I think this thread was created as a platform for other server to voice their opinions, we do not want any shady dealings (as stated we are not excepting any gold offers). We are making this move public and clearing all doubts. Any clarification can come to me or Grekkz(He say his email is already full LOLZ).

We mostly made from Malaysia(Yours truly), Singapore, Aussies, NZder. We play WvW since the birth of GW2 in SoS. Thus we have a very tight brother/sisterhood between us. We will not leave any of our members behind.

Sadly you are right ping can be a deal breaker…but from past NA guilds here i heard is not nearly as bad as you might think. Ask PRX they Played on SFR. Not to mention medium server = free transfer.

As stated we are from an area where high speed internet is like for the rich only. So US speeds and SEA speeds are nothing a like.

The problem I foresee moving to medium size server is the transfer itself. True if 1 or 2 people transfer it will be fine, but what happen if we transfer half way and the server suddenly became high pop? We have to pay no matter what, it is a risk also.

The free transferred will be considered, but as stated, we want to find a new home since we hate transferring a lot of time since it takes a lot of logistics and time which can be used to play WvW.

Please stay on topic. Even with free transfer to medium server, it wont be enough to give us a reason to join medium pop servers.

Grekkz will still make the decision but i am here as a direct reply officer for the forums. Any small questions i can answer or pass to Grekkz. Server that provides us with information as requested by Grekkz will be highly considered.

We are currently still discussing and will have a guild meeting again tonight. Thanks for all your invites. Please understand this is a very heartbreaking moment for us. We love everybody in SoS. We are leaving because of our guild interest in WvW not that we hate anybody as AFS has always has good relationship with every guild our there.

As i commented, i do not speak for AFS because my account just got unblock (formatted my phone and lost my authentication) so i miss a few guild meetings lately. The end please refer back to Grekkz. Im just giving my personal reasoning.

This is my personal experience and not AFS but for me, Colin’s post about free transfer is a little useless. Seeing as how the new update on WvW will reward you if you ‘DO’ more WvW not PvDoor, transferring to a lower tier server is just counter productive.

That said, as an AFS member (not AFS as a whole) would just like to find more action. I am personally sad to leave SoS as we started here and stay the longest before even considering the option of transferring. I will leave the server judgement to Grekkz and will support him 100%. We worked with many guilds from around the world and they can vouch for us that we will make a difference in your server.

Please stay on topic and post the stuff required by Grekkz and we will look into it. Thanks.

Need some help with the guild missions. I have a few questions

1) I know it is limited weekly to 1 chest per week per mission type, but can i represent another guild on the same week to get the chest. For example I did the Guild Bounty in guild A then move to guild B and do guild bounty. Will I get chest for both representation?

2) When is the weekly reset? Is it the same as WvW? Or 1 week after we do the event?

Why dont we just stop playing WvW all together. I find no reason to play lately also. PvE is so MUCH more rewarding then WvW. Why are we playing this stupid gamemode?

I transferred to JQ before the announcement of the end of free transfers. If you want to know why, it’s because I saw a thread saying they were recruiting. In that thread I saw some things I liked, and then I spoke with someone from JQ and this is the impression I got: They don’t run from fights, most people use their community TS to coordinate, there’s no in house drama, there’s tough competition, and JQ never gives up. These are the things that made me transfer to JQ, a few weeks before they announced the end of free transfers, before any large guilds moved there, when they were constantly losing T1. My problem right now is that it seems that only the “tough competition” part is true anymore.

Does not add up. As you can see, your angle only hits the side wall. The picture clearly shows that the circle is centered on the siege.

Yes, getting 500 badges is that hard. I’ve been doing far more WvW than I care to in the effort to get World Completion and to get the 50 kills per month for most monthlies, and I’ve racked up several hundred kills, but I’m still only at well less than 100 badges. It would take me years to earn 500 badges purely through combat, and I definitely wouldn’t care to try. Even farming the jump puzzles is more hassle than it should be.

And please tell me where would WvW players get T6 mats? I play 2 hours a day and get around 20 badges a night. I think its your playstyle. I think i don’t like PvE as much as u don’t like WvW but doing PvE is the only option i have to make a Legendary. Why can’t you all follow us also? Play WvW properly to get your badges not just jump along some 2 minutes puzzle for them.

Sorry but i love doing jumping puzzles. They always are in my first to do list when new ones come out. But is it possible to remove badges from WvW jumping puzzles. I do not mind you add more but just remove the badges from the chest please.

My advise is to post the patch note and see the playerbase reactions to them. Balancing a game is never easy but at least listen to feedbacks from your playerbase.

Why wait till big patch. Some changes take little time to do to fix WvW.

