Isn’t that old processor bottlenecking the 970? Could be the issue.
My system doesn’t have a problem utilizing the GPU. Even though I have a i7 960 and a 980. On average my GPU usage is around 50-80% (give or take) with some spikes. The last time I check my CPU on a single core it hits 90% and doesn’t go over. If I put a slight OC on the CPU a single core performs a little better (of course it will).
Me and the OP are in the same boat.
Also the game looks incredible at 4k. I even run in “8k” dynamic super resolution, but it’s a slideshow and only done for screenshots.

I have the i7 960 @ 3.2GHz with a EVGA GTX 980 SC. I have 16 gigs of ram and GW2 is on my Adata SSD. My performance in Lions Arch is around 18-22 FPS. On average in other areas I get about 55 FPS (give or take). I know for a fact I have to set my graphics to the lowest setting when fighting some World Bosses so my game doesn’t crash (the FPS is 5-10). I might have a bottle neck somewhere but really that doesn’t bother me. For those wondering what platform I’m running it’s the X58. This is only for GW2 and not other games I play.
Well it does make since but I can see how 1k gems is a lot when gems never go on sale. With that said I was going to get the wedding attire no matter HOW MUCH it was. Until I saw it on my Charr characters and I was like …………….. it is SO UGLY. The only race I like/play is the Charr. It looks awesome on the Human and Asura (not sure about the others) but I don’t like the other races in GW2. Just a little disappointed but no matter ArenaNet will still get my money for other things.

Well after looking through this thread again I saw a picture posted by Just a flesh wound with all the races in the Wedding Attire and I take back what I said about the Charr Wedding Attire. Now it looks like a Roman type theme of dress.

Well there is that Monk outfit in the gem store now. It’s just like the outfit from the first Guild Wars for the Monk class.
Just to give a little more detail. I have five Charr characters one of which is female and I one Asura.
Total Characters: 6
- Mesmer 0 – 0
- Guardian 1 – 52 •Charr Male
- Necromancer 1 – 13 •Charr Female
- Ranger 1 – 80 •Charr Male
- Elementalist 1 – 15 •Asura Male
- Warrior 1 – 2 •Charr Male
- Thief 0 – 0
- Engineer 1 – 9 •Charr Male
P.S. I don’t like playing female characters. Thinking about getting rid of my female Charr. Two reasons why is SAO and Log Horizon. I started playing this game in 2012 before I even heard or saw SAO and Log Horizon.

As the title says. I’m currently taking an intro software design class at my local college (the course is called ITP 100 if any of wanted to know). The teacher for the class covered Application Programmers Interface. Of course I saw this API key thing on the GW2 (under my account). Not really sure how the key works and what tool or application I can use?

Tickets for getting any past weapon skins that are NOT available through the BL weapon specialist. The catch make them VERY RARE to get and also make the weapon skins account bound so you can’t sell them on the TP.

To me it just seems your internet connection went down for a second or two. Plus sometimes when your internet connection goes down it wont load the page….. until you restart your browser. Also I have had weird things happen with my web browser. So really there’s nothing to worry about. You can also run your anti-virus software, if you have one; just to have a peace of mind.
That seems pretty cool. I would like to attend the in game wedding.
They brought them back a long time ago, so I’m sure they’ll do it again when they feel like doing so or possibly in conjunction with a festival of sorts.
Although not a massive fan of the Dragon’s Jade skins I do hope they make a comeback so I can finish the collection without having to waste tonnes of gold.. That and the other skins that got taken away ages ago.
I’m in the same boat as you when it comes to the gold, plus I don’t have that type of gold any way. Today I was looking at the skins again and saw a few that I would like to get; like the shield, pistol, and staff. Plus I already have the great sword and longbow.
Everything in this game revolves around RNG and profit for anet
So there is a small probability they will return (probably not ever again) because those skins don’t generate revenue as much as some of the other sets do
Your probably right about they didn’t sell that well when they were up.

Like the title says. But I was wondering if this skin set will make it back into Guild Wars 2? Plus I know you can buy the skins on the trading post (100g+).

I’m new to forums on this game and new to the game. But other than that I was in Black Citadel when I encountered massive lag south of Mustering Ground close to the wall and other spots as well. So I was wondering if anyone else has encountered lag while playing Charr or other races in the Black Citadel. Plus I submitted a support ticket. Sorry if I put this in the wrong section of the forums and etc.
