Totally agree on this…. It’s a bit expensive to use a hair style kit to change every time u’d like to match u’r armour/clothing…

I Think many of DietPepsi’s animations will be difficult to create as fallen vary in size a lot… Otherwise I Think animations like that would be totally awsome (i’m a CPR-instructorn IRL – would be cool to have that animation)!

I’m afraid it will end up looking like u’r character is wrapping a wond BESIDE the fallen etc.

I Have 3 Charr’s (My absolute favourite race in this game). Then I decided to roll a different race but same class as one of my Charrs – it turned out to be a Norn Ranger. (I actually wished the charr had some of the norn skills and the closeness to nature in their lore, but thats a different story )

Now I have sadly made this descovery as I have been into the norn (very human-like race in behaviour if u ask me) a bit…

The Charr act very human-like, that to me is making them loose mych of the animalistric feeling to them that they should have.

The speach: EVERY single race in tyra speaks PERFECT English. Whatabout if there were accents/dialects and /or somewhet backwords grammar (everyone understands what Yoda says despite wiered grammar)… Some more grunts/growls/purrs etc could be added in lines etc…

The passive movements: Thay stand perfectly still (apart from looking around a bit) when passive. Whatabout adding some animal behaviour here, like sniffing around or scratching or licking a Paw, just moving around more or something…

When exiting water: a charr could make a good shake as they have fur and want to get rid of the water… Would look awsome I Think!

In cut scenes: (face to face dialogues). Iplement the animalistic behaviour here too… the moving, the grunting, the sniffing, scratching etc… as mentioned above.

Small things like this could bring so much more Life to this race!!!

Queen… Have u seen how big things move in this game when they turn etc… It doesnt look very pretty… And Have u thought of the number of ppl moving across places in crowds… It simply wouldnt look good! And there is no use either for them.

And Gummy… I don’t like u’r game really, why I’m not participating!

Whatabout if the ressing was a racial thing. Have really all races learned the same “touching the ground” soert of reviving… (wich is also quite boring)

In the last weeks it became clear to me that certain groups of players are exploiting the high respawn rate of champions to farm massive amounts of gold and items. That behavior probably has an negative effect on the ingame market. But that’s not even the main reason for my posting this. I am really frustrated by the way some of those players are killing the atmosphere on maps like Queensdale and Frostgorge Sound. Constantly flaming and insulting other players because someone dared to kill THEIR champion without them…

I know Anet is not in the least responsible for the behavior of the players but I think some mechanics in GW2 make farming way too easy!

My suggestions to make zerg-farming less worthwhile:

1. If more players are involved in a fight, the champ should become much stronger, so that you cannot just autohit-kill it in less than a minute!

2. Those champions should be able to hit more than five players with their attacks. Either remove that limit completely or make it dynamically adjust to the number of players.

3. The time until champion/event respawn should be much longer!

I hope other ppl will give their suggestions to this problem as well. Please refrain from flaming and stay objective

Another thing… Much of the released comntent seems very modern. I mean VERY modern. Holograms, stereos, the whole SAB thing (for god’s sake – it’a video game!! It doesn’t fi in anywhere!!!), the whole steam punk theme…. Well – some would be fine but most of the things in this game should NOT be modern/high Tech…

Where did the magic go? Those things that u make Dragon tales of… Think of it. I feel that, that is missing a lot in the content… Is it the asuras that bring all modern technology to this World? I play games just to escape our real, modern World for a short while once in a while, plz dont bring every modern thing u can Think of here. I guess next thing would be in-game cell phones (oh, no, terrible thought).

The closest comparison to any Movie that I can compare Tyra to would be Narnia I Think… There is this woah-feeling there… It would be Amazing if some of that feeling could be brought into this game. Some more magic, Amazing creatures and so on…

This thread is awsome! I havnt read EVERYTHING but u have so many good suggestions that I agree with! Maybe it happens that I say similar things again.