1) Remove badges from jumping puzzle. 1 day job. Can definitely be done in 1 week.
2) Add daily WvW kills in rotation. They can remove a daily in hours(Combo daily). This can be done in a day easily with their skill. The template for WvW kills is already available last time.
3) Remove bugs and exploit. Not sure how long it would take but many holes around the maps and the jumping exploit is still being used after being reported for nearly 2 months already.

These change should be done by this week easily(at least 1 and 2). I do not see a reason why it cannot be done.

Im not blaming JQ for recruiting but to not see that you guys have already gotten better transfers then BG and SoS with coverage is just being blind.

I expect SoS and BG to come out with excuses but there should be no excuses for JQ to lose.

SoS started as PvE server remember that. So our moral and zerging mostly come with the help from random PvE guilds. JQ is a more full fledged WvW to me. They started as a WvW server and keep it in tier 1.

What do you mean by act? What advantage will that get me. Im in no way representing SoS. Just stating the fact as you can see in score and screenshot. Even the SBI scout said. JQ is a better WvW server. SoS the moral is on the PvErs. Thats my experience. So i say congratz on number 1 JQ. If you don’t want my congratulations it is find its just me congratulation not the whole of SoS or BG.

JQ is the no 1 server now no doubt. With server stacking and endless coverage. SoS always had their members burned out during WvW to make up for our lack in numbers.

This is our coverage. Taken just 5 minutes ago. 2 people vs 30 PRX zerg. If they can spare 30 people to wipe 2 person then u guys ARE the stack server

I think most GMT+8 people is at Sea of Sorrows. Its always full at that time. But since server transfers, most people would be at JQ because it the stacked server now. The server is great for people who do not want to go to the no.1(SoS) server and get free wins but also will be no.1 server soon™.

Sorry guys, but oceanics belong to JQ. U say your outman 3/4 map? I do not believe it at all. We are outmanned 4/4 maps then. Here is a picture i capped during 9PM GMT+8. 2v1 aside it is OBVIOUS that we are outmanned. Less then 10 people. We cant even start siegerazer. On the second picture you can see BG. Easily 20 right there.

Oh come on dont be so modest now. The months i fought JQ even with WM in SBI this is a most amount of forces i seen from JQ during oceanic.

FOO is one of our staple Oceanic/SEA guilds. They are very important in our oceanic coordination as they help coordinate everything in their time slot.

Which server? Its not a flame war. Im just interested to see how our servers stack up. No chest thumping here. Yeah i forgot about ONE somehow LOL.

Fact is for me my vote goes to JQ for best coverage. SOS second. Sorry BG but i love facing the THAI guild but they are just not enough sometime.

i’ve played enough mmo pvp to know that anyone who loses instantly throws up the ‘they exploited’ excuse.

We have multiple people running fraps at any given time, I’ll check with guild and get an upload if I can. I understand your skepticism, I read the same things on forums every day, but I have never in my experience on JQ seen so much exploit utilization in a T1 match-up. To further what I was saying, we had a waypoint on that keep, and have kept this waypoint all day long. I watched the swords show up in the lords room and the waypoint never contested. Take from that what you will.

Something is not right. You see orange swords in lords room and the waypoint is up? Why dont you just teleport in and save it? Something bout your story just does not add up.

SoS does talk an extreme amount of smack after losing by 70kish points last week.

What other server tells the other they shouldn’t be in T1 after just losing to them…(and only on 2.5 days out of a 7 day struggle.)

On a side note the real wvw struggle between the oldest GW2 enemies JQ/SBI is coming to an end this week after a long and bloody struggle. Good fights SBI, good luck in T2. I shall stab you more when you return.

What you are saying is impossible. You want great survivability, support and DPS. I suggest totally getting DPS out of your mind. What you want is a hybrid and you wont get the best of all worlds.

As you said you are running a 2 meditation build which already does not support your friend in any way.

Having a build for 1v1 does not mean that the build will be good in party fights. If you fighting in WvW with only 2 person, then i suggest forget about support and directly going for meditation because there is no perfect build which can be played in every situation. I always change my build in WvW depending on what is happening. Switching out shouts for wall of reflection etc. So there is no such thing as 1 build to rule them all.

Meditations = Solo
Shouts = Party

If you are playing solo in WvW then your playing it wrong. And the buff for shouts like Hold the Line has regen and reduces incoming damage by 33%. Also shouts has a faster cooldown then meditations.

I think AH is on par with Meditations. Just see if you want to solo or not. But as i said if you play solo in WvW then you playing it wrong.

The shield #4 also heal u when u buff 5 persons. I usually would recommend a staff because of empower which can heal you for around 6k hp but its your call. Remember that you can reequip out of combat, nothing wrong carrying an extra weapon. Staff has an extra speed buff to boost for chasing people with your party.

I think this build is kind of messy.

I will comment on your comments.

