Hes roaming and i`m keep watching. Plus I am unclear as to who the oPP designated important poeple are, maybe Gully can provide us with a list of SoR players he allows people to talk to? It explains whats been going on in TC BL though, usually BG run when we see them, today they have been running before we got anywhere close to them.
Those who know, know… If you don’t know then maybe it is just simply none of your business. And obviously, you didn’t make the list.
So any explantion as to why hes on SoR? Talking of guilds that matter, with oPP running as a small man guild, whats the sense in spreading your members over different servers? 5 man groups a bit big for you to manage?
Don’t ask me, ask him… If he’s not answering you then you are not important enough. It really is that simple.
Also be happy he’s there, finally a roamer on your server.
Hey OPP, how come you have one of your players on our server in WvW? I did try asking the guy but as soon as I did he went quiet and changed his guild to Spirit of the quaggan [SQ]
Most people that play a thief share a very similar mindset which is to see a lot of crits and big numbers. There is a side to the class that most people don’t want to play because it doesn’t make much sense to them.
I’m the guildleader of probably one of the most disliked small skirmish guilds in tier 1. In my group, I’m the point man and I play the role that is normally played by a guardian or a warrior. I get people to focus on me while the rest of my team gets free play.
Some of the stuff I don’t see a lot of thieves do but which I consider extremely important.
I try to get as much attention on me as possible.
I peel for the guys that are in trouble.
I can always get my team members up when they go down, a guarantee rez.
I chain immobilize targets.
I can cover a lot of distance in order to put my targets back in combat.
I use daggerstorm not for the damage but to keep my targets in combat while also making them scatter.
I help my group get away when we’re getting stuck in bad situations or when the fight goes down hill.
I chain daze players that I consider a threat.
I play a can-opener for my guildies by stripping boons off of my targets.
I stomp about 80% of the targets that get killed by my team because it’s a guarantee stomp.

Hmm earlier this week I was in a havoc group on EB that ran into Riot. We outnumbered you by 1 but I wouldn’t have though that should have been much of a problem. Rather than fighting us you proceeded to bait us into the path of the BG zerg. I admit we fell for it because we thought Riot wanted small group fights.
Still a lot of lag but we’re finally getting back to have a normal pvp environment. Thanks to all who are already burned out, left tier 1 or have finished their a-cheese-ments.
@HzH guy: I found 1 ranger who didn’t run from me today. I found 1 guard who ported as soon as he saw me go towards him, 1 ele who ran but couldn’t get away, and a thief who upon me running up to him used blinding powder and ran to bay. I was solo in every situation. So maybe try getting your 1 ranger to train your guildies to not run, he’s a cool guy.
As i am probably the ele you are referring to here i think i can explain why we ‘run away’ from you instead of fight you.
oPP is a guild build to roam and 1v1 , 2v1 people. PvP players pur sang and you’re good, if not great, at what you do.
[HzH] is a map leading guild, almost 95% of the players you’ll encounter with an [HzH] tag are built to support the guild in open field fights, support and siege warfare. We have roamers, but they are few and far between. The ones we have though, tend to kitten people up in 1v1, i hope you’ll encounter them once, i think it’s going to be a good match.
As for why i tend to ‘run away’, instead of fight an oPP player 1v1. Well, first, i’m a friggin ele…last thing i need to do is 1v1-ing mesmers and thieves :p
Secondly, my entire gear, weaponset, traitset, build…is made to support a guild group in group fights. I know my build, i don’t deal a lot of dmg, but i heal the kitten out of people and make sure my commander is alive and at full health even during the largest fights. Do you honestly want me, a staff ele (even switching to daggers won’t do much for me) with 0 points in fire, and fully geared to heal instead of doing dmg, fight you who are fully decked out to 1v1 people. I don’t see the use in that, to me is it’s as usefull as a can of alcoholfree beer in a bachelorsparty. I honnestly think it makes more sense for me to try to kite you and go help my own guild. And this goes for almost all of our members.
So yeah, you’ll probably see us trying to dodge your guild in order to get to our own, not because we suck, but because we’re simply not sporting the build to 1v1 at that time.
That being said. Few HzH will be able to win from an oPP player in a 1v1. On the other hand, oPP is less likely to capture/defend a keep being defended/assaulted by HzH.
Both guilds have their strengths and weaknesses, no use in chest thumping on forums on how you can use your strong point vs another guilds weak point.

I don’t believe it. oPP doesn’t know what solo roaming is. All they do is use the current op build of the month and roam other guildies who do the same.
Is IRON the same guild whos necros I 1v2’d and then stomped right in front of their guild?

