They both drop from Events in LA. Not a lot but thats totally fine. This is great! U dont have to travel around like a mainaic to go to bossfights or nececarily do WvW or Dungs/fracs to get them!
But this is temporary content. At least u have figured a smart way to get them apart from the “old” ways. I’m pretty sure we’ll see more similar to this in the future

Why do they Always have to Remove the charr HORNS!??? And the Tail clipping… why ALWAYS tail clipping on Gem armours… The reason I dont buy them is ONLY because they dont fit properly on charr… with clipping, horn and ear removal etc… and I’m probably not alone.

I’m a Charr Female Ranger. Me and my sisters share the same thoufhts about humans. I’m suspicious with Humans I dont know, be it leaders, citicens or heroes….. They have to prove trustworthy Before I can relax around them. I have a bunch of humans in our Guild that I trust and that I would sacrifice a lot to save in case it would be needed.
Humans still have a Little too much of “we’re the superior race over all” kind of thinking… apart fro some other wiered traditions. But at leas they have agreed on fighting alongside with us… U gotta see that as a big step in the right direction. Pyre had a great deal in making the Alliance with humans possible at all. He sacrificed a lot for us and will Always be remembered for what he did for the warbands comming after him – he Believed in something!!!
We still live! Female Charr are allowed to take part in battle! Our race is proud and stronge even though we still are scarred From the past. We Barely survived. Because of that reason, we are quite few today. But Close doesnt cont!

Has recently become VISIBLE over MY own character. Plz make it the way it was Before…. Bug or intendent… Doesnt matter. I dont want to see my own tag.

Water map.
In the beginning u fight some Krait to free prisoners. Those Krait has a tendency to end up INSIDE the Cave cieling making them hard or impossible to hit. And the Cages wont open unless all are killed… Picture below… The Krait in the Picture is compleatly inside the cieling. My pet is there too… and only condition dmg can affect it when its there… Everything else is “obstructed”
Worms and other killed creatures…
In random maps
Sometimes killed creatures dont go away (sometimes ahlf a minute) after thay are being illed… These Worms in the Picture gets a strange animation bug; tehy stay up and twist their jaws in a freaky way… (too bad I dont ahve a video of this)….
None of the standing Worms in the Picture is alive. The left one has the wiered animation bug going on…
Plz fix this… Wasnt like this a while ago.

When this bird screeches the beak gets a wiered texture bug. Thats the only reaso I dont use it. Looks ugly.
I totally support u Op. Female Charr Gets male versions on all gear… Having a Ranger leves me with VERY few good looking options… Thank god the ascended looks good on charr. But apart from that I’v only found 1 set!!!
And then we have all the clipping and tent looking stretching many of the coats offer…. Same with many of the head pieces. Especially as they fit poorly onto the new female faces and the wiered neck shape the faces bring…
I have also had a number of crashes(Errors) since that Patch… have happened everywhere… in events, on exit, in LA… etc.. Sometimes the Error freezes my intire computer making me have to shut it down and restart all together.
My BF that sits behind me when we play havnt got these issues…

By now I’va started to “bond” with my main pretty well and it has become like an ongoing Saga that I (as a gamer) affect… I follow her, support her and help guide her throughout all the advventure and threats that she runs into. This will make her come even more alive…

- The new face that has no “Eye brow horns” or the Lynx look…
When u do “/Kneel” o she pulls her lip so far when breathing so that the teeth becomes detached…. (Picture). The movement of the new faces mouths during speech is somewhet overdone in some cases in cut scenes… looks wiered.
- The wiered/buggy neck shape with the new female faces causes many head gears to appear in a wiered way.. either they clip, hover or do both… Ascended medium helm clips when the character is turning its head (no Picture) helm
Here is an exampe on T2 cultural for charr. (Picture)
- Charr T3 light cultural armour. It have been said Before… Its a CHARR armour and should be made to fit the race as such…. Clipping tail! (Picture)
OP, I totally support u and like the way u run dungeons – I do it in the same way. Doing it the non-stacking, non skipping way makes it a great, almost Indiana Jones like adventure with lots of fun! Using TS on top of that adds to the fun!!!

