judge the success of the raids. Because raiding will be a matter of choice and not a matter of adjusting your RL program in order to meet the raid schedule.

I saw one of the persons posting here stating that he raided a 3.00 AM. I don’t think someone can make me believe that this is a normal behavior. The mankind is a diurnal species. Turning into a nocturnal one only to do something in a computer game does not sound very normal for me. But I’m OK with this (all in all this is a mater of personal choice) as long as the nocturnal batman is not trying to turn me into a bat also. And finding me guilty of lazyness, lack of skill, lack of desire for improvement only because I want to live my life as a normal human and not as an owl.
Don’t tell me to quit the game if I want to live as a normal human – playing is a very important aspect of a normal life. Unfortunately, some of us forgot that, and in this moment they don’t play, they … spend time in GW2, doing I don’t know what, but certainly not playing.

We need a new map.....

Yeah I was kind of hoping that the spring update would change the map progression to be player driven like silverwastes instead of being on a timer

Agree. All the events in the new maps should be reworked to be player driven. Because, in fact, the PACT is moving. He is continuously in the offensive. Defending the outposts / building camps are not defensive moves, are preparation for the attack. Time driven events makes the situation a bit …. inconsistent. For example:
Verdant Brink: The fleet is destroyed. The survivors started to regroup in an attempt to ……… go further in Auric Basin. I never saw any reference to a retreat. They are determined to continue. So, they start to build the base for an offensive maneuver. In SW the big bosses pop-up when the preparations reaches a certain level as a last resort to disrupt the Pact attack and to save the Vinewrath. Here the big bosses appears at night – not related with the Pact level of strength or in an attempt to disrupt their efforts. In VB the bosses acts as common predators and not as Commanders. In a player driven map the bosses should pop when the preparations reach a certain level (as in SW). And another weird thing: After all the effort to build up camps and outposts, the Pact local leaders tell the other that the Choppers will come to EVACUATE ??? all the survivors? The move forward to Auric Basin is in fact an escape?
Auric Basin: Another strange situation: Every single Exalted tell us that we should DEFEND Tarir from Mordrems. And still, in the last phase of the event we ATTACK the Mordrems to break the siege they set-up against the city. More accurate should be that the Exalted ask for help to FREE Tarir from the siege. And that means a player driven map – we attack when we are ready (that means a certain level of preparation). In this way we are spared to see the sad note that “an Exalted sacrificed himself to save the Tarir ..” With the knowledge and materials from Exalted / help from skrits, the Pact is moving forward to Tangled Depths.
The Tangled Depths is even stranger :-)): In the final phase we should stop the chacks to reach the cannons. What cannons? Nowhere during the meta event we can find a word about the super cannons. Normally should be that every lane to build its own cannon. And the attack to start when the cannons are ready. But this means a player driven map. In the Anet vision the chacks should attack at the same hour, regardless of the fact that nobody worked to craft the super cannons. To make a time driven map, Anet forces now the idea that the cannons can craft themselves from nothing.
We are now in Dragon Stand. Again – why a race against the clock? We should build our offensive first. This is a fight against an Elder Dragon and not “The charge of the Light Cavalry”. Still, even with some … imperfections, this seems to be the most logic meta event in HoT.
Sorry for this long post. In my opinion we don’t need a new map. We need that the four maps in HoT to be changed in order to have a meta event driven by players and not by timers. Because, I think, the players completes the event. The time is not playing the game.

On topic:

I think the future of raids looks brilliant. The raid team was awesome with their first 3 wings and the announcement that there is more in the pipeline makes me feel happy. I’m excited to see more in the future – after the next boring step called LS3.

Sorry for disagreeing with this. The raids are part of GW2. Starting from the HoT launch (when the raids were released) the GW2 started to feel “ill” The illness was ignored for a while, until a heavy surgical intervention was needed – consisting in: Changes in the high lvl management of the game (again, my opinion is that Collin LOST his job – his departure was not the result of a sudden worry about his family), Mike O’Brien redistributing the work force on several projects and canceling other projects (again a sign that under Collin’s management the resources were used without efficiency), the officials admitting the mistake they made (" we learned the lesson" ) etc. One of the mistakes was the release of content only for a small part of the players – the raiders. The statement that “nobody stops you to raid” is FALSE. From the developers statements you can see that the raids were designed with the idea that only a small part of the players to be able to complete it. This may be good for other games, but is bad for GW2. Now: if the raids are part of the illness cause of GW2, I see no meaning developing further this aspect of the game. The future of the raids can be brilliant only in a brilliant GW2 environment. If the GW2 starts to die (due to the raids) then the raids will die also.
My feeling is that the raid development will be stopped in order to save the game.

