We got focused by Kain during Jerry hours while outmanned on every map <.<. This fight seems mute. TC does the ppt thing and Kain wipes out any borderland at will. Solution? Something better than dieing alot and reupgrading everything everyday while being pinned down defending paper forts. I’ll boycott this match on account of the Jerrys.

I don’t know about you, but my guild and I are actually happier when we see that we’re outmanned on a map.

I don’t think either of those guilds planned on trolling the parade by joining the guild, although they are the ones that killed that tier 3 parade and I’m sure would have loved to kill the parade again.

I have no idea what guild Stawker was in (edit: apparently he is GL of RET according to his forum title?) Here are some screencaps. Perhaps the PD and BT people who posted that they would be there/try to be there are not leaders from those guilds. According to their titles in the forums it would seem most of them are Guild Leaders or Officers. but that could be untrue. I wouldn’t really know.

yea your original post made it seem like there was some espionage being done by bt and pd to infiltrate your super exclusive public guild to tear the parade apart from the inside.

that screenshot seems more reasonable with pretty much everyone expressing interest in killing the parade; exactly the appropriate fa response to learning of a dolyak parade! :P

Kain NA is wierd at the moment. We dont seem to have any trouble taking SM or whatever keeps we want, but then we go off and get in a stupid fight with SoS over a tower or something and FA just walks into a free keep.

FA is playing it properly at the moment, taking key points from Kain when the opportunity arrises and dropping a tonne of seige to make it impossible to take back.
This is all good though, another opportunity for Kain to learn how to play against a more turtly server. BG/Kain/TC was all about the open field battles/zerg v zerg and we are clearly a bit out of practise at the simple art of defending our own keeps.

I had a chuckle to myself when the Kain zerg crushed our 6 man assault on SM and retaliated by taking an unmanned Wild Creek, while FA took advantage of this and walked into SM and took it.

FA’s EU is scary though, like playing BG all over again. Kain badly needs some EU numbers.

FA doesn’t have EU or SEA, but FA does have NA and Oceanics playing overtime to cover the gaps

FA spent the entirety of their match-up with TC spewing insults about how TC was bad and only had numbers etc etc, and then got kitten when TC players defended themselves. Then they trolled the cross-server event, bragged about it endlessly, made fun of people trying to get some cross-server respect going on, and complained when they got reduced to 0 PPT during NA prime-time the next day. Even now, the FA community forums are all about how having a civil match-up thread (like the BG/TC/Kaineng thread from the last three weeks) was “disgusting” and how it “needed more hostility”.

The old match-up threads are still there, anyone can go read them. Don’t rewrite history, and don’t blame your issues on someone else.

I know the threads are still there, that’s why i quoted one of them.
If you don’t think rivalries are fun, there are plenty of noncompetitive options for you.

and I’m specifically referring to the fact that in the earlier TC FA matchups TC was not much stronger than FA at all, we had very close matchups until TC received transfers. For some reason some of you spent lots of time denying an influx of players and basically told us to keep practicing because eventually we’ll improve.

I have no shame for receiving the oceanic transfers that helped us improve to a point where we can compete again.

FA still has plenty of room if you like killing enemies

There will probably always be bad blood between us and FA, and maybe some of that competitive spirit isn’t all bad. But truly, if there was any server that was near the same situation TC is in, its FA. One night in Tier 3 was enough to show me that you guys don’t really belong in T3 anymore than we do, and I think I’d much rather be beat in Tier 2 than relax in Tier 3. As much as I’d hate to see another server die, It would be really great to have a FA/TC/Kain matchup. Cya guys soon.

Many of us on FA will never forget the months of TC talking down to us, telling us the reason why TC had improved so much was hard work and improved tactics and not the transfers TC had received, that FA was full of terrible players. TC probably won’t forget the great dolyak slaughter that it culminated into, followed by the threats of forcing us down to tier 4.

In a way TC helped shape FA by filtering out those who didn’t have the fighting spirit to not give up despite fighting overwhelming numbers and establishing a community that attracted similar minds from IOJ. I’m glad for that, but I hate TC for it. I can’t wait to fight you guys again because I know there will be hundreds of RPers lining up to pay tribute to my daggers in the form of loot bags.

