Why I think HoT failed

For me, the feeling of gritty-ness is gone…the semi-realistic dark feeling of something very very wrong in the game world. What do we have instead? The start of HoT we’re presented with “All of the armies we had are demolished, how will we face such sorrow and hardship!” , and all I’m thinking is “lol get rekt scrubs xD”.
I miss the desolate feeling of Ascalon, where it seemed all life has died, the plague infested districts of Caineng….I could go on about this for quite a long time, but my point is – it’s like the game is hollow now.I don’t feel any real weight in it.
The moment I try to get into it, I get reminded of the mastery points I have to earn in the most stupid gating ever made.
Story?Voice acting? All fails.I’m seriously considering going back to GW1 now…..

I’m just wondering how this one change goes against their main selling point – that Anet don’t do major buffs/nerfs (was repeated over and over by them in interviews) but small changes and see how it all works out. Now they effectively destroyed the one viable build we had and to boot, the superior sigil of rage is now obsolete.
Just…
oh well fellow warriors, I eagerly await the next banner buffs, since it appears that’s all we’re gonna get.

That won’t happen. There are and there have been many other issues that are far more important to fix (GS 5, Bull’s charge and Shield 4 missing cuz of pathing is just the start) and even those haven’t been properly addressed…

The debates over this build have come and gone. The general consensus is that you use this build to power level, and after lvl 60 or so , switch to something more appropriate.
Warriors have a few things to be fixed , but sadly this isn’t one of them.

Uhhh. Warriors get 12.5 seconds of invulnerability if traited right. .

I was wondering how I would trait my Warrior to get the 12.5 secs of invulnerability. That sounds awesome.

endure pain + defy pain + shield block

That only counts if the duration was fixed to be the proper one(displayed in the tooltip), instead of being 3s each.So both would give 6s , which isn’t all that much considering you can still receive conditions and cond. damage still hurts you.

Glass cannon viable in fractals/exp dungeons?

Although many threads have answered these questions, I’ll sum it up quickly.

The best players play almost full GC cuz they know how and when to dodge properly.Knowing your class and knowing the encounter helps tremendously. So until you learn these, you’ll eat dirt quite regularly.
GS build is viable and very good for dungeons. For fractals, it’s good till late 20ties I guess. After that, you get punished really bad if you try to pull off a full HB.
Longbow.Best weapon ever.Don’t ever drop it.The damage is real good and the same as rifle(or better), and the aoe fire field is pure gold. The immobilize when kiting a boss is also extremely good.

Let's break down legendaries as they are now

Put tokens that are acquired by doing specific jumping puzzles solo(instanced ones). If further difficulty is needed, add a timer to it.

Make the same thing as guild bounties – special bosses that you need to overcome after you find them.Make them hard or with special mechanics.Use the same idea – a random map(from every single map in the game), and make them able to spawn everywhere.Put little clues here and there that you can read that will guide you to the current position of the boss.Make it so that the boss can actually flee from you(throwing some cheesy one-liners while doing so).

Put special tokens in the chests of every jumping puzzle, and use the tokens(plus something else maybe) to buy the precursor, or for another piece of the whole legendary weapon.

Require level 10 of SPvP (achievable in less than 5 hours iirc).

Make it so combining rares of level over 71 can have a 10% chance to net you a archeological fragment.Gather some(2,3, ideal is 4) and you can go on an expedition!Search specific zones for lore and gather pages into books for deities and cultures, then trade them for other tokens for the legendary.

I had a few other ideas, but I can’t recall them at the moment.

Ya this is why I don’t tell anyone how to “think out of the box”. There’s no exploits or hacks. It’s just taking what you’ve got and carrying it down a path to a bigger profit than the parts you started with. Those “parts” could be time, mats, places on the map, people you happen to be with, a combo of some or all these things, etc.

But it seems like people who are replying are more anxious to defend their position of: “it’s all grind”, than coming at it from a different angle. (It’s actually kind of interesting to watch.)

And if we reply not to defend our point, what do we reply for? To make some nonsense gibberish like your post?Maybe ,I guess……

First off, nobody mentioned hacks and exploits in the thread, so don’t go there and derail it.
“carrying it down a path to a bigger profit” , as I said , you go to the best farm spot, and you start farming, cuz this one is better than the rest.

I do applause your interest in watching this debate, but I wonder what your point was? Why did you make the post, or you made it just because?

I disagree — there is skill involved. Tons of it. Just not straight-foward direct gameplay skill. More of: think out of the box…how do I get the things I need?, skill.

Just saying there is skill involved doesn’t cut it when you want to make a point.Make an example how much and where exactly does skill take place? You farm your butt off of the most profitable places in the game (before it was events in Orr, now its CoF speed runs). The skill you say is merely finding which mindless grind is the least brain damaging….which isn’t much of a skill really.

Legendaries aren’t legendary.Don’t make them into something they are not. They are exotics with one of the best visuals in the game and a purple name tag so you might feel special somehow.

