to me warrior’s seems to be more like a burst damage, provided with crit.
if not it’s just a normal attack =\
As title, which proffesion’s f1~f4 skills is the most useful, to the least.
Discuss.
I’ll start with my view, from most useful to the least
(keep this thread positive)
1) Necro – can deal damage, fear, and can soak up damages. another thing is it is very useful when jumping off a cliff~~ yeah~~
2) Mesmer – really a dps + confussion dealer.
3) Thief – steal skills, and can go invi if traited
4)Engineer – these 4 slots skill can be changed base on the different tool kits or pack. some extra skills…
5)Guardian – Can burn, protection, heal, aegis…mm… boons~~~~~
6)Warrior – mmm.. no comment….
7) Ranger – Pet. Pet is very strong if traited correctly but, putting pet in this f1~f4 slot is a lil bit waste. from f1 to f4, most of it is just command key, from attack, to skill attack, stop, and swap pet… seems a waste…..
8) Ele – Although ele has 4 attunements to change, but what i feel is that it seems make no different compare to weapon swap which other has (maybe just add some boons when swapping), 1 good thing is that you can change 4 different attunements, instead of swapping 2 weapons like others do.
So how bout your thoughts?
Please keep this thread positive

I’ve noticed that most of the people in the Dungeon forums will only talk about 3 profession, which are Mesmer, warrior, and thief (some).
I understand that these 3 professions are for speed runs, and deal more dps than others, but how about the other professions. Cant they contribute anything to the team even if they r zerker build or… anything?
Just curious…

Check out the official website, wallpaper section.
There’s 1 profession called commando =D
I would propose a new Profession, called FARMER.
Since there’s lots of old tradition type of profession in all games, Farmer will be a new and interesting one.
Details:
Since we have so many different plants, animals around the world, Tyria, we should fully utilize them. When you explore the world, you will find lots of white name animals wandering around.
Farmer will fully utilize these elements.
Weapon:
Dagger, Sword, Axe, torch and maybe shortbow, or pistol.
I have no idea how or what the weapon skills works as, but as for Torch, I think its a must. It can throw roasted or cooked plants or meats. =)
Utility skills
Just like the other professions, we have Well, Corrupt, Mantra, Cantrips, Traps, Manipulation, and so on…
As for farmer, these are the utilities skills:
Plants
Animal ( or something related to those little animal)
Seeds
Food
Plants: Deadly Blossoms (something similar to TA exp poison flower)
then maybe few mortar thingy, but with different effect. (just like the sylvary story mode quest, you will need to throw some plants for different effect)
or maybe some vines…that will slow the targets.
Animal: Pig, rats, cat, rabbit, those white names animal you can find them around Tyria.
Farmer will “summon”, or call out these thing, to aid the fight ( a little bit like Necro’s minions)
but these summons can comes in pack, like 5 rats, or rabbits or so on. and can interrupt the fight.
Seeds: Something similar to Engineer’s mines. If someone who steps on the seeds, it will trigger some effect.
if no one triggers it, maybe it will turns into a plant or fruits, then the farmer can farms it, and eat it, for some boons effect.
Food: Farmer will throw their food on the target… (no idea about this idea >.<)
So basically these are the thought that i have in mind now, but Farmer, it will be one interesting profession.
cheers~~~

The necro boasts the highest natural health of all the caster classes(1), and also has death shroud to extend that life total even higher(2). While they don’t have some of the escape or damage reduction capabilities that other classes boast(3), they do have a lot of ways to win attrition fights(4). They have access to poison on multiple weapons(5), they are able to combine condition damage with raw damage(6), and they have multiple disables to interrupt enemy skills(7). Necomancers also have multiple movement disabling abilities(8), while allows them to chase down enemies who are low on health(9).
The necro boasts the highest natural health of all the caster classes(1), While they don’t have some of the escape or damage reduction capabilities that other classes boast(3) – These statements are true.
@ and also has death shroud to extend that life total even higher(2) – true
they do have a lot of ways to win attrition fights(4) – my personal view is, this is true, but if in wvw, most of the time, when you almost get the target down, there’s more enemies appear, you have to run. ( in short, the longer the fight, the more chance that more enemies backup will appear, so.. yea, run)
They have access to poison on multiple weapons(5) – true.
@ they are able to combine condition damage with raw damage(6) and they have multiple disables to interrupt enemy skills(7) – true.
Necromancers also have multiple movement disabling abilities(8) – true.
while allows them to chase down enemies who are low on health(9). – back to statement (4)
@ to apply these statements, you have to sacrifice few of your important traits. And from time to time, swapping weapon and utilities skills is a Must. And basically Necro traits are really a mess.
Conclusion (my personal view) – Necromancers, fun to play, and i really enjoyed it, and still enjoying it a lot. Cheers =)
