I get aegis everytime I get CC’ed. It’s because the trait Hunter’s Determination is bugged and doesn’t have ICD for Aegis. It doeshave ICD for the trap proc, but it doesn’t have an ICD for the Aegis you get when CC’ed, so you get it everytime you get CC’ed.
It’s broken, pls. Fix it asap.

It does proc AH 5 times as might does ofc. Tested it. It works as intended.
As title says, F3 is not recharging on a successful res as it should be because of the second minor trait of valor.
Please fix it since its a crucial trait on support guardians for pvp.

It DOES work. Just look at the boons themselves, not the tooltips.
Tried it, if you use #3 on staff:
Without trait: at the end you’ll see 15 sec duration.
With trait: at the end you’ll see 19 sec duration.

The shield #4 is working as intended, although its bad designed its not a bug, its just a balance issue (I dont think they said they were gonna unsplit that).
It does work. Tried it.
If you use #3 on staff without trait it lasts 15 sec at the end (you see 15 but its 16).
If you use #3 on staff with trait it lasts 19 sec at the end (you see 19 but its 20).
As the title says, Guardian Stalwart Defender (Master tier, Valor) doesn’t work properly. It is supposed to give 180 toughness when wielding a shield but it gives a huge amount of toughness instead. Then, when you use an ability it goes back to the right numbers ( I believe), although it will give bigger numbers again after swapping back to the shield set.
As the title says, Courageous Return (Guardian, second minor trait in Valor) trait was supposed to recharge your F3 after a successful ress (30 sec ICD) after last patch.
I’ve tried it a lot. It doesn’t work.
Please fix that ASAP.

As the title says, since last patch, not a single corrupt (signet corrupt, dark path traited or corrupt boon) will convert stability into fear, it will only rip stability. That’s a huge handicap for necros, since that’s one of their biggest strengths when a res/stomp is taking place in a competitive PvP perspective.
Please fix that ASAP.

To this is the first time I’ve ever raged at Ferox or even one player specifically. I’m usually just upset at our teams play in general but this match it was only him that played poorly. Things you should note if you watched the stream

I ran off point to try to peel as much as I could but me and gorn truly were 3v2 on point
Ezra was literally solely peeling for Ferox
The only person even targeting him was a d/d cele eleLike we understand this comp requires us to protect our Mesmer and that’s just bout pushing the limit to how much we can do it. If he’s still complaining about too much focus after that much coordination to save him then obviously I’m gonna be pised
It doesnt make sense anyway. If you think he’s bad just tell him that you dont think he’s good enough and you just take another one, but no need to bully someone like this.
Am I the only one who thinks this is painful to watch?
Or is this like a thing with higher ranked PvP?
This actually turns me completely off to even thinking about being on any kind of “team” for PvP; at least on a serious competitive level. If that’s what you mean by painful, then yes it is very painful.
I’d rather be a hot join hero or deal with YoloQ issues.

This is a suposed bug that was fixed but it is because before you could pop it and interrupt/cancel the channel instantly while still maintaining the bubble. So now you should cast it full time but even if you do that, you won’t get 4 sec bubble, which wasn’t changed at all.
The bug is a problem yes, but regarding earlier posts the shield is far from useless. It is still great in places like the FotM lava shaman chamber for when a million elementals spawn (exaggeration). The addition of Aegis on command is a nice addition as well. As with most guardian utility skills, the shield is simply situational and shouldn’t be expected to work in every encounter. Still, a fix would be nice.

Anyway, the shield is still useful in plenty of situations (mostly the same situations as the spirit shield) but could definitely use some fixing.
Didnt pretend to attack you, but was fun that 2 days ago I read a post of another guardian who said that he completely forgot about shield as a weapon for guardian.
And yeah, ofc shield needs a little buff, but this wont happen at least until next patch. I just want them to fix it now. But sadly I dont think this is gonna happen. They never put hotfixes for bugs like that.

