What do you think about an armor swap? Same model we have with weapon swap. I think it would be great in the game.

Some classes don’t have weapon swap or signet with 25% speed run, would be nice a warrior with a signet with 25% speed run and a elementalist with weapon swap.

I was thinking in something do stimulate people to go into spvp, something like “spvp classe rom” here the teacher (an experienced volunteer spvp player), teach people in their first steps in the spvp, they should learn, knowing better your char, traits, skills, better weapons in different situations, how to stand in the map, etc. A feedback system should work pretty fine here.

So, would be nice have someone teaching you how to duel in 1vs1, 2vs2…, team work…

Same problem here guys! playing with 15~20fps is painful, in black citadel is 6 fps!

Hi everyone, I have a tech support question I’m hoping you can help me with. I wasn’t satisfied with my computer’s performance in guild wars 2, so I decided to upgrade my CPU. I just finished replacing my intel G860 with a brand new intel i5-3470. Now when I run guild wars 2, my frame rates are much worse than they were before the upgrade. Previously, I could get 10-20 fps on medium setting in the middle of lion’s arch; now I get about 5-10 fps on the lowest settings.
Nothing else about my computer has changed. The other components I use are:
OS: Windows 8
Motherboard: Asrock H77M
GPU: Radeon 6850
RAM: Corsair XMS3 8GB (2 × 4GB)
Hard Drive: WD5000AAKS
As far as I can tell, my computer has fully recognized my new processor, reporting the proper name, 4 cores, and 3.2 GHz maximum speed. So I can’t figure out why my performance is so bad in the first place, let alone how it got worse with a processor that is more than twice as fast. As a test, I booted up assassin’s creed 3 and quite good performance- 30 fps on max settings. So this is definitely a problem specific to guild wars 2. Can anyone offer any insight that might help me solve my computer troubles? Thanks.

As you can see, as you, I had good moments with my old pc too, however, when I upgraded to something better, the result? I’ll tell you, it’s painful play with 10 fps or less.

My game was fine, I could play with no problem, now I only have headache, walk in black citadel is a pain, there is the worst place for, my fps there is 4~6.

I tried everything you can think. They changed something in the game and hope they are working to fix it.

Oh man, I really would be happy if someone from the staff could say something about this issue.

It’s not only in the wvw, but everything you do, you suffer from insane lag due to low fps issue. Try to visit charr land, for me it’s almost impossible, 4~6 fps.

Hope they fix it as soon as possible.

It stops being funny when it’s happening to us too. Been experiencing this for weeks now, but it never occurred to me this could be a bigger, not-quite temporary issue. Sporadic lagging/freezing in PvE is bad enough, I couldn’t do any dungeons or fractals because of this.

Incidentally, this doesn’t seem to be the case with the SAB dungeon.

About a month ago, I had an amd phenom x4 9850 black edition + a cheap mb asus + 8gb ram ddr2 + ati hd 6950 (modded 6970), and I had no issues with low fps, even in large zerg wvw, now I have amd fx 6100 + 8gb ddr3 + cheap mb asus + same video card, in the truth I tell you, I have the same fps than you 15~20 fps or lower, and when I need to go to a large city like charr home, the fps drop to painful 5 fps.

This sudden fps drop in cities, wvw, sometimes open world, they need to do something about it, if you do a research in the forum, you will find a lot of people like you and me with this same issue.

Guild Wars 2 has been reported for a lot of people with excellent pc specs about low fps when they are in large cities and sometimes in open world, especially in large cities.

About your pc spec, I think a new video card will really help you, if you can please upgrade your memory too, at least 4gb would be nice and will help you a lot.

And please do a research in the forum, you will see a lot of people complaining about this issue, I’m getting painful 5 fps in charr hometown, however in the open world I fell sometimes the low fps issue too.

I’m back to gw2 after a month, before this break I was playing nicely, really good times! WvW with large zerg, open world, world events, big cities, doesn’t matter where or when, the game was perfect to me, no fps issue.

Before this break I was using a humble amd processor phenom x4 9850, cheap asus motherboard, 8gb ddr2 ram, and ati hd 6950 (modded to 6970), how you can see, this modest pc, was really fine to play gw2.

However, 1 month after this I’m back with a better stuff, amd fx 6100, cheap asus motherboard, 8gb ddr3 and the same video card ati hd 6950.

It’s not good when you need to go in some big city and see you fps drop to rough 6 fps, no I’m not kidding, 6 fps!.

AND, not even in the open world you a free this problem too, not so hard when you are in the city, but you have sometimes to play with this issue open world too.

How you can read, the game was fine, and suddenly my fps really dropped drastically, if you do a research in the forum you will find a lot of people getting the same issue then me, and most of them with the computer stronger than mine.

So, please stop saying your processor is old, you need a new video card, because it’s not, AGAIN, I WAS PLAYING WITH NO PROBLEM, with a pc weaker than have today.

They are getting the same issue that you, I think it’s not you computer, but something wrong with the game or with the client.

How I said in these two topics, I think that there is nothing wrong with our pc, but something with the game.

This low fps issue in my opinion isn’t our pc, but something in the game (server), a lot of people is getting the same problem.

You guys didn’t understand what he said, he is trying to say that, he tried everything, even play in extremely low setting, and whatever he does nothing work, just to say I’m getting the same issue here.

My game was FINE, and suddenly my fps dropped like the op said, and if you do a search in the forum you will find out that there are more people with the same problem.

There is something wrong with this game, so, I would like to ask to Anet, please to investigate this issue, a lot of people have nice gaming pc and doesn’t matter what they do, the low fps persist.

The World Event protect the technicians as they rebuild penitent camp in Cursed Shore it’s bugged, the event bar doen’t move and the mobs doesn’t stop to attack always coming.

Its because your graphics card cannot keep up. Lower the settings to about 800×600 that fixes it for me. The game itself uses 1GB+ram so unless you have a 2GB card your out of luck.

Sorry but you are wrong, all my guild and a lot of friends are having the same problem, so, this isn’t a pc problem.

Same issue here, everytime you are fighting a huge group, you only see the damage numbers, but you can’t se the players you are hitting.
