I build custom Desktops as a hobby and the fact you title yourself PC enthusiast and over clocker while using a Alien-ware is degrading on the other hand decent list of helpful stuff but would be better with links and post to how-to’s and wider range of subjects other then clean PC, cool PC, and less programs…

Running 3rd party software like Gamebooster is simple for the people without major PC experience and shutdowns all auto update features rather easily without getting into MSconfig. Google is always a good friend for performance related topics and walk though and major forums have plenty of guides.

It is not necessary to trash Dell/Alienware. Everyone is welcome to their own opinions. The fact is that most high end pcs have essentially the same components in them. The primary difference is configuration. I have had zero issues with my alienware factory overclock. Alienwares active thermal cooling is great for making games like GW2 run faster and more stable.

I really doubt that Alienware’s motherboard would use similar VRMs on them. These, among other things, impact your ability to keep your overclocked system stable.

So the file gw2.dat found in the game’s root folder is the only thing you need to back up then?

I plan to reinstall Windows some time soon. However, I don’t really want to waste my time patching through all the updates again. Does this game has an option to back up the game’s folder into one compressed file? Steam has this function by the way, for those who wonder what I am talking about – you can pack up your games into a single folder, with all the changes applied to them included, and back it up somewhere.

I don’t recall any research around the internet that points out that MF gears affects MF outcome at all (lol no pun intended). Debatable about salvaging though.

So, the cooldown for the anti-farm code is every 12 hours? And after how long have you been farming a specific mob? One hour? One and a half?

Well, it’s not like you could do a margin trading here anyway (unless you borrow your guildies’ money and promise them you will return their money plus some interests).

The second screenshot to show that I’m still standing at the same spot, did not moving an inch, and my money is not there!

Someone recently bought my abyss dye I put up in TP, along with my major rune of the lich. However, in the pick-up tab, the only money waiting to be collected is just from the rune, and the dye’s money is nowhere to be seen. Am I the only person experiencing this? (By the way, I looked at the timestamp. The most recent item I’ve sold before the dye was my mini, and it was about 17 hours ago. The rune and the dye were sold only a few minutes apart.)

Seriously, if the TP is this f***ed up at simply handling money, I’m just going to quit playing this game.

I guess they’ll add in the announcement soon enough.
