Guild Wars 2

From the time we’ve spent on Kaineng, we enjoy the organization.

First, you have TL/RUN and other ex-IoJ guilds running red map at the moment. We claimed the entire map within 10 hours against CD. Call it revenge, or whatever, it was glorious.

Then you have NEO alliance running in Kaineng BL. They did well at reset too, and certainly deserve some praise. They have also done a great job of maintaining that BL. While initially they did not gain as much territory as fast as TL or other maps, they have held it the best over a longer period of time IMO.

WM and some of their friendly guilds control EB, and do rather well. Their advantage is clear during the oceanic time zones, although they had some trouble initially holding SM and various towers in EB. They have since dominated.

I have no idea who was “assigned” to green at reset/weekend, but they didnt do too too hot until other guilds came in to help.

Answer to question: Is Kaineng a good WvW server? Will you enjoy the quality of guilds here? Yes. Best? We will see.

It’s amazing so many people are dismissing Kain as a contender so easily. So many bitter people in here.

Give them their space. WM, TL, CO, RUN, and NEO/others have something else coming to them.

In a few weeks when Kaineng is well on it’s way past these tiers, people will wonder where the heck we came from and who is organizing everything.

And we will smile. Until then, “talk” means nothing in these forums. Action and results makes up the only language here.

Should also note if your an elementalist, and go into mist form or w/e while downed, you can alt+f4/logout without dying in-game.

Good fights all around. We had a good time thrashing CD around in their borderlands. Some AoN guild was a royal pain in the kitten #8230; but we have plans for them.

All I want to say is TL has been having a blast testing new strategies and meeting new enemies on the battlefield. CD certainly takes some thought as they always run superior numbers, but FA are the real gems – we typically find very dedicated strike groups that always provide a thorn in our sides.

Is Team Legacy still with IOJ?

Yes.

Removing this fix would be a major step in the wrong direction. Although it is temporary, it is still a major improvement over the previous culling iteration.

TL has not joined this alliance. I know nothing about this.

Guild Wars 2

That said, we want to remind everyone that we have opened recruitment again for Guild Wars 2, this time focusing less on the extreme hardcore aspects and more on the “fun factor” of WvW and the game. If you did not apply earlier due to either being overwhelmed or a bit put off about how hardcore we seemed, we suggest giving us another shot . We have streamlined the recruiting and training process to allow for a smoother transition. Obviously the biggest things everyone is talking about is how much fun we’re making WvW to be. We invite you to run a few WvW nights with us to see for yourself — we’re certainly not your typical WvW guild

Planetside 2

It’s official! If you were wanting to play Planetside 2 with an awesome group focused on epic aerial invasion-style tactics, then we may have a spot for you. We have one goal in mind with Planetside 2, go in fast, make the experience amazing, and make it cinematic. TL came in at our scheduled time, took Stonemist shortly after, and have been holding it against awesome opposition ever since. We’ve been holding for about… heck 6 hours now, and our numbers are dwindling to the morning coming.

Special thanks to JQ for being super aggressive. You guys will likely take it back after we’re gone, but we will see you guys tomorrow night

A Short History
Our Focus

TeamLegacy was originally established in early August 2010 as a TeamLiquid community member offshoot. TeamLiquid.net is the prime website for Starcraft and Starcraft 2 outside of Korea and a haven for competitive hardcore gamers. Together with a few friends, we have flourished and become very active. Our community continues to grow and interact with each other through various methods: playing games together, chatting on teamspeak, and through guild meetings. As a result of this, we have begun to see ourselves differently: we don’t see ourselves as a group of randoms who have come together for a greater goal; we see ourselves as a community of gamers. Most of us have gamed our entire lives, many even at a professional level, and now we’ve come together to create a haven where we all are encouraged to think freely and interact with others who share our passions. We are a community of kindred spirits; we are a team.

Legacy’s main focus is to provide a haven for philosophers and theorycrafters to have open, intelligent debates and discussions on game-mechanics, playstyles and top-level strategies; then utilize that information to become the best at competitive content. We want to avoid the standard cliques and drama of most large guilds, and maintain a helpful, positive, open minded environment where nobody feels as though they can not talk to another member based on social status within the guild, and we feel allowing everyone an equal voice is a great way to establish that environment.

Our leaders and current members have top level experience in games such as Warhammer, Team Fortress 2, Guild Wars 1, Starcraft and WoW. Using leadership and strategies learned from these games we plan on leading the guild to greatness. We currently have over 150 interested members from these games and more. Our Team Speak is the highly active, and we are full of spirit.

Our vision for ourselves is to combine the dedication, experience, theorycrafting ability, high performance and expertise of hardcore guilds with the fun-factor and silliness of casual guilds in order to gain fame and honor. We don’t want to be “that guild” where everyone fears making a mistake; but on the flip side of that coin, we currently see ourselves as a guild that will be competing in the upper-echelons of PvP. We fully expect that everyone will inevitably come to know and respect the name Team Legacy, and we understand how bold that statement is.

We also strive to create a friendly environment for all members, not just the competitive group. Team Legacy and its offshoots plan to get together to do weekly world PvP and PvE events, involving all aspects of the community. The PvP events will give the less serious players an opportunity to learn from the more experienced.

As far as other guilds, and their governing entities, are concerned: if you’re interested in developing a higher competitive atmosphere with us, or simply wish to know more about our upcoming ideas that we could work together to make realities, give us a shout as well. We’re no strangers to the pro scenes in professional gaming, be it sponsored tournaments or highly-publicized casted events. We’d love to be able to work in tandem to make these ideas come true. Obviously there is a lot to be heard from ArenaNet on this front first, but working out the basic structures won’t hurt at all. This isn’t our first rodeo.

Competitive Tournament Team

We will be sponsoring a few competitive arena teams for Guild Wars 2. Many of our members who have joined have no other ambition except to excel in structured pvp, and will play exclusively as such. Although we run a persistent five night a week raid, we give priority to those members who wish to compete as well. If your’re aiming to make a name in the realm of eSports, we can help make that happen.

What is Tales of Tyria?

Tales of Tyria is a podcast covering the Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game (MMORPG) Guild Wars 2. Each show is usually composed of at least 3 segments (see below) in which the hosts describe/discuss/speculate on various aspects of the game and it’s community. The show’s format will change from week to week to suit the discussion. If you have any comments, questions, or criticisms, please feel free to email us: feedback@talesoftyria.com

Show Segments
Each show is typically comprised of at least 3 seperate segemnts, and although some appear in most episodes (like news) there is no strict rotation. We have a set of segments we will be using for the shows before the game comes out (pre-release) and another set of segments to add/replace those once the game is playable.

Pre-Release Segments
News – We reveal and discuss any relevent news to the game’s development.
Storytime – A short segment where we share great GW2 stories from our hosts or our audience. If you have a story to share, send it to us at our feedback email.
Bridger Rant – A short, passionate, and loud proclaimation about whatever is making Bridger angry this week.
Mailbag – Q&A from you, the listener! Send us your topics/questions to feedback@talesoftyria.com
Roundtable – We examine any interesting questions/topics and discuss them in depth. Often this will be an examination of a recent controversy, or a strategy discussion about a specific aspect of the game (Warrior Builds, for example).
Table Scraps – Smaller topics that don’t warrent a full roundtable topic, but are still worth talking about.
