Love it. I would also like to see separate body/hair glows for sylvari.

I feel I should mention this is a suggestion, since it looks sort of like patch notes.
In November, the Consortium brought us The Fractals of the Mists; “stabilized” chunks of reality within the Mists. (The Mists, of course, also being the setting for player versus player). The Consortium, being the capitalists that they are, would surely like to sell their new- and likely infinite, real estate.
New Guild Unlock: Consortium Guild Hall Contract
- Architecture Rank V Required
- Cost of Merits & Influence (should be fairly expensive yet reasonably obtainable by smaller guilds)
- Once complete, the guild hall contract can be activated, asking the player to choose a theme. 5 themes to start with: Human, Norn, Charr, Sylvari, and Asura. Construction of your guild hall would reflect architecture of the race you choose.
Accessing A Guild Hall
- For your own hall, A new button would be added to the main screen of your guild tab, allowing you to enter your guild hall at will.
- A new teleporter in The Consortium area, which upon communicating with a golem, you could choose to either teleport to your own guild hall, or view a list of “Open” guild halls.
- Once created, Guilds would be allowed to list their Hall as “Open” which would allow anyone to visit your guild hall. (through the method listed above)
Construction and Upgrades
- When you first enter your guild hall, it might look rather plain. This would be to allow you to build upgrades like furniture, extra merchants, and even additional buildings.
- Guild Supply would be a new Guild-based Currency, which would increase by depositing materials like Wood, Ore, Cloth, etc. into the guild. Higher tier materials would give more supply. This currency would be used to build things in your guild hall. (there would have to be some way for sPvPers to gain supply too, perhaps by spending glory)
- A separate version of the hall would be accessible by those with permissions where you could edit your guild hall before saving it. This would be where furnishings and upgrades would be used.
- Furnishings would be stored with regular upgrades. Activating them would give you a bundle, that would be placed in a similar manner to siege weaponry, which could then be turned, or picked back up as a bundle. (eg: skill 1 rotate clockwise, skill 2 pick up, skill 3 rotate counter-clockwise, and Esc to leave it alone)
- Once Saved, people inside the guild hall would likely have to reload to see the changes, so a Notification in chat inside the guild hall would be a good way to notify occupants that there is a new version of the hall.
Services Available Inside Guild Halls
- Guild Bank, Guild Armorer, Weaponsmith, Commendation Trader, Guild Registrar, perhaps a small bar in the Hall where a Guild Promoter would reside.
- Upgrades could be personal storage, Salvage/mining tool merchants, Mystic forge, Crafting stations, or black lion pickup. (All of these things area already freely available by heading to your world’s borderland, so I see no issue with giving them to guild halls, especially as an upgrade)
Gem Store Opportunities
- Theme Resets/expansions, Granting you the ability to reset your guild hall (furnishings should be saved), and giving additional options, such as a “Minor Races of Tyria” pack that would include skritt scratches, Ogre Kraals, and Hylek villages. (Quaggan villages and Grawl caves would be harder to implement, I would love Dredge myself) These items could also make the resident npcs of your guild hall of that race.
Guild Vs Guild
Undoubtedly what you are all reading for, Guild vs Guild has been highly demanded since beta. With the idea that these are giant chunks of mass floating around, it’s not impossible that these “Guild Hall Fractals” could collide. The idea would be the same as GW1, (which I have not experienced, but from what I’ve read is to “capture” the other guild’s hall) perhaps with a land mass between the halls for a more expansive fight, depending on how big guild halls end up being.
TL;DR, Guild halls based on The Fractals of the Mists technology, smash them together for GvG.
That’s all I’ve come up with for now, I’ll post more if and when I think of it.

so not only are they
1. not unique
2. cleric statsbut now they suck as Vendor fodder too? lol I’ve done every event since i started this game except this one.
3. Cannot be salvaged…
Brilliant incentive to do the puzzle there.

I like the quirkiness of this mistake though. I used a beaded Lancea on my necro for ages, stabbing away with my little harpoon gun.

maybe a checkbox option like “disable instrument sounds in WvW”.
(-)WvW, I would like the ability to mute instruments whenever someone decides to be troll, not just WvW.
- Explorer Bekk
Fractal specific items (gift of ascension, vials, fractal boxes) should stay fractal specific, as you don’t need infused items (for extra +5 agony resist) for WvW.
Exotic Back pieces (even invisible) in the master armor vendor would be lovely though.

Don’t forget that there are people who try to go around the censor as well, I do believe if you’re breaking up your “f words” so that the censor wont catch them that you should be punished. (this is coming from a pro-swearing point of view, too)
- Explorer Bekk
Elitism is definitely key. But I understand the desire to be able to see exactly what someone is wearing aesthetically. Maybe a blank-statted preview of everything (that has visibility eg: armor, weapons, back and aqua breather)? I can see that working out a bit better.

For those who aren’t familiar with Mesmers, our Grandmaster Domination(power) minor trait is currently Wastrel’s Punishment . My current understanding of this trait is that an “inactive” foe is a foe not doing anything (Unengaged). If this includes Dazed, stunned, and knocked down foes, Then I just believe this trait should be re-worded in the very least. If this only means foes not yet engaged, then this trait is only effecting one hit, and only if the Mesmer is getting the first hit every time.
I believe this trait needs a replacement for being the Grandmaster minor trait in the power line, as it has such a little effect, compared to Thieves’ 10% damage vs foes with conditions, or even Guardians’ enhanced symbol damage. Right now it feels like the only one punished is the Mesmer.