I – AH’s heals are lame and I won’t survive becouse of that. But it goes well with Healer’s Retribution. With 2 shoults and a buffing signet, I can keep retaliation up for a long time.
AH heal not lame, did you know AH heal also work with our virtues? You can heal by just using virtues and Renewed focus

II – Inscribed Removal with 2 signets avaiable, Purity and Signet of Resolve’s passive grant me good condition removal.
Since your using Signets the passive of SoR is not enough and too random to help u. I find that using Pure of voice with soldier runes can better fight conditions

III – Sword and Shield is a good combination and Honorable Shield makes it even better.
Its hard to use sword in WvW because of the abilities. #3 wont hit for crap and leave u standing there like a big target. The #2 is good but does not deal damage and the dps for sword is one of the lowest for guardians. I advise taking a scepter since its the second highest DPS and also have a immobilizer. I feel stopping the opponent to help your party deal damage is better then chasing him alone and in the end getting gank

IV – 30 points in Radiance helps me having better DPS.
If you going for cri, get around 40% or dont even try to get DPS.

V – Sword and Greatsword help me keep close to my target. Despite of Salve Yourselves’s high cooldown, it also helps on that.
Save(Not Salve) is a double edge sword, please remember that you draw all condition around you, your build does not remove condition fast enough.

VI – Renewed Focus recharges my virtues so with Virtue of Resolve up again, I can get another stack of retaliation.

Please remember that retaliation deals a flat damage of 325 and it does not reflect the damage. You will still receive 100% of the damage. So retaliation is kinda useless against burst damage users like warriors or thief.

And if your planning of using your sword and going into the thick of battle, shelter is a better healing spell cause the amount of damage that will be absorb will be higher that all the other healing spells can heal.

Actually it can be melee but its luck i say. If the AOE hits around the Fire Element then it GG to melee.

Fire Element now and when the game was released is different. They nerf it.

I’m going to reply specifically to your reference of WoW and melee taking less damage. This is true, however almost every single boss fight in WoW, since WotLK has been melee unfriendly. Mechanics that require moving in and out, aoe damage and cleaves (particularly bad with tank switching) it’s just as bad but the only difference is healers can sometimes keep the melee alive…sometimes.

You said your main is a Guardian, and I will admit I do not know a ton about the profession but I know there are abilities that reduce incoming damage or negate it completely, heals out the wazoo, condition removals, boon granting skills, ability to prevent the mob from getting to you, roots, blinds, knock backs, shields, blocks…etc…

Dodge is not the only tool on your belt. It sounds to me you want all of what the Guardian has to offer and that of the other professions in the game.

If that were the case, there would be 0 reason to play anything other than the Guardian.

Its different. Here is why, melee is weaker then range in this game because of 2 things. AOE and Condition damage. AOE spells usually are around the boss which will effect melee. It is easy to block or the damage can be reduce as u said but how bout AOE condition damage? It is not reduced by any buff. The only way to do that is with condition removal. But wait, since im in melee range, Im still in the AOE condition area, the condition will just stack back. So i must move out of melee range and out of the circle. Which renders my attack useless for a few seconds.

See that? That is why melee is weak. This same problem happens when the game got out and everybody could not kill the fire elemental boss event. The AOE around was crazy and only range people could kill him.

Im sorry like GW2 over WoW. People will follow the standard will never improve thats all im going to say.

Please unbanned my friend syNc.5840 account. He lend me 30 gold so that i can sell my pre cursor. I suggest you review your banning system as your created it in a way that it auto bans almost everybody who gold transfer using mails.

First i got the precursor Dusk from mystic forge and the reason i needed that gold was also because of the tax listing tax on the TP. Its around 29 gold for the listing. So i asked my friend to lend me some money to sell since i only have 5 gold. Now i have sold of my pre cursor and also wish to give him back his gold but im afraid that the system will detect that i got hacked and ban me.

Please advise me in what way is the best way to donate or transfer gold between friends since it will be banned if i do so.

The spirit of the game is to have fun. What the hell you guys been playing come on? As I said this is not an exploit as there was nothing gain from what they done.

Get off your high horse bout gold crown. There is nothing. We WvW is getting the bitter end of this game and we should try to have fun whenever we can. Release some stress guys. I stop WvW for a week and i feel so much relax from the tension happening in the forums and in game.

Just cool your heads that all im going to say. I know somebody will quote me and say back things bout me because this is the type of environment that somehow it has become beyond competitive in this game. All im going to say is congratz to all this week and have fun next week.

Let me assure you that it is no wall jumping or exploit. It is an easy jump. As easy to jump in as it is to jump into the vale supply camp from the south east exit.

This by no means an insult. Its the end of the week and i think these guys just want to have fun. You all get free loot from them so whats to complain.

Hey everybody is childish. I seen person kick people mid way dungeon because he was a newbie. This is not only in WvW, it happens everywhere. If people kick you out from a dungeon half way what do you feel? The same right? So don’t blame only the WvW people. Its in every game and community that has these people.