This was the doubt people had because they persisted on the assumption that raids lead to content drought for all casuals and that is 0.0% true.

It seems that you don’t understand: In this game exists only players. The division in categories as “casuals” and “hardcore” (with other words “scrubs” and “elite” ) is an invention of some …. refugees from other MMO’s. Because, I repeat, in this game you can find players. Your statement I quoted (with the content for casuals) makes me wonder if that content is exclusive for casuals and if somebody denied you the right to play the content “designed” for casuals.
Because until now I thought that this casual content is for all players (including raiders) and the raids – according to the developers statements – are for a very few players (casuals excluded here). Conclusion: The raiders have MORE content released. That means MORE for a very FEW. This is another cause of the players anger.

But the real reason why LFR is often mentioned to be a huge mistake by some raiders? Exclusivity. It opened the WoW raids to average players, instead of keeping them restricted to only a small minority.
Which is apparently a crime.

This is valid for GW2 also – opening the content to ALL players is a major crime. At least for one part of the community.

This is highly debatable since there are less than 20 people in this forum complaining about raids. It’s rather the other way round: There is a tiny or very small minority of players who is directly against raids and wants changes.

Well, due to the massive drop in the player base, it seems that the percentage of raiders raised :-)))). I saw in this forum a 20% percentage of raiders ?!?!. It seems Anet is seriously thinking to have a 100% raiders community. Even if this means to find methods to make the rest of the non raiding community to leave the game :-)). In the end, only the raiders will stay – and even if the number of raiders will be the same as now, the percentage will raise to 100%. Still, i have serious doubts that the 20% raiders represents a reliable number – look at the topic asking lowering the LI request for Legendary. I think that a LOT of the raiders are non permanent/dedicated raiders. The number of hardcore raiders is probably much lower. And because they can raid only once per week they have plenty of time to post here on forum. Waiting the next week raid :-)). I think that only around 5% of GW2 players are raiders.
But to become serious: I don’t know if is very accurate for a representative of a 20% part of community to call the other 80% “a tiny or very small minority of players” (the bold is mine). In designing the HoT, Anet kept in mind the demands of the “large” 20% “majority” of gamers: challenging content (aka hard to impossible to complete for the (filthy) casuals), exclusive rewards – available only for the raiders, grinding, grinding and grinding. The results: The player base is now very thin (to the point the few raiders represents 20%! of the entire player base), Collin lost his job (they needed a scapegoat for the calamity named HoT), the officials almost apologized with the famous statement: " we learned the lesson" and the promise to “repair” what was destroyed.
This was the result of ignoring the 80% of the playerbase (representing the tiny or very small minority of players) voice. And Vince is asking Anet to do the same thing in the future :-)) Nice :-))
To answer to the OP question: Future of the raids?
Well, if Anet will continue on this line, by making some pieces of content only for the “large 20% majority” of the players, they can very well start preparing the burial rituals for the GW2.

Disparity Between Ascended Crafting Materials

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Cristalyan.5728

Cristalyan.5728

Off Topic: I use this Forum for a while and I still not managed to figure out how to quote a text :-(( Can someone send me a PM with a “procedure” of how to do this?

On Topic: The title for this debate is" Disparity Between Ascended Crafting Materials" – the OP is raising the question why in the ascendant materials the quantities of T6 mats are so unbalanced.

Ayrilana.1396: “The TP cannot be ignored because it was one of the main drivers for the quantity disparities”.
In my opinion this is a false statement. The TP prices are influenced by the quantity disparities. The TP prices CANNOT influence the quantity disparities in the ascendant material crafting, because these disparities are influenced only by the RECIPES. And to adjust the quantities only for the sake of TP prices have no sense. This is GW2 not TP wars.
So, the circle is:
1. Anet designs a (or several) recipe(s) – the materials needed are fixed by the recipes.
2. Also Anet fixes the drop rates and the ways the materials can be achieved.
3. From 1 and 2 you can calculate how many materials are needed (for the targeted segment of the players) and how many are generated.
4. 1+2+3 determines the supply and demand.
5. Based on the supply / demand ration you see the prices on TP.

So, the supply / demand ratio in this game is fixed by Anet. Everything Anet is doing in this game is to raise the company profit (I think this is OK for a company). The recipes (and the disparities in quantity) is one method. You can easily see that the economy in this game is not a free one, but is closely controlled by Anet (even J.Smith indirectly agreed with this by his question – “tell my why you think a free economy can be good for the game”).

