Intresting… Why Did DEVs so difficult to write at least one sentence in problem subjects?
Dear DEVs… Christmas is coming =) It is time for mirracle and gifts.
We had so many topics in this forum about “Aegis visual effect” … we asked you to remove it or remake. And know I am asking you: can you make Virtue of Courage passive effect triggered only in combat?
I think that this change will make many people from our community verry happy.
Something like : 1s of Aegis every 40s…
I think this is also save for guardians “Aegis destroy my shield visual aethetic look” problem.
Now if we have 10 sec of Aegis boon it mean that during 10 sec we can block one hit. I think this is bad and poor idea.
I suggest: If we have 1 sec of Aegis boon it mean during 1 sec we can block all attacks. Ofcourse after this remake need to change all skills that grant Aegis boon to 1-2 sec duration.
This change will make Aegis boon very good and strong situational defence.
Best in slot:
1. Staff
2. Hammer
3. Greatsword
4. Mace
5. Focus
6. Torch
7. Scepter
8. Sword
9. Shield
Oh crap…we asking this from release…
The change to sword damage from 5% to 10%. I’ve seen a lot of talk that maybe it is not really needed. The fact was this was a lackluster trait and this is a lackluster change to it. I would love to do the right thing here and have a change that MH sword wants rather than just 5% more damage.

We saying about “mobility” with sword
I want to see that sword skills doesn`t root me – if I use sword #3 I can walk\run etc. If I use sword #2 I want to decide place and way of teleport.
If DEVs team want to burst sword damage then give a condition to sword skills or attacks.
So simple…
I think Aegis need a rework…something like:
- Aegis boon block all attack;
- Aegis boon have a duration-style block;
- If I have 2 sec of Aegis boon – I block all attacks during 2 sec;
!!!
“Hold the line” doesn`t take bonus from boon duration.
Healing breeze need to be “heal around guardian”
Also I like idea to make virtues like aura around guardian with one virtue active in one time.

You know, I’m very disappointed with yesterday’s patch, however let’s continue to fill this subject with our ideas … perhaps DEVs will hear us!
Our complication that we still have useless weapons(sword and shield)and utility skills(spirit weapons and signets) in WvWvW. And this stupid feel that if you want to be a team player and good player in your static\guild etc. you need to play with GS\STaff|Hammer…maybe mace+focus and use shouts+one consecration or meditation for solo or roaming. So we play in this builds one year ago…and Anet says to us “go on…love this gameplay and forgot about your profession others skills and weapons”

So…Yeah…I am angry!

I think that Anet must fire people who work on the balance of classes and skills…they work poorly!

So what do you want to change in your profession?
My list:
- delete time limit from spirit weapons;
- give a symbol to sword; make sword ability #3 cast on move;
- give a blast finisher and aegis boon to shield or re-make shield to block attacks(shield must block!); also reduce CD on shield`s skills;
- make all “utility” signets instant cast;
- nerf Staff skills #1 and #4;
Dear DEVs PLEASE remake aegis visual effect for good!
Guardian`s shield need some love! Give to us blast finisher and aegis buff – shield must block attacks!
Dear DEVs new human female hairstyle with flower through out from human tier 3 heavy armor and may be some others armor in game. Fix it!
shield is most horrible offhand for guardian or warrior in this game. Guardian can`t block with shield…it`s like a stupid joke lol…

PLs Dear Devs make Aegis effect invisible(maybe in options) because it destroys the appearance of all shields in game.
As I just read from dulfy.net many legendaries will have a good re-texturing and light effects but “No change to Twilight/Sunrise/Flameseeker Prophecies/Rodgort – we felt they were awesome already”.
Flameseeker Prophecies one of the worst legendary without skill animation(Twilight/Sunrise/The Dreamer etc) and without footfalls.

TXAA
Anti-aliasing smoothes out jagged edges but can be demanding on framerates. TXAA is an in-game option that combines MSAA, temporal filtering, and post processing for even higher visual fidelity.
TXAA now using in Assassin’s Creed III, The Secret World, ArcheAge etc.

As I know GeForce cards(family 600) can force TXAA from driver options. Did anybody try to force TXAA into GW2?
I am very sad that sword\shield guardian build is a bad choice…
There are “zero” new builds because DEVs doesn`t understand what guardian community want.
Warrior sword was not bad weapon before patch and now it is a good weapon. Guardian sword was a bad choice and remained…
Sword is pretty strong on paper. Fast attacks, multi hitting auto attack which procs virtue of justice every rotation, high mobility, and for shortage of gap closer you have a projectile blocker available until your port is ready.
Biggest problem with sword is that it is a single target oriented weapon and AE weapons can do just as much damage and perform better in a majority of the fights you will encounter.
On a boss PvE fight or even in a 1v1 fight, sword will perform well. Same goes for scepter as it suffers from the same design ideas of fast attacking but single target oriented.
Throwing out a random statistic, 95% of the fights you run into throughout the game are group oriented fights, making sword and scepter only shine in about 5% of the game. Made up statistics are made up, but the idea I think holds true.
The other downside to sword is that ZD is (as so often pointed out) not strong enough to warrant use most of the time. Added on top of the fact that you are rooted in place and it is easy to run out of the projectile range or even strafe them.
Faster projectiles, or homing projectiles can assist making this better. Higher damage wouldn’t hurt as well. As it is now though, it is more of a utility thing than a primary on cooldown attack.
The approximate “burst” time of ZD is about 2 seconds worth of casting give or take. The auto attack chain is also an approximate 2 second rotation. Our auto chain hits 5 times while zd will hit 8 times. Shorten VoJ procs to 4 hits to burn and ZD will do slightly more damage than the auto chain, but that is a lot of trait points to made ZD “almost” useful in the sense of damage.

Spirit weapons buff but only for PvE and sPvP(at WwWwW it will be die instantly)
Zeal traits buff for GS but GS now the most Guardian DPS weapon already.
More Heal from Shouts build – lol shouts build only one for teamplay if you are guardian.
Any really good change for Radiance and Virtues…
