But seriously tho Arena net, I’ve only had one orange drop ever since you nerfed cooking and I have been level 80 for a while (it came from a moldy bag from a pirate). My cooking level has not moved ever since the nerf. Where te oranges, BRING EM OUT BRING EM….please.

this will give you a heal and a condition removal whenever you attune to water, which is usually every 11 or so seconds if you’re attunement dancing.

I actually do Have Cleansing Wave, I just used it with my first 10 points in water instead. Im starting to wonder if I should put my 20 in water to Aquamancers Alacrity, so that I can get those water fields for the group heals more often, or 15 in earth might be nice for the 3 second cripple, so hard too choose lol.

This is my current build, its mainly for WvW, but I do use it to crossover into some spvp and I also use it for PVE.

I take AW and EA for the 6 blast finishers, allowing me to keep double digit might stacks, as well as allowing me to almost completely heal myself in about a second without by using my blast finishers in my water fields for group heals. Mist Form and AW are basically stuck on my bar but im open for change with SoE and frequently switch it out with cleansing flame and Arcane Shield.

Im having pretty good success but I want to make sure im getting the most out of it, so I have some questions;

- Would it be better to stick with Blasting Staff to give me a better area for my EA rolls, or would it be more beneficial to take final shielding there.

- Since I only have one cantrip currently (occasionally two) is it worth it going 20 in water for soothing disruption or would it be more beneficial to go 15 in water and 15 in earth? If you disagree with that completely please give me another suggestion.

- Lastly, I know my build seems to be leaning more support based, but I actually enjoy being balanced and doing damage also, (Im just more fond of actually surviving). Most of my damage comes from might stacks, but could you guys recommend any runes that would help balance my build giving me a little more fire power without sacrificing to much survivability, maybe even a little more crit chance, idk something other than full support.

I figured there would be some stickler like you gummy, If you look in my post, I actually said chocolate bars. Which, unlike Oranges, do not in fact actually grow on trees. However, I cannot refute your statement about cinnamon sticks, I’ll confess, I honestly thought the process for harvesting them would be different, thank you Google. If Arena Net really wanted to make it realistic they could have had us gather coca beans and mix them with other ingredients to produce chocolate bars. As well as creating buttermilk and what not to get butter.

BTW, Thank you Smooth Penguin for this info. I am currently only level 73 so it is possible I haven’t made it to these gathering nodes. Although, I feel that is pretty doubtful. Could you point me in the right direction as to which nodes in which area you have gotten some oranges from, because I have yet to get even a single one.

Lastly Arena Net, although I do see some obvious flaws in your game, They are small and few and to be expected. I’m sure in no time at all this game will become a world class game that will be one to be reckoned with. Please do not at all think of my suggestion too gather cocoa beans and buttermilk and what not to make chocolate and various other common ingredients. It would be completely unnecessary and there is so many other important things that need attention first such as Mini Games, WvW, class balancing as well as gathering node and price balancing, and of course all the dynamic event improvements that im sure are being looked at. Just keep up the good work.

How is it that random semi humanoid animals can walk around with racks on racks of butter, but it would be to unrealistic to have some gathering nodes for oranges? I mean last I checked, oranges actually do grow on trees. Unlike butter and chocolate bars… and cinnamon sticks which seem to be all I can find. Ever since they revamped crafting, I have only come across two oranges (dropped randomly by I think a bandit in the Bloodtide Coast). Does anyone have any solutions for this, or has anyone found some hidden nodes or something for oranges?

Staff ihas come pretty easy for me. I have yet to use it in spvp, but its amazing in PVE and anything with group presence. Just make sure you grab arcane wave and evasive arcana. You will have 6 blast finishers. I can heal myself and everyone near me back to full health in a matter of seconds, and keep a permanent stack of 9-13 stacks of might for anyone in range. I can get way more stacks of might with my scepter (sometimes in the 20s) but I don’t get as good of group heals. Ever since I have switched to my new build, I have been able to tackle all skill points solo easily. many veterans that had once given me trouble go down easily. I am level 70 right now, and I have yet to pop my heal in anything other than WvW, and one meta event since switching to this build. I even got my monthly survivor today. You all can say “well your not even level 80 yet.” True, I might be in for a tough time in Orr, but I feel im doin pretty good right now, and I feel pretty strong and fearless when I can just run into any mob and take them all out, I don’t mass damage, but I never die.

Everything you did is irrelevant, your team is obviously much better than your opponents, and you are probably in some hot join 8v8…

Yeah, kitten was pretty bad on Yaks last night. I remember one period where we broke through both gates and went to take it from GOM after alot of hard work taking out their supply and what not, when Blackgate just followed us in and we got surrounded on both sides and completely annihilated in a bottleneck. I think Blackgate ended up with it, but yeah I couldn’t heal anyone, let alone cast an AOE.

Anyways, im curious, I’ve never played Lineage 2 or DAoC. You all say that it was possible to have hundreds of players fighting each other at once in a small space (no server queues and less lag). Is this because the graphics were so kitteny back than, or are all of you unaware of how that was possible? Cuz all i’ve noticed so far is all the kittening with no one bringing forth any type of solution or suggestion.