Conclusion: The disparity in the quantities is not a result of a chaotic mind or a mistake in calculations. It was designed as a tool in Anet’s hand. And you design a tool by taking in consideration what you want to do with this tool. What Anet wants? As a company in a competitive real life world, I doubt they are animated by philanthropic reasons. They want a source of incoming :-))).

From your first statement: " I would use this device even as a mesmer, because it would free up a much more valuable utility slot.", I understand that you don’t run a mesmer. And still, you can give advice to a mesmer only user of how he can use the utility slots :-))). BTW – the utility is the main reason the mesmers exists. The DPS is legendary low, so the only fact that still keeps the mesmer alive is its utility list. And one of the most important utilities is given to all the players :-))
About the utility slots: The portal has a 60sec CD. With traits, (Temporal Enchanter) the CD is lower. Using the Alacrity produced by the F1-F4 shatters, the CD is even lower. If you use two wells, you lower the CD even more. You can have a Portal every 45 sec if you want. And now: How can this device (even with a 5 min CD) to help a mesmer? In my opinion, as mesmer, if you need the Portal and you use the device instead of your skill, then, maybe you should use another class. That means – for mesmers, this device DON’T make an utility slot available.

The second statement: “The only strategic uses are in pvp and wvw, and you can’t use it there. And maybe dungeon speed runs, but that community is really small, and they may still bring a mesmer anyway”
My question is: If the device cannot be used in WvW / PvP and has minor to no use in PvE, why do you want a 5 min CD on it? For such kitteneless device, 30 min CD is still to small.

And I know the mesmer very well – I play a mesmer for the last 1 and a half year. Daily – only mesmer. This is the reason I expect from Anet the step 2 – to solve the “issue” with the quickness and alacrity – because I know that only the Portal is not enough to kill the class.

In my opinion, Anet is using WMPD as a brilliant approach to destroy the mesmer class. It is clear that somewhere in the staff, somebody is loving the mesmers from the depth of the guts.
1. Still, only WMPD is not enough. That pesky mesmers proves to be very resilient. So, i think the CD for this portal should be reduced not to 5 min, but to 30 seconds. In this way the “portal bot” nickname will be not a burden for mesmers anymore.
(NOTE for dungeoners/ fractal players – you are 5 in a team. I don’t remember any dungeon/fractal where you need more than 5 portals. A mesmer is no more needed here for portals. That shows the “generosity” of these players – never think to the others, think only to yourself – YOU need a low CD on a …. device stealing the skill of another class, so DON’T ever consider the teammates as something to be taken into account).
2. The second step should be to solve the problem with he quickness and alacrity. And of course the way the mesmer shares this. But with a banner/ flag/ well identical with WMPD this mesmer “issue” can be solved. The banner giving quickness and alacrity for 15 seconds for example. With a CD of 2-3 minutes. And the well sharing the boons. On a 2-3 minutes CD. That is OK – because in a raid team you can have only 10 members. And 10 members using 10 banners/ wells barely achieves permanent quickness/ alacrity. And the mesmer will be free from the “alacrity bot” nickname. And I think the mesmers will be free from the burden to play this game also.

Well, the open world content represents about 95% of GW2. At least this was the argument the raiders used when the casuals complained about raids.

It seems that this is too hard for you to understand. I will try again (this is not what a real hardcore raider does – to try to teach a newbie):
- The accounts paying the monthly fee in WoW is X (let’s say 5M). Every account can login every day. That means you can have 150 M logins in a month. Why are we considering the players will logging in ? Because they pay for a limited use (in time) of the WoW servers. The paying players choose the period for the fee – according to the schedule and their availability to play. So, I repeat, it is common sense to consider they will play as much as they can for that fee.
- The GW: The number of logins in a month was 3 M. That means an average of 100 k per day. The players logging daily are the active players. This is the reason I compared 5M with 100k

Now, it is (again) common sense that when you disagree with something (that means that “something” is false) you know another variant – (the true one).
After disagreeing with my point of view, may I ask you to share with us your point of view, please?

But this post is not about the number of active WoW players. It is about GW2 raids.

