If you don’t kill that spirit they will use it to revive themself. In addition to it passive heal that will also increase the other spirits longevity.

haha and hear I thought their real pet was the only thing that could rez them, alright, thank you for the info, I will attempt to put it into practice and come back if I have anymore questions.

Im not here to cry, but this build does seem extremely unbalanced considering the last 4 tpvp teams ive faced have all been premades and they have all had a spirit ranger build, sometimes multiple.

Im just looking for a solution, because that builds just the most face roll ive ever faced, I have trouble with some builds, which I accept is generally because Im just not good enough, need to l2p, or am just countered well by it, but ive played a fair amount of tpvp and this just seems ridiculous.

I don’t bother with the other Spirits apart from the Giant bluish Rez spirit. You must remember though, the spirit that gives them their damage is the orange one. Destroy that and you reduce their damage by a lot.

Apart from that, you could just focus the Ranger and time your damage for when he isn’t dodging and you’ll do better against them.

So the orange one also provides its burns? Because as a glass ele with 0 points in water, my 11k health pool, armor, and condition removal are near non existent and I really need to clear that burn.

Sub note, when you say you generally just target the bluish rez spirit. Is that because it provides the majority of its passive heals?

to be honest im not quite sure because of all the pets and stuff running around but I believe its a mix of the burn and his pets, the rangers seem to generally just evade the whole time.

It should definitely remain in tpvp to maintain that extra competitive mechanic. I know it annoys the care bears farming spvp for rank points all day so they should have an option to remove it so everyone’s happy.

The mechanic is great and is just one of the things that helps good teams separate themselves from bad teams. If they decide to remove it from tpvp, than they might as well just add some more pets and passive effects so that there will be absolutely no difference in skill level between a rank 1 and a top tpvper.

I apologize for not providing adequate info.

I run a scepter dagger ele burst build. I feel the main problem is thakittens single target based and the ranger build seems to have too many evades and heals for me to burn through.

We are losing due to points from capture locations.

We do not zerg, we generally send our necro and guard mid, the mes far and whichever pug character we have home point, with me roaming, generally between far or mid at start of match.

hmm cause warriors can adapt, thieves can adapt, guardians can adapt? Not every class has viable condition specs so what you are saying is that everyone should roll necro, condition ele and condition engi? hmm seems legit. If there was a midway point between glass and condition there would be no problem why should we not play some classes because anet decides conditions should be superiorly OP?

Camera Rotation Speed

Im not one to normally play the forum game, but this is a topic that has frustrated me since release in August, and since I have yet to see a topic about it, I thought I would bring it up to see where the community stands;

Camera Rotation Speed is just to Slow.

Maybe its just me and my old history of playing FPS games, but Ive always felt that even when I turn the sensitivity up to the max, it is still much to slow for my reaction time. As a melee squishy, I find it infuriating during TPvP.

So what say you? Does it bother you, and if so, have you found any solutions to help combat the problem?

BTW, I realize this comes off as something that should be in The General Discussion Thread, but I don’t see this being a PVEers problem, therefore I have placed in the only forum that I felt it could belong in, if yall Devs got a problem, than feel free to do what you feel is just.

You can become a legendary player later, but won’t pwn a rank 50 at r20.

I’d say most people play at the same level after reaching rank 40.

People need to realize that not everyone grinds spvp custom arenas to get glory and rank. Some people only TPvP, because it is the only pvp game mode worth spending any time in other than WvW, and therefore those people may have low ranks, while still having the resume to be matched with R60s. Ive seen R50s get absolutely destroyed by r20s a multitude of times.

As for your statement about players leveling off at rank40…what?? Players will rise or fall to meet the level of their competition. If a rank 40 decides to stop doing tpvp and just grind some hot-join, he might find himself a little under prepared once he re enters the tpvp scene, the same goes for the reverse effect.

The mindset that people should be striving for rank and glory, or the mindset that rank and glory mean anything at all are likely two pretty good reasons that tpvp matchmaking is the way it is in this game, its such a PVE mentality.

PVEers do it for a reward. PvPers do it for fun, and the intangible reward of being better than another individual, which should be satisfying enough.

I liked you until that point….

Sorry if I offended you, I probably could have phrased that better, I just used warriors because their a perfect example of an upfront in your face profession thats not hiding any cards. A sneaky thief might come up behind me stunlock me, stealth, you know, make it really tough to get away. A ranger could set his pet on me, guardian has walls and areas they can throw up to keep you where they want you, anyways you get the picture.

I just used warriors because other than a few stuns, they were always pretty straightforward and in my opinion, one of the easier professions to avoid, no offense.

