Messaging you now. In case you lose the site, it’s http://www.Vicarious.enjin.com/
Excellent. Glad to hear it! If you haven’t already, go ahead and head over to our website at http://www.Vicarious.enjin.com/ and click “Enlist Here!”. We’ll check ya out, and if we agree that you’d like us, we’ll help ya get set up the rest of the way!
We’re on the Blackgate server. I didn’t bother posting that, as I didn’t want that to be a discouragement for joining. We’ll gladly pay your server transfer cost if you’re willing to fight with us!
Hey Daemina,
I’m Foop, one of the Dukes of the guild Vicarious. Vicarious is on the Blackgate server, but if you’d be willing to make the switch, we would be happy with helping pay for your server transfer cost for you. Vicarious is a smaller guild with a strong emphasis on getting to know the people that we’re playing with. We like playing with “friends, not gamers”. We ensure that each of our members remain active and login fairly regularly, but at the same time, we are very casual. We have dedicated leaders in the guild to lead us in WvW, PvE, and SPvP, and in time you too can become a leader if you so desire.
We do use mumble. It is required to join, and expected for each of our members to use regularly. If you think Vicarious is something you might be interested in, check out our website at http://www.Vicarious.enjin.com/ and click “Enlist Here!”. Once you receive your registration to join, we’ll go ahead and contact you back as soon as possible. I look forward to meeting you in mumble and playing with you in game soon!

Duke of Vicarious
Hey PT,
Vicarious is a guild that sounds exactly like what you are looking for. We aren’t your average guild with a bunch of random people that you don’t know. We concentrate on making sure we only accept people that are actually interested in playing with us. You don’t have to be the best player, and don’t expect you to be. We only expect you to login fairly regularly (real life always comes first of course) and join us on mumble when you are in game. We’re on the Blackgate server, but we’d even be willing to pay for your transfer cost if you think that will be a problem.
If you think Vicarious might be right for you, feel free to check out our website at http://www.Vicarious.enjin.com/ and click “Enlist Here!”. Once we receive your registration, we’ll contact as soon as we are able!
If you have any questions about why we’re the right guild for you, feel free to pm me, mail me in game, or even just respond here and I’ll get back to you as soon as I am able.
I really look forward to hearing you in mumble, getting to know you, and seeing you in game very soon!

Duke of Vicarious
Hey Tim,
My name’s Foop. I represent the guild Vicarious. Vicarious has been around long before the launch of Guild Wars 2, but dedicated ourselves to being a Guild Wars 2 guild once it was released. Our main priority in Vicarious is ensuring that we’re playing with friends, not just gamers. After reading your story on losing some online friends, but really wanting to get to know the people that you’re playing with, I honestly believe that Vicarious might be the right guild for you. We’re a smaller guild, but like to get to know each of our members well.
We’ve just recently opened our doors up to new members again, so if you are thinking about joining, this would be the perfect time! We use mumble to communicate, and expect to see each of our members on a fairly regular basis.
Feel free to check out our website at http://www.vicarious.enjin.com/ and click “Enlist Here!” if you think you might like to join us. Additionally, feel free to send me a PM, reply to this post, or even mail me in game if you have any questions first. I’d be glad to help answer them for you!
Really looking forward to hearing you on mumble, getting to know you, and playing with you in game!
Hello all! Vicarious is a Guild Wars 2 guild that has been around for quite some time now. We’re intentionally a smaller guild, allowing us to get to know each of members better and to make friends while playing, not just gamers. We level together in PvE, run instances regularly such as dungeons and fractals, fight alongside each other in WvW, and are in the process of reorganizing a competitive SPvP team as well. No matter what you’re looking for in Guild Wars 2, Vicarious has you covered.
We use mumble to communicate with each other (Mumble is similar to TeamSpeak or Vent for those not familiar). Mumble is required to have, and we’ll expect all of our members to be active regularly. We aren’t an elitist group by any means, but we do expect to see our friends more than once a week. If you think you might be interested in joining us, feel free to visit our website at http://www.Vicarious-Gaming.com
Once on our website, go ahead and click the “Enlist Here” page and register to join us! We’ll contact you once we received your registration. See you in game!

