Not sure where this should be placed, but here goes..
Was pottering about in WvWs last night when our garrison kept flashing under attack.
Eventually we found a Mesmer in the actual walls, below our champions (or wtf they are).I`ve found out their name & tried to report as cheating, but there`s no option.
Anyone else had this &/or know Arenanet` position on it?
Have the feeling this one did it on purpose.
They were /laugh etc, whilst attacking our guards etc.
Three of us stood waiting for them to map out for ages, so they weren`t in combat & could`ve easily left, but they didn`t.Hi there, I did wonder whether there would be a post about this.
It was me (on my mesmer) who got stuck under the Dreaming Bay keep yesterday night.I just like to clarify that I have no idea how it happened, but I’ll try to explain the events that led to me being stuck there:
A large group (including me) were attacking the south inner gate at Dreaming Bay. It was being defended so someone put down a Ballista Build Site, just on the edge of the land/water. I had 2 supply left and decided to add them to that Ballista Build Site. I did get there, help build the Ballista, but after I put in my 2 supply and tried to get up and back to the fight I got stuck somwhere under the Ballista Build Site.
No matter what I tried I couldn’t get back up on land. At one point it looked like I was walking on land, but the grass was appearing above my head. After that I did try to see where I could end up;
- I could swim under the whole of the inner keep of Dreaming Bay.
- I could NOT attack any NPC’s/Guards etc (all invulnarable).
- I could attack the gate and other players from under there.I did attack the gate and other players for a while. But even after I stopped attacking I was kept in combat for ages, not allowing me to port back to the Citadel
Eventually I did get out of combat and ported out straight away.
I can understand that it seemed very dodgy and/or could be considered exploiting behavior, but I didn’t deliberately look for a way to get stuck like that, so I certainly didn’t do it on purpose!
At first I was like “what the hell?? how do I get out of here?” I have to admit that I did find it funny when I could attack the gate and/or players and I did laugh on Ventrilo with my gf about it (I didn’t use any emotes btw), but I really didn’t mean to cause harm to anyone or deliberately exploit.
If I somehow end up in such a ridiculously “stuck” situation, I will try to port out as soon as I can. But ask yourself, if it would happen to you (or anyone)…who wouldn’t try to see what can or can’t be done whilst being in such situation?
I do would like to know if Arenanet can prevent such “stuck” situations from happening as I’m someone who’s also being put off by people that use exploits deliberately.
Again, I’m sorry for any problems I may have caused
But I like to point out once more that I didn’t do it on purpose.
Can we go back to (normally) battling in WvW now?

I`d like this fixed also.
Currently it`s a pain to have to double tap blank screen (assuming there is any ;p) just to lose target, knowing you`ll more then likely get stunned anyway.
I have found the perfect use for it lately though….
I use signets, get aggro, mobs stand right next to me & then I use it.
Well, only way it guarantees (90%) of the time) it works as it`s meant to.
Think it was removed originally due to botters, but seeing as those are all sat in high end zones 24/7, I`d like this turned back on too.
tbh don`t think I`ve ever seen a bot running Dolyak runs.

Just entered Abaddons Mouth (I`m play via underworld) & any time I & other players leave our base it either teleports us forwards from the firsts set of stairs to the outer entrance &/or vice versa.
Once we`ve been ported out once we can get on our way but this may get worse, it`s an odd one.

Contemplating one for my Ele` (rarely use staff so not fusssed about that) (in around five years it`ll take to make one ;p) but have only seen two clips showing next to sod all.

Been bugging (tee-hee!) me for ages.
I can`t target players or much of anything behind me unless it`s really close.
Not sure if bug or intended (but why if intended?).
Not so much a problem in PvE but in PvP this is a pain & a half.
No Captchas, ever, not in a billion Tyrian years!

Another idea though.
I went to some waypoint earlier & 3 bots were firing at some mobs nearby.
These mobs were invulnerable, therefore they were stood there firing all the time rather then gathering mats etc & messing up the TP.
Just stick some near each area & could come in handy.
This is getting worse.
Headed into the ship in Orr (one with chest in the lower deck).
I was on deck with few others, targeted mob down first slope, walked towards, cast a signet, then RTL.
It sent me further back onto the deck where nothing was even close :$
It`s not an imbalance though seeing as everyone can get them, if the doors would open that is
/shove to use only on Quaggans.

Good job halting/slowing the gold mails, but really could do with Dhuum visiting Frostgorge.
So disheartening seeing easily over a dozen bots running the valley & yet more at the mob camp at the end.
Way too many to report
Be good to hide that star from everyone completely.
I won`t do map completion as the star can be seen from further away then players tend to render & can be seen through walls etc
Arenanet did comment (somewhere..) that they`re aware & are looking into it.
Nah, I don`t use fast casting either, prefer the double key tap (D/D so less need for it).
Had wondered first time or two if I`d been about faced, but I generally run head on into the mob/mobs so it`s not that.
It`s not due to auto targeting on my end, not used that since BWEs.
I do select my taergets yet it`ll send me to another random one/place at times.
Only been like this last couple of days.
I`ve had the same problem, also randomly going another direction even if there`re no mobs where I`ve been sent.
This is a pain in the kitten indeed.
Same on Underworld. Can`t get in
It also increases your repair bills.
Really hope this is a bug, but I had the rare occasion of getting Mist Form off earlier before the mob just following me.
This led to repairs just short of 4S

Bug in WvWs occuring, since last night friendlies aren`t showing up on the minimap, even if I`m stood right next to them.
This isn`t just happening at the bases, but all over.

