Yeah, because doing over 500 fractals and getting twice the same not-usable weapon for my proffesion is such a perfect reward system yaay!
What’s bad with ticket system? You get it as a drop as rarily as fractal weapon but you choose what you want. Sure I like OP idea better but still ticket > random weapon type drop. You could do countless fractals and still not get what you want. And next time constructive criticism please…
I never say that the actual systems is good. The actual system is horrible. But you solution isn´t good. You say “the same that actual fused weapons”. This ticket drops from BL Chest with a high low chance. You think that is a good system?
A ticket system would be better than the current, yes, since running 40+ generally has better skin drop rates.
But it still relies a bit on RNG, and does nothing to provide possible retroactive consideration to those who have already run for a long time. There are lots of shards and relics I have stockpiled. Same goes for many of the other runners of FotM.
Besides a higher drop chance at higher levels, it does not much else for rewarding the more skilled players better than those doing lower levels.
Still, it would not be a terrible system, and would probably be a welcome change.
I accept any solution except for one that included ectos, T6 mats, lodestones or more RNG.
Lodestones and RNG no, but I’m fine with T6 mats and ectos. I personally used ectos because it is a mainstay crafting componet, able to be obtained anywhere where a rare drops. Just playing the game should let you stockpile a few.
As long as the cost is not something obscene like 250. Ten ectos sound reasonable after you have already proved you can run a dungeon either many times or a few times at a very difficult level. Up to 50 is still not bad.
Ticket system is better than the actual just because the actual system is extremely bad. But still is a bad system (you can see the post about fused weapons, where many ppl complain about the horrible RNG of the chest, some ppl open over 200 chest and dont get anything) I´m sorry but i dont want another waste of money system.
You recipe is a great option. But ectos is a currency extremely used right now (500 for legen, 500 for backpack, 50 for accesory, 250 for crafted weapons in MF, etc) I think is better if we can used another crafting mat (maybe jewels, vile essences, vials, globs or shards, ori, wood, leather and many other uselles mats)

Anet, you could also implement ticket system for fractal weapons (the same that new Fused Weapons use)
Because now to get a specific fractal weapon is basically impossible, unless you are EXTREMELY lucky…which shouldn’t be a factor that decides fractal weapon drop.

More difficult + same crap loot = dungeon die.
1 – Agree.
2 – No. If you want another daily reward lvl up another toon.
3 – Agree.

5 – Agree. (still cant belive this)

7a – Dredge frac is long but have nice rewards. I like this frac.
7b – Agree (no influence).
8 – Many bad mechanics (big jelly fish, mossman, svanir chaman).
9 – Worst loot than dragon chest.
10 – high lvls (38+) have the same loot than low lvls or worst.
The most annoing is fight with a large pack of mobs with high health polls, high DPS and 0 combat mechanics just to obtain 2 grey item and 1 blue.
PPl only fight trash for 2 reasons: 1) necessary to progress in dungeon (like dredge in frac) 2) loot. If mobs are a waste of time ppl just run.
Opened 43 chest and got my token. Also got charr backpiece an pink quaggan. Ihope they keep these fused tokens in the chest. Something this good should be hard to obtain and give the player a sense of joy and relief when they finally get one.
I don’t consider these “hard” to obtain. They require either luck or lots and lots of money. Hard is a long, difficult quest chain with a reward at the end.
1 or 1000, does not matter. When RNG is involved all trys have the same difficult. It is equally difficult in each try. In this case extremely hard.
Guys, you need to stop participating in this kind of system. In Hodgins words " is just stupid and wont work".
Maybe if players stop buying key ANET wake up and place skins to buy directly from TP.
And 8 months later account medal for sunrise/twilight bug still not resolved.