If you have not noticed we have been busy fighting off a 2 v 1.You can message me in game if you need to be owned. Let us hope your skill level is higher quality than your name.
[oPP] is a small tier 1 skirmish guild on the Blackgate server. We have a lot of members that enjoy making videos. A lot of the videos contain strong language, a lot of swearing and a lot of curse words… so not for the weak hearted. Enjoy!
To the oPP War I just dueled, good show, sorry my member didn’t know it was a duel. I also just got to finally popping food when I noticed I didn’t have any on
1. More focus on skirmish aspect of WvW.
2. Zerg vs roam reward balance.
3. Resolve the lag when large groups fight in and near buildings.
4. Balance the current meta better.
5. Better group utilities; group size, multiple target functionality, better party representation on minimap.
6. WvW vs PvE reward balance.
Just another one of those features that worked out great and actually did what it was designed for but it got nerfed due to people not knowing how to adjust to it. Another round goes to the casual player and the blobbers…

BG has quite few roamers. We would like to see more roamers join SoR and JQ. SoR has been producing more, but not enough!
You mean BG has quite a few havoc squads.
If that is what you want to call 2-5 man groups, sure… Call it whatever you like!
1-2 mans could be considered roaming for the sake of clarity. Anything above that should be considered a havoc squad.
If that is the case then T1 has almost no roamers; they are mostly all havoc squads.

This is true, we do fight 15+ groups most of the day… Specially when fighting for nodes. But we’ve been seeing a few more roamers show up but the groups can still be counted on 1 hand : \
Same goes just because you dont see many tiny party teams running around that it must mean they are in a single blob.
The ignorance of some people in T1 servers is astounding, just like those in lower tiers spouting crap about queue times and skill lag. Funny, you dont play on that tier, Im interested how you know this to be fact.
I’ve played on BG in a small roaming guild for the last 10 months. When we are on a Borderland capping every supply camp and don’t see a soul for 15 minutes outside of the zerg, I would say my observations are accurate. SoR zerg players have no idea how active their own server’s roaming guilds are, or how active their opponent’s roaming guilds are for that matter. Same goes to Blackgate and JQ. So unless you are a roamer, you probably shouldn’t comment on roaming in T1. I’ve even had SoR roamers tell me that the SoR community frowned upon roaming guilds prior to BL.
As I’ve said above, SoR is getting more and more roamers. TW is making an effort to roam 5 mans or less, and I’ve seen some 10-15 groups out there too. I’ve almost NEVER seen this from SoR prior to the Bloodlust. So, good for SoR for changing with the meta. We’ve enjoyed the change very much, but the stigma of SoR being the ultimate blobbing server is not completely undeserved.
Well SoR has overtaken BG, but they still need lessons in scouting. It was funny how they got sandwiched between TKG and MERC outside SoR Briar during early Oceanic.
hmmm maybe SoR can stack some more guilds so there is no need to scout? It would certainly fit SoR attitude.

Peeps will always give us crap about our way of playing, specially those in zergs, but I’m just really glad to see more peeps finding the confidence to run smaller groups.
A lot of people think that [oPP] and [Riot] get to fight other skirmish groups 24/7 but that’s far from the truth. We actually fight zergs pretty much the entire day with some random dudes trying to force a 1v1 upon us.
So I can only be happy to see more peeps popping out in smaller teams.

I dunno, just go in and roam… I don’t stack anything because the stacks come from killing the targets these days, I don’t have the patience to kill a few npc mobs. Also a bot on our server is is killing them anyways. And then just use my oils and use my food…
JQ please give us some good havoc fights all this week. Opp and RioT gave us some good ones last week. I’d appreciate the same from you guys this week.
Took me forever to dig through and find the good fights, not all were amazing but it was a slow past 2 weeks.
It’s called efficiency, in a t1 server while you are doing nothing there’s another guy waiting to get in, if you claim to be that good then do something usefull to your server,
During NA prime we are the players that control the orbs on 2 different maps, for many hours straight. Hence why I call your comments about [oPP] and [Riot] zerging untrue.
We are actually a very large contribution to the BG PPT without even caring much for the PPT itself. It was shown a few days ago that Blackgate had the highest PPT through stomps, killing yaks and flipping camps which is something we as [Riot] and [oPP] control.
See, you just sound like somebody who got singled out and you got quite annoyed about it. You seem to think that there are rules in WvW but there aren’t any. If you get caught, just take that waypoint and do it again.
Today our 4 man group had to fight for orbs with a 20 man group from [Fear] and a 20+ man group from [GSCH]. That’s just the way the game is designed, adjust to it and try to handle it better.
And what shame should I have for killing players in a pvp environment? You pop into that borderland, you’re just another kill. Just like how we’re a kill to somebody else…
Don’t get mad about it, just adjust and get better…
