Nope. I loved GW1 enough to spend way too much time working on getting those HoM skins. There’s no reason why you shouldn’t be working on getting a copy of GW1 to put in the same amount of effort the rest of us have.

-1 to mounts. Hopefully OP stops using waypoints and just learns to keep up swiftness 100% of the time. Problem solved.

I can’t wait for prices to drop. I’ve always been curious about what it would feel like to hit like an ambient creature!

This thread is awesome. Anet should revert things back to please the OP and others with the same mindset. This would work out for everyone. They get to miss out on the content completely but don’t need to pay gems either. Win/Win.

Always research properly before you decide it’s a really good idea to hold on to a ridiculously large quantity of anything. OP is tragic.

what we have here from many of the comments is a l2p issue. you have no idea how limited engineers are until you play them. going from playing warrior to playing engineer is like going from one end of a spectrum to another. one has all the weapons in the universe, one has 3.
some of us don’t like kits, myself included. i mainly use toolkit, when i do use it, for the block and pull. the prybar skill i could perform effectively without. flamethrower is a joke, elixir gun is boring, bomb kit is …weird. and in order to get full use of grenade kit you need to spec a little more glassy than i’m comfortable with.

I don’t disagree with the idea of preference but it’s weird you don’t associate a l2p issue here.

You can rant, pout and insult all you like. But most dungeons do take less time and skill than about any other aspect in the game , yet pay out considerably more. That hardly seems a good thing.

Just an FYI but the taxi trend has been around since the beginning of the game. From WvW queues to PvE events (wurm and tequatl for instance). Even if they implement your idea, gear is only one factor for getting maximum rewards. There are a vast amount of players that don’t have any clue on how to properly do events or follow basic instructions. On top of that, there are more people that adamantly refuse to coordinate properly. It’s like this in every single MMO, it’s not really something Anet can fix.

I wish every single event in this game could be styled just like the Crown Pavilion. Obviously the vast amount of negativity is unwarranted. We don’t need rewards, it’s way more fulfilling to pay gold and then bank your hopes on a bunch of random players having a clue on how to anti-zerg in order to achieve the maximum rewards. This is totally awesome game design. #Hype

This patch has been a very eye opening experience. It’s actually amazing the dev’s sat around in talks and decided it would be a great idea to have players walk in with money, and leave the event with less than what they came in with. These devs are absolutely amazing. Please keep it up, the end result is something I am slowly starting to look forward to.

Gold Sellers/Spammers would have a field day with this. Nope.

I got The Hunter a few days ago from playing WvW. My brother got The Bard (LOL) like 2 months ago from playing WvW. Basically, go play WvW and tag everyone you see, you will probably have a better chance of getting a drop.

In Guild Wars 1 they had the same exact issue as well. This game is using a heavily modified version of the GW1 engine so I’m not exactly surprised that this issue is still present. I guess it’s a technical limitation but that doesn’t make it any more reasonable. It’s actually pretty much the only reason I don’t buy any of those hats.

We were doing guild missions today, just like we do every week and yet some of us did not receive any chest/commendations for participating. We did nothing differently from before outside of having to shuffle some guild mates into parties so that they could join our version of the map with the bounty, etc. Please look into this issue as there is no other method of obtaining commendations.

Also I would recommend you doing this in your home instance if you have the Krait Obelisk and the quartz node. It’ll make things much more efficient.

Mounts? In this game? What a stupid idea. There is absolutely no benefit in having them. Every single reply in favor of them inevitably comes down to a different variation of, “I just want it so I can look cool”. Please.

Going to pass on any new personal story unless the design is vastly different. If it remains similar even slightly to the current style of the personal story I won’t bother doing it. I’ve already done Trahearne’s personal story for him, so I suppose I’ll just let him do it himself in any continuation.

No. Bloodlust is pretty stupid and is more likely to drive people away from WvW than get players interested in playing it.
