Maybe wow players enjoy the genre done right so much they want to be part of something new thats as much fun?

Maybe most WoW players are so addicted that they are incapable of enjoying anything else

Didn’t even realized GW2 came out.. So basically the hype flew past me ….
Anyways just learning the game while playing it instead of fantasizing about it and building up all these unrealistic expectations i came to the conclusion that this game is awesome..

And i love the casual part about this game

I am getting 11 fps in WvW combat with my phenom II 4Ghz with HD6870x2
and between 60-100+ in regular normal questing… 60+ in Spvp as well
WvW is just kittening evil for any cpu…

My laptop gives me about 30-40 in normal outdoor PVE with drops to 25 in towns (even less in lions arch) everything on medium/low.
No clue how it holds up in events … probally bad lol..
So in conclusion your Laptop will probally run the game pretty danm bad..
and WvW will be unplayable.

Well i gues you could start with making a Norn so you can atleast still shape shift ones you hit level 30 http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/List_of_norn_racial_skills

and i am guesing the ranger is kinda nature related with spirits of the wild and stuff >.>
but nothing that really plays like a druid.

You guys with 40 FPS in WvW what cpu are you running :S

Noticed a wierd bug when i had like 30 fps… and switching sampling would bring it back to the normal 60 cap…

I was doing some edits and thought I should point out one thing, 50% isn’t the retention. It is the 40 day retention my guess is that the 90 day retention will look a lot different.

Also sadly as most people know people don’t come back to games these days they just go back to their last game or wait for the next game(sad reality but it is a reality).

Anyways this doesn’t mean doom for the game, but it isn’t really good retention is all.

Keep in mind though that this game is free to play.. Big change ppl will start to wonder in a few months what the updates did for this game..

All it takes is a installation no need to get that subscription going etc.

All mmo’s are grindfests end game..
Back when i was playing WoW (over 2 years ago) i was grinding my kitten off to get honor for my pvp set AND after that i had to grind my kitten off to get my arena set…
Before you know it season had ended and you could start all over again.

While i was pure PVP my RL friend only focust on raiding/PVE..
Basically he was lurking in towns 24/7 only to get in to action like 4 times a week to farm/Grind gear in raids.

Personally i tried all classes to about level 20 and the one that got me is the elementalist.
As for race i prefer a Norn just because i love the snowy starting zones <3
Reminds me of skyrim

Just make 2 stats on a abilty / weapons

for example the “Hammer Swing”

200 damage vs players
500 vs monsters

Problem solved

I would be spamming F5 to get that quick save going.

Follow the Yellow HARTS that fit your level !!
And don’t forget to do your story quest the moment you can

Yep best MMO i have ever played.
First one in a long time that makes me want to quest and explore..
I mean just running in to that pirates cave in Lion’s arch was epic <3

Funny i actually just levelt my Ele to level 28 !
And i takes me about 5-7 seconds to kill 1 mob or 3 at the same time … considering almost everything is aoe ..

No clue about end game..

Think it’s time to accept that WvWs only for players with a latest CPU. (and even those struggle)
I am one of the players that can barely do WvW 11 fps in massive battles…
The differences is i simply don’t play it.. I mean even without WvW this is a great game the pve leveling content is amazing and if i want to PVP is prefer some skill based regular battlegrounds instead of what’s normally a massive zerg fest.

My phenom II running at 4 ghz HD6870x2 gives me like 11 fps in the biggest WvW possible..

anyone with a similiar setup getting more ?
Normal PVE it’s average between 40-70 Everything but shadow/reflections maxed.

Might upgrade to a I5 3750 can someone tell me what fps they get with that cpu in a MASSIVE WvW

I am running it pretty much maxed out with only shadow on medium and reflections on terrain only ..
Pretty much the 2 CPU heaviest settings are on medium.
My CPU is the bottleneck in my system so any other settings isnt giving me enough FPS to justify the loss off eye candy.

Ah well if i am with in the normal FPS range with my system i am pleased

Norn live in a snowy region.. They are like 2.5+ meters tall abourt 300 + kilograms …

I am getting between 27-40+ FPS in Lion’s Arch on my setup can anyone confirm if that’s normal or is it time to cleanup my pc

I can live with the FPS btw just want to know if i can squeeze out more.

I am actually using a third party program just to keep that RMB down
(RSI right hand kinda forced to use it)
It’s called X-Mouse Button Control … set the mouse button to STICKY and it will be a Toggle button from now on

Right click to keep it pressed and right click again to unpress it…

I am actually mouse clicking, scrolling etc with my G13 but that’s rsi related for you guys a toggle should work nicely.

Increase the speed that the A and D keys turn the character/camera and remove the acceleration (make the A/D keys turn at full speed as soon as they’re pressed rather than getting progressively faster as they are held down).

This would be awesome..
Now if only they at a way to pan the camera up/down with the keyboard i would be a totally happy.. (one handed player)

I would love to see a increase in the Keyboard turn speed..
It’s just to slow atm.
Oh just to be clear i am only able to play this game with one hand basically i am forced to play this game keyboard only (Obviously i can use the mouse when working the menu’s) which isn’t a problem in casual pve.. Accept that the turn speed is so slow.. Really annoying.

Also the reason why i would love to see a keybinding that allows me to move the camera view up and down so i can run up hills and actually see where i am going ^^