Had this a few times on my Ele`.
Mainly happens when I use RTL &/or Fire forwards skill, but has happeneed twice when just jumping about.
Had this pointed out to me recently.
Under each skill there is a (miniscule) bar that shows red if enemy mob/player is out of range.
Prefer your suggestion though.

Zoomed in view is made much worse with the added fuzz stuff that is now on the edge of the screen :$
I flat out hate the downed state camera rotating.
It did it in Guild Wars which was a tad annoying, but at least once you pointed the camera where you wanted it, it stayed there.
Yep tried escape, no change.
Ran someone through the place today, their first time, anyway….
Some Thief crept up & hit me where I`m stood with a boulder.
I attacked him, knocked him back down
Then, for the next few minutes I was stuck in combat.
Started recording this & you`ll notice I`ve D/D equipped.
I`m nowhere near any enemy, I couldn`t hit them if I wanted to, yet I`m still stuck in combat.
Even my (bugged range) signet of fire couldn`t reach them.

Any chance of doing something about players getting stuck in combat?
During going through Eternal puzzle an enemy hit me in the caged area (ooer), by mistake it seems as they didn`t carry on.
For the next three minutes neither of us fired anything at each other.
We had no DoTs on either of us obviously, yet for the next three minutes we were stuck in combat.
This happens all the time, such as I`m on walls doing damage. I stand back to not get hit, then I`m stuck in combat until either me or enemy player goes out of range for long enough.
Can you put some sort of timer on that means if we`ve not done/received damage for a set (short) amount of time, we leave combat?
I was mainly using fire as tends to splatter, but Air hits multiple targets so I switched about at times.

There`s a distance bar? Huh, never knew.
As an Ele` I`m always casting one or twelve sparkles, we`re squishie enough without not trying to hit things
Still using mine, despite loathing the thing at times ;p
Flat out hate making/using alts so that`s a no go.
Guess just have to keep oping things get fixed.

This is where we were scrapping.
The bit that`s to the right, platform with dragon mouths/flames is where they were for quite some time.
He was able to hit me directly from there (stood near the centre area) even though I backed off to the far side of the controls, yet when I`m stood on the edge nearest to that platform I couldn`t hit them.
Then when they were stood here (shown in picture) they were able to hit me (directly again, not splashes) & I couldn`t get range most of my shots to hit them. (Also a bit of LoS doesn`t work here it seems)

Just curious if I`ve missed something.
Was in Eternal puzzle earlier & an Ele` was hitting me with fire yet I couldn`t due to “out of range”.
Is there a trait to extend our range (can`t find one but…/shrug) or is this due to them being lower/me higher etc or worse, hacks?
The range they were hitting me at was more akin to Rangers range.
So I guess we`re still either squishy melee D/D,
Tanky D?D lower damage,
or ranged low damage Staff.
Can`t alternate
As for downed state…That was my main concern.
Really can`t believe this hasn`t changed in any form. I know there`s probably loads to do. Hell, Underworld has been plagued with lag in some zones & Jormar canons firing & not a dragon in sight etc as I can imagine loads of others have been.
Guess I`ll change my characters name to Alt F4
Just can`t stand getting downed, knowing there`s sod all I cn do & staring at the map thinking “Get it over with already!!”.
I know how UP Ele` can be. I`m targetted first even if surrounded by countless others & I do the same to other Ele`.

When in WvWvW it`s hard trying to see what we`re fighting & more so when it`s just a mass group of players scrapping.
Any chance of making our name plates the same colour as our representing colour of the maps of the time?
eg: blue, red, green.
Yes red generally does mean dead. But when it`s three servers, it`d be sooo much easier to sus out a fight when we can see it`s two enemy teams rather then having to tab/click each name (assuming we can even get close enough to see them).
& what about when you`ve been using staff to heal others, throw sparkles on top of walls etc?
You`re then stuck in combat (usually for a silly amount of time after you`ve stopped casting/being hit).
Staff is no good against a player.
Also most of staff damage is way lower then D/D etc & cast times et al, don`t envisage that being OP in any form.
Almost forgot, downed state made semi less useless ;p
Erm, shift click the icon at base & say attack/defend there “please”?

The cog top left of chat box has text sizes, but tbh I`ve tried largest text/smallest UI & it`s too small.

I noticed that http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Signet_of_fire was saying way too often that “Out of range”, more so in WvWs when I know I wasn`t, but it happens all too often when I know I`m in range.

They were handy in GW, but in GW2 I`ve been able to (had to, I play Ele` ;p) hide almost in plain sight & watch dozens of enemy toddle past a few feet away.
Yet one more reason why auto loot makes more sense.
I kill second WvWs player, third side kills me.
nobody gets anything except repair bills.
I did get res`d shortly after, but by then the bag had despawned :$