Well, Add new areas now ands then Like southsun. BUT – when adding one, make it complete with hearts and map copletion ability (pls add hearts an the ability to map-compleate Southsun). This make u spend more time there. But it doesn’t exklude the ability to develop it further as u have actually done on Southsun.

Short Storys – Let them make into the game! Go speak to someone in a Town who can tell u the story with a cinematic or someting… Perhaps one of u’r family members (where are they btw) are this graet story-teller that keeps u informed while sitting at a camp fire or something… An NPC in u’r home-instance perhaps. Would be lovley. I hate Reading walls of text, but I love taking part of the lore.

Scarlet and other evil forces are creating Alliances… We are looking for ONE ally (lower race of some sort) in the Personal story to defeat Zaithan.
Whatabout finding new allies against the elder dragons as a part of LS/LW? We could explore new areas/go for expeditions to find new races/tribes/etc (Tengu, Fauns,… I guess u can think of plenty here…).
This could be an awsome way to open new areas with hearts and map compleation ability. While meeting the ne potential allies (maybe all are no friendly) we could learn new skills, find new pets for rangers, perhaps we could even learn how to use new weapons from them. With this meetings we could also get ideas to new armour skins etc… Loads of things that are “just put into the game” today could come throught LS.

I also agree on that more of the skins that we earn could be Seved where the Zenith skins and the radiant /hellfire things are. As it is now many of my skinns are just collecting dust in the bank due to being soulbound. Over time u change u’r colors/gear for characters… and it would be nice to be able to pick up some of the skins…

I love when I see yellow starts – instances hat u kan do – THAT to me is LS/LW! U get something to solve, a story that moves forward!

Huge zerging feasts are just a way to get gold/luck. I don’t Count Tequatl as a zerg thing… as u need to cooperate here in an organised way. Tequatl is a very good and well made big scale event I think!
In a zerg there are just many ppl running around shooting at everyting in their path, waiting for drops. Big zergs doesnt feel very LS/LW to me. Its ok if they are arranged to be like in the pavillion. THAT is a place that is good for zergs.

I also find grinding boring. Do this X times to achive X. Find X Dragon teeth…. Set X number of effigies on fire… etc. The halloween doors arn’t that bad though – as different things happen when u open them. That is a bit better than doin EXACTLY the same thing over and over again.

Tha scarlet invasion as it is now (popping up every 4.th hour or so) is also a good thing. Then u can go on a zerg feast once ina while if u like. I do it sometimes but not Always.

Another thing that happens when small portions of content is released is that, that part gets overrun with content-hungry players just devoering it! Maybe realease some bigger patch once in a (greater) while that does not follow the 2 week cycle. The 2 weekers are good too – they keep u occupied with SOMETHING to do if u don’t lvl new character etc. But – there would be one team focusing on bigger releases that we could have like 2-4 times a year or so. Those should be SOLID ones – like minor expansions or something (perhaps even adressing the personal story apart from LS/LW).

4) Improve the Character Creator to be able to create also younger als olso older looking characters and not only such characters, that look like being between 20-25.
The age range for the character creator should go at least between 14-kitten that you could create also riper characters.
This should include also the option to choose the VOICE for your character out of various different voices…

I find it annoying that basically every 2nd to 3rd character around me has exactly the same voice, than my character.

Plus a bunch of more Horns, faces, tattoos, etc…

5) Housing
Simply a must for anx kind of personal RP

10) Marriage Systems allowing for marriages…

13) Pets (Change the Term of Ranger Pets into Ranger Animal Companions)

Leaving a home instance is easy, just click the map where u wanna go.

Goin there though takes two screenloads and one run… Whatabout making it take only one screenload and no running. That would save time for those who loads slowly.

This could be done in two ways.

1. Make an Icon on the map saying “Home” That takes u directly to the home instance for u’r race (costs as a normal map travel depending on distance).

2. make a “portal item” that can be earned from achivements or something, that u keep in u’r inventoru. Using that takes u directly home.

Agree! All 3 of my characters are all Charr. I Love’em!