I don’t agree that the Elementalist, or any other profession, should have the ability to be both very hard to kill, and at the same time have an easy time escaping. I’m glad that this change has happened to the Elementalist, because it has always been more of a bunker profession, which made the quick escapes seem overpowered. I hope to see stealth toned down for the Thief as well. Just like I don’t think the Mesmer or Guardian should have a 25% movement speed signet either. There needs to be a balance between survivability and speed.

Why is it that you dont feel they should have good mobility when speccing damage, forced into melee, having low health pool and light armored? Ive seen plenty of rangers with excellent healing, near perma protection, a pet that hits like a truck, able to go ranged, and still have better mobility than an ele.

I mean christ, whats the point of being a light armored, damage melee spec if you dont at least have the mobility to escape when your hands are full (thats exactly what thieves get along with stealth, better burst, and more mobility anyways), its not like were pushing guardian armor or warrior hit points. if people still feel our healing is to high, than swap our water 5 healing skill for some other trash skill, or nerf our condition removal more by nerfing cantrips.

But 40 sec cooldown on RTL makes absolutely no sense.

Ill come out and say it, I’ve mained an Ele since release, I play it everyday, I rarely touch any other class and I love WvW and tpvp. Ill be the first to tell you that Arena Net was correct, and we were well deserving of a good dose of the nerf bat. Im fine with all the nerfs, I still use Cleansing Water, and although it lost alot of its muster, it has in no way become a broken trait. The nerf to our signet heal was deserving and understandable, and even though it hurt me so much, I can live with the mist form nerf.

However, the nerf to RTL makes it so I can no longer roam (my favorite thing to do) in WvW, and completely forces me into the stupid bunker spec everyone seems to be running these days. Not only can I no longer escape from basic professions such as warriors, but I can barely follow my thief friend around the map anymore without him stopping to wait for me to catch up.

The nerf from 1500-1200 was perfectly justified but a 40 second cooldown, doubling (really, your not gonna at least try 30 first?) the original cool down when escaping is just to much. People can say what they want “cry more, you have plenty of mobility, look at us mesmers or necros.” But to be perfectly honest, that comparison just doesn’t work for me. mesmers have plenty stealth + blink combos that will safely allow them to escape combat, necros not only have an insanely high health pool, along with a second life force, but they also have minions and fear. You can go down the board and find something for almost all the professions.

Now people may counter this and say, well who cares if eles lowest armor, health pool, no stealth, no pets, no ability to swap between ranged and melee…etc..They still have best heals and condition removal. Alright, whether I believe that or not, ill accept that argument, and in turn propose that the developers instead find something else to nerf such as our already laughable damage or whatever they deem fit. I honestly dont care. Make churning earth a 5 second channel and lower fire grab to the damage of an auto attack. I couldnt give a kitten, just allow me to roam once again, I dont wanna be forced to roll a thief just like everyone else, a light armored squishy (at least, my build was squishy) melee spec should be able to have the mobility to choose their battles…at least give us that, because as of right now, I have completely lost the one thing that I truly enjoyed in this game.

TLDR: nerf what you have to, take away what you want but please give Dagger Dagger its mobility back.

The solution although in reality very complicated, is actually very simple. Elder logs and mithril are still used because tons of people craft rares all day to throw to forge for precursors for legendarys. How do you fix this? Create legendary armor.

I want to get this cleared up by a dev, and am honestly surprised there hasn’t been some kind of formal post about it already.

How many commendations are we actually supposed to be receiving, and from what actions, barring what time constraints?

Every single person I talk to is sure they have it figured out but they all seem to involve separate theory’s.

-Some believe its a weekly thing that resets sometime during the weekend, with the belief that you can only receive 2 commendations per week for each guild event (up to 5 events, which most guilds have not unlocked more than bounties).

-Some believe its a daily thing revolving around a 24 hour reset much like the EB jp chest.

-Some believe you can gain two commendations per tier, per week.

Which is it? Or is it something completely different?

Also, I realize this isn’t really a topic of general discussion, but of the 3 times I have sent in a bug report and a formal ticket, I have never received any kind of response, nor has the players helping other players forum ever been overly helpful. At least if you feel the need to lock or remove this thread, I will know that you are, at least aware of it.

I honestly dont see the problem with this, I think it would defiantly be more helpful than hurtful as people could practice against certain professions, and learn their animations without having to set up a 1on1 in the mists.

If its really that much of a problem, you could also add guild halls (eventually haha, im not that unreasonable) and only allow dueling while in the presence of the guild hall. That way people could make an event out of it and have tourneys with their guildys. It would also take away the problem of people who are worried about getting pestered with duel requests (although there would obviously be an option to turn those requests off anyways).

