I’d like to try Fifty Shades of Muddy Brown (ESO) just to cross it off my Try And Reject list, but wondered how Trinity based it is. If it is Trinity, I will cross it off right now.

To be honest, I’d love to know how many people they would consider enough to stress test anything.

When I played APB we had the OTW (Open Test World). At a time when 20,000 players were common, they opened the OTW for an entire new game type, and the max they had on at one time was 34. It wasn’t enough to stress test anything.

I find the dragon often says invulnerable, but it still takes damage. Most Ive ever had to do was 3 rounds to kill it.

Having levelled 14 character, visited all of the story for human, sylvari and much of asura characters, world completed 5 times etc, I am at a loss for new things to learn and discover myself.

My game time mainly consists of trawling LFG looking for people who need help.

As for exotic, I think there are simply not enough options in this game for different racial features, especially African types. So I based my Engineer on a Moroccan appearance, some Caucasian features with that beautiful dark skin.

Nope. There was a whole bunch of people in LA yesterday all shouting ‘Yarr’ in a male human voice for about 10 minutes.

My traceroute to the US server where I play says 134-144. In game it is 170+.

Every 3 seconds Im coming out with a phrase, usually from another species and race, even sometimes phrases from Mad King Thorn. Its absolutely crazy.

Along with passive pets attacking and active ones not doing so, enormous raise in ping and drop in FPS as well as all the other problems, the camera patch has obviously affected some core code and no mistake.

I dunno, I find Nectar Shop to be both original and funny.

Luckily this account had unique-to-it passwords. I can’t see that any damage has been done. Scary moment though.

Also odd, some items in the bank, valuable items including 20 slot bags, were still there. I should have seen if the created charr character had unlocked any map.

I deleted the character, and have changed password. I will keep an eye on the account to see if it is used again. If it was a gold spammer Id have thought that the account would have been banned?

What confuses me though is that the character created was still at the start of its starter mission. If it quit out of there and was used for gold seller spam, surely it wouldn’t go back to that mission in the next relog?

I recently abandoned my second account (the one that this forum account name is attached to). I deleted ALL characters, and haven’t logged in for several weeks.

I just logged in and found a level 1 Charr thief (I never play Charr or thief) with a randomised name. It was apparently created 24 days ago. I certainly never made it.

Has this account possibly been compromised and what do I do if it has?

I totally agree. I feel that Retreat! and Save Yourselves! were only added in such a way so as to emphasise the ‘cowardice’ that Anet keeps insisting that Logan showed in the battle against Kralkatorrik.

Both those shouts, silly as it seems, really affects my enjoyment of playing Guardian.

And when I have mine set to active in instances, it doesn’t attack.

Yep, same here. Having LOTS of bugs atm. Female human ranger saying male sylvari necro comments, login issues, crashes as soon as I join a party, gained over 70ms worth of ping, targeting is drunk…

Issue: lag to servers has increased dramatically with the camera change patch.

How to replicate: not possible at this time. Ping from ST3 postcode pre-patch was 92-108ms. Post patch, average is 170ms.

Issue: crashes when starting game, in party whilst in instances, when alt-tabbing out.

How to replicate:

1. Starting game, often crashes before character select screen.
2. Join party. Party selects or enters instance. Game freezes. I am able to see other people type in chat and speech bubbles but all characters/NPCs/other gameplay remains frozen. Sometimes screen goes black and I can hear ambient noises but nothing else, requiring a game restart.
3. Alt-Tab out. Game freezes. Screen goes black and ambient noises/music is still audible. Requires game restart.

Issue: targeting broken.

How to replicate: when an even spawns (in this case Franklin Quickblade skill point), target the green mob as he makes his entry taunt. When he turns red, targeting immediately switches to an already-red mob further away.

While this references more WoW than GW2, the sentiment is there…

Also, if you are playing Thief/Guardian/Elementalist you are very squishy, particularly early on. Kite more and don’t be afraid to run away if you need to

I’ve never had a problem with Ranger, Engineer, Necromancer or Warrior. Even solo’d a champ with a minionmaster Necro, and several champs with Ranger.