Yeah but that’s not intended, that’s just a bug they introduced by mistake. They just need to get it and fix it.
Please this is important, this bug was introduced in this patch for no reason, because now it’s not working as intended.
This is a fast fix, and you Anet put this bug by mistake, because you didn’t want to put that change as you didnt say anything about that. The bubble should last 4 sec if you cast the full time of it.
Now, even if you stand still the whole duration, the bubble will block projectiles for 2 sec, instead of 4 as it should be.
The bug fix that now you can’t interrupt/move while maintaining the bubble is a huge nerf. Now in addition the bubble last only while you stand still, when the cast ends (2 sec) the bubble won’t bloc projectiles anymore.
I’m not talking about the fact that you have to stand still now to get projectile block. I’m talking about the fact that even if you stand still, the block will last for 2 sec, not for 4. More nerfs to shield? No, sorry, not needed.
Please some dev help with this.

Now if you use #5 and then move it wont block projectiles anymore (it was possible before). So now you are FORCED to stand still for 3 sec to block projectiles.
We all were asking for a buff to shield. And now we got a nerf. NICE.
I got 100hp more with my guard for no reason (running cleric amulet)….
its not happening to necros only. Our whole team is having problems stomping/ressing people. Sometimes it takes like 2-3 sec to get the interaction. I guess its just happening to everyone. But still a huge bug. Hope they fix it soon. And soon means tomorrow.
It should of been built into the tome, not a trait. When I first saw it I was happy, then it said its attached to the elite focus trait where Absolute resolution is, so its unviable to use it at all.

Yeah, a lot of these changes would be too much.
I really like the one making Resolute Healer and Protective Reviver to be combined as they did with other traits in other classes.
It might be strong, but then just grant stab by default on tomes and then improve the trait a bit so it’s worth of a master trait.
Ex: reduce cd by 20% on tomes or reduce cd of tome skills + 50% longer duration (as it is).
Since Renewed focus is now a meditation this trait wont affect the usability of this elite. The only thing it does is increasing 1sec invulnerability. No one will take this trait for Renewed focus. So make it a stronger pick for tomes.

That’s the kind of thinking that makes traits that are actually needed to use a utility/elite or whatever be on adept so you dont have to invest 20-30 points to use it.
Btw tried it. You can’t heal people in downed state with tome of courage.
Since I think all of you would agree that Elite Focus will be necessary to use Tomes, I think it should be an Adept trait and not a Master trait, so we dont have to spend so many points to get it.
The fact that now you can use it with stab doesnt make it strong. It makes it better than before, but still weak imo. From a pvp POV, you can get interrupted pretty easy when you’re stand still casting (necros, thiefs, mesmers). It could be good if you can spam AA healing in AoE for the whole duration since cast time is short but what happens if you need to rezz/stomp? you need to drop it and then its 180sec cd. (ok you can rezz but cmon its 10times slower than rezzing as you would do without tome). The problem wasn’t stab, its the fact that you can’t rezz/stomp/use utilities and cast times are too high which makes:
1. People have 4s to interrupt you.
2. You dont have a fast reaction when your teammate is about to die. Most of the times your teammate wont have 4s to get the heal, he will die earlier more than probably, in case they dont focus on interrupting you.
In a game like that, you just can’t cast something for 4secs and without being able to move!
The changes are solid. Just because they don’t completely rock the meta doesn’t mean that they won’t give more options to guardians out there.
I dont want the tomes to be overpowered or mostly used by everyone. I just want them to be useful. And I dont think they will be useful even after patch. Patch will improve them. OFC. Patch will make it useful over Renewed Focus. I dont think so.
- Almost 3x cd when Renewed Focus traited.
- Renewed focus makes you survive a burst and recharge your virtues which are A LOT better to help allies in case they’re about to die. Instant, 1200 range.
CB + Dark path (traited) = 7 boons corrupted.
Thief can steal.
Mesmer can remove 4-5 boons easily and almost instantly.
4 and 1/4s standing still is just too much. You can LoS yes, but it has too long cooldown for such a long cast times.
Not to say that you are probably forcing someone else to stay on point while you go out of it and cast for 4 and 1/4s (if you manage to not get corrupted) and you can’t even stomp rezz. So lets say you use it, 5-10 sec later someone dies and you need to stomp, or at least stop it to give stab. 180sec cooldown for only 5-10 sec use.
I think you’d agree that if someone of your team dies while casting #5 then you have to stop it and rezz or then you’ll be outnumbered (but full health:)).
I like the fact that you dont have to run a specific trait to play spirit weapons, but I think more AI is what we don’t need in this game. In addition, they are pretty bad as utilities for a support guardian. Not even close to shouts or even consecrations. Not to say they just die to AoE.
Change to Renewed Focus is good, for both dps and bunker guard (specially dps).
Changes to Tomes are good but not enough. I want to explain that.
Gaining stability is really good when traited (+10 more seconds active), but the problem with tomes (in pvp) are basically 4:
- You can’t stomp/rezz.
- Too long cast time for #4 and #5. 4 and 1/4s in pvp is just not viable. And you can’t move.
- Too long cooldown.
- You can’t use utilities/virtues/heal.
Suggestions to tome changes:
- Decrease cooldown to 120.
- Decrease cast time (and make it moveable?) for #4 and #5 to (let’s say) 2s and 3s.
- Make it so at least you can stomp/rezz (like the change to DS for necros which is really good btw).
- Reduce overall power for tomes: #1 and #2 same. #3 6-7 sec prot and regen instead of 10s. #4 2s daze down from 3s. #5 10k heal.
Why this changes? Now you have stability but they can still corrupt you, so if you use this 180s cooldown elite and they manage to corrupt you its gonna be really tough for you since you wont have elite for 3 minutes. Moreover they’ll never let you use #5 due to long cast time and animation, since you can’t move its really easy to know when you’re casting it and you can just be cc’ed to death while standing still for 4 and 1/4s. So lower cooldown and power of this elite so you can use it more often (and actually you can use all skills in pvp by lowering cast times) but its not that powerful that fully heals everyone.
Finally, I missed some changes to Sanctuary. With this 120s cooldown, it looks like an elite, but it’s not worth at all. Smaller radius than AA, so melee can AA you from outside bubble (they can stomp/rezz as well). Only block projectiles (not ranged attacks). You still get hit by AoE damage.
Suggestions to Sanctuary:
- Decrease cooldown to 90s.
- Increase radius from 120 to 180.
- Make it so people inside get boons (let’s say prot and/or regen and/or aegis) instead of direct healing.