I guess I just dont see the problem, its probably way easier than fixing a task like culling and some of the other stuff going on, plus it could benefit the game in alot of ways.

No Mist Drops From Fractals

Im not sure if this is a bug, or just another case of bad luck with the RNG Gods, but either way, I cannot find an answer so I thought I should post it.

Vial of Condensed Mists Essence – 3
Glob of Coagulated Mists Essence – 0
Shard of Crystallized Mists Essence – 0

That is the entirety of my Mists drops from just over 80 fractals. I am now lev 15 in fractals and have completed my 10 daily’s, gaining my second ring. I have just realized this problem while looking up what it would take for me to fully upgrade my rings. The fact is, I am just not getting any Mists drops. I know that now that I am level 15, I should be getting globs, but I have not seen one, and haven’t even seen a vial in about 40 fractals. Its slightly frustrating because their is no alternative method to getting these mist’s, and even more frustrating hearing from most of my guild members that they get around 1 every 4 fractals, and even one guildie in my party who received 3 vials from the same group of mobs.

Is there any other option than running full MF? Because I would prefer not to so that I do not hinder the group just for my own personal rewards. I do however run with MF food, which is apparently, not enough.

How do I get more mists essence so that I can partake in the higher level fractals when I get there?

Didn't Count an Arah Path

So I was finishing up my Arah paths for dungeon master today, and all i needed was path 3. However, after I ran it and checked my achievements, it said that I had only completed 4/5 paths. I am 100% sure this is untrue, and even have proof as I still have all the tokens from the 4 paths, and my pact victory thing for defeating Zhaitan was used to buy a scepter, and I finished my personal story which is further proof of completing the story mode. I honestly have no idea which path the game is thinking that I haven’t run, and I really don’t ever want to set foot in most of these paths ever again (especially 4…).

Is there anyway that my paths could could be made 5/5 to show up correctly, or at least a way for me to see which path the game thinks im missing (honestly im still amazed that option isnt even in the game)?

P.S. Please don’t ignore this post like my last one about the loss of gold and dungeon tokens during your roll back. I don’t see any point in posting in the game bugs section if no one from the company actually looks at it, again, sorry if im coming off a little strong here. Im just slightly frustrated with how some of the situations with these dungeon problems has been handled.

Arah is one of the few dungeons I haven’t tackled yet. Mostly because I’m lazy. I mean yeah I’ve done story mode, and I tried explorable mode back when Giganticus Lupicus was bugged, and haven’t gone back in since. I suppose I have to though. I want to at least see the content.

Other than Dwayna, its really not to bad, After about 2 runs, you will master Lupi. Hes really not to hard, and we rarely wipe on him anymore. However, Dwayna in path 4 is really the only one that I feel goes against Arena Nets terminology of, any class/gear combo should be able to complete any content/dungeon. In that situation, I don’t see how you could complete it with guardians, necros, or engis. I honestly feel its near impossible without multiple Zerker warriors.

I just got out of Arah path 4 after 5.5 hours, and Ive really only got two things to say; kitten Dwayna, that was the lamest thing I have ever done in my life, I will never go back, and…Man do I feel like a kittenin Champ right now! Trying to pug stuff like that is infinitely inferior to finding a guild and friends to play with.

The downside of pugs is that you don’t know who you’re going to get. In a guild you meet people, play with them, learn who is who and what to expect. You form natural teams of people who play well together and have a good time together.

I recently finished (with my guild) Crucible of Eternity on every path. I have to say, that dungeon basically sucks. We have the submarine path down pretty okay but the other two just bite. Really really really bite.

So yeah, why would anyone randomly want to do it. At least with guildies, they back you up, and don’t rage quit..at least mine don’t. They muscle through, figure things about and you can talk about it later.

Remember that time in CoE when Coffee had to solo the boss because everyone else died….and we kept waiting for him to die so we could restart, but he just kept going and beat him. Yeah, that really happened.

Anyway guilds usually have voice software which makes completing dungeons a whole lot easier.

I did, but i play at weird hours, so that might be the reason that the only thing you can see on there is “path 1 speed run! Need a Mes!”

Its starting to get kind of ridiculous, but as I have now realized; people are only willing to run paths that are worth their time and money. It has been near impossible for me to find a group for COF path 3, or Arah path 4. Certain paths take way to long and do not provide enough incentive’s to be ran more than once. I have been trying for three weeks to find a group for these dungeons, unsuccessfully, and honestly, finding a good enough group for Arah at this stage in the game is pretty difficult in itself, I just ran my first Arah path last week, and the group mentality was so elitist that I felt I would surely be kicked if I was the cause of a wipe on Lupi.

