Well, it is even more frustrating to players on those servers, that do not have a zerg at hand, but have to go with 5 against 50. So soon this will be 0 against 50, which negates the purpose of any WvW PvP play…

Hi,

just as a suggestion, since the current outmanned buff is a joke, change the outmanned buff to something like reducing incoming damage by 20-50% and/or 10-20% outgoing damage, depending on the magnitude of the imbalance. Those buffs should only appear while defending or attacking a structure (tower/keep), so that a team of 5/10 has a real chance to actually defend a tower against the opposing 50 without instant death in AoE…

Logging out

Actually, a little bit offended re-reading the post as it kind of suggest that everyone on Gandara does it and as a result has no skill.

Not every one, but every other one. About 1 out of 2 or 3 kills (and yes, sadly I killed only Gandarans, because Drakkars were nowhere to be seen ) did log out in down mode or even a second before… And my point is, that since I have only seen Gandarans do this so far (cannot speak for the other Abbadons’ though, since I don’t see what they do), this casts a bad light on the entire server – at least from my point of view. If this offends you, perhaps you could suggest in your Team chat to those Gandarans who log out, to cease this behavior.

Not sure if you checked the scores last night and the day before, and the day before that. We were third from reset but it looks like we’ll be finishing first Kills mean not a lot in WvW if you don’t have the monopoly property to support it.

And although WvW might be about the points and keeps for some, many cannot participate because of the performance issues in larger groups. Thus I deem it rather random who happens to have the bigger group online together. Last week Gandara lost to us, this week we can’t seem to hold our forts.

And there are two different skills in WvW:
1st organizational: to get enough people together to take on defended towers, keeps or Stonemist
2nd individual: to best other players in 1 vs 1 or even 1 vs many

I refer only to the 2nd type of skill ^^

Warmaster Urho bugged (Balthazar pre-event)

Hi,

and again, after server reset, Warmaster Urho is escorted through the gate, walks into a few poison fields, then stops advancing. This bugged preevent makes Balthazar unavailable.

Please, please, please, fix this event that bugs 100% at the same spot. It cannot be that a bug that is reproducible on about every live server, and is one of the most important events in the area, if not on the whole server, remains unfixed for weeks, much less months.

This is no longer annoying, that is really making people (like me) quite angry and it feels like AreaNet is shouting the message: “Hey, we don’t care about your problems, we have our own schedule and agenda. If you don’t like us, we hate you!” Yet, I really hope, this is not your intent.

If you cannot fix the event, because no one knows what is wrong, that’s fine. Just place the Balthazar Karma Vendor in Lion’s Arch. This way no one would be bothered by this bugged event any more, and adding an NPC should not provide too much of a trouble for you, should it?

Logging out

Hi again and thanks for your feedback.

Sorry if there are already threads like this, but the search function didn’t yield them to me prior to my posting.

And the fact that I mentioned Gandara is because I haven’t seen it this frequently with any other defenders. Today just about 2 out of 3 kills logged out while in down mode or just about 10-20% health.

I just would like a timer for the logged out or disconnected player while in fight, so that his character stays in the WvW world for about 30 seconds. If your client crashed or you had to log out urgently in mid-fight, you should not mind to wait 30 seconds before re-entering the game with any char.

Other games have logout timers, too. If you really need to leave, there is always Alt-F4, (no timer involved), but if you do it while in fight, your char should remain in-game for any one to grab their kill. And yes, stabbing a pole into another toon or just hacking him to pieces sometimes really relieves some tension

I am not looking for a system to punish players who have to leave, but to get the victors the satisfaction (and possibly loot) they deserve. So any lockout on the player who disconnected in down mode is unnecessary, for all it’s worth he may just re-login a second after he left, just as long as his character (or at least some image of him) stays there long enough to get killed.

In essence, leaving an “afterimage” of a logged out player for the opponents to finish would be a small touch, and presumably rather easily implemented. I know WvW has other issues, and this “problem” may not be far up on the list, but nevertheless I’d like ArenaNet to recognize this as a problem that needs to be addressed in one way or the other.

Hi,

I now personally witnessed a several Gandarans who just logged out while in down mode. This not only demonstrates exceptional lack of skill on their part, but also leaves the accomplishments of their server’s team in a shady light.

To avoid such a behaviour though, please leave the characters of players who log out in fight for another, say, 30 seconds in the WvW world, before they can log in again.

This is beginning to take the fun out of WvW, and if this is considered “normal” behaviour, then I guess WvW will be soon empty, since no one gets any rewards from besting opposing players.

So if you’re going to keep complaining about it being bugged, please provide detail about how the bug makes it impossible. Not too hard, impossible.

If pre-events just keep hanging (like the caravan not moving one inch), the event is not hard, just bugged and thus impossible.

This happens to be about once ever hour or two. Extremely annoying when your in a group trying to do a dungeon. Didn’t have this issue until the last round of “patches”.

Just happened again while in a fractal and now I can’t join my party. Why wasn’t this fixed prior to launching a dungeon where once your kicked out you have no way of getting back in.

Exactly the same problem here. Since about a few days, now and again I get the Worng password error in the middle of the game, and now in the fractal dungeon… VERY annoying… ANet, please, please fix this issue soon, and while you’re on it, let people rejoin after a technical disconnect…

Hi,

first, thank you ArenaNet for some new content. Second, the fractal dungeons are really, nice, as well as the new Lvl 80 area. I really like to go somewhere else instead of Orr and the Sound.

Some of the bugs are annoying (like players not being able to reconnect to their group in the fractals or stuck events), but since you are aware of those and surely have someone working on those, I can still wait a little while for the fix there.

But… Please, do not let this new gear grind set in. Let ascended items have the same stats as exotic and legendaries. Just add the anti-agony option, if you have to, but please do not “force” another grind besides the legendary upon us!

The lack of real grind and the many possibilities even with high level chars in low level areas participating in evets there, too, is what made GW2 so different from other MMOs. Therefore, just don’t go down the gear grind road of other MMOs. You were on a very good track and events like Mad King Thorn were really a whole lot more fun than most other MMOs had installed in their seasonal activities. Keep up these good things and don’t worry about item progression. Pressuring people into an item grind won’t help keeping them interested in the long run, new discoveries and new challenges will.

So, have a good time, and sleep over the problem of item progression. I hope you will come to the right conclusion. I myself am already quite anxious about what might await us during the yule time season… :P

Hi,

please, just add a simple change in matchmaking:
If you have a premade team of 3-5, you are placed only against other 3-5 premade teams, if you join solo or in a pair of 2 players, you are placed only against other teams that consists of solo or duo.

Playing 1 or 2 vs 5 is no fun for either side…

Hi,

today in SPVP I hit on the revive option, and it takes about 5-10 seconds of loading screen. One time though, it took until the match was lost and I returned to the mists.

Why does the servers always take endless times to load? It takes forever using waypoints/asura gates (usually 5-10 seconds to waypoints in the same area, often 20+ seconds upon travelling to other maps).

My local hardware can’t be the limiting factor here (AMD FX CPU, 8 GB Ram, Intel SSD, 32 MBit/s Internet connection), so what’s up with the server?

Maybe it’s the login server, since for a few days now I get “wrong password” now and again, disconnecting me from the game. I can log back again immediately, though.

Yesterday our guild leader visited another server. Today I had no access to my guild’s bank, armorer and was unable to build new upgrades. But, once I was on the Lion’s Arch overflow, I had access to all guild functions…?