Another bugs:
- When arpies shoots with bubble and you fall and die inmediatly (die, no downed).
- Sometimies mobs in Ascalon dont move and recovers health like ooc.
- Ascalon NPC no respawn correctly if team wipe.
- Cultist no reset correctly in the last seal if teams wipe.
- Cultist still run after die.
- In svanir chaman fight you keep trap on ice if you enter in combat after your team start the fight.
Mechanics problems
- Moosman: extemely high health pool. Steatlh each 5 seconds and no appears until reach the objective. Long and boring fight.
- Big jelly fish: extremely easy and boring. High health pool and too many small jelly fish whitout no purpose, just block your line of shoot.
- Second gruop of krait have a insane damage and are too many in high lvls.
- Ascalon: mages are extremly OP. 1 Hit (without any visible animation) and die in lvl40+.
- Chaman svanir: high health pool, another boring fight.
- First fight in cliffside frac is innecesary. Just a lost of time.
And new ring without recipe to infuse, hilarious.
Excellent ideas, except for ectos. Please ANET, no more ectos for recipes, use another uselles crafting mats, like vile esscence, for new recipes.
And please fix drop from fotm. I have over 150 runs in lvl36+ and only 4 weapon skin, 2 axes, dagger and rifle…… oh, im guardian.
Why don’t you consider the fun from running fractals. You all say that the rewards are bad, and rewards are bad and on top of that the rewards are even worse… It’s a game so have fun. And if you want the virtual cash do dragons or cof p1 farms. Also rares are not the only thing you get from fractals, did you consider the cost of mats.
I have 400+ fractals runs. First 100 are for fun, now i just run for loot.
Fractals are easy and fast and can be farmed all day and night. They also give above average drops.
World events can be done once a day per character, and chance of getting anything more than a rare or two is very, very low.
Maybe before lvl30 (with a coordinated group). Lvl 30+ are hard and take 1hs+ to complete (if you’re lucky and you get swap, water and ascalon). How long does it take to do Jormag? 20 min?
Easy solution, give a buffed reward one a day, like Dragons.
Actually, when Anet said they were adding new ways to get ascended gear, I kind of expected them to add new ways to get the existing gear (rings and backpieces). Not to add new nearly exclusive ways to get the next part.
Put all ascended trinkets in the fractals, put them all in the dungeons, and in WvW, and in craft, and in the laurel vendor. And now in the guild commendation vendor too.
This. Is really simple.
Unless you take years to do that there’s no chance that will happen.

Lazy is not a good term to use here. Lazy means to be disinclined to activity or exertion. Just because someone doesn’t do dailies doesn’t make them lazy. Also it’s a pejorative that you are using because you don’t have an argument.

I already stated it only takes 30-40 minutes every day to complete your dailies in order to get the item you want.
If you don’t even want to put that much time into the game yet you still want the item then you are lazy.

We DON´T want for easy content (ascended earings in this case) we want for NO GATED content.
Right now 2 earings (aside for guild missions) requieres 80 laurel (60 daily and 2 monthlys, if i play all days). Like you said dailys and mothlys are extremely easy (based on skill, no on time), so we need 2 months of very easy activities to get 2 ascended.
Why we can´t get this items for, just for example, 2000 dungeons tokens? o 2000 fractals relics? I hope you agree with me that way are much harder than dailys (again, based on skill no on time). Is simple, this kind of method isn´t gated. We just want for this.If you don’t see why your latter suggestion doesn’t work, you haven’t been around these forums long enough.

To this end, the Ascended accessories are available through a specific, content based method (Guild Missions), and also available through a generic, generalized method (laurels). This is indeed the simplest and fairest way to do it.
The second you try to expand it to fractals or dungeons or whatnot, you will see the same hilariously long trail of tears on this forum. Which brings me to this: To be honest, I agree with the previous statement that this is a problem with laziness, and beyond that, entitlement. Most (by which I just mean the denizens of this forum. Most of the game population is OK) seem to think that they deserve the equipment, but don’t really want to do what is necessary to acquire it.
1) I´m in the forums from the first day when the game is released and i see the qq.
2) My post is a part of the solution. I think laurles are a good way to obtain ascended earing. My problem is the lack of others ways to obtain it (aside Guild mission thats just a joke). Why we can´t obtain this through Fotm too?. The ascended ring are a good example, you can get one from drop, tokens or laurels. So, you have a way according to you playstyle.
ANET just listen hardore players. Players who consume the new content in days, so they need to inclued content that can not be consumed rapidly (in a wrong way, because guild mission are easy for hardcore players). And, at the end, the only prejudiced is the casual player.

I doubt it’s being ignored. There just hasn’t been a response yet. My guess is ArenaNet is surprised at the massively negative response (like they seemed to be with Ascended gear) and are trying to figure out how to respond.
I just hope that the answer does not come when all small guild already have all guild missions unlocked.

Big Guild: AoW at lvl4, 500K influence acumulated. February 26th, 00:00 patch launched. 15 min after start with bounty hunt.
Small Guild: AoW at lvl2, 5K influence acumulatd. February 26th, 00:00 patch launched. 15 days and 60g after start with bounty hunt.

