So I felt like doing the Ascalonia reward track today but for some reason I can’t reactivate it, even if I unlocked it by doing the story mode in pve. In the picture u can see that my mouse is on top of the track but it doen’t give me the option to reactivate it.
Maybe I will be back when I can explore Cantha on my Tengu Ritualist or Monk in 2019.

Funny thing was someone was AFK before I did anything but Im serious about this. Also It was kinda fun not raging cuz of stealth pull, bad player in your team or having to switch char just to keep up in the map.

That’s it I’m tired of S%$@Hammer map From now on I’m gonna play like anet intended to play that map, Im gonna jump and kill myself eveytime I get that map (over and over and over and over until the game ends). Im tired of having to switch classes eveytime I get that map and not being able to play what I want( and sooooo much more). Im sorry to the pour souls that get me in solo Q on Skyhammer.

For the past week I been lagging non stop and it gets even worst inside a match. I even get 5 sec lags. I also been checking my internet when I get the lags but it shows up fine.
So I log in today to read some post and stuff and I see 2 post made not to long ago about “teams History” tho they were some good read I notice that they had the Red symbols of when a Dev commented on them pretty fast, but I started thinking, on posts about skyhammer or anything to do with 2v2, 3v3, gvg, Bank and TP in hearth of the mist, build templates, NEW GAME MODE, turret engis and 4v5s they take months or NEVER comment at all. Which to me are things we pvprs NEED and been waiting for since the game started 2 yrs ago.
Sorry if I sound angry or that if feels that Im attacking someone, but that how I feel right now and I don’t mean any disrespect to anyone. Also sorry if I wrote something wrong English is my second language.

So since the patch I’m always lagging every time I enter solo q or team q but not outside of those places. I Tried playing with and with out the standard models and I still lag, I also put my setting to the lowest possible settings and I’m still lagging inside them. Am I the only one getting this?
thanks but I know that. every time you click and close the window there’s no mini and when u open it again it’s unchecked. Is this a bug or Anet is gonna charges us for using them in hearth of the mist?

So no bank(in HOTM), trader(in HOTM), 2v2, 3v3, GvG, deathmatch, templates, Removal of skyhammer or a HUGE fix to it, fix for the immobilize bug and fix for 4v5 in this patch? I thought this was a pvp/wvw patch, all I see is mostly for pve.
Does that mean we have to wait 6 MORE months for something?

Like a said in one of the earlier post about this Anet should put a rule(or whatever u call it) that anyone staying in the base for x amount of time gets a dishonorable so afker would have to move the char outside and be afk as he like but he’ll most likely get stomp and go back to base and if he still be afk and he’ll get the dishonorable so there’s no option for them but play or get the dishonorable.
Also anet don’t tell us the time for the base afk so people don’t abuse it.
Yeah after 2 years of not being listen Im starting to get bored with pvp and I don’t like pve or wvw, so ill prob take a long break from gw2. Conquest got stale and boring. I am still gonna wait for the patch but if that’s all the pvp community is getting I will strongly consider the break.
Well yeah there is a minority of people that actually like the map, but the majority of them really hate it and they are being force to play it in soloq, that’s not fun for them. I’m not saying remove it but just leave it in hotjoin where people have the option to play it or not.
Another solution could be that when people get skyhammer have the option to leave the que and have someone else that’s que up take that stop. The amount of 4v5 and 3v5 is huge in that map because so many people are being force to play and not have a choice.

This is a general pvp rant NOT just skyhammer.
This to me is the lack of respect the devs have for the community. How can they allow something that is this hated to continue?(Skyhammer) this map alone was the reason some of my friends stop playing pvp ( unfortunately true ) and many others from what I read in the skyhammer forum .
A single answer to why this map is still here would be nice. The lack of care to the pvp community can only last so much. I payed for this game( and gems) to have fun but every time I see skyhammer the fun goes away which is kinda sad in a game.
You also say you listen to the community I don’t really see that, people have been asking for GVG since launch heck since beta (I was one) and nothing till this day, Bank and trader in HOTM and nothing, 2v2 and 3v3 and nothing, A new game mode and nothing, yes you giving some stuff to us(nothing compare to pve) BUT is not what the majority of people have been asking for. yet every feature patch which is I believe once or twice a year(which are way too few) you go and give us something that’s not near of what we need. Also playing against broken classes for 6 months is not fun AT ALL either.
If you guys respect us a bit at least give an answer to why skyhammer is still a thing? Well there’s my rant sorry I just had to get it out of my chest. sorry if my English is not good it’s my second language.

it’s not only asuras, Giant norn or charr mesmers take advantage of the size to block your view with giant clones. Not only that Some weapons also cause problems like the legendary greatsword on a giant norn or charr guardian when they start spinning around with those weapons you really can’t see anything because It cover the whole node.
Also having someone with the legendary bow unicorn shooting from behind you It blocks some of your view so you can’t tell what that tiny asura is gonna do in the mix of a big battle.
So In some special cases it’s not only for the Asura it’s for the big ones too.
Edit: Also I believe the reason they didn’t involve solo q with the standardize models is probably They’re gonna remove it and or change it for the a new pvp mode but that’s just speculation

I’d wager that the problem with importing PvP concepts and game modes from GW1 is that the game mechanics are very different. People ask for GvG, as it was in GW1, like once a month and the reality is that GvG would be very, very different in GW2. This game is only a “Guild Wars” installment in theme and title only.
They have to come up with new arenas that work within the foundation they currently have, not what they had in GW1… so perhaps that’s just a steep challenge and they’re undecided on it. I’m sure some additions are coming, sooner or later.

