Over 250 years ago, a human beat up a bunch of norn in a norn fighting arena with a pair of brass knuckles and this human did so outnumbered so I’d say a human has a good chance against a norn.

One Norn can also defeat an entire Charr warband. The humans lost their land from those same Charr. I think your logic is funny.

Humans didn’t lose their land from one warband. Ascalon was seared by Bonfaaz Burntfur with the aid of Abaddon, a human god. Ascalon was defeated after 20 years of fighting which, if you played Guild Wars 1, both sides suffered heavy losses from both of their homelands. Abaddon tricked Khilbron into destroying Orr. Kryta successfully defended themselves against the Charr invasion with the help of the mursaat and Saul D’Alessio’s gang. The bonus mission pack lets players see how exactly Saul defeated the invading Charr. Basically, waves and waves of Charr were wiped out by 8 human rookies and 3 mursaat. If anything, Abaddon was the sole being responsible for the near destruction of human civilization in Tyria, Cantha (Shiro), and Elona (the nightfall). Without Abaddon’s aid, the Charr would still be behind that great wall in Ascalon.

I really doubt the Charr could defeat the humans even now. The Charr assaulted Ebonhawk for over 200 years without any success before the truce treaty was signed into effect.

Also, just becomes someone claims they are a god, or are worshiped as a god, doesn’t actually make them a god. Plenty of real humans (e.g. Roman Emperors) have claimed to be gods over the course of human history.

If it looks like a god, smells like a god, and ignores your prayers like a god, you don’t have to actually see the god to know it’s a god.

GW2 Conspiracy?

Doctor.1905

He is. It’s obviously a plot.

Pay the repair workers minimum wage, adventurers keep all that cash, they use all that cash on trading post trades, getting him even more money (net profit=up) from the sales tax!

It’s one massive plot to gain money and put those repair workers starving.

No it’s even bigger than that. In fact, it’s bigger than you could possibly imagine. What if I told you that the gold we use in our currency is not in fact real gold? Would you believe me if I told you that our copper silver and gold are ALL mass produced by the Black Lion Trading Co? You better believe it baby. Take a look at your coins and you’ll find a small print that says, “Black Lion TC note.”

Our currency is not backed by any items of real value other than itself. It’s just mass produced at will and distributed throughout Tyria with little regard for matters such as inflation. Look at the cost of gems and legendary weapons compared to the prices of last year. Our worldwide currency is quickly losing its value.

The BLTC is privately owned and the company runs most of its exterior operations through privately hired merchants. The BLTC gains most of its power through loans and bonds. It gives out loans to various large organizations throughout Tyria. For example, the Iron Legion was modernized with the help of BLTC loans. Due to high interest rates, the Iron Legion pays approximately 15% of its public funding straight back into the BLTC’s pockets. To help balance out the costs of BLTC loans, Smodur the Unflinching continues to heavily invest into various BLTC bonds. All these bonds offer guaranteed interest returns and some bonds even allow the buyer to cash back the bonds at any given moment. Since BLTC can manufacture an infinite amount of currency, it doesn’t matter if bond holders profit greatly from interest. BLTC’s power stems from the supremacy of the coins. As long as coins are used by Tyrians to exchange goods, as long as Tyrians believe that this flat currency has any real value, BLTC will continue to control all of Tyria.

Just a short while ago, Scarlet challenged the supremacy of the coins. Scarlet embraced the idea of Pan-Dragonism, an ideology that encourages the cooperation between Elder Dragons and Tyrians. She gathered Tyrians and formed three alliance, molten, aetherblade, and toxic, to aid her purpose of Dragon-Tyrian unification. The BLTC sought interest in Scarlet’s large amounts of watchwork sprockets and so for a short while, Scarlet enjoyed good business with the BLTC. However, one day Scarlet rejected gold to sprocket transactions and instead offered to trade ectos-sprockets instead. The BLTC feared that the coin supremacy would be overhauled by an ectoplasm based economy. Although the BLTC already holds a very large sum of ectoplasms, they cannot manufacture ectoplasms at will. Ectos are always backed by Crystalline Dusts and are therefore more stable than the flat coin system. Fearing for their loss of economic supremacy, Evon Gnashblade orchestrated a string of false flag attacks on Tyria to demonize Scarlet. The Dragon Bash incident, Queen’s Jubilee, the Tower of Nightmares, and the destruction of Lion’s Arch was all manipulated by the Black Lion Trading Company. With the use of heavy propaganda and hired thugs (Marjory Delaqua, Kasmeer Meade, Braham Eirsson, Rox Pickheart, and many others) they managed to fool Tyria into believing that Scarlet was some evil lunatic bent on destroying Tyria. As her final act of rebellion, Scarlet awoke an elder dragon to continue on the battle against the coin supremacy after her assassination.

“Caithe, someday you’ll see. Tyria needs me.”

[Suggestions] Gemstore Items

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Doctor.1905

I want board games in the Gem store.

Whenever I do big bosses like Tequatl, triple wurms, and Marionette I constantly find myself standing around with 200ish people with nothing to do other than maybe look for events around the map. I can’t leave the map to go do something else because if I do that I won’t be able to enter the map by the time the boss arrives because the map is filled by that time.

Players in these big zerg events tend to do various things to kill their time. Some players spend their time on teamspeak talking about completely irrelevant things. Most other players simply afk until the event begins. Costume brawl is sometimes played to kill time with other players as well.

I just think it would be nice to be able to play simple board games, like chess, with other Guild Wars 2 players. Some games that could be added to the game would be chess, checkers, blackjack, poker, gomoku, go, and crazy eights. The gemstore could offer these games for something like 400-1000 gems. To make these games more desirable, the games could be accessed from the hero panel so that players don’t have to waste inventory slots on these games.

Warrior true weakness

A warrior’s main weakness is having two players fight the warrior over a capture point. The warrior will then have to use more than a minute of their time to kill both players.

Super jump should not be implemented. Spectral walk can already survive all fall damage as it is, no need for it to be used for stuff like void jumping and general jump puzzle cheating.

I say necros should either get methods to prevent mobile professions (such as the warrior and thief) from escaping OR give necros mobility skills. Also, necros should get at least a 40 second recharge stun breaker that doesn’t ground target. Just these buffs will do enough to put necros in the wvw roaming and structured pvp playing field.

Constant Nerfing of Mesmers

I have a mesmer as a main and mesmers are completely fine. Necros and thieves have it a LOT worse in terms of nerfs.

soooo how Thief's nowdays ?

Doctor.1905

The only problem I have with the thief is their lack of 1200 ranged weapons. I don’t understand why freaking warriors, with their highest base health and armor, are allowed to have a 1500 ranged killshot but thieves aren’t allowed 1200 range on anything other than stealing. It really hinders their zerg play. In small scale situations, thieves are pretty awesome imo due to their mobility and ability to disengage.

Anet please give thieves the rifle. Real world thieves use rifles to assault gas stations. Why can’t Guild Wars 2 thieves have rifles?

Observation: potential skill lock solution

in Bugs: Game, Forum, Website

Posted by: Doctor.1905

Doctor.1905

It doesn’t just happen to Guardians. It happens to my lvl 80 necro, lvl 80 thief, and lvl 80 mesmer a lot as well. The skill lock happens when you try to pick up an object in a zerg while others also try to pick up the same object. The most common things that causes this are elementalist weapons (Ice bow, Fiery Greatsword, Lightning Hammer, etc). Multiple players try to pick up the object and it causes a skill lock.