At 5% raiders that means about 5k players raiding in GW2. I will reiterate here my words for Anet: Anet, " Please continue with making more raids". Ignore the rest – they are whiners / weaklings / not interested in challenge / stubborn – they refuses to take GW as a job and to work HARD – with other words (filthy) casuals. By doing so, only we, the raiders will continue to play this game and you (Anet) will be the first gaming company in the world having 100% of the playerbase raiding. Keep doing the good job of getting rid of the casuals! Is not important we are only 5 000. Sparta entered in the history with only 300 warriors. And I can swear that in the 5 000 GW2 raiders we can find 300 warriors at any time :-))

" So why are you comparing 5M people who have an active wow acc ( i assume an active WoW account is an account that can be played on and not neccesarely be played on ) to 100k players who do login daily"

An active account on WoW means an account for which the user payed the monthly fee. It is not important if you play or not during that month – you pay a fee. So it is a common sense to think that after paying a monthly fee to play, you will actually play. This was the reason I considered the 5M active accounts as they actually play the game. But, playing or not is not important for WoW – the important thing is the monthly fee. Once you pay it, your account is considered active – and counts :-))
With GW the things are different – you pay once and you play when you want. This is the reason the daily login was the parameter I considered when counting the active accounts.

Well, I considered that the accounts logging in are the active accounts. And at 3 millions in 30 days you have an average of 100 k per day. So, it is safe to assume that THIS is the real playerbase (active accounts) in this moment. 100 k.
On the other hand, Anet only spoke about 3% of the WoW active accounts. No other data – so the 5 millions is my estimation and can be questioned. I accept this – it was only my estimation. To have a clear image we need to know how many logins are in a month in WoW. Unfortunately I don’t have these data and Anet keeps silence about it (even if Anet knows very well that number – otherwise the reference to the 3% is not real). But I suppose that telling the real numbers will not put GW2 in a very favorable light.

Still, I compared % of active accounts with % of active accounts.

I read here on the Forum that a 3% of the WoW players do raids. I don’t know the exact number of the WoW accounts, but I suppose 5 millions can be an OK estimation. So, 3% from 5 kk means around 150 k raiders in WoW.
Let’s see an Anet statement (around 2 months ago) – they stated that in a month they had around 3 millions logins from GW2 accounts. That means around 100 000 per day. We can safely suppose that this is the hard core of the player base – the players logging daily into the game.
Again Anet – they stated (2 months ago) that the number of HoT licenses sold up to that date was between 300 – 400 k.
And now:
1. Considering that all the daily logins were from HoT owners, that means Anet lost already around 75% from the HoT buyers. But that 100 k per day does not means only HoT owners – that means HoT owners + F2P + nonHoT payed accounts. That means the HoT owners logging in the game is less than 100k. So Anet lost even more than 75% from the HoT buyers. This is the first conclusion.
2. Anet states that the percentage of raiders in GW2 is better than in other games. Using WoW as a reference (3%) we can say that more than 3% of players raids in GW2. How much more?? Unknown. Let’s suppose 5%. This 5% from 100 k players, translated in numbers, means around 5k raiders. Compare with 150k in WoW.
The statistics is good to explain some aspects. But without real numbers to make a real comparation, the percentage can give a wrong picture.
To go back to the first conclusion – Anet lost over 75% of the HoT buyers. Why? Well – HoT is a product different of what the traditional playerbase liked (and for this reason they come here from WoW and other games). I won’t write here again all the reasons – you can read it on the Forum. But I will remind one – the raids, because this is the subject of the topic. The raids :-)))
Looking at the percentage, you can easily see how many of the GW2 players have a good opinion about raids: around 5% :-)). The rest consider the raids as a bad thing, not only not helping the game, but moreover, destroying it (and dividing the community).
So, to repair this and to stop the game loosing players, Anet released (in the period after HoT) only raids. Sacrificing the Legendary weapons for the sake of the raids. Sacrificing the Fractals (the other end game content for HoT) for the sake of raids. Sacrificing the (filthy) casuals for the sake of the raids. And so on.
The result can be seen in the game already – the gem prices in gold is raising and raising. Why?
1. The percentage of players buying gems with gold is higher now – because a lot of the (filthy) casuals gave up and the hard core of the player base needs almost nothing involving RL from gemstore – they had a lot of gold.
2. The few (filthy) casuals remaining in the game are now more reluctant to spend RL money on gems – they are waiting a sign that Anet will repair what they destroyed. And what is Anet doing? Releases more raids, of course.
So, to conclude this long (I hope not boring also) post, let’s cheer Anet: For the sake of your 5% players (around 5 000), Anet, " Please continue with making more raids". Ignore the rest – they are whiners / weaklings / not interested in challenge / stubborn – they refuses to take GW as a job and to work HARD – with other words (filthy) casuals.

