This isn’t a bug. On the male model, the medium armor does not show the shoulders – I suspect that it’s due to the fire shoulder harness that “counts” as a shoulder slot from a visibility perspective. If you read the tooltip on your shoulders, you’ll see very clearly that it says “This item is currently obscured by another.” You’d have some wierd issues with the shoulder strap conflicting with the shoulders. Personally my preference would be for the male armor to have the same chest/shoulder layout as the female one – I personally think that it looks better, but that’s just my $0.02!
I have this set on my female human ranger and the shoulders do not show at all. Even with the Hero menu up I can check/uncheck the shoulder box and nothing changes on my character.
I wish someone from AreneNet would give some insight.
exotic gear at lvl 80 is not much better than rare gear at lvl 80.
but you will still have better stats wearing blue 80’s vs wearing exotic 50’s while scaled down.
for 1: people hate snitches like you, the dungeon was made incredibly hard no wonder why people are exploiting it.
for 2: developers play with pugs and for sure they’ve seen this already, there’s no need to call yourself out. not really sure why you would want to ruin other people’s fun anyways.

2. What? I’m not entirely sure why developers would WANT to play with pugs as these dungeons are balanced for cooperative, communitative, stragicly advanced groups. So one would think, you know, …logically…, that would be what they are testing/playing with.
1: I have never done a cof run where someone didn’t want to jump the wall, i have never had someone tell the group, “guys this is the wrong thing to do, we should not be doing this, i’m filling out a bug report now cya guys whisper me if you want to do it the right way!”, like all of you above are claiming.
2: If you read the developers post on why he changed the dungeon in the first place, you would see that he clearly stated he himself played with groups who exploited the dungeon and that’s why he wanted to change it.
@Drakken I think Fox was in the right here. I for one hate people who exploit. I have reported exploits myself. The Magg fight has been made imposible thanks to people who were exploiting it. I’m an honest player that is being punished for the few, it’s frustrating.
Not sure why you, or anet, think kiting a group of 15 mobs for 100 seconds was “exploitable” when it is clearly impossible to kill every single one, and it was made even harder because they added more mobs and increased the timer. The guys that are ranged and shoot lava at you 2-shot all the light/medium armor characters, so graveyard zerging is the only chance you have at succeeding. Of course if you have a bad group, this could take up to 10+ tries before you give up and say, “Hey let’s jump the wall, and collect 25 tokens this run AND save time while we’re at it”.

The other solution is making rangers and pets immune from each taking damage from the same source (i.e. each taking damage from a single greatsword swing).
This is a great idea, I wish they made pets more useful all together though. When you are pvping the pet should be a threat to an enemy, right now people just ignore the pet and go straight to killing you making it useless.
More teams would want rangers on their team if players “feared” the insane damage or survivability that pets have.
I have this set and thought it looked normal until i seen this, now that I unequipped/reequipped the shoudlers nothing appears, please fix anet
Lol if they ban all the people currently exploiting CoF I don’t think there will be anyone left playing the game.
When 99% of players feel the need to exploit something because they see no other reasonable way to complete it then I don’t think the problem is with the players.

The timer is NOT the issue, it’s the massive amount of mobs that spawn around 60%. IIRC there’s at least 15 and most will 1-shot low hp chars.

The doorblast room is easy, may be considered exploitable by the way people have been doing it all day. I’m not going to give the secret away until I get a full set of armor though. Join pub games, and get your farming in

Magg path, and yes it’s a substantial difference than just getting 2silver, I’m doing it for the tokens anyways.
All day today I’ve gotten 2silver and 17k exp, last 3 runs I’ve gotten 6silver and 44k exp, at least it’s a little profit now.
^ Just like Blizzard, telling their players how to play.
They are just mad people like Kripparian quit their game because they farmed exotics in a few weeks from launch and got extremely bored after the grind.
Farming Diablo 3 (based on rewards vs time invested) = 1/10
Farming Post-patched Dungeons (based on rewards vs time invested) = Worse than Diablo 3
I was fine with farming CoF 69 times for 1380 tokens getting 25 silver and about 200k experience each run.
I am not fine with getting 2 kittenin’ silver and 17k exp after completing a buffed CoF.
Arenanet does not care what a bunch of their players think about how unrewarding doing a dungeon is. People have been crying on this forum for hours today and 2 threads have responses from the developers themselves. I do have to agree though, grinding dungeons in this game post-patch is less rewarding than farming Diablo 3.
Way to go Anet.