I understand Dungeon Master is an elite title not meant for every average joe to come collect just for playing. But the difficulty is not even really the problem. The problem seems to be that everyone who wants the title already has it, and never wants to run anything but speed runs ever again. Even in my guild of 500, it is very tough to find guildies willing to run some of these paths.

I feel there should be a little more incentive’s for these difficult and time consuming paths, maybe add an extra chest, or more tokens. Either way, I feel something needs to be done to keep this content from going unused, and basically locked away.

Does anyone share my concerns?

I originally planned to make a tanky healer, and wanted to trait toward Power, Toughness, and Healing Power for the burst heals. However, from what everyone has been telling me, it seems healing power is completely pointless and PVT would be way more effective to trait for. Can anyone at lest tell me why this is, because I would way rather be more of a healer than a tank, but I don’t want to be hamstringing myself in the process.

For a little background, I was originally Scepter Dagger, But have changed to Dagger Dagger, as I have found it to be much more effective.

Please don’t ping me for being “another stereotypical DD ele” I just want to know if, and why HP is so “ineffective.”

Honestly, all the ones that involve other people or some form of teamwork take easily 4 times as long as the others, the combos was just…bad. But even the 10 revivals is pretty tough. 10 is a lot, 5 sounds more reasonable, I never come across dead people and npcs, and the only way I can get this one is to cheat and go to malchors leap everyday with the bridge event, it just doesn’t feel right.

I mean really Arena Net, I had 5 of them done and than got booted out of game and it reset all of them, so I tried again and even though I was finishing and not getting credit, I kept grinding until i had only 2 left and than dailys reset, when that was the last thing I had to do…really this is some bs.

BTW, I have realized that it does not recognize any blast or leap finishers even if its for the last hit and kill (at least for my class, so were forced to work with 20% projectile finishers..)

Please fix this, I already got cheated out of my dungeon tokens during that roll back earlier this week, its starting to get irritating.

Ill take your side Op as im an asuran and hate stuff that doesn’t have particle effects, because you can’t see it at all on asurans. It doesnt matter if the detail looks better, its small and people arent gonna see it when running by you, but they will see awesome particle effects which it looks like the new one has less of. I honestly don’t really get it. I mean how many events have we had? Enough for people to start understanding Arena Nets way of doing things? I guess not… They always release it the day they say and they always release it during the nighttime of that day unless they notify us of it being released earlier, yet every time i see someone biching about “Its the 29th over here in Hong Kong, yall didnt keep your promise.” They have repeadetly stated they operate on Pacfic Coast timezone. Sigh…Well I didn’t expect to get any response from support as I never had in the past. I guess thats just how they run this game, oh well, but I feel your pain for Arah path 1, that really sucks.

Honestly, its very normal for any profession, and especially a light armored, lowest health pool Ele to be dying a lot at the lower levels. Dont worry about it to much and just try to level up, once you get around the 50+ level range and get some actual traits along with decent damage mitigation and vitality armor, you will be better off. The beginning levels are good practice for learning how to dodge, because you can be wiped out pretty easily.

if you were running with an asuran by the IGN of Big Sean, than yes, we were in the same group. Otherwise, we were both just equally unfortunate in separate instances haha.

Me and my group had just finished AC Exp path 3 and got the final reward after killing Colossus right when the game crashed. In the game I had enough time to accept the chest and 60 tears, but when I logged back in it shows up as me no longer having them. Is there anyway I will see these tokens again or do I just get to be unlucky today?

BTW, Im also unsure if I got credit for the gold and karma reward, however, I can’t accurately check those because I am unaware with what I had to begin with. It would be cool if this was looked into.

Im not gonna look it up for you because im to high and you are capable of doing it by yourself. However, you can take my word for it, something was said about there being new guild/ guild quests content.

I think there’s an easy solution to all this.

Every time someone crys on the forums about class balance, Arena net should lock their account so they can only play the class they cried about. Than give us a full report on how it went.

I mean seriously OP, go play an Ele through various assets of the game. Its a good class and a fun one, ill give you that. But its really not that OP, the balance is pretty good and I dont think any class really needs a nerf although rangers and necros could probably use a buff. Because I know whats gonna happen if they even try to tweak stuff, its quite hard and it will most likely destroy a few classes for another few months till their turn rolls around again. Seriously, yall need to chill out and analyze the situation before you come crying to ma…. I mean A Net.
