I want to play “classic knight” sword and shield but I can`t do this because if I want to be team player – I must to use mace+shield or hummer and staff;
if I want to deal max damage – I must to use sword+torch or greatsword.
And if I want to be a bad player or bag with loot I can play stupid sword+shield…

Our guardians community think that sword skills at WvWvW\PvE useless for our profession. I hope you will do some good changes in future expansion…
In WvWvW spirit weapons useless(will die instant during battle 20×20 or more also die near gates etc) in PvE bad choice(except shield because also die too much). Anet must bring back “no health” to spirit weapons in WvWvW\PvE…
GW2 give`s such good variability of skills but…all we know that good guardian must play(in group) with shouts or goodbye.
Because of low damage and mobility. If I want to play with off-hand(shield focus torch) I prefer mace(for defense) or scepter(for offense). Sword doesn`t have any defense skills, any symbol, low damage(hello flashing blade), horrible mobility(hello zealot`s defense), big cooldown`s(10\15). May be in sPvP sword is ok but in PvE\WvWvW reality – sword worst guardian weapon choice…
Symbol from auto-attack like a hammer and make “3” movement skill with block.
All we have some good ideas and all we know that sword is most useless weapon for guardian…
Arena.NET pls do something with sword skills !!!
It took 2 months but sword remains the worst choice for guardian because of any symbol, boon and terrible mobility

At PvE and WvWvW AOE is mainstream of all tactics and fights. Sword doesn`t have aoe ability also burst"3" can`t use while moving….
Mace is the best one-handed guardian weapon because of block\aoe
symbol\healing from “1” etc. And you can do all of this by run\dodge\stand\jump…
I hope Anet read this thread…
Some complication:
Mace has 2 aoe abilities\ one symbol \heal opportunity \protection boon.
Hammer has 2 aoe abilities \one symbol \immobilize \blowout \ring of warden \one combo finisher ability
Greatsword has 3-4 aoe abilities \might and retaliation boons \one symbol \three combo finisher abilities
Sword doesn`t has aoe\ boons\ symbols \combo finisher ability…
You know that image of a knight in the legends often depicted with a sword and shield, but you can`t enjoy GW2 by playing guardian with sword in hand…this really sux!

Idea: WvWvW still exist for casual or unguild players
GvGvG just use EBG map for big hardcore guilds with guild ladder…and ofcourse battle is only a couple of hours.

Many big pvp\rvr guilds already leave GW2 or very annoyed from 24\7 WvWvW war. We do not see our own contribution and achievements in this mode – as a result loss of interest to GW2. Game need a GvG war with GvG ladder. As a suggestion Arena can rebuild EBG map into GvGvG map with few hours fight. WvWvW will remain for randoms etc…
I know that some profession helm\shoulder can become account bound by transmutation. So do this work with faction weapon\armor ? Thank for answers!

If you have your video driver crush you need to do:
– if you use Asus card download Asus GPU tweak;
– If you use another card download MSI Afterburner
– install and run this program.
– you need to use option GPU voltage. Increase voltage by 1 or 2 steps(one step is 0.012). For example my GPU voltage was on 0.975 after increase this to 1.000(1st step – 0.987: 2nd – 1.000) I no longer suffer from video driver crash.
- also you need to try increase GPU clock too by 1 or 2 steps(1 step 10 Mhz).
For me it looks like by default I have GPU clock – 775 Mhz GPU voltage – 0.975 and many-many video driver crush. At 800 Mhz(1st step -785 Mhz: 2nd step 795-800 Mhz ) and 1.000 voltage(1st step – 0.987: 2nd step – 1.000) GW2 work fine without video driver crush…
– Then press “apply” and save this profile like “1”
– every time before run GW2 run Asus GPU Tweak or MSI Afterburner and load your saved profile.
Maybe someone will have stable after 1 step for clock and voltage…

What does this mean? For example I have “ring” with some stats: 70 power – 50 condition damage – 50 healing power. This ring is not bad but I don`t need this stats. Re-forge system need to change the stats on item in way that I want to play or build my hero. System will leave the same numerical order(70-50-50 for example) but I can change stats on item – for example to 70 power – 50 vitality – 50 toughness. I think that such system can solve the problem with random drop, grind and whine on forums about unluck drop in FoTM and future dungeons or something. Hope devs will read this topic…

What are you guys think about sword like a guardian weapon? I don`t see sword like DD weapon because damage from is too low and it have only 1 skill with 15 sec CD. Also this weapon don`t have support skills. So how useful the sword for guardian and whether it is useful?
So I have done Fractals of the Mists(really great dungeon) lvl difficulty 12 and didn`t see any ascended rings…I play in 3 specs with 3 different gear sets – so I need 6 rings and 3 backs from now…How much days\month I need to spend for this gear…
I came to this game because developers said “no grind in this game” but know this game become about grind…

Also Jewel orb\shards etc with Power-Vitality-Toughness don`t exist in game too…