and it says “Personal reward lvl: xx”
My experience is that this scaling doesnt work…
When I do low lvl fractals i get – low lvl rewards…
When I do high lvl ones there is a noticable difference!!!
I’m not talking about the ascended mats here, not the number of empyrial shards or relics, or the end chest wich I can understand not scale…
but what is it that scale? Not even the “ordinary” drops it seems to scale to me… NOTHING seems to scale when it comes to rewards…

Nope, its not fixed… just checked….. The neck still has a pointy shape if u have no hair or use headgear that remover hair.
I also get the gap u’re speaking of, but only when my character looks around (Using ascended medium helm)
Doesnt agree… Thatmeans I can only use ONE pet if i want chilling…. Dont forget that the pets have more than the f2 skill to offer. Some of the effects could be added to the “other” skills. That would be something.
It would also be nice if pets had DMG reduction for some things… like polar bears take less chill dmg etc.

I have some very basic suggestions on pet Changes that I feel should have been in game since launch…
These are the suggestions for already existing pets. Then of course I wish to be able to tame more pets in the future but that’s a different discussion.
- Suggestion for the F-Keys:
F1. “Attack” + “Return”; The pet attacksthe target u attack. the same way it works today. When pressed again it comes back to u and stays passive untill u order it to do something different. It wont attack anything that attacks u when in this mode.
F2. “Special skill”; Working as today but The timing of the fiering and the hit-ability needs to be looked over as the pet tends to miss a lot as it works today.
F3. “Defend” + “Guard”(maybe find Another name for Guard as a skill already has this name): Defend = the pet attacks whatever comes too Close to u within a radius of 600. “Guard” = The pet defends a targeted Ally (in the same way as Defend") that stays within pet range from u. If the ally wanders out of pet range the pet goes into “defend” mode instead. The mode stays Active until any other order is given.
F4. “Hide” + “Summon”; “Hide” = stowing, Works like todays stowing with the difference that the pet only comes out if u are attacked (by something attackable by the pet) going into “attack” mode. Not if u take falling damage. “Summon” = unstowing u’r pet. When this is done it automaticly ends up in passive/return mode and wait for further orders from u.
- It should be possible to see what skills the pet u have chosen, have when u hover the cursor over its portrait in the F-button-menu. Similar to the way its shown in the (K) panel, but without all the stat numbers.
- It should be possible to see what boons/conditions u’r pet suffer from. Either make it like a somewhat smaller party member icon in the left upper corner or Place the information over the pets F-keys. Parhaps the conditions/boons could show when u hover over the F-skills, saving the screen from unnecesary clutter when not wanted. (so that u dont have to search for the pet all over the screen in a mob in order to find and target it)
- Make it optional to hide/show u’r pets name+guild tag. I still have the blue “edges” that shows that it’s u’rs… Apart from that it loosk betetr IMO and reduces clutter info ist helpful in dungeons/instances etc not, to have it showing all the time.
- The (K) panel often pop on Rally/rez, plz remove that bug.
- In the (K) panel where u choose pet, plz make the portraits show the correct pet and sort them by pet type – easier to find what u’re actually looking for when u change pet.
- Plz make pets remember their names. It would make me use more different pets/change pet more often according to situation demands. I don’t Think I’m the only one… Annoying Little detail it is.
- The F2…. Either it fires instantly, causing miss (pet is not at target), not at all, or on contach with enemy. I Think the last one is the best in many cases – on contact. Its not uncommon though that it fires in the wrong direction etc… Pet AoE skills, such as howls could be fired instantly though… same goes for ranged attacks… Moas are tricky as they have both buffing and offensive skills (different target Groups). Maybe they should have AoE instead of cone attack and fire instantly like howls… The animations probably have to be faster in general (both atack and novement – even movement speed a bit) and the pets can probably not rely on the same system as the rest of the Tyrian creatures…. I’m not a programmer but I Think that would solve some problems even if it takes loads of work.
- Underwater, the drake attacks often miss when they fire instantly instead of “on target”… I dont know much about bears and felines underwater as I don’t use them that much… (A “realistic- thing” to me).
- I still get the “Charm” option if i get Close to somebody elses black widow spider, wich is the only pet I dont have (happens to any pet that is not yet tamed by a ranger). Make this annoying bug go away plz…
- Pets that create Poison, chill , fire etc… could have resistance to the same element that they use for dmg. For example; a polar bear, White wolf or an owl could be resistant to chill.
- U can hit all yellow targets. Why cannot the pet do the same even if I order it to? It can only hit SOME of the existing yellow targets. Gates etc is it often simply refusing to touch.
- Make the taming process more interesting. It could be a un-armed fight with the pet u’re about to tame down to 10% Health Before it agrees to come with u. When u engage the “tame” option u get un-armed and have a set of skills special for the taming process. Bypassers cannot interact in any other way than cast healing skills upon u. If the pet is in a high lvl area and u are low lvl compared to the area – prepare for one tough fight.
This would make me so happy!