We are fearsome, huge, intelligent beasts with claws, teeth and horns all over (and perhaps even fleas for those who doesnt groom properly)… what is not to fear? Power combined with grace… And still we can be nice, sensitive and healpful creatures – reaching out a paw to our fellow races in need – even to humans.

1. Griffons as tamable pets.
2. Guild Halls
3. More horns faces etc… (thanks for the new hairs u added recently!)
4. A better working Guild system (last logged on, Guild mail etc – there are many treads on this)
5. More tribal styled armour – Everything new is leaning towards too much high Tech and modern things atm, imo…

Ranger: To be ablte to tame Griffons!

No, not Largos as a playable race if u ask me. They have incredibly ugly apperance… Their wings looks – wrong, imo…

And there are 3 humanoid races in the game already…

I’drather have the Tengu as playable race. There could be so much done with character Creation/customization with them!

I downed him yesterday… (21/10) well organised and populated fight at mid day! I have done so 3 Days in a row now… (Desolation)

Here comes the back of my Tribal armour (preferribly Medium armour). This is the same one as above but wothout the helm. The turtle Shell (shoulder piece) is only on one side (right). Oh, I forgot the warpaint on this one too. Well, the back is covered with a griffo hide, and the tail area is covered with large feathers. That tail tip also have a set of small feathers. Perhaps there could be 2 silk bands here too.

The Lower arm protection is also assymetrical. On the right lower arm the whole arm id pretty much uncovered (see the front Picture). The neck will be left uncovered to leave room for fancy manes. Same thing goes for the back. No spiky things there that will mess with back pieces, Only a hide.

Looks like the Clockwork version of a Charr… Cannot see any fur anywhere…. Awsome piece of art but not my choise of armour. Simply a bit too hight Tech;)

Hi! I hav’nt got a single sylvari character. They are Beautiful though. I’m a charr person all in. But going here once in a while gives me a hint of what might be going on in the costomization area. The Charr forum is very quiet despite me having started 2 threads (one on faces etc and one on armours) that have to deal with the look of the beings.

Kristen, I love the Communication u have with u’r sylvari players and It would be interesting to hear anything like “we are” or “we are not” currently working on more faces/horns for charr, from the charr developers… We know nothing at all in our cilent little charr corner :P It would be SO interesting to know where they get their ideas and inspiration from.

Its so nice to see how u take help from other players to get inspiration! I just love how this very thread works!! It makes me happy to stop by and read and look att all fantastic ideas sometimes

My suggestion for a new class (if any) would be some sort of vampire – ish. Using different skills on day and night. More supportive during day and more offensive during night. A light or medium armor class. maybe having a dire wolf or Bat as a companion at night. Or parhaps become something of a werewolf-ish creature at night, getting a somewhat different, more grim apperance…. Just thinking out loud again….

Weapons could be Staff, short sword, dagger, Cepter, focus, shield, axe…

I don’t want other classes having pets. It’s a Ranger thing! Other classes already have theri things, minions, phantams, holographic weapons etc…

One thing that I DO want back from GW1 is the Menagerie! Just imagine what a Beautiful Place the A-net Team could build! Perhaps it could be acsessible from the home instance?

I Totally agree. The whining is just tragic. I wrote a tread of apriciation on the Ranger forums yestarday and I got totally hammered by others.

I’m main Ranger. I love my class. It does have flaws, as have every class. But every improvement is apriciated, at least by me!

The patch wasn’t 100% perfect (Sick’em could reveal stealthed untargeted enemies imo) but MANY things were improved. AndThat is great! For example pets got about 70% more Health, just to mention one thing! That makes them much more survivable – noticable difference from yesterday!

Bugs Always comes with Changes. Be constructive and A-net will fix it. But I agree, just quit te whining! They don’t deserve it!

I also hoped that “sick’em” could reveal already stealthed creatures despite them not being targeted. A bit annoying yes. It should be an AoE effect to it (no targetting required).

NO, rifle for rangers. I’m no solider – I’m a RANGER. I’d much rather prefer a staff!