I’m all for getting rid of the orb bonuses to help give the down servers a chance, but I just can’t justify punishing people who enjoy playing at night. I personally only have time to play at night. With school, work, and basketball practice everyday, I normally only have time to play between the hours of 10pm-2am PST, 1am-5am East Coast time. I apologize for being on Yaks bend, but I made the decision to roll on Yaks months ago and have not transferred once. I really hope Arena-Net doesn’t decide to punish me for playing at night, because I currently really enjoy playing WvW with my friends. I guess the most I can do is hope that you other servers can recruit some night players to help even it out at night, im sure overtime the game will increase in popularity and people from different timezones will help you out, and if not, hopefully Arena Net will find an adequate alternative.

This, so this. I really wish Vizu would understand/evaluate what all this does to the WvW COMMUNITY overall (on those servers Vizu is fighting with).

It’s been ages since DAOC. So basically, for the new generation of players, GW 2 is the first “proper” WvW -game they see. It means that for majority of players this is the first time they experience the WvW as a form of PvP. The current situation is severely demoralizing the new population interested in WvW, it drives them away from WvW – and fast. They feel WvW against Vizu is unbalanced, they feel cheated, they feel like they can’t win, they feel whatever they do is all in vain. They don’t want to buy upgrades since it’s seems to be waste of silver. Vizu just man vs. doors everything to ground at nights. Morale drops rapidly and no one just bothers..

This hurts the COMMUNITY overall. And everyone who understands WvW knows that community is the hearth of WvW. In the end that is what gives good fights, memorable alliances and rivals alike. So.. do you want to show what WvW can be for the next generation? Or do you want to drive them away from the WvW for good.

DAOC veterans/guilds understand how the overall score goes and don’t really sweat that much about it.. they just enjoy the fights at daytime and are done with it. The overall score means really nothing, no need to look at it that much. Actually I think most serious WvW guilds/players on FS would prefer to fight two Vizus. It’d give them much much more interesting fights at daytime.

Although I do agree something should be done, however, I don’t feel this is the answer. You can’t punish them just because their normal hours of playing are at nighttime. If you turn off WvW at night, or don’t allow them to capture stuff, than your really just banning them from WvW all together or making it extremely inconvenient for them. There has to be a better way to solve the problem at hand, whether it be you recruiting more french players, or maybe A Net allowing stronger NPC defense’s when there are no players guarding keeps and such at late hours, something like that.

Whats the problem with that? Lightning is a great gap closer, esspecially since he said hes going scepter dagger, RTL to Updraft is a very effective combo.

I mean look at asuras, you don’t got too look far, even their dodge is OP. I mean a flip or barrell roll in every which direction…are you kidding me? Don’t even get me started with the /dance. Arena Net nerf the filthyness of the Asura before we get so OP everyones jelly…its out of hand…

I been searching through three different forums, and they all have mixed answers that are equally unhelpful. No one seems to know where to farm these oranges anymore. There are a few places I’ve seen them drop (Bloodtide Coast) but on the most miniscual drop rate. Hit me with some locations Breh!

Some background: I live in Seattle and generally play at night, around 7pm-1am Pacific on weekdays, on weekends I play at random intervals. I play almost everyday but as I am moving into basketball season, and with work, bball, and school, I may cut it back to every other day or so. I am 18 and would consider myself mature enough to handle an older gamers guild, but if you have age restrictions, I understand.

I am looking for a pretty active guild, I would like to see at least a few members on while im playing so that if there was an event or I wanted to meet up, it would be possible. However, I am not looking for so hardcore of a guild that I must login at certain times so that I can perform events to help the guild progress. I am just looking for a guild to do some dungeons with, along with maybe some WvW, PvP tourneys, and open world events.

I, don’t mind representing the guild, but I would enjoy being able to represent my friends guild also so I can get us enough Influence for a guild bank (I understand this could be a problem for many of you but if it is, than count me out).

TLDR
Basically, im just looking for some decent guys to hang out with on chat or play with while im playing the game. Im kind of tired of running solo because my RL friends don’t have as much time as me to play. I haven’t even been able to find a pug for AC or even any tourneys yet. Pretty sure its a bug, I’ve heard this response from multiple sources today.

I know its not a bug, but at this point, it sure feels like one. I never use them, I spend enough money just buying ingredients to get my cooking craft up. But it sucks walking everywhere when you know you can’t use the way point because its gonna cost you like 20 silver. Stuff in this game is already really expensive (Cultural Armour, exotics, etc). I understand you need gold sinks, but repairing gear is already enough of a sink (well it is if you do any dungeons or difficult content, or if your server is bad at WvW) and you have other sinks in place too, like the fees at the TP and such. I mean I’ve only been playing the game for like two weeks so I may be wrong, but I just feel that this should be looked at. After all, when people were complaining about no mounts, others responded, “you have waypoints, why do you need mounts?” Currently I personally feel like we have waypoints, but we are being severely punished for using them. I would prefer to be lightly punished, because please, alternatives such as mounts would be so lame, waypoints are a much better method of travel.

I would understand if you were selling an item in the cash shop that somehow allowed you to skip the fees of way points for a certain amount of time or travels. I’m all for anything thats going to help you make money, but if you’re not even making money on this facet of the game, I see no reason why it can’t be looked at.