I have had big problems with Elementalist and Thief because they are squooshballs.

I had never played an MMO’RPG’ before, and I have high functioning autism, and I never needed the NPE or April Megafailpatch changes. Everything I needed to know I asked in chat and got great community feedback and help. Not all of us idiots need NPE!

Wow… some people in here must have the lowest amount of patience I have ever seen.

Except on weekday mornings, I usually find it takes no longer than 5 mins to fill a party for Arah story, and I have run it 70+ times as a tour guide.

Either/or one of these things would have made GW2 unplayable for me:

1. Forced group content
2. Trinity
3. Subscription

Many of us bought the game because it did none of the above, myself included. If any one of the three were introduced, I’d be the first one out the door.

I kid ye not, ranger is simply the easiest class to play here. Longbow and Piercing Shot trait is massively powerful, you and your pet can stack 22 vulnerability alone on a target with Longbow and Opening Shot traits. You can enable permanent speed boost which helps with escape and gives an aid in jumping puzzles, plus signets for extra toughness and condition removal.

You even get a pet that can solo most ambient creatures, or at least can tank while you get away. I knew a girl with serious CP, only use of one arm, and she played Ranger fine.

What’s not to love?

Problem is, with all the duplicity and misdirection that we have already been given by Anet, it is impossible to tell whether this is a bug and they would like to fix it, or whether they are saying that to appease us.

Seriously, all of this, along with the entire April Megafailpatch and the NPE, all smacks of chronic lack of communication within the company.

I feel largely the same, but not to the point of feeling ill. I just cannot find anything to satisfy me anymore. I log in, finish a map or look at WvW to see if I can grab a keep I need, and then log off and just sit here watching stupid videos.

Thankfully, spring is nigh and I have 2 beautiful motorbikes begging to be ridden <3

A question for those who use their middle name instead of forename:

When did you decide/was it decided to use your middle name? Is there a reason why?

I ask because I despise my first name of Christopher, and at age 18 I tried to get people to use my middle name of Simon. My parents completely agreed, had no issue with it, but noone ever remembered so I finally dropped it and went back to Chris.

I was thinking of actually changing my name legally to a chosen forename, and changing my surname from White to its ancestral Waskaelis (I’d need to find a definitive correct spelling first) because I hate my forename so much, just wondered how quickly people adapt, or if they ever do.

How can it be anything BUT Guardian? Spirit Weapons, Consecrations, Meditations, it all ties in.

I did have to laugh at the fellow TCer who raged at me in /w, when I said that I was a spy for Piken Square but couldn’t understand why I never saw any other PS players :p

Even when I explained why spying for PS would be pointless, he didn’t seem to get it!

I know you guys will have no idea who I am, but I would like to thank the Blackgate and Jade Quarry players who allowed me to pass unharmed into your territories to get vistas/POIs/SPs these last few days. It is massively appreciated and I salute each and every one of you.

The coolest experience was last night where myself on TC, a BG and a JQ guy all converged on the Skritt King skill point, waved to each other, took the King down together, then headed on our own individual paths.

I don’t have any problem with getting squished if an opposition player wishes to attach, but it goes to show just how cool the majority of players in this game are

TBH I don’t like or want WvWvW. I couldn’t care less if my server was bottom of the pile.

I grind out the WvWvW unlocking. At least WPs and armour repair don’t cost anything in there. Heck, if you’re outnumbered you don’t even take armour damage. And sometimes, just sometimes, it can be a lot of fun to outrun/outfox enemies and get that adrenaline going.

It doesnt do anything anymore anyway.

There used to be a personality mechanic (which was totally cosmetic and had no real effect other than that some NPCs would be hostile if you had high ferocity) but it was scrapped.

Dulfy hasn’t yet put up a review of the latest POI… wondered if anyone had done so?
