unless they are full bunker i can usually take them out… though the good ones will most likely run away when they get low and continue to reset non stop. you need to stack might like a mad man and make sure to dodge their stuns and knockdowns. s/d also does really well against them, the instant blind on air 3 blows up there cc chains every time and one with air will give you enough distance to kite them around and make them miss alot of their earthshakers.

The problem is those condi builds are pretty much the only thing anyone solos on these days, except for the perma stealth d/p thieves. I love the class, but it does get frustrating when virtually every fight is desperately trying to deal with one condi dump after another.

Yea I definatley agree… when one burning application can take almost half your health in only a few seconds it can get brutal… good terrain it essential to succeed in some of these fights (especially when outnumbered) and just being cheesy as possible … i dont feel bad molesting walls with FGS against some of the ridiculous builds running around out there …. lets keep our fingers crossed for a good patch!

fc is still a bunch of scrubs in my eyes. hats off to DR though they definitely stepped it up .. fc biggest flaw = 80 million man blob that doesnt spread their numbers out and cant due to lack of skill ..also if they cant keep a wp their pretty much done cuz they cant spam their whole server in. and that folks is fc exposed like dog nuts. my advice to DR if u wanna take 2nd focus getting down fc’s way points. keep their kitten paper and GG.

I have level’d quite a few alts to 80 with the intention of making them my main but always go back to ele. they are to much fun!

one with air has nice potential, and I like it alot. not much room for it with d/d builds though (amazing with s/d) . I honestly think the nerfed range on RTL was enough.. its quite difficult to get away from many classes since it doesn’t just put you out of combat immediatley after using it now. I really dont think giving it a 20 second cooldown again will cause any problems, it will resolve alot though!

I dont think d/d is really in that bad a spot right now…. if they bring condi classes damage down a bit it should be pretty strong again. but seriously…. RTL 20 seconds CD .. i mean cmon… do it… just do it.

Perhaps a class as complex as the elementalist just isnt for you. You should stick with warrior!! you seem to enjoy it.

Thank you so much for all this! it would be awesome if we were able to keep renewing stanima and elemental attunement both are usually key traits in all my builds. The tempest defense changes seem interesting. will the damage bonus work with blowout skills also? What are the slim chances that you guys will change anything about the way Ride The Lightning functions ?

There are very interesting changes in here…. like some of you, im concerned with the moving of elemental attunement and the adept water condi clear. I think this would be ok if they changed the cooldown on RTL back to 20 seconds with its reduced range. The earth condi immunity and tempest defense changes actually sound amazing (does tempest defense damage boost still not work with updraft? ). I also dont think the attunement cooldowns will keep people out of arcane, its all about the boons… those 3 extra seconds can feel like a lifetime when your waiting for protection, water heals, or shocking aura to come back up. Evasive Arcana and the Water 15 trait are way to strong, they are our only source of having staying power in a fight. All that being said I am very much looking forward to these changes!

HI! this bug is making it very difficult to play my ele as i have attunements bound to mouse 4 and 5. In the meantime Im stuck playing my OP warrior since they only have one profession button. A fix to this will be greatly appreciated! thank you for everything!

i like one with air! it would be nice if it lasted a bit longer and broke immobalize!

Had one HELL of a fight against a 10ish FC group that just wouldn’t end at Vale in GoM BLs! Prolly my most fun battle I ever had there :P Altho it took so long apparently some of ours cleaned up our BLs while we were fighting, but very fun stuff!

I was there on my day 1 engi! you guys had so many warriors we didnt know who to focus , it was alot of fun!

This thread is blossoming into something beautiful! I don’t think there’s much I can add except to say our FC forum warriors need to step their game up. I’ll start …. It’s all a matter of perspective, but i’ll tell you right now you guys think you lack numbers because all of your pugs are blobbed up on a commander tag somewhere, transferring between maps in a huge mass.

Take EB out of the picture, because we all know that’s just a pug’s playground for SM.

I’m talking about in the borderlands. In our TS, multiple commanders communicate and over the entire weekend one borderland would be relatively calm, minus a few havoc groups messin’ with our towers.

And then BOOM huge FC zerg out of no where. A massive pug zerg at that.

I’m not denying that HoD has more fair weathers than you guys, believe me. What i’m saying is, our numbers are actually quite similar just spread out differently.

During prime time its a pretty competitive match; and a lot of fun. There was a time when FC would get absolutely run over, not anymore and it’s a pleasant surprise.

Funny how this guild uses words that they probably don’t even understand like 2v2’s-5v5’s since all they do is run back to their spawn camp when they have an equal fight or if they r losing which is always hence the running away from their part FC has a lot of respect from all of HoD and Kain for their great numbers they have been putting out and the great fights but I gotta say they r better off without this guild if they want to move forward into the ranks they really give u a bad name gl out there HoD and FC look forward to more fights! ^^

im not saying focus is completely horrible at all though, im saying dagger is much better, and that focus should be brought up to par with dagger. focus can be useful in 1v1’s but unfortunately, spvp AND wvw do NOT comprise of mainly 1v1’s. focus lacks some much needed team play skills

Fun fights so far. But seriously, every LV. 80 Mesmer/Engi I’ve came across runs a perplexity rune condition build. It’s hard enough to fight you guys as it is, but adding the runes just makes it that much more difficult.

As for one with air, it makes you run like your out of combat with swiftness ( also ignores cripple and chill) and with fresh air you can get it every 5 seconds or so. that 1.5 seconds may not seem like much but its enough to build a comfortable gap against other classes … also when you attune to air you get a lightning strike and number 2 and 3 on scepter are instance cast bursts that you can use while running away and kiting so they work nice together your other big damage comes from the fire skills pheonix and firegrab they are both important to land and dragons tooth is great for area denial or dropping on downed players … it takes a while to adjust to if your used to d/d but i think its much more fun and rewarding to play … good thieves that you would normally destroy with d/d can give you some trouble but one with air and traveler runes help alot with that.

KN is too kitten to hit HoD ironically if they would this match would be close. Week 6 HoD/FC/SF is the real championship match.

This would have been way more interesting. No one from any server will stray from the zerg, if i catch a HoD or KN player wander a bit from his zerg, he wps or runs at full speed. This match is boring, Kn is a kitten who won’t defend any of its stuff or EB for that matter. HoD is dominating Kn and taking its stuff, while Kn comes to our Bl instead of taking care of their own stuff. Atleast SF would have given HoD a fair fight. Lets not forget that SF would turn on us for PPT though lol.

i love this trait … its amazing with staff and s/d, it makes it quite easy to kite people around add traveler runes to the mix and its much easier to fight outnumbered with fresh air builds …. if only RTL was affected by this i would be a very happy boy

We got rolled by HoD on reset too…. Im sure Kaineng knows to focus them if they want to win this fancy bronze league stuff #tagteam make it happen
