Signet of rage.Even for dungeons.Battle standard is useful only if you need to rally 2-3 party members at once.
@Graywolf
5 shout warriors will rock, because they will all heal themselves constantly, and provide a party wide perma fury and 15+ might stacks. In dungeon, you do what you can to not only boost your damage, but your other 4 party members’.
I’ve said it in another topic: all the damage you think you do as a 5 signet is less than the damage boost from just my 2 utility skills : FGJ and precision banner. If you pick the banner for the aoe fury, you can provide perma fury buff for your party, might stacks, and a party total bonus of 450 precision and 50% crit damage.
Edit: I just want to add.By no means do I say GS is not a viable weapon for dungeons. It is.It’s the traits that make it a completely useless spec(5 signet you know). You just try to sacrifice boosting party damage for your own damage.Thing is, party boosts always, always result in more damage.

Sleaze quote
since I was asked what a carebear is…. they are people who expect everything to have everything without having to work for anything… they are the people who expect every child in a sports tournament to receive a trophy just for showing…
You sir, have absolutely NO idea what a carebear means, none at all.I could use my own words, but that may be considered doubtful, so I’ll link the urban dic meanings(google em if you so desire):
Carebear :Term applied by PvP (player vs. player) participants in an online role-playing game to those players are disinterested in PvP conflict. Usually derogatory.
or
referred to a person or a game mechanic which eliminated or reduced all risk and challenge and realism from the game.
This is a game with NO monthly fee.So you guys tell me, when you bought Skyrim(or any other game), did you complain that it had not enough content to keep you interested for months upon months, while you played for 5+ hours per day?
And how valid of an argument it is when you compare this game to another MMO that was and is still up for about 9 years, had enough time and resources to fix bugs and implement new ideas?
What most of you(not all, there seems to be people who actually know what a carebear is, though they are few) call carebear, is actually called ….wait for it….entitlement! The yet another term that’s being overused even though people have no idea what it means!
What is good for a game is constructive criticism. What most of you provide is childish moaning, bordering with idiotic banter.
I won’t go any further, for I fear I might use some harsher words..but hope you get the idea.

Signet is very, very far from viable even when you use them.
The main reason mass utilities are preferred in dungeons, is because you not only buff yourself, but 4 other people.Signet build provides no such mass utility as you buff only yourself.
As I said, my anger came from 5 signet MF champ saying I need to learn to play cuz he hardly dies if ever, and an elementalist saying there’s no point in using aoe healing cuz people are constantly spread around.
If that was in AC, sure, my grandma and her 12 cats have made that blindfolded, but it was as I said CoE – hard stuff.
It really was my fault that I didn’t ask nicely from the start, but I honestly doubt they would have changed even if I did.
Thanks for the nice replies btw
Mace/shield is just terribad.Either go sword/shield for dot damage and mobility, or go axe/shield for pure fast damage.
But from the 2 you said, it’s Hammer, every day of the week.Mace best goes for off-hand for the vulnerability stacks and the range aoe knockdown.
There is one simple truth – if you bring MF gear to dungeons, then you’re a bad player, and you should feel bad!
Anything more than a food buff for MF is a big no-no.
Want items?Go farm the 2-3 mass mob spawn events in Cursed Shore with the MF gear.
I’d say it for a fact that more than half the dungeon runners make those runs for the end reward – the 26s and 60 tokens.Cuz you can then make those tokens into 2 items to salvage for further profit.
Even with MF gear, the chance for a rare item still remains miniscule, and in return your whole party suffers because you perform subpar
Far too many people have gone with the mindset of WoW’s gear progression – if I don’t see a stat increase, then there’s hardly a point.
Nobody is forcing you to play it every day for hours.Play when you want to.It’s a free game you know. You can come back in 4-5 months and it’ll be the same game, or maybe more polished(bug free).
And yes – you’re not casual. Not with the points you’re making.
Arena themselves have said that on average, without focus farms, it would take about 6 months give or take to make such a weapon(legendary). So 1 year is quite enough time to make it while still taking your time.
So here’s the question : when does MF come into play? When you actually press to loot the contents of the chest, or at the moment the chest spawned?
I’d really love to see an answer to this, because so far, I’ve ran dungeons with my MF set in the inventory and switch it only when I loot the chests. But if the loot is determined at the time of the spawn, me bringing MF gear becomes useless.
Same goes for chests from the dragons.
So, thoughts?
For PvE outside dungeons, pretty much everything works as long as you keep hitting it.
There are threads that can tell you a good dungeon build, and for leveling PvE, take weapons with lots of mobility and AoE(swords, warhorns for speed, longbow for AoE).
Generally speaking, you do not need much condition damage to really make it hurt. What you need is fast stacking attacks. So I’d advice to get some, but not to focus on it much.
As far as stories go, there aren’t any really. It’s a sustained damage and most of the time you won’t even feel like it even exists. But it packs a real punch and from 10+ stacks you’ll definitely feel a big difference.
All in all – condition damage is perfectly viable in dungeons.
The jealous voice inside of me: “Dauym yo such a nolifer!!!111oneone”
The rational voice: Congrats mate! Props for the hard work, and I hope now that you achieved the hardest thing in the game, you don’t get immediately bored of it.
@ShadowBane
Agree on almost all points. The ones I would argue is that warbanner is useful.Maybe, in case 2-3 players get downed at the same time(if group is capable that just won’t happen). Too long cooldown with too little uptime.Signet of rage is just too good even for a self buff. For normal banners, I’d say bring just 1 in dungeons, which is totally manageable. When you switch to another mob pack, you can pick it and buff teammates with swiftness(iirc all banner’s 3 was aoe swift).
Go full glass cannon GS 5 signet build.
But the very second you even consider going to dungeons, switch the build and the weapon to something more useful.Axe/shield with rifle or longbow is a good start.
Atm I use axe/mace and sword/shield, and have a longbow ready for some nasty anti-melee bosses.
I’ll start off with saying that this topic might sound a bit(or a lot) like a rant.I want it to be a plea though, a plea for the improvement of most(all) warriors in dungeons.
The reason I made this topic is because of a recent event, a run in CoE with a 5 signet warrior who not only had this quite useless dungeon spec, he also had full MF gear, even on his weapon…(seeing the weapon sigil made me ask him, and he did say he had it).
Do understand my frustration, coupled with an elementalist who was allergic to water stance aoe healing,it grew into anger.I used quite the harsh language when trying to convince them to somehow improve. They stuck me with an argument that was intriguing : we will play however we like , you can’t tell us what to do.
Now, if you go PvE solo and kill mobs by yourself, okay, you depend only on you.
But the moment you step into a dungeon,(and in this case- one of the hardest) your success or failure affects the entire group. How you perform will result in your party members paying more/less gold on repairs.I will lie if I say I don’t detest 5 signet builds.Just my FGJ and precision banner give more party damage boost than the whole person altogether.
So, the whole point of this thread(as mentioned above) is to plea to fellow warriors to act accordingly when being in explorable mode. You having fun is good and all, but for a second, think that maybe another person might not find it fun to die 20 times before even getting to the boss.
I don’t think I have more to say really.Best of luck in the item hunting I guess.