Agree with that the 3 first kills really need rework (never see lvl 80 rangers use axes.) We do however have a whirling defense already. That is currently the best Axe skill imo….

Shortbow
- I quite often get stuck and cannot move while using the shortbow. Its not a skill cast upon me. It just happens. If I switch to longbow it stays. The easiest way to break this is either to use SB skill #3, or wait for a quite long time. Its not unusual that u’r SB skill 3 is on CD and u’ll have to stand waiting (fending off whatever tries to eat u alive or slash u to pieces)… sometimes having a mob comming getting u meanwhile.
- Also the SB #3. doesnt work all the timesd. It doesnt Always make u jump backwards at all. (even here without being affacted by any skills) U simply end up standing where u fired the skill.
- Quite often the SB #3 graphic is jerky. U cast the skill (still unaffected by enemy skills), u see no movment untill all of a sudden “POFF” u jerk away a bit (not jumping but rather appearing a bit away).
Longbow
- Longbow skill #4 Doesn’t Always push things away at all (things that are not immune to this/have stability).
- Sometimes enemies poof right back in ur face after that u have pushed them away as soon as the animation sycle for LB #4 is over.
Orcas (killer whales) would be cool for UW!
Juveniles could be somewhat bigger than Dolphins. But I Think there need to be a new area to implement them.
This is a well known issue and very Little have been made about it (they have been working on it but I have not seen any more progress in quite some time now – wich is sad)…
I reccomend that u post in BUG-report forum for character art etc, with screenshot of the clipping and tell the problem.
But what u mention is not shapeshifting to me… its rather “place-swapping”…. What Norns do is shapeshifting to me.
Oni. That happens when u have the same animals both in water and on land… otherwise not.
Ranger: I’m not an expert on balancing but my feeling of ranger is that they are the “somewhat” good class when it comes to dmg, support, condi…. (ptretty much Everything is medioker) They are not REALLY good at anything, nor compleatly useless either.
What if we could keep the Spirit of nature as is, at least giving us a good ability to heal?
I guess there is a reason we are so unwanted in Dungeons and Fractals (together with necros… forgot any class?)… Sad but true.
I also guess there is a reason ppl mostly want Zerker,Warriors and Guardians in Dungeons and Fractals. Or at least HAVE to have a couple of these in the team.

I agree with Dolphin, but not the ability. Could be something different like a short AoE stun or something (useig echo/sonar). Would be more beliavable.