I think the simple resolution for the current Guild Missions system is this:
- Large guilds should have an advantage, but not as much as they have now over small guilds.
No. Absolutely not. I don’t know what kind of thinking leads to people saying that any size guild should have an advantage over any other size guild. That isn’t a fair compromise at all… large guilds aren’t special… they aren’t more important… they aren’t anything other than a larger collective of normal players. And should be treated as such. The ONLY advantage a large guild should have is in meeting the playstyle needs of it’s members… I.E. Large scale group dynamics. Increased influence gain is also an advantage. Beyond that, they deserve absolutely nothing. People that don’t enjoy that wouldn’t see it as an advantage, and wouldn’t feel disadvantaged for not being in a large guild.
This isn’t WoW… and shouldn’t be made into WoW.
There has to be an advantage to having a larger guild – else what would be the point? They’ve made larger guilds more desireable and are making guilds themselves more desireable. It’s all a step in the right direction, but there really should be a reason to have a 30+ active player guild, vs a 3-5 active player guild.
They have a reason to exist… that reason is some players enjoy playing in large groups…. and they have an advantage… faster influence gain. They “DESERVE” absolutely nothing beyond that. They are not special… they are not more important… they are just a larger collective of normal gamers. End of story.
If the new content only can done with large groups (10+ ppl) the bigger guild are a clear advantaje.
Exactly six months after the release of the game I complete my Sunrise (02/25)
The only big problem with this patch is the horrible Guild Missions system.
Other small problems:
- New ascended gear can´t be obtained trough FotM.
- Really old bugs (like legendary medal for Surnrise and Twilight) unsolved.
I’m reading and reading a lot of great ideas in this trehad.
Even Blizzard introduces an entire new system on Diablo 3 (paragon system) based in one player ideas. Why you dont ANET?
Maybe a good solution (one of them) is remove (or drastically reduce) the time to research AoW and bounty hunt. This reduce at least one of the gaps between small and larger guilds and all ppl can start to enjoy the content this week.
@Tobias Trueflight: if you read all the post you can found a lot of great ideas, solutions and constructive comments. This is a discussion forum, is normal that not all the comments are constuctive.
How can you get merits if you can’t do the the quests which need merits to unlock quests?
I know it only costs 200 for each thing to start one. But you can’t buy that until you by the 150-200 merit + 50k influence thing first.
First guild mission (Bounty Hunt) dont need merits to unlock.

I have a small guild (25 members). Ok, no problem, i can handle the new content with this ppl.
We haven´t enough influence to reach AoW5 and unlock Bounty Hunt missions. Ok, no problem, with some effort we can buy it with gold.
We are a PvE focused guild, so we used our influence in Economics, Politcs and Arch (AoW is useless to us, why spend influence on it?). With your great desing of Guild Missions we need to wait two weeks to start play the new content!!! This is just ridiculous.
Really i dont understand which is the goal with this type of obstacles. The solution is simple. Move the unlock option to any categorie at lvl 1 (and reduce the cost). Not the next patch, not the next week, TODAY!!

Guilds already unlock the missions can keep. It is not necessary unlock again.
what about the guilds who bought gold to buy influence to unlock? do they get the gold back? who specifcially get the gold back? or do they get the influence back? see there is no changing it now.
I spend 350g on 100 cheraged lodestones for my Sunrise. Now ANET introduce Orr Jeweler bags and cherged lodestones cost 2g each. I Lost 150g, give me money back.

The problem isnt the influence cost, is the time to research AoW lvl5. If a guild already have this lvl in AoW is because that is what they wanted and now just need to research Guild Bounties unlock. The rest of the ppl still wait 2 weeks to reach first AoW 5 then Guild Bounties.

Sunrise have one of the most beautiful skins but if the most expensive to forje, charged lodestone are very expensive and really hard to get. Twilight is a good choice too.
Excellent idea. Lodestones are the worst part of the legendary. Mainly because they are almost impossible to farm.

Ignore him, he’s lying. It is a bug and Anet is aware of it.

Twilight and Sunrise dont count to the title track or as an account medal, because they arent the finished legendary. Eternity is the real legendary greatsword. The other two are sub legendaries. It also does not matter how much they require.
Think of Infinite Light and Mjolnir, those arent even ascended for there legendary matching costs.
It’s ridiculous. Both are legendary as any. I hope it is just a bug and fix it quickly Anet, but I find a joke that the two legendary harder to get do not count as legendary.
It would be really unfair if I had to make two legendary rather than to have the medal.
Official response would be nice because if I do not have to think about doing another legendary rather than those
