Anet does not know create good rewards. They does not value the effort.
PVE rewards are much better than those of WvW, with less effort.In WvW, we want EXCLUSIVE rewards for the first three Servers.
If my server wins the League we want to have a exclusive weapon design and an exclusive FINISHER PERMANENT.
and no one should ever be able to get it, even from PVE (forge mystic, …)We want something that differentiates us from others.
I would like to say: “I was there and we won” and you… not. Look at my Finisher!, Look at my weapon!9 week, 24 hour = great effort. Anet, value it!
The problem there is the same as last league. Servers don’t win the league cus of skill of play. Its simply who has more coverage. League hasn’t started yet and the winners are pretty much already decided.
We can speak like “this NA\EU server will win league” because from game launch in 2012 we didn`t see any changes or even try to change PPT mechanics. It is just another topic about “Why WvW design is bad”
There is one simple fact:
Every cent spent on ESO, and be it just the box price, will be a missed opportunity for ANet to make some cash.
And for us players that means, we get less. Doesn’t look like WvW is a priority, what do you think happens if they have even less money to spend on content?
Nothing change because…seems like WvW developers team is really small already.
We’re not talking about GW2, we’re talking about WvW.
Fact is, Anet have pretty well abandoned development of WvW – there’s no percentage in it for them.
If they actually listen to feed back from players instead of ignoring us, – well, the sky’s the limit. Anet will either have to completely rework WvW along the lines we’ve been begging for in order to revitalise it, or abandon it to the ghosts.
I predict it will be the latter.

WvW need re-working match-up system into Red vs Blue vs Green
Goal of proposal
I think re-working WvW match-up system into Red vs Blue vs Green with choosing campaign for some time(ESO style) will be good and necessary solution in future for dead servers…yes! this game has dead servers.
Proposal Functionality
Rewamp game into ONE server. When players login into WvW they choose campaign and side(color) for one week(or more)
Associated Risks
Any risk…only profit for players who still play WvW and don`t want to play with empty borderlands!

Generally, gw2 is a PvE game, the lore/background story/etc etc support that. None of the stories has shown WvW having any impact on the overall story. WvW is nothing more than a extension of the game to satisfy the players needs to pk. In other words, WvW is not a integrated part of the overall plot.
It also because of that, many doesn’t have much interest to WvW as it has little to no impact to the overall progression. “So what we win WvW? So what we lose WvW?” It doesn’t matter, it won’t leave any impact to the story or progression and since it doesn’t impact anything, it is not important. If anyone need to do dungeons, no worries, you can do it through LFG. If anyone need to do living story, no worries, you can guest to other servers. If anyone need badges, no worries, you can obtain them through achievement chests and jumping puzzles. Want a fast match where you can be there from the start to the end, we have EOTM! So, what purpose does WvW serve? Some might say WvW buffs, seriously, those are a joke.
We are talking not about profit from play WvW. We are talking about fun and pvp with siege\tactic\strategy and victory! Guild wars 2 become mood for such type of players…We don`t enjoy it anymore!
sadly, WvW is dead and not growing/improving in any way. I honestly see a lot of people leaving for ESO. not me personally, but a lot of others.
A half of my guild will go for ESO launch and another half think about it…so my guild already dead in GW2…we were a big part of SFR WvW community…
People got tired of playing for PPT.
People tired to play in game without new content to WvW and good balance patches…
1. ESO has better optimization(more FPS less lagg)
2. Target style of pvp and less animation(this freaking aoe in gw2 burn my eyes)
3. Enemies die in pvp…without stupied rallybringers and they run from start point!
So there are some points of advantage…
1. Make Spirit weapons immune to damage but less powerful;
2. Reduce CD on shield`s skills and rewamp Shield Absorption to work like Sanctuary;
3. Add symbols to sword and scepter weapon skills.
What do you guys think about it? What do you want to change in Guardian?