So for now I say Good Luck In Tier Three [TC]. You failed to send us to tier 4 but we did get to return the favor and send you to tier 3.

sorry you feel disrespected, but i think what you have gathered as a “flood of requests” has actually been the gradual understanding from members of FA that there is a large coverage gap that is exploited by db’s strong presence at that time.

db’s SEA population pvdooring FA is what keeps you guys as competitive as you are points-wise, it took me a couple weeks and a few early mornings to realize db had comfortable 450+ PPT during our offhours.

I think that it’s natural upon that realization for people to consider the benefits of having that population on our side, seek that population, and then seek other similar populations to fill that spot.

seems more like a logical progression than a disrespectful attitude to me.

I’m willing to bet that just because you dropped that name, you have watched videos and read things to make yourself a better player.

I’m willing to bet you have used some of the information others who play this game have posted online to tune your build and improve your game.

So, why would you debase yourself in an attempt to degrade your opponents for using … tactics? If they’re as you say, Red Guard copycats, why aren’t you countering their ‘highly predictable’ tactics with some brilliant maneuvers of your own?

To summarize, I don’t think it’s right to suggest that learning from others is a bad thing.

I probably read the same forums that guild does. Wow, here we both are on the same forums. I never called BT unskilled, I did call them copy cats and they are. I have played against them several times now. In the past match up’s they played allmost nothing but thiefs, they ran a pack of them who would sit in camps and insta gank. This was the OPed tactic of that time in the game, or so it was believed. Now there is a better tactic that has been found, by another guild, and they’re doing that.

Now one of that guild called everyone other then the few guilds he wants to jump ship to his server in this match, “unskilled zerg”. “Unskilled zerg” coming from a copy cat, irony. A few of them are now kitten because I have pointed that fact out.

If they dont want people questioning thier posts, then I would say stop posting like they are doing something that hasn’t already been done, by someone else and use a tactic that Anet hasn’t already acknowledged as being an issue that will be nerfed in the upcoming patch.

FA as a server has some extremely high caliber guilds that can and want to compete against the best. If you are a guild in SEA/EU times that have the same desire to fight, please consider contacting some FA guilds for more information.

I don’t know how anybody is having fun to be honest with you. I personally am bored with fighting DB and whoever. They don’t have the coverage to compete with us, just like we don’t have the coverage if we went to T2.

if Krew, and EA, and NNK and a few more notable guilds would move to FA. we would have a competitive server that could stick in T2. As opposed to FA facerolling T3, Maguuma Facerolling T4. This would Create fun fights for everybody involved, as well as a balanced tier. FA has the oceanic coverage…in fact we have the most oceanic coverage I would say, we need more WvW oriented NA guilds, and an SEA/EU presence to do it.

It only makes sense. I can pretty much speak for all of BT when I say we would prefer to be losing/in a competitive fight. The borderlands become a target rich enviroment as opposed to a PvDoor snoozefest or unorganized zerg farm/Enemy not being able to field players due to fairweathers.

Now just because you’re abusing buff stacking and Ele’s AE dmg doesnt mean everyone else who isnt running 20 ele’s and 20 guards with 50 stacks of might and dmg abs. shields up the kitten is an unorganized zerg.

Next month you’re D/D ele zerg ball will be nerfed into oblivion and you can all go back to playing thiefs again.

The vast majority of Yaks Bend has no interest in being in this bracket, ever. We prefer smaller fights and if we wanted large fights we would have moved onto a tier 1 server long ago.

Pretty sure you can’t “abuse” buff stacking, buffs are part of the game and how you PvP in this game. Because Maguuma is not used to this kind of zerging. People complained about our zergs in previous matchups, but we haven’t even seen the semi-organized zergs in this tier. I remember FA showing us a lot of neat strategies but I suppose reset night isn’t about that.

incorrectly priced karma items could be purchased without hacking, disenchanting those snowflake items could be done without hacking, jumping into hills along the spawn wall could be done without hacking.

Servers like HoD/ET/SBI/IoJ/ now CD just giving up and transferring away is not dependable in any way.

All these claims about being “WvW” or “pro” or “good” or what have you then the first sign of possible trouble and they leave one after another to either stack up an already strong server that’s winning or they all bandwagon onto a server that will be winning through sheer transfer numbers all the while plugging their ears going ‘nah nah nah nah I can’t hear you over the sound of my PvP excellence’.

Anyway, I want to point out that both IOJ and FA have been great opponents, and even when they’re outnumbered they don’t give up, and always play to win.

That’s why I hope these server transfers and their “who cares about the score” attitude doesn’t rub off on them.