No please, probably best condition in game in AA + clones? A big NO. Passive, no skill at all.

Lol please. Scepter AA applying torment is a bad idea.
From a pvp point of view:
No skill, passive playstyle, stupidly broken in 1v1. Mesmer could win 1v1 every single warrior before this buff (as a condi mesmer). Now it’ll be stupidly broken since people will need to dodge AA if they dont want to die. You dont even need to shatter (except distortion). You just need to spam 3 clones and the pressure from AA will be too much for every class.
Dont let this happen. This is a really BAD idea.
Scepter AA needs some love, but adding torment is a really bad idea.
As the title says, adding torment to scepter AA on mesmer is a really BAD idea.
Since torment is one of the strongest conditions in the game (if not the strongest one), adding it to an AA that also clones can apply is just broken. Not only because it will be stupidly strong 1v1 (it already was before this buff) but because its completely passive and unskilled. You don’t need to do anything else actually and enemies will have to dodge even AA. You dont even need to shatter actually (except distortion).
It’ll make condi mesmer stupidly broken and easy to play, that everyone will just reroll mesmer and will beat anything 1v1 in a matter of days.
Scepter AA needs some love ofc, but not torment please.

Dont think they’ll do this, but triple its size is too much. Double its size would be good though. Then they need to change something else as well. But yeah, wrote a post about the need of changing sanctuary as well. Hope they do something about it.

As Blackjack (aka Zapdos) says, I dont think its important who’ll win this tournament, its more about making people active, about seeing new teams. We already have at least 3 high level teams such as TM, CM, 55HP and I know there are more out there, you just need to watch ESL. More teams = more competition. And more competition = better teams, which makes the game not to be dominated by only one team, which is what we should want. Therefore, this tournament is not about who’ll be the best team, its about how many good teams this tournament is going to draw.
I think that even the players on these teams (TM, CM, 55HP) would agree that they want more competition, so more teams. I just hope these tournaments and upcoming changes help to see more teams trying to play on a high level.