The rest – having a hard time seeing them as pets.
No pet skins plz, but I would like to have more tamable pets (like Griffons, Raptors, and Dolphins) instead! And pets that evolve wouldnt be bad at all imo…

The clicking could definetly be reduced… at least my inflamatory thumb Think so! The Essence of luck is just pain in the… when it comes to cklicking (together wit a bunch of other things) Whatabout a “use/consume all” option on right klick… for Salvaging, consuming, and using things. Would just take 2 klicks to consume a bunch of luck instead of X hunred klicks a day…
I’m currently on my 2:nd mouse… Due to a GW2 related injury.
I love this game but the sheer ammount of unnesecary klicking is annoying sometimes.
That is not the problem as I see it. The problem for me is that I more or less NEVER get acess to my own home server due to overflow after overflow. That is what makes me not go to the worm right now… I go there 15 min Prior and end up on an overflow with almost no ppl in it. I havnt even been able to set foot at my own server lately on the two maps that have new bosses now. Oh, it have happened twice in Lornars – right AFTER the Marionette. A few mins later its impossible again, if u come from any other map.
The overflow issue on Hight populated Servers really need to be sorted.

Wiered neck shape with new faces.
When u use helms that removes the hair or choose the no hair otion in the makeover kit together with the new faces, the neck get an odd shape that doesnt look very pretty. I have illustrated it with the makeover kit here to get the horns out of the way by making them smaller, so that u can see it better. I discovered this when I previwed armour for my character. Charr have much issues with clipping as is so pls fix this or headgear will make things look even more ugly on charr….
I love my new, Beautiful, face but I don’t want my character to look “broken” during any circumstances… 
Then the portraits on the new faces look odd too… Espacielly The chin and the muzzle get a wiered shape on the mini portraits (as if they were smeared downwards). Thankfully it doesn’t end up looking like the mini-portraits on u’r character.

I totally agree with the Points 1-4, OP. I live on Desolation and havnt been able to even set foot on my home server since the last patch release. It feel like I have no right to be on my own server when new content comes out. Others have right to do so Before me. And No, I dont want to que for hours (maybe even a day or so) in order to get acess to my home server.
“Desolation did it” u can read… Then I feel: “Not me since I won’t be let in onto my own server.” And I guess I’m not the only one having that feeling.
I dont agree with Point 5 though.
When I reached “Human/charr hybrid”…. I stopped Reading. Then I continued just to see what the rest would be like….
No, no human/charr cross breeds plz….. And so far I Think we have enough of elder dragons that have still not awaken.
But I do apriciate u’r attempt to make a cool plot!
To me, these Changes (that I wrote about in the top) would have been there from start. They are just so basic and some of the would actually improve the hitting issue quite a bit as well – th F2 skills and how they are dsigned, wich I mentioned. And I Think they have sto start somewhere..,. Right?
Of course they got to adress the hit-issue as well, as all of u say here. Thats why it is a good thing that u DO leave comments!
Then some of u talk about WvW and PvP. This thread is about PvE (look at the title). Maybe they have to make a slight split in functions between PvE and WvW/PvP or the pet and ranger is risking getting OP in the man-to-man fights? Others probably know that far better than I do. Personaly I do mostly PvE and know very Little about the pet-issues in WvW/PvP. The only things I know is what I’ve Heard from others, and I want to know from trying/experiencing it myself if I’m about to say anything about it. Thats why I leave WvW/PvP out here.
@ Peter Thomas…. Dont agree with u. Thats part of the fun to break the code on how things have to be done, to figure that out!
And its not that hard to fugure out – participate and see what happens. Also look around, there is Equipment around for specific use…
This doesnt mean its easy. Even if u know what to do its not sure its going to be easy….
The later parts of this story arc have made me like the story content more than I did a while ago. It’s making me curious, interested and wanting to see what comes next. I have been following it all way, through every realease… And now we start to see what a story should really be like. Its beginning to get that immersive depth now! Me like!!!