Well they did make maps and a lot of player complained about it. And considering they had to redesign a lot of the PvP mechanics like rewards, added custom, solo Q, etc new maps. Also your short-sighted argument fails once you realize that alot of maps are made but not all of them are successful so they have to be redesigned or dropped all of which takes a lot of time.
Its 2 years after the release so while they were making it they could have implemented GvG into their scheduled . there most be something wrong cuz I can think of 3 map after the release and those are skyhammer, spirit watch and courtyard those were the successful ones? . couryard too small for anyone to enjoy spritwatch too broken for a few classes and skyhammer don’t get me started about that. I agree. We’ve done some of the core stuff we wanted to nail w/ the conquest format, so now we’ll start getting into different secondaries that provide new types of gameplay.
^ Over a year ago… Still hasn’t happened, and this “new PvP format” just simply is not working…
Which brings me back to topic… Why don’t we switch back to what we KNOW works, what we KNOW is successful from GW1… and just add all these new ideas and features on top of that hugely successful framework?

lol I stole it one time as a bunker guard I just placed a symbol on the ground were the chief was funniest thing i ever since in pvp
The scepter block is useless when you fight multiple targets though, it almost always goes to something else attacking you like a minion or clone.
And all the clone attacks are single target too, so sure pu mesmer will be buffed a bit on a 1v1. But if that person stands still and doesn’t cast anything but his heal once in a while, that condi mesmer can’t hurt him or force him off a point.
It’s fun. The counter to AI is… AI.

Mesmer have always been AI based why q_q now about it? anyways you guys are making a huge deal out of pu mesmer build It can’t play in a competitive game it can’t HOLD a Point and takes a while to kill anything even in a 1v1 and in TEAM fight it’s worthless puff the turrent engi is more viable but still out of the meta. oh wait don’t tell me that it take a 2v1 for pu to die guess what so does many turret engi builds and they still not in the meta.
There’s so many classes that can put passively condis on AA heck even a war can put that fire field pretty much all the time and burning does way more dmg even without investment into condi, u all seen it. I see what the dev were trying to do and they want a condi shatter build to be meta so mesmers can survive the thieves pressure in team fight and fight back. Also don’t talk to me about wvw because this is a PVP forum and if u gonna say Im defending mesmer cus I main one tough lucky I main a bunker guardian some of you guys may know as siegfried the holy well there’s my rant of the day

Well to me it would be something that can tank, deal dmg and 1 v 1 really good so something like d/d cele ele, spirit ranger ( still good for home bunk), any kinda of war and dont kill me for this but a turret engi to me its perfect for home bunk just leave the thumper turret in home and support mid, well that’s my 2 cents hope it helps
I would LOVE a heavy(or light) version of the ritualist that focus on urns, spirit weps(ala gw1 not the guardian ones), channeling magic and calling the powers of the spirits to give him self or allies buffs or boom …. I miss my rit (engi are not RITSS!)

or maybe players that have a certain number of champion titles or maybe champion titles and rank 80 so that it for pvprs and not for some others to abuse

IMO Lol main game mode goes well with the combat system they have but gw2 awesome combat system is wasted on the current mode we have.

A lot of people are not happy with skyhammer, It promotes this kind of behavior. So I’m guessing this is what you guys want right? This is the kind of thing you like to see in your pvp right? tbh I’m getting real tired of pvper being a second class citizen to you guys. Don’t get me wrong I love this game and I wish the best for it and I really hate to talk(write) like this about it, but its been 2 years and pvp is basically the same thing(to me atleast). We need new game modes, templates, Bank, trading post, living story reward tracks and pvp exclusive reward tracks before we would ever need tournaments IMHO. I’m really sorry, I just had to get this off my chest.

Well if we lose the mid fight and the other team has the 2 points, at that time the most important thing is to regroup never go alone to cap far or mid alone. Most of the time the enemy team makes the mistake to push for home after they get mid and they send 3 people to home point( cuz the other 2 are holding mid and far point) by that time your whole team would spawn and go take home back have 3 to 1 enemy players down which will give your team a number advantage to take mid point back. remember once you have both mid and home point u dont need to push for far and if u do send 1 or 2 people to pressure not cap it or die there. I have a simple Idea for that why dont we get a Bank NPC in hearth of the Mist that can ONLY be use IF a player reaches Rank 80 (can be 60 or 70 too) that way Pvers can’t abuse of the free pass to hearth of the mist to use bank. It can even be use with the merchant and a mystic forge so we pvpers get what we need and pvers have to rank up in order too use them

I was wondering if it would be a good idea to Prioritize Conditions, as in when you have all conditions at the same time in a match ( we all been there ) and you activate a condition remover it would remove the once you have prioritize first. It could be place in the settings . Conditions can be put on people with much ease that people usually have to bring more than one way of removing them. This is for helping those classes that don’t have many ways of removing them. For example you wanna remove a cripple as a mesmer but you have like 4 more condition that were place there after the cripple was this way you can remove it. also sorry for my bad English writing.
