Yes, but it seems like you’re dodging around the statement that you do enjoy PvP by saying that you just enjoy WvW in general. PvP is the biggest part of what makes WvW what it is, if we were just fighting mobs that wouldn’t be any fun. Now what i’m saying is, if you are with 1 or 2 friends and i were to walk into you guys trying to fight, would you run to your camp or tower for support? or fight the fair fight? I’m already outnumbered so why do you have to retreat to a camp to fight? These are the people i’m talking about.
A couple things.
First, what makes something fun for you is not always what makes something fun for someone else. Maybe just realize that and leave it be instead of trying to berate people for not having your “superior” form of fun.
Second, there are actually lots of good reasons to “hug towers” (or camps). If that tower has no one in and you are responsible for keeping it from being taken, you want to be in that tower as much as possible. If someone is running supply to said tower, stopping to 1v1 and losing might cause the loss of the tower. Similarly, if you are in the tower and go out to 1v1, you might cause the loss of the tower.
I spend much more time than I would really like on defense and I can’t tell you how many times I have seen someone go out to duel someone 1v1 and then two thieves un-stealth and gank the person.
Also, I have on many occasions seen 1-3 players trying to encourage the defenders to come out and open field fight and then once the defenders are too far from the door to get back inside, a zerg of 10-15 comes from the other direction and takes the tower.
You personally might not engage in such tactics, but they do happen frrequently, and EBay is more fond of them than any other server I have faced.

some ppl found walking around the sky with orbs “fun”. Some ppl found sitting under the floor of keeps killing siege “fun”. Are you telling me you understand that they were just having “fun”? Sitting in an enemy spawn is just as bad as those 2 things I just mentioned, but if you view it as “fun” then its ok. I remember BP use to cry when they saw enemies in our spawn. But if our server doesn’t mind doing it to others don’t complain when it’s done back and they knw when golems are coming
Well, I would have to say that using an outside program to change the physics of the game doesn’t compare to glitching into a hole in a map in the spawn area. I know actual hacking violates the TOS, I am not sure if Anet has a “don’t go where we don’t want you to go” clause in the TOS or not. (It would be an interest clause if it does exist considering how much of this game is based around trying to get to really difficult places for fun, prizes and advantage.)
I get your point about not wanting people to spy. These guys have said they weren’t and personally I believe them, but it is a good idea not to do anything that could be used as a exploit, even if one isn’t exploiting.
The interesting thing about all this is that the result of bringing up the fact that someone could spy on people’s golems by doing this is probably :
The number of people newly informed that you could spy on golems by doing this is exponentially greater than the number of current golem spies deterred.
I would bet 95% of the population, even if they knew how to get in, wouldn’t have thought of it. We tend to attribute to our adversaries a level of planning, sophistication and ill-intent that is rarely warranted and ends up with people having massive overreactions, example: the Cold War.

Banning for this fits “overly worked up” IMO. Not a lot of laughter and light-hearted feelings coming across there. It’s not as needlessly overly worked up as say banning Sharia law in Oklahoma, but still pretty needlessly overly worked up.
Why am I not surprised when players from Borlis Pass are so quick to defend exploits? Must be your love of zoom-hacked Arrow Carts, among other hacks…
That is akin to saying “You’ve admitted you don’t care about jaywalking, you must also condone murder.” Take a deep breath and relax, the biggest injury was your being delayed in crafting a few minutes.
Not at all similar, in fact I doubt there’s any server you’ve been matched against that doesn’t know of your use of zoom-hacks to kill trebs and other siege in their keeps. It might be similar, if there weren’t countless accounts of players on your server both “jaywalking”(aka-exploiting) and committing “murder”(zoom-hacking). You’re all so defensive, I guess the truth hurts.
Naw, not at all. It strikes me as a funny glitch that someone looked into on a lark and not a serious attempt to affect the outcome of any particular battle or the match. Thus the difference between jaywalking and murder. I am not defensive at all. I am trying to express the feeling to you that perhaps you are getting overly worked up over nothing and should relax.
Edit: BTW, “countless”, really? Come on. Name one person from BP that has been banned? Most complaints (not just against BP btw) regarding zoom hacking result from a lack of understanding of AC placement. Not saying it doesn’t happen, but 100 people crying foul isn’t 100 people actually doing something wrong.

Zerglings are bad though. Aside from small group/solo roaming to flip camps, I’ve been having fun baiting the people out of zergs to see who overextends looking for an easy kill.
There’s nothing wrong with picking off yaks, camp flipping or even zerg baiting. The trouble is judging the opponents skill when doing so.
Quite often people who tout small/solo roaming as the true way to judge skill are running builds set up for small fights and working with a group that has been formed for small fights and has spent a good amount of time working together. But, the people they end up against are usually the exact opposite.
The guys people pick off from the zerg tend not to be the best players. After all, anyone running with a large group should be stacked on the commander unless specifically breaking off to perform a special function or tactical move.

In response to his question, I was simply informing KStudios that, particularly in the case of Aeros, so much of the hate Ehmry Bay once received from BP is now directed at [BURN] ever since your server’s chance of facing Maguuma went from near-impossible to unlikely-but-very-possible.
Aeros does foster some ill will to [BURN], but most of the server doesn’t really care one way or the other. You folks were an asset to the server no doubt, but your folks were obviously burnt out/unhappy near the end so leaving was probably a good thing for everyone. And rightly or wrongly, at the end [BURN] got associated with some of the larger drama queens on BP and we don’t miss their exit at all.
Props to BP guilds (BS, Zero etc) for still fighting even though we probably outman you at least 3 to 1. Hope we fed you lots of bags for the effort you guys put in
We know how its like to be outcoveraged and starting with nothing but paper stuff… it’s not fun and it’s not fair but this is coverage wars 2 and unfortunately it is what it is.
Thanks for the kind words fishball. We know we don’t have anywhere near the coverage to compete with servers in tier 2-3 range (technically we aren’t even tier 4 yet, but I think we could be competitive in tier 4.). From what I have seen we are taking it in stride and trying to have fun and figure out the best way to compete despite knowing we will have paper everywhere each day. One side effect is that the people who usually spend all/most of their time defending are getting a chance to jump on the karma train for a change. CHOO CHOO!
The fights have been fun so far. I look forward to more as the week progresses.