And you know that because of one secondborn-sylvari (out of 4 that we currently know) who is the founder of the Nightmare Court? Very weak argument.
I couldn’t remember Amaranda to tell the truth (at least didn’t remember her being noted as a secondborn), and Laranthir has about as much character as any other vigil crusader. But the two secondborn with a good deal of history (even if it’s in the making) are turning out to be less than reputable. I’m counting Canach as shady because the Fervid Censer does say that he used the device to spread wildlife aggravating toxins on southsun cove, it doesn’t sound unintentional if he’s using some sort of device.

I think it’s rather peculiar that he got fused gauntlets, he may not be the mastermind behind the alliance, but he was likely involved to some degree. As for the female behind the alliance, both dredge and flame legion see females as lower than males, so I’m not sure how well a female could have pushed them together. It’s also notable that secondborn sylvari tend to be shady/ evil characters.

Instead of just posting another Dungeon finder topic, I’ll just post my idea here. First I’ll start by saying the OP’s suggestion isn’t quite right since dungeons can be contested, allowing it to start automatically circumvents the whole reason of having a dungeon become contested.
What I see is rather than a UI devoted to ALL dungeons, separate UI’s accessed by clicking on the dungeon icons in the map view. By clicking on a dungeon’s icon (contested or not) you would be given a prompt for either story or explorable mode, followed by an option to either List your party as looking for others (including class priority for those who need a guardian, or want their all-warrior CoF party), or to search for a party, which would bring up all the listed parties available. An ability to “name your party” listing would allow people to list which or all paths they are doing.
I don’t think auto-teleporting to dungeons is a very good idea, since they make us pay for waypoints for a reason, but to be able to form a party quick and efficiently shouldn’t be barred.

Are the mobile mystic forges infinite? I know the crafting station isn’t so I won’t get my hopes up.

So far I have really enjoyed the Living story. I think it would be beneficial to use the living story to release new content to the players. For example, the Southsun Cove story is leading towards what I believe (and hope) is another story dungeon(rather than a single event chain like the original Southsun release). That’s all well and fine, but what if after the events of the dungeon, and the end of the living story arc, an explorable dungeon was left in it’s place where players could remember the events passed. If the living story is supposed to progress the history, why not use it to release permanent content as well as the temporary content that tells the story?

Love it now. Loved it when it came back. Love Karka. I will concede that there isn’t much drawing me to the island though.

The boat travel is going away when the asura gate is complete, if you talk to the people at SSC they tell you that.

I’m using the Male #2 here.

I’ve made this thread before too, with the addition of a check box like hats/shoulders/gloves/back to show/hide the mini.
I keep a safe box as one of my bags to never sell my spare weapons etc, so my mini doesn’t get deposited, but the real problem with minis in my opinion is having to summon it every time you load a map.
- Explorer Bekk
I main Mesmer, and I know Mesmer is in a pretty good place right now, but here are some things I think would make the class more fun.
1. Clones: Add a trait similar to ranger’s spirit trait to allow clones(not phantasms, I can see where that would get too strong) to persist past the death of the target and function like normal minions.
-Why?: Clones are supposed to deceive the opponent, they are fragile and weak, their only real use is to shatter, this would allow Mesmers in combat to sort of “store” shatters.
2. Time Warp: I propose a change that would apply a non-removable 1 second condition to opponents inside of time warp, decreasing their attack speed by the same amount allies are increased by. (Same as the Quickness applied, it would be ten 1 second conditions.)
-Why?: The effect would be that time warp as an elite with a 4 minute cooldown would return to a similar effect of it’s previous form: allies going twice as fast as opponents; while the effectiveness vs players would be up to opponents leaving the area, this change would allow time warp to be used both supportively-to boost your team’s ability, and offensively-as an AoE speed decrease.

I for one am hoping for something in the style of a toy ray-gun for pistol.

Fractal bags can aid with this, I have a rare Fractal equipment box in the last bag slot with a master salvage kit in it (it doesn’t get compacted) so I just scroll to the last bag to find out how many rares I have and salvage. Granted, this means my exotics do get shuffled in with the rest of my gear, but there is an exotic box as well. (I just don’t get enough exotics to warrant it)

After reading this I had to go back to WvW, as I apparently completely missed the word skin on that tab. I’m not sure I’d agree with all the skins being there, as I do believe a choice is a choice, but being able to buy more fanged dread masks would certainly put a menacing, fanged smile on my face.

This is the second time I’ve had to make a thread about fixing vision of the mists, the first time, you guys fixed it. I liked the double hilt on vision of the mists.
- Explorer Bekk
No more need be said. Though to elaborate, you can only have one mini out at a time, why not make it an equipment so we can keep it on instead of having to “use” them every time we load a map. You could even do that nifty show/hide check box for them.
I’m sure this has been suggested before, but repetition is the first step to absorbing.
- Explorer Bekk
I logged in today to find my vision of the mists was way more plain than it used to be, as well as my spirit links. These weapons were cool because they were always misty, not only in combat. It’s rather disappointing that they are just translucent purple weapons (especially vision of the mists now that it’s just the single sword, I liked the dual-appearance.), I would like to see them reverted back to what has become the normal, glowing greatness I spent the money on them for.
- Explorer Bekk
This seems backwards, reworking the bosses, great, making it so we don’t have to wp a million times, great. But you left everything pretty hard, AND we can’t use wps.
On a more constructive note, Why not add a cool down to waypointing when dead like in pvp? Have the cool down increase for number of times you waypoint, or something. Taking away the waypoints all together seems to just deter people from trying.
