When using a stone, two places show. Which item goes on the left? The one I want the appearance of? or the one with the stats I want?
Now I get it. Vengeance is my rally skill. Dang. I need to think of a way to avoid that.
Oh, I see. I don’t think I have that. I haven’t clicked any ability except heal after downed. I will check that my heal isn’t Vengeance. Or that I don’t have Sweet Revenge. I do know that I’m not in combat when rallied, but there are enemies around, just not near. I will need to check this closer, to see what I’m doing after rally.

At level 80 I wil have 70 points. So at level 60 I should have 50 pts. Grandmaster just unlocks the next 20 points. I see what confused me, now. I had the Master points, but a message said I couldn’t use the Grandmaster until I used the Master manual, which I had. I bought another Master manual and used it, and then used the Grandmaster manual. So, I spent a gold I shouldn’t have had to. And, at least for me, gold is scarce.
Yes, I’m playing a warrior. I don’t understand what you mean. No, I’m not engulfed in flames.
I did bug this in game, but wanted to follow up with more information. As a Warrior, at level 60 I had ten points in each of my traits, except one that had five. I bought the Grandmaster manual for level 60 but couldn’t use it. A message said I had to use the Master manual first, which I had. So I bought another Master manual and used it, then I could use the Grandmaster manual. But it didn’t add any points.
I’m very confused. I’m not explaining this well because I may not remember the points exactly. Except for the fact I had used a Master manual but had to get another one, that didn’t add any points.
And then reviving, clicking on my heal that fills up my health completely. And then suddenly finding myself defeated within a couple seconds. Is this something new? I don’t remember this happening before. It happens almost every time now, and the enemies are not near. It happens so fast I can’t tell actually, where any damage is coming from. The damage doesn’t show in my chat window.
Do the Fractals have the forge like other dungeons do, where you can repair your armor?
What is fotm? A dungeon? or Fractals?
Flavor of the month.
I thought that’s what it meant, but the way it’s being used seemed strange.

I just hit level 70…this is not sounding too promising for people just getting to end game via, mostly, solo play.
I know, right?! This is one of those times i miss heroes from gw1, being able to do content no one else would not bother with anymore.
I agree, we need Heroes!
What ancient karka reward?
lets petition for phase3 repeat here! https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/lostshores/Let-the-final-event-repeat-for-24-hours/first#post794771
I don’t know that a repeat would be helpful. I played 3 hours at start yesterday, and another 3 hours in the evening. Both times I was there for the Ancient Karga killing, but first time the hatchlings killed me, and second time I disconnected. I don’t want to go through all that again and take the chance.
You are entirely correct, Leo. The problem isn’t that some got better stuff than others, the problem is that so many did the event over and over and never got to the chest, because of death or lag, or dc. Actually, the better stuff was too much better. As a level 80 who has played regularly since beta, and done my share of grinding, I only have acquired 3 gold. I don’t think I will ever see the kind of gold needed for better gear.
I’ve played since the beta weekends, extremely casually and I made more than 3g without grinding a few days after hitting 80…wtf have you been doing? O.o
I’ve been buying my gear on the Trading Post. It’s the only way I can get good gear. I’ve done the dragons over and over. I guess you could call me unlucky.

The players have been great, rezzing and the helping us get on servers. Can Anet match that?
Maybe Anet needs to rethink their strategy.
What about those who fought all the way only to be killed by the hundreds of hatchlings? Some players waded through them, some of us couldn’t. Some classes/builds must be better able to stay alive. Seems unfair to me.
I’m hugely disappointed. I think all who fought all the way to the end, should have been rewarded instead of run over by a zillion hatchlings. Some players survived those buggers, because of their class abilities, armor, whatever. In a game that is so reliant on gamers having good gear, and touting all the higher gear available, an event like this, where some lucky survivors get to the chest, doesn’t seem fair to some of us. :*(
/rant off
I am too. Two hours I fought. At the end, the hatchlings killed me. My group rezzed me, but hatchlings got me again. That was totally uncalled for, the millions of hatchlings. The rest of my group got to the chest.
I’m so angry I may have to quit playing for awhile, to cool off.
I looked at the armor at the sites above. Where do you get it? I tried the Trading post, no armor there with those names, at least as a price I can afford. I’m level 80 and have about 50 silver. I’m wearing level 79 armor, and my bows are level 78. How the heck do you make the kind of money necessary to get all that high level stuff? I’m at the point of considering a gold farmer. That’s how frustrated I am.
I bought lower level armor, same green color, to try transmutation. I tried both base and fine stones. I couldn’t transmute. What could I be doing wrong?
I loved the armor in GW1. I don’t remember any class feeling bulky, or too many frills. Even the Thief armor mentioned in this thread, has too many added details. Leather can be sleek and simple.
Thanks, I will do some checking.
This is the Thief armor I was referring to. It’s medium armor and looks like something I want, and can’t get as a Ranger. Unless it’s available in PvP, which I don’t do, and probably couldn’t afford anyway.
Feminine may be an oxymoron, agreed, but this is a game. In games we do things a bit differently than real life; it all boils down to fun. Not much in gaming is realistic.
I don’t PvP, but I will try WvW when enough of my guild gets into it. My main character is level 80, a Ranger. I’ve never had clothing I liked. In my opinion, most of it is not attractive. I’ve seen leather clothing, Ranger armor, that looks sleek, form fitting, in other games. The Thief wears leather. How about that black outfit the Thief in the video wears? I’ve seen a couple players wearing it, too. I feel very very left out.
As for heavy armor, it doesn’t have to look bulky. Whatever gave you that idea? The funny thing is, in most Asian games, I’m the one complaining about the skimpy armor, and wondering how it could possible protect a character. But here, I’m not asking for skimpy. There has to be something in between.
Right now, my Ranger is wearing a full pirate’s outfit. I have it only because of the stats. And I look way overdressed, and with bulky boots. Both Ranger and Thief wear medium armor, meaning mainly leather. It doesn’t have to be bulky. Remember the video female Thief? C’mon guys.
Or at least armor without all the frills like the magic users have. I prefer sleek, understated armor, form fitting. I hate clunky boots.
In the release video, I believe that was the one, there is a female Thief with simple armor. I loved it and decided to make a Thief. But my Thief’s armor is ugly.
I suggest simpler, more feminine armor, as a choice for the female classes, even the more warrior types. There is far too much added parts to armor. And I don’t like frills, cutsey parts added that some people consider attractive. On the one hand, I don’t want to look like a hooker, but I do like more skin showing. I don’t like high heels, but do like sleek boots.