No Ascended Chests from T3/4 w/o HoT?

in Fractals, Dungeons & Raids

Posted by: Cristalyan.5728

Cristalyan.5728

Illconceived Was Na.9781:
“And the evidence doesn’t support a lower drop rate for Ascended Gear for running T4 or T3. The rate for the master boxes is somewhat lower, but T4 gets four sets of boxes (i.e. not just master) and T3 gets three sets (i.e. not just expert), so the net rate people get for running T4 is notably better now and the net rate for running T3 is somewhat better.
Some people are going to be unlucky and some people will be incredibly unlucky”

I do not agree with this, and the following data will show why:
From KING data:
1. Before HoT: 2918 lvl 50 chests opened = 346 armors
2558 lvl 40 chests opened = 177 armors
2. After 19.04 update: 598 Master chests = 17 armors
598 Expert chests = 16 armors.
Now, in my opinion you don’t need to run high lvl simulations or to build a very precise mathematic model to be able to interpret the drop you have in a game. Don’t forget this game is played even by kids – such method denies them the right to know what drop they have. Still, even the kids can appreciate the drop – because the simpler methods works well: gather data – compare results.
To go back to KING and his tables: Considering the drop rate as relatively constant, if from 598 Master chests we had 17 armors, that means that from 2918 Master chests we can have around: 85 armors. Similar, if from 598 Expert chest we had 16 armors, from 2558 we can have around 78.
Compare 346 armors before with 85 now. And compare 177 before with 78 now.
The “luck” factor is excluded here, because the opened chests were captured and opened by different players with different luck. Conclusion: the drop rate was drastically lowered.
But, if someone insists that the luck has a role here, that means that a LOT of players are “unlucky” now. This is a different way to say that they have a low drop rate.
So, to answer to the OP: The ascendant drop rate has nothing to do with owning the HoT.The drop rate is miserable and is equally low (without any discrimination) for all the players (regardless of owning or not owning HoT).

Fractal loot nerfed?

@zakaruchi4086.
Before HoT we got 5 (five) chests (from Fractal 50/40/30/30/10), four of them having the following ascendant drop rate: 11,9% / 6,9% , 4,2%, 3,7%. The last chest (lvl 10) is not worth counting. Now you get 3 (three) chests with a 2,9% and 3 (three) chests with a 2,7% chance. I cannot see the 7% chance you see.
I prefer to have a 100% chance of drop chest rather than 100 chests with a 1% chance each.
And now: This is not a discussion about the efficiency of doing fractals. Nobody forces you to do all 3 fractals every day. You can do only 1. Or you can do 3 /+75 fractals. Or you can do each fractal from daily. This means 12 fractals. This is not necessary a very normal approach, but it is possible. So – 12 runs = 12 chests. Only 6 drop ascendant at a rate lower of 3%. Compare with what you had before from 12 runs on the high tier fractals before HoT.

Hi all,
This is my first post ever. Until now I only read the Forum. But in this moment I’m worried that the Fractals will become the next Dungeons in regard of rewards (despite the A Net statement that the post HoT end game will be the Raid and the Fractals).
The OP’s question was: " Fractal loot nerfed?" I will use only the ascendant armor drop as reference (this can become too long and boring by comparing all the other drops)
What we can see in the KING tables:
1. Pre Hot launch, the drop rate of armors:
Lvl 50 – 11,9% / Lvl 40 – 6,9% / Lvl 30 – 4,2% lvl 20 – 3,7%
2. Pre 19.04.2016 patch:
Champion – 11,4 / Veteran – 1,2%
3. Actual drop rate:
Master – 2,9% / Expert – 2,7 %
As you can see, the actual highest tier of reward gives you a smaller chance of ascendant armor than a lvl 20 tier fractal pre HoT. I won’t speak here of how easy or how hard is now a Champion lvl fractal compared with the highest tier in the past. But judging by the ascendant armor/weapons the drop rates only, I can see that the drop was not nerfed. The drop was almost destroyed. I don’t think the “replacements” as 1xGlob of Ectoplasm or 1xFractal Potion can make someone happy. Not even the ascendant mats – you can have ONE from a chest. A complete piece of ascendant armor usually needs several Damask + several Elonian.
I used to do fractals every day. But now I stopped doing this. With a PUG you need about 1 hour to complete all the 3 fractals on the +75 scale (this is valid for my case, I’m sure that other more skilled players can pug this lvl in less time. But I know cases when some players needed more than 1 hour) . For the actual reward, wasting 1 hour from my time is not worthy.
A Net statement was: " The Veteran tier reward was a little bit lowered. The Champion tier reward was buffed." The result of this buff: the ascendant drop rate for armors is now 2,9% instead of +11% in the past.
I think a clear explanation of A Net of what they means by “buffed rewards” is needed.

Thanks for reading.
