I’d say go for it, you probably have most the stuff to craft the gear anyway.
When crafting I would make a rare MF set to get to 400 in the leatherworking as this would be easy to keep/switch to for PvE and making some money back. Then craft the exotic set that best suits your play style/build for playing in a group/dungeons/wvwvw.
Thats what I did anyway
Yep its still on there and its ‘soulbound on use’ 9500g
I hope they don’t change the method of obtaining the existing legendaries, as that will devalue them for those who already have them. On the other hand (especially if they increase the stats) I think some more obtainable ones wouldn’t be out of the question. A.net did promise that players would be grinding for looks and not stats afterall.
Gunnars Hold: Noll is spralled on the floor not working.
I personally hope they keep the existing legendaries as they are with regards to getting them, I don’t have one and will not be getting one btw, hopefully keeping the prestige of these weapons.
But as they have they have said that the stats will be increasing on them I hope they make some more easily obtainable ones rather than further breaking the promise of ‘not grinding for stats’.
I was hoping they might be deep sea dragon minions, more like Destroyers which never came across as ‘corrupted’ creatures but ones created by Primordus.
I run a 15/0/20/15/20 build with an equally balanced armour.
The only notable trait skills are the Elemental Attunement in arcane for the buffs, Soothing disruption combined with mist form for an extra heal/get out of trouble and earths embrace for an extra dose of not dieingness.
Weapons change a lot but scepter focus for Obsidian flesh and KDs is good choice.
I find I survive most encouters of up to 4 enemies fairly easily.
Also the channeled heal is better than it looks as you can keep kiting whilst channeling.
I made a sylvari engi, but lore wise any profession works for them as they are a young race that wants to learn everything about the world and experience everything.
I thought they had increased the ori and ancient wood nodes as I’m finding them more than ever. Also WvW I have had most mats from, T6 Scales from the Krait, venom sacs from spiders but again go with friends for backup from enemy invaders and to kill stuff faster. MF gear also helps a bit.
Id join this, especially as each character can easily be in different guilds. Cross server guilds doesnt seem to be a problem either. Would be great once guesting is enabled, a hoard of azurans stampeding through Orr.
Would be good to see it come back gradually, like a big scaffold and tent with worker NPC’s for a few weeks as if its being rebuilt.
I didn’t do it, had a few tries then I decided I cant be bothered, but don’t have a problem with it. No one is forcing you to do content you don’t like. Keep up the good work.
Putting 40 exotic level 80 Staffs into the Mystic Forge and guess what happened?

I am probably not going to bother with attempting for the legendary at the moment. It seems absolutely ridiculous on how much luck is needed to get them. Not skill, luck and grinding. At least the tormented weapons in GW1 could be guaranteed through a bit of hard work in a very hard instance.
The only rare I have is my staff, exotic crafted armour now too, but I survive well as an ele. Dungeons such as Twilight Arbour and Sorrows Embrace I was the only one who didnt die against the exploding poison spiders or any of the 5 golems.
If survivability is an issue switch to focus off hand its skills are almost purely defensive, destroy projectiles, KD’s and a few seconds of invulnerability.
Also water 15 heals every time you switch to water along with regen from cantrips at 10. This means you can heal whilst in mist form and if you need your self heal still switch to water for an extra boost.
Arcane 10 can give a boon with every attunement switch including regen with water and protection with earth.
I am by no means a great player but I can fight my way through Orr on my own without too much trouble, as long as I am careful and pick my fights.
Of course if you are going for a Legendary weapon or want that armour you spent ages working for to actually be seen norn is the way to go.
But then you lose the fun of jumping up and down or dancing on the corpse until they leave
Google it isn’t a sign of a very poor game design, google it is a sign of a very poor game community.
Actually its both, especially with the limited time for the event, some clear instructions on what to do and who to talk to wouldn’t go amiss.
The riddles for the books are bit too vague especially if they are referencing areas you haven’t even got to yet (I’m level 80 I just hadn’t bothered with Kryta yet).
Overall its not very fun so I haven’t done very much of it, but I do like the scenery changes and the ghost dolyaks in WvW.
Heavy metal thread bump! Just so you all know we are very friendly and take part in all aspects of the game at any level or playing experience. So if I your music taste fits our guild then send Direksone or myself a message in game (or if you can find another recruiter one of them) or on here.
Rock on!
I cant help the dye sorry, but the guardian party looks awesome hope the last person to join was also guardian :P
I would agree with this, once the story mode had been done there is no incentive to do it again. Less experience and money can mean you make a loss helping someone who hasn’t been through before.
This means some dungeons are really hard to get parties for story mode, the worst I have found so far are Twilight Arbor and Sorrows Embrace no one wants to do them again because its not worth it.
Good options to make it worthwhile doing again are same money each time I mean its not that its going to be easier second time it all depends on the party, I struggled more on my second run through Sorrows Embrace than the first. Alternatively an increase chance of getting magic items.
If you worry about people farming it in this case you could try to implement some way of only applying the bonus if at least 1 or 2 people haven’t already been through Story Mode
Love this! Fantastic idea. And my favorite Doctor who villain of recent years.
People should remember trying to stay alive in a dungeon should be top prioity, there is no way for heavy armour classes to direct agro onto themselves. Assuming everyone does the same DPS if you go down thats not just your damage that is taken out of the combat but also that of the teammate trying to res you – DPS goes down to 3/5 of the original if one member goes down. Stay alive and no one needs to res.
If you have agro from a melee enemy stay away by crippling/chilling or using swiftness them. If they are ranged cast Magnetic Feild (earth 3) and reflect the damage (this took a hell of a chunk out of Eir’s health in TA).
If you use all the skills properly and adapt to the situation regardless of where you put your attributes you will play better as an ele.
Male Norn Ele havn’t seen many others though.
If you playing with a Norn or Charr the jumping puzzles can be ridiculously frustrating and this mostly because of the camera. I have recently started playing as an Asuran and what jumping puzzles I have done seem to be much easier.
I am pretty sure in one of the books the Asura measure things in Asuran feet because they are smaller and therefore more accurate.
Staff is not good for playing solo, I tend to use either S/F or S/D for this. Obsidian flesh on the focus has saved me more times than I can count. Ether Renewal is a really good heal whilst channeling it removes conditions, so if you need to get away you wont be crippled or stunned, I would also recommend having either mist form or armour of earth in your utilities. Breaking Stun also removes fear which is great against the dragons. Switch to a Staff for large events such as the dragons, it has better range and reasonable AoE heals. I also always carry a full set of weapons around just in case I fancy a change.
Jumping puzzles in general are a lot harder with a Norn. I have a Norn main and Asura as my 1st alt, I know its two ends of the spectrum but the jumping puzzles are so easy with the little guy I usually manage 1st time. But really struggle with the Norn even doing the same puzzle the next day, it shouldn’t be any harder bu it is.
I did this instance with a friend and the NPC’s don’t follow then either.
Also every time a risen grub was killed it flashed up huge red letters about ‘content not available at this time, try again later.’ would love this fixed as I’m keen to play through the story.
Thanks
