Because of the timing of the last update, Anet should leave the pairings as they stand for the next 2 months.

YB still has people on the server that knows where to place defensive siege, they just choose not to.

Wouldn’t it be nice if we could get 2 new upgrades for our Guild Halls.
1st Being an upgrade for a Trading Post
2nd Being an upgrade for crafting stations

They are currently destroyable, just take the tower. We really don’t need more siege BS in wvw.

Perhaps if Anet fixed the current serious issues I’d entertain this idea, but as it is, nope.

This would be a counter to the BS that is the watchtower.

We have different definitions of seige BS. I am always for defense of home BL, hence in favor of watchtower. I could go on and on about offensive siege BS, but I’ll just leave these two letters here: YB.

Anet will probably close this thread now just because you mentioned one server.

It just goes to show how this player is so outdated on their information. The Yak’s Bend players that dropped all the defensive siege in Towers or Keeps, no longer players the game.
As for the Watch Towers, I am not a fan of them. The range on them is to far.

DB, I do feel for you. YB hang in there. MAG, go away. It’s not your play style that people hate, it’s your toxic views. Example. I was match up against MAG awhile back, My group found a 10v10 fight and lost. No harm with that. I whispered one of the MAG players letting them know it was fun and GG. For the next 15 mins I kept getting very toxic whispers from this player. This player is not the only one. During the same match up I sent friendly PM’s to about 20 MAG players, all but 2 came back with toxic reply’s.

The mythology behind the new system sounds good but has it’s flaws. There is no way YB should be lock at this point in time and with out a server link.

Lol are you trying to say YB doesn’t still hug siege? Because that’s not what I’ve been seeing this week.

Every server has those players that like siege. I see it in the same match up as you. I will say this about YB, on the first day that I came to YB, ( 2 Years ago ) up to now, YB has changed for most of us. We don’t use the amounts of siege that most of you think we do.

I think it’s a valid question that needs to be answered by Arena Net.

If you don’t want to use TS, ok, don’t do it. But don’t complain that you don’t get the benefits, like boon share from the group. The group wants you to join TS, just do it. If you don’t , bye,bye, see you in hell.

The only servers that are closed right now is BG, JQ and YB. With out more information, no one can direct you to a server.

With TC opening up last week, We at YB feel like our turn is coming to once again open.

Over all I think server links have been good. While the server that I am on has only been linked with 2 different servers, " AR and FC " we enjoyed working with both of them. We always look for the strengths of who we are paired with and played off that. If they would find a group much bigger then them and needed help, we would provide the support that they needed and go from there.

Has FC been paired with some servers with toxic commanders, you might have. It is a shame because FC has some very nice players/Guilds that have a great understanding of WvW and how to get things done.

The locking of a couple of the top 5 servers is really strange. I can see MAG and BG being full, Maybe TC, haven’t been matched with them in months, but JQ and YB. That’s where I am lost. JQ does not seem to have the numbers to go head to head and stay close to MAG and BG and I know YB for sure don’t.
Does Anet have a plan in mind that has not been shared.

I have said all along, YB /FC was a good pair. FC has many great players/Guilds that truly helped YB along the way. You are truly missed.

Why not record it to prove someone is cheating? It’s VERY easy to install and press a button to record. I’ve sent vids to anet instead of call “cheater” without proof. 99% of the time it’s just misinformation, a L2p issue, not knowing all aspects of the game. I’m not calling you out per say, Grim Reaper, just saying make a recording(if it’s happening so much it should be easy to catch them), send it to exploits@arena.net. I hate cheaters as much as anyone. When I was on SoR a couple yrs ago I sent vids of my own server mates using speed hacks to Anet. Though it’s been a yr or so since I’ve seen WvW cheaters, though I’m sure they’re out there.

As of right now, we only have recordings of them being in the keep with out gates or walls showing any damage. I happen to be in the keep at the time, it was never contested, they just showed up on inner. The keep I am talking about was never breached on the outer walls or gates before this happened. And yes, I am going to keep trying to catch them. I hate cheaters.

Has MAG had our EBG keep for days now. YES. Is MAG defending it, Yes, wouldn’t any other server do the same thing. NO harm no foul so far. Is MAG using trebs to spawn camp YB. Well, kinda. There is several ways out of all spawns, they only have trebs covering one. Has YB done this kind of thing to other servers. I personally have not been involved in this kind of action, but I know of some former YB commanders ( no longer on YB server ) that have done this kind of thing. Am I kitten about this, Not really. I have learned long ago not to let this kind of action bother me. They will get tired of this just like the former YB commanders did in the past.

What does kitten me is when players use an exploit to go around walls and attempt to take keeps. They have been called out many times in the forums and so far nothing has been done. It is actions from a small group of players that give Servers a bad name.
Mag, this is nothing personally directed at your server, but you do have a small group of players that feel the need to use exploits to take keeps. I am not sure if you know about this, but it is being done.

Regarding SoS/YB vs. CD, I’ve seen it. I have a video of it. YB held SMC and briefly before the reset last week, CD grabbed it (I believe we lost it again just before reset). We owned (mostly) the south corridor. We fought YB in the NW corridor and SoS in the NE corridor. Did YB/SoS fight each other? Nope.

I’ve also seen, but don’t have a video for, YB and SoS grabbing the CD towers on either side of the CD EBG keep.

If it isn’t coordinated, they’re certainly making it strongly feel like it is.

It may look like it to you that CD was double teamed but you wasn’t. Most of the YB commanders don’t play like that. It was just by chance that YB was hitting one tower while SOS was hitting the other one. As for SMC, it was just smart play style that it happened that way.

YB is still going strong with a good group of core players. As for DK, He is still around but don’t tag up. He was following a tag tonight and we all had a blast.

So, Snowpea, if you are looking for a new place to call home, give me a shout and we can go from there.

The community has not fallen apart. We did have a few guilds leave YB because of one reason or another. That was a choice they made. All in all, YB is a closer community because of it. We tend to work closer together now.
There has been lots of false rumors going around that DK rage quit, transferred to a different server, died, and so forth. None of these are true. He will return as soon as his internet allows him to.