Plz make something more interesting out of the taming process… Make it look nice at least (perhaps there is a short scene of catching/gaining the animals trust that takes place when u activate the “tame”). Not just “tame” poof – done!

Plz, make pet manes be saved or remova that thing all together (remove the juvenile once the pet is tamed). The current system get me killed because of all typing in names! Apart from that it is – annoying!!!

I also like the pet raising idea.

Some holiday skins for pets would be nice… or some added now and then in general. like u did with the Reef Drake. And plz, make Those pets be ones that look good/cool. Otherwise ppl wont use them (speaking for muself here about some green UGLY poison spitting drake that is very good – but ugly!!!)

Whatabout making some rare pets hard to get? Like u have collect some mats to turn in at a tamer to get him to realese special pet for u to tame for example (could be spieces like griffons or pheonixes perhaps)…. Just thinking out loud here.

I love doing that event it’s just the time I have to spend on that map waiting to get on the main server (desolation). We’re talking hours here… That is a reason I give up.

Since Last patch I have managed to defeat him once…. Using a “taxi” to get to main server (that was just after the newTA release.) Now, 2 weeks later it’s the first time I manage to get onto that server again… and then it was lost (probably why I managed to get in at all).

Those are the reasons I “fail” getting there… It takes a whole team just to get onto the right server if it’s populated enought ti take down the dragon. We have managed to take him down on overflow too but that has only happened once (and that was Before the TA release). Usually ppl are jst standing AFK waiting in overflow…:(

I really like renns idea actiually… There ARE in fact differences in between races that look so different – or should be at least. Nothing HUGE but minor like he suggests. Thumbs up for that!

I was SO happy when we finally go a few mora hairstyles. It’s noticable u have put some work in them as they move when the character does (the old one didnt – at least not in charr).

It would be awsome to see some more faces, horns, tattoos, etc created with the same care and love…. My makeoverkits ara waiting to in my inventory to give my charr new, Beautiful horns and perhaps a nice facelift too

And I really apriciate the work u guys have started to work on when it comes to the issue with tailclipping and such. I can see that more and more armourpieces get this fixed. Still a way to go, but u’re getting there! Thank u!!!

Totrally agree… coats, coats, coats, and more coats. Sad, isnt it. I have 3 Female Charrs and the Mediun armour (even though it’s on my main) is the worst. Really hard to get good looking.

I know flying things are actually “attached to the ground” but by implementing som of the Changes I suggested they can get a more flying feeling. Some adjustment i heigt would also add to the feeling I Think.

Another thing that would nice to add to flyng pets would be an ability that makes them jump with u over edges (flying after u). Perhaps they can track their master in some way, instead of flying 3 feet over the ground around a guge Cliff to get down. Pets Walking around the cliff make sense to non-flying pets though even if its a bit annoying sometimes.

Logically…. Shouldn’t it be easier for a flying pet to deal with flying enemies?

My suggestion is to make birds (hopefylly griffons and bats in the future) have a greater chanse to hit/make higher dmg to other flying enemies than pets that cannot fly.

Flying enemies such as Wasps, Dragonflies, Risen knights, Imps, Fleshreavers, Harpies, pretty much anything that does not EALK on the ground……

Birds vs flying enemies – good chanse to hit enemy, equal chanse to get hit by enemy
Birds vs land creatures – good chanse to hit enemy, hard to get hit by enemy
Landvalking pets vs other landwalking enemies – good chanse to hit enemy, equal chance to get hit by enemy
Landwalking pets vs flying enemies – hard to hit enemy, esily get hit by enemy

This could make Birds more useful for certain purposes.

I Think they DO read the rangers forums. And I Think that class is “as broken” as any class. It’s tricky to learn how to play the Ranger class though to get the most out of it. It takes time and patience and we have to adapt our play style for the circumstances around us (as will any class have to do). Sure there can be improvements done to the class, I agree with that, but it’s not as bad as many makes it sound.

U have very good suggestions… I wonder often why many of these things are still not there.
