Every server had/has people that wrongly accuse others of cheating/hacking, my own included. When they claim to have proof but refuse to post it, it becomes very difficult to take them seriously. By denying this, you simply show your ignorance

Lol, this while we were taking hills with ~7 (estimate from someone who was there). I count 8 here for 2-4 of us, varied between the two for the duration of the cap.

Interesting fights last night in ioj BL against [xoxo] thieves and other random thieves. Not sure if you are doing something 3rd party wise, but there is no reason for a 5v3 for me to be getting skill delay. Every instance where I came into range of the [xoxo] thief my skills would lag. And I only ever get skill delays at SM and that’s even rare for me.

I just wanted to let you know that we have looked into this accusation and have hypothesized on what might have happened with your skill delay. They are as follows:
a) The blood flow decreased from your brain causing the skills to appear “laggy.” This tends to occur when you talk out of your kitten and make accusations.
b) You are a bad player.
c) You experienced a very rare “blame the thief because thieves are OP and we killed him” moment.
Sadly, we cannot help you with any of them.

Anyways, I just wanted to let you know that no players in [XOXO] “hack” or abuse any type of plug-in type program or any other bullkitten excuse you can come up with.

I dunno man, I hear if you use any key other than 2 while playing thief, you are hacking.

A furious small man group hopping walls that havent had gates drop in 6 or so hours (So no mesmer could possibly be there) and storming a Lord and taking fully upgraded keeps is totally a gentlemans engagement? In/and around 60 seconds or so?

The only reason DH has a single bit of respect from anyone is not just your population (the few most noted guilds that give us good fights), but that every time someone posts proof here to the other servers….Mods delete the entire posts instead of doing something about it. No one sees it. Until they play against you.

This matchup I haven’t seen the same old crazy AC range DH was notoriously abusing in our past matchups. I don’t know if that’s from Anet doing something about it, or from DH policing up their own servers. Either way. It’s great to no longer see it. But the third party stuff needs a fix. It’s happened more than once this match. And I’m sure any form of proof has been forwarded off to where it needs to be sent.

If we don’t handle it amongst ourselves we’re going to end up with some 3rd party false-positive ban hammering nonsense like Punkbuster.

If you know people are doing it, report them. No matter what server they’re on.

Aside from that minor rant, that probably wont be here the next time I check the forums, it’s been a heck of a match. Loads of fun. Even more fun than when DR was here instead of NSP. But IoJ smashed them into third proper like not too long ago. NSP you guys are a respectable opponent. Good games so far, best of luck until friday.

An entire server isn’t to blame for the actions of a few. But it’d be cool if we could all enter match ups knowing it was based on skills alone. Not downloaded assistance if you will.

I can empathize with you here. While I haven’t noticed any of the third party hacks (I’m usually lagging anyway thanks to my bad internet), I am quite suspicious that there are some players in this match up using Modified Twilight hacks. Unfortunately, I have not gathered any evidence myself, but will do so next time I see anything suspicious.

Back in the DH/GoM/NSP matchup, a group of XOXO took our north camp and proceeded to build a treb to fire on the power orbs. I popped out of the doorway to citadel to say hi, but being alone, I couldn’t hope to take back the camp. A female norn (guard, I think?) walked over to me and started dancing. I moved away from the doorway and bowed to her, hoping to get a fight. She took off her pants and kept dancing. I bowed again. It was about this time that two of her thief friends jumped me from behind.

I can confirm this. Most of my /waves and /bows at XOXO end up with me getting chased halfway across a map by a whole group of XOXO/SPCA/tM while getting whispered, “Come back! We want to give you HUGS!”

More than numbers is round the week coverage. They have that. DR and NSP do not. Definitely has been fun as hell matching up against you guys though! Hope to see you both again soon with these semi-random matches. Easily the most roaming/small man friendly match I’ve been in for a while. Every server has their share of bad players , but I’ve seen a lot of people willing to randomly duel as well as good fights for small numbers this entire match up. It has been fun, everyone.

Ok I should have said it better..But majority of gom are bad in pvp..ive seen some good ones also. Point I was trying to make was during tkitten no seige bug, Gom kept getting whiped everywhere. Now that seige is back…they r back to trebbing Anz 24/7, trebbing our keep or using golems which fail everytime cause they dont bother to take out oil.

To gom: Dont rely heavily on seige…maybe this is why you are one of the low servers.

1) Seige is a huge part of WvW. In fact, one could argue the entire mode was based around seige. You’re supposed to use it heavily.

2) “maybe this is why you are one of the low servers” – Not sure if you noticed, but we’re all in the same tier here.

3) There are quite a few reasons we’re in one of the lower tiers, but the use of seige is definitely not one of them. I’m not going to get into details, but what a ridiculous statement.

4) From what I’ve seen we have just as many good pvpers out there as any of the other servers we’ve fought. Making blanket statements about the skill level of a server’s players is both incredibly subjective and impossible to prove, but you can believe whatever you like.

I tried this once with a party member. Those kitten doors are OP. After a few minutes, I threw a treb down right in front of the gate, figuring it’d do max damage at point blank range. Sadly, the build spot was destroyed by the time we got back with more supply. Finally, we threw a flame ram in front of the wall to see if it was as OP as the gate, but by then people had shown up and killed us while we were trying to build it! PvDoor is really, really hard.