WvW’s been the same since start so people get bored of it eventually.
As for Eotm, i think its only pretty looking map with champion farming u cant call that WvW. I cant say anyone that i know ingame that actually likes eotm. Maybe all this work could’ve been used to improve current maps and systems.
This is the biggest problem. ANet really done nothing for WvW. That’s why people will move to ESO because of “something new” when GW2 “the same from 2012”…
Where are FPS and Lag improvements?
Where are new type of siege?
Where are new tiers of defence upgrade?
Where are new mechanics on WvW borderlands?
Where are really something new?

A lot of people will leave for ESO. Some will be back. In any case, Anet’s doing a pretty good job of killing WvW with lack of attention towards the game mode — ESO isn’t the biggest problem.

I think there has been good discussion around the concepts of world pride and how the changes in EotM affect that. Let’s pivot to a different concept from EotM and how it could apply to WvW.
I’m curious what you all think about choke points as strategic ideas. I don’t think we’d ever want a map that was just a bunch of canyons, this isn’t Sparta or Thermopylae, but having areas that make it harder for large groups to get through if they are well-defended creates gameplay. Think of a tower that guards the only pass through a canyon, rather than bridges everywhere. Is that something that, in moderation, could provide for more varied and strategic gameplay?
For the purposes of the question, think in terms of building a new map from scratch, rather than retrofitting the current maps.
Just nerf AOE skills —→ make game more about target\direct damage and WWW become beatiful also this fix condition damage weakness…
Seems like everyone OK with WvW today and it future (-_-)

AOE one of things that destroying this game…
From the start of Guild wars 2 WvW was a main feature that can hold players in game for a long time. We fought like 24 \ 7 for each point, grade and captured the fortress feared losing T3 Bay on the enemy map. But…eventually became clear that ANet is not going to develop this area of the game and let it go on the same threshing. SO what we have now?
- most of best WvW guilds leave tha game
- players stopped defending objects and just roll on the map from point to point taking each other T1 keeps and towers
- apotheosis of all this is the new map(EOTM), which is nothing more than a train from point to point where no one defence keeps…just farming…for farming
- old borderlands are half-empty. People playing only at EB and EOTM…because of better farming
- game lost the spirit of war and strategic battles
- and of course I must say about blobs and AOE everywhere in WvW like the main game style for profit…
In late March, will start the new season .. or League. But also we know that will go to release ESO without FPS drop in large battles and without AOE pew pew pew…
I just concerns about WvW future…
May be ANet have something really big for WvW for Spring release? or we will see the empty borderlands…

1. Add all dungeons story mode into FOTM.
2. Separate dredge fractal into 2 fractals: from start to bomb event: Legendary suit\Ice elem like the last fractal boss fight.
3. Add some new stuff that we can buy with fractal relics and pristine relics.

I think it is a great change for SPirit weapons.
And not quite good changes for sword and shield. Sword like other good guardian weapon need a symbol. Shield need better CD reduction and also re-making of skill #5

What I hope to see:
-Condition cap removed
-At least 1 new weapon for each class
-The beginning of meaningful PVE (separate PVP/PVE, remove Defiant, etc)
-At least 2 new utility skills for each class, or a complete Elite skill rebalance.
-A new explorable zone
-More Elder Dragon story.What I expect to see:
-A new RNG box added to the gem store.
-A new daily-capped currency type.
-Something vaguely resembling what has been asked for (example: Guild halls) but not actually what anyone wants (no useful function to it) that simultaneously requires a massive grind (like the new currency).
-More Scarlet.

ALso I really don1t like “2 weeks plan” because most of times we get only new achievments and some stupied Scarlet story. I can remember only 4-5 good releases this year…everything else – trash.
I wanna to see 1 or 2 months content release but good and solid with challenge and something new…

Too many balance for “dead” part of game(sPvP). Arena need to make all skills balance only for WvWvW. In my opinion PvE don`t need balance.

When I play Guild wars 2 in the headphones keep hearing strange hissing. When I use Alt+tab to windows the hiss disappears, as well it is absent when I listening music or watching movies. How can I get rid of this?