Staff is fine. Played as a guardian and only a guardian nearly every day multiple hours a day since the game was released. Staff is my favorite weapon to date. Empower is a very strong skill. Being able to use it and move would be op. Arenanet hit the nail on the head with staff like many other things.
If anything I’d say staff is closer to op than underpowered. Just because you personally don’t know how to use it, doesn’t make it weak.
People are too quick to blame the game…. you very much can play as a selfish guardian and it’s still balanced. Look around, experiment, and try things out a bit. Monk’s focus IS a grandmaster trait for valor and is very selfish. I really don’t know what more it is you’re looking for.
Then quit complaining and go talk with support.
I agree with the OP. I love Guild Wars as much as the next person, but I found myself wondering the same thing. If Guild Wars is about cosmetics, why do I catch myself recognizing every single piece of armor I see on everybody?
Tired of playing Guild Wars all alone? Come realize what you’ve been missing, a family, a community, a group of friends, a guild!
Vicarious is a group of mixed gamers, but all with the same intent. We’re here to have fun, make friends and enjoy our gaming experience. In Vicarious, you’ll find hardcore players, and newbies just joining the game looking for help. You’ll find those that love wvw or pvp, as well as those who enjoy levelling in pve or live for the thrill of teamwork in dungeons. Some who enjoy rp, while others just don’t quite get it. We’ve got ages spanning all over, going from older teens to old decrepit people ;P. The difference in Vicarious is that we aren’t just voices, we’re family.
So regardless of what you know about Guild Wars, elitist, hardcore, casual, or newbie; whether you’re a young thang or an old fart; serious and proper or lesser so, Vicarious is looking to add you to the family!
And we don’t just say it either, we play together whenever we’re on! Don’t believe us? Come stop by and see for yourself! If you find that we AREN’T what we claim to be here, we will help you find the guild that’s right for you!
So what are you waiting for? Stop reading these boring words and come stop by!

In response to awe extender, you don’t HAVE to join that type of guild. Some people enjoy very large guilds while others, such as you and I, enjoy getting to know our guild members better. That doesn’t make everyone else wrong. I certainly don’t think there should be any limit to guild size.
As far as max guilds per character, I agree there should be a limit. Personally I find it silly that you can “join” more than one. I want my members to be loyal, yet I have no way to enforce it.
Thanks for the bump.
Also forgot to mention the obvious. This is a guardian trait in the Honor tree I believe it is in the Grandmaster Column. That’s just off memory, might not be dead on, but I do know there definitely is a problem here and hope it’s patched up soon.
After doing a LOT and I do mean a lot of research on this before deciding to post (as I know how busy you woderful ANET peeps must be) I’ve come to the conclusion that perhaps after this last patch Perfect Inscriptions simply has no effect on signets anymore. I’ve done testing with multiple signets, namely the Base and Mercy Signets to test, and see absolutely no difference.
I’ll use the Base Signet as an example:
No Signet + No Perfect Inscriptions = 1,246 Power
Signet Equipped + No Perfect Inscriptions = 1,336 Power
Signet Equipped + Perfect Inscriptions Traited = 1,336 Power still
Yeah I know my power sucks. Not the point though. It seems to be like this for all signets. From previous research it seems this isn’t this first time this skill has been bugged, assuming it was ever fixed.
Basically, I’m posting in hopes that this will either bring this to ANET attention, or at least get some sort of explanation as to what the deal is here.
I do appreciate your time and effort put into this overall great game. Thanks ANET.
If you play GUILD Wars without a guild, you really are missing well over half the game. If I were playing this alone, I’d have put a maybe 200 hours into it and found a better single player game, but when playing with real friends, there is a near endless amount you can do. Guild Wars is a great community game. Don’t play alone.