I have a screen shot of genius flame ram placement on my desktop at home, but sadly did not get shots of the auto attacking or the treb.

I didn’t think XOXO took towers but this mornin I saw the SPCA/tM/XOXO trifecta holdin Lake tower on Gates of Madness. Blew my mind and totally killed me =(

Can confirm some amazing strategies. For example I’ve seen the power of the XOXO wall rams with my own eyes and have been practicing it since. Sadly I have not been able to master it.

Neither of these screenshots was edited in any way shape or form. I really think that Anet needs to work on its manners, the battle log in the second is just downright mean.

If you’ve got like 2 people tryin to ninja a location, maybe do like a cata. You don’t have to worry about guards and you can place it out of sight.

lol, we were just trying to attract attention at first because it was a time of day that the BLs were pretty empty. I then got bored and decided to have a few laughs.

Surprisingly, we do like to actually ninja towers or keeps every once in a while when we need a break from our usual shenanigans or can’t find the PvP action we love so dearly. And the blowing minds part is a big plus to doing so.

So i went with withdraw, needle trap, caltrops, thieves guild and ambush. i managed to kill a sentry, but thats it. Nsp was nice enough to let me duel one of there lowbies that was entertaining i near had him beat when one of there thieves hit me for 16k . not a very productive night but a fun one.

Go unarmed! Caltrops, Scorpion Wire, Shadowstep, and then Mug + whatever you steal from opponents.

Withdraw + Caltrops + Ambush + shadowstep + thieve’s guild. No weapons, no stealth. Run around dodging, laughing, and hoping your thieves are enough to get the job done.

Quite the contrary. It just means you’re playing WvW on hard mode now. Under-powered weapon set that requires target lock, no AoE damage skills, no access to stealth for easy fight resets.

Quite the contrary. It just means you’re playing WvW on hard mode now. Under-powered weapon set that requires target lock, no AoE damage skills, no access to stealth for easy fight resets.

Actually, Zumi, we have a number of long time members who /laugh /dance /whatever. We haven’t ever had a policy of telling people not to do that.

A good 80% of thieves are bad. A couple dodges or a teleport and a heart seeker spammer is a sitting duck. If you are paying attention it isn’t too hard to break their burst (make sure to have a stun break), then down them when they run out of initiative, as the spammers always do. That said, I’ve definitely died to them a few times, but most times it’s been me not paying attention.

Spammers are pretty much always very glassy. Hit them with a blade of grass and they die.

There is way too much drama in this thread. Anyways, fun fights last night with SPCA, XOXO, and SPLT in the ruins. I finally got to witness Kevin getting spiked. Too bad we lost pretty much every other fight. Was fun anyway! I like the comment Kevin made about fight cubs turning red name tags into people. That’s deep man. Cheers all!

Yeah I enjoy reading them too, you guys are all good in the hood to me….My favorites are those that get mad at me thinking I am getting mad at them….SF really is full of a bunch of good ole folks that have a good time, although we do get sandy kitten over the: “numbers” talk…only because we have heard it so very much….

Was a fun duel to watch. To be honest my spec and build are really bad for small groups, 1v1-5v5. Or else I would have tried to duel you. Our zerg gets pretty big when randoms start following us, but we like to look for the most action and so do they.

Maybe, in the future we can have a drink of tea, chat, then rip each other apart.

Real time with Verras! Okay, SF does have a lot of numbers, no denying that. Are we skill-less? No, we do have a lot of people under leveled who enjoy WvW and want to roll with a commander, whatever it’s their way of having fun. Also, due to these numbers many of us level 80, I know in PVP especially are geared and skills are slotted for zerg combat and thus we do not do enough damage in 1v1 to 5v5 (we like fighting groups with larger numbers than us).

So, many of us are still working on getting another set for a roam build. Some of us do respect 1v1s, I seen an XOXO thief fighting an ele 1v1 and I let it be until our ele went down then I interfered and chased the thief off (not going to let my teammate get finished 1v1 or not). It’s all about playstyle, XOXO likes to duel and have small skirmishes, to be honest you’re more likely to find those in NSP borderlands. When I’m running around by myself I usually take a few supply camps and enemies will naturally come to you.

VLK we had a nice 5v5(?) in EB jump puzzle in the dark room. I got lost so many times! Was a blast, we haven’t got a chance to face your guild yet but are looking forward to it. LK can really put out the numbers same with the Os guild. Many good fights were had with Os and LK. Also, that Os commander that jumps off the wall and stomps on the rams, I despise you so, it was an annoying tactic that stalled us.

Hope to see more fights on the battlefield.

That was me. Thank you for waiting (I wasn’t going to spike him, as it was an actual duel and not a random 1v1). You shoulda dueled after rezzing…I always look to duel more Necros; haven’t done it nearly often enough.

Surprisingly our duel only got broken by one random group of two. We really did chose a pretty poor place to have one haha. Btw, before we fought, I was watching your zerg leave the tower and all I have to say is: impressive. I wasn’t sure if that thing was ever going to end.
