I got the medium female Norn set, love the look. But won’t be getting the medium female Sylvari.

I’ll group, but it’s mostly for social reasons. Any mmo I’ve never been big on grouping to level, I’m just not patient enough to wait on other people lol.

Other night I grouped with guildies to help one out, and they all ended up standing around. So I went and did my thing, I can talk just as well with you in another zone AND quest.

Named my Murellow Prince Charming. He’s ugly as sin, but is a great tank. Haven’t named other pets, since they names don’t stick and I don’t really use them.

imo. I made a necro first and loved it. But I got tired of pets dying to fast and/or not attacking. So I made Ranger (still wanted a pet class) and I love it! It’s fun having different pets who actually live and attack. Someday I’ll go back to my Necro when they fix the pets.

I’m not saying don’t be angry, but the people who quit the game are taking it to serious. I love the game, yes I noticed a difference…but I still enjoy the game and not going to let this affect me.

As far as non communication…does that surprise you? They RARELY post replies on forums, so you can’t take their non communication as a direct insult to Rangers or avoiding the problem. For all you know they could be working on it. Multiple rage quits won’t make them fix it any faster, they already have your money.

i’m guessing you are a really casual player with a low level Ranger. Check the Dev Forum, they do post, but if you look at what they are posting on it is really stupid things IMHO.

One just one update on a hot 30K view topic would be nice.

People who want to quit wouldn’t be on here. they would just have quit. We are players trying to get a fix or at least find out IF e should move to another class or leave the game.

Yes, I’m a casual player. What of it? I paid for the game just as you did. My Ranger is 31, so yes I’m low level. But I’ve been using SB since lvl 1, so it’s not a new skill to me.

As far as posting, I meant in replies to post, not the stickies. No, I don’t read every post, every day. But from what I’ve seen, they don’t reply to posts by users that often.

And there are lot of people who quit, and still post, it happens in EVERY mmo. People quit, other people ask for their stuff. This isn’t a paid subscription, so they can still post if they quit.

If people want to fix the game or get a time frame, there are other ways to go about it then raging, quitting and saying ANET is a bad company.

I tried Ele, loved it but was horrible at swapping elements on call. Went to Thief, loved it till 40ish, then it got too routine. Played a Necro, but got tired of pets not attacking/dying to fast. Now I have a Ranger (31) And love it. But we’ll see how long till that class gets routine.

All in all, it’s up to you. We can’t tell you what you’ll like because we don’t know you.

I love my Murellow, aoe poison, and can regenerate some health. And they’re ugly, which I think makes them unique because no one wants to run around with an ugly dog lol.

Nerf or not, I love my Ranger. If you rage quit over this, you’re taking the game way to serious.

If this won’t be fixed, I’d at least like the option to not show their name.

Does improving your condition damage also affect your pets?

When my Sylvari looks around, she gets a crazy wide eyed look. It’s kinda annoying, but it’s brief so I live with it. She also runs like she got a big ol’ booty lol.

Wanted to try ranger, already had 2 Norns (love the tattoos) and 1 Asura. I couldn’t find an Asura hairstyle I felt fit a ranger, no way was I being a Charr and (imo) all female Human faces look like little girls no matter what adjustments I do.

Loving my Asura Necro. All weapons will look tiny, but watching her flip, spin and jump when using auto attack is cute. And having minions 4x your size.

I love thief for exploring, signet of shadows 25% movement speed increase.

ps. necro is still fun to explore with.

I kept getting kicked out/lag a few days ago. Rebooting my modem and router fixed it. Worth a shot.

I had the black screen issue before (prior to GW2) , and had to roll back my Nvidia drivers. Fixed the issue.

Lavexis – what kind of delay are you getting? Is it the black screen, does it seem like lag? I kept getting d/c a few days ago, like every 10-30 minutes. Rebooting my modem and router fixed this.

They are violent. When I had the option to get revenge or rescue a krewe, I picked rescue. I was then told not let this weakness be known.

It’s happened to me, but just that once. Do you log in on different computers?

If you’ve updated the drivers and cleaned the whole computer, maybe they’re just going bad. Do they freeze outside the game?

Sunday I was d/c every 10-30 minutes. When I logged in last night it started again. I decided to reboot my modem and router, was able to play all night without a d/c.

Thought I’d share this possible fix for those having issues.

When you updated the drivers, did you do a clean install?

While I love the game, I agree it should of been beta’d more. Last night I kept getting d/c like every 20 minutes (internet worked fine). I’ve had two bsod this week when I click “play” on launcher. Though it’s not enough to make me regret buying the game, I’ve had more game play then bug issues.

I just hope it becomes more stable.

I have the same issue, going in there instantly drops my fps by half. Outside it’s normal.

Do you have your helmet visual turned off?

Fraps is free if you do 30s videos, if you want longer you have to pay.

I agree! Made an Asura last night and trying to jump on floating rocks to get vistas was hard, camera kept clipping.

Twice this week I woke my computer from sleep mode, everything is gravy until I launch GW2. After I log in, before pressing play, I BSOD. Both are Event ID 41.

Drivers updated. Ideas please?

I prefer not to play humans in a game, I see them everyday! I stick with Norn, I love having tattoos and the hair choices. All female human faces look like a little girl, no matter how much I change (imo).

As far as missing out, I think really it’s only the personal story. You can go to each city and do all the quests to experience the race.

Looking through the trait skills, do they stack? i.e Thrill of the Crime (gain might when stealing) and Venomous Strength (gain might when applying venom). Would the might stack?

I love D/P, but forget to use my poisons alot. P/P is tons of fun (I feel like I’m in a western) but the damage seems lower. If I time it right with D/P I can keep a mob blinded/dazed the entire fight and not take damage.

I have a Norn Thief, Aelni Kelioa, and Norn Ele, Pelia Kelioa. I’m Hawaiian so wanted something to sound Hawaiian, so I used the alphabet. Pelia I got the idea from Pele.

I actually bought a dictionary of Gods and Goddess a few years back, specifically for MMO names. It really comes in handy.

Good question. I had one in my inventory the other night, when I logged in last night it was gone.

If you have 1 set as your auto- attack and use assassians signet, does the auto attack count towards the next hit, or a skill you physically activate?

Didn’t realize the caltrops bleed stacked, I’ll be using those more often.

I run D/P with signet of shadows, signet of agility and spider venom.

Haven’t seen it yet, would like the option though.

Last week my computer froze completely. I updated my gpu and soundcard thinking that was the issue. Now when I log in everything looks fine but the trading post. The words/numbers look like someone took scissors to them. It’s very hard to read.

Any ideas?

I noticed this around the time I started my lvl 30 personal story quests. I’ve had voices cut out, or the wrong voice on the wrong person.

I went D/P and love it. So many dazes and blinds, and signet of shadow (another blind!). If timed right you can take down a mob w/o taking any damage.

Works for me so far.

Looking for social, adult, pve oriented guild. Currently have a 24 Theif and 21 Ele.

I have a guild with RL friends, but we’re not always on at the same time. Looking for another guild to have fun with.