I crafted Sunrise about 3-4 months into the game, never got lucky with drop. CoF speed run wasn’t available then (heck, most people still treat dungeon as bogeyman around launch), there were no easy Karma source, no fractal for easy skill points. The only bit of farming involves that I can remember was the last 3 days I farm Southshore for the last 50 Powerful Blood I need. The first Karma monthly gave me the last bit of Karma that I need. In those 4 months I also got 4 toons to lvl 80, explore the world, playing the game as it’s meant to be …etc… I crafted it in 4 months, I was happy with it. I remember I could afford the precursor because I made the Anomaly and sold it as well as clear out every bit of my bank.

Now I’m trying to craft Prophecy, and yes I’m farming CoF like mat. My projection indicate I probably can make it in 3-4 weeks. Boring? Yes. But 4 weeks surely a lot faster than 4 months. You can play the game normally and get it, you can grind to get it, the choice is “up to you”. All these complain are nothing more then the “instant gratification” mentality, you want it now, yet you don’t want to work for it. The grind wasn’t forced upon you, you grind because you want to, and because you want it “now”.

As for skill, there were many, although there is nothing about “madz” skill. Being a focused player help. I was the first person in my guild who tried to organize dungeon run at a time most people want to keep away from it with a ten feet pole. Manage your time effectively. And more importantly, patiently working toward it and enjoy the process instead of whinning about it …. I think that itself qualify as a skill given the amount of instant gratification of this thread. You work toward it and you will get there, complain about how it is a distant impossibility and you might as well just give up before wasting your time and money.

Ummm…you quote me as a response to what I say, and you mention instant gratification? Did you bother reading what I wrote? My problem lies not in the desire to have it now with almost no effort(which only a few people want, none on this thread as far as I’ve read), but with the mentality of “Legendaries are special and are for special people. So you must not have it so it may remain special and the people who do have em can feel even more special than the rest.” That is bonkers.Honestly. The gosh darn weapon is nothing more than a huge skill-less grind and thats as far as it goes now.
And, if you count it as a skill to follow your goal when you have one ,then…eff it, I won’t go there..

Eh, I’m with Vol. Not everybody is meant to have a legendary. You don’t need one, it’s nice to have.

I am sick and tired of people saying this. Everybody who wants a legendary can have one. There is no skill requirement involved, just money.

In fact the most efficient way to get a legendary is to never leave Lions Arch, to play the TP and to buy all of the components.

The devs who designed the “Legendary” aquisition process should be hanging their heads in shame because there is nothing legendary about it.

I disagree — there is skill involved. Tons of it. Just not straight-foward direct gameplay skill. More of: think out of the box…how do I get the things I need?, skill.

Unfortunately, it won’t.They are counted as regular exotics and the result won’t be any different.
That is why the best course of action when spamming the toilet for a precursor, is to sell the named ones for gold and reduce your losses as much as you can, since they aren’t different at all for what you do.

Making gold is super easy if you just have time. The farm in the mentioned Orr areas is indeed valid while in a party, but it becomes invalid after about 2-3 hours – the DR will hit you and your party and when that happens, no good drops till it resets(about 2 hours tops).
A little tip nobody here will tell you out of greed for self-preserved info – gather a guild group to farm Orr, but look for one of the least populated servers which don’t have many people there(like, max 5-10 players in Orr). With that, you and your party will have no competition for the mobs and the tag.It really felt different when we had to kill the mob waves in Shelter from both sides since they pretty much overran the camp.It goes without saying that Guesting is how you do this.
Just FYI, this is not considered bug or an exploit. You may even be helping the people originally on the server .After you do this powerfarm for about 1.5-2 hours, go do speed runs on the easier dungeon paths – such as CoF path 1 and 2(path 2 only if your party can do good aoe and take a beating). For the dungeon farm, you need at least 1 alt, 2 is even better. You do path 1 and 2 on your main, then do them again on your alt. Then it must have been about over an hour, hour and a half since you started the dungeon, so off you go to Orr again.

And you have the moneyz. For the dungeons after CoF (if you like to farm the whole freaking day), then consider AC path 1 and 3.Use Omnomberry bars at all times.
Hope this helps.

PvE Axe/Mace vs Axe/Shield

in Warrior

Posted by: Ivanov.8914

Ivanov.8914

Axe/shield isn’t used as much because it provides less damage, and the 4 and 5 skills have no offensive capacity.Whereas, the mace’s 5 is pure gold and 4 is good damage and aoe vulnerability.
Use axe/shield in dungeons, when your vigor is spent and a big 1-shot boss skill is coming. At those times, shield 5 is pure gold. But outside of that, it’s a bit bad for PvE.
All in all, the best PvE weapon set at the moment is axe/mace for the pure damage and control it provides, without needing traits for mace 4 and 5 to be good.

As for the ranged weapons, go Longbow all the way.I’m not saying rifle is bad, it’s just that I find it rare to beat on a mob 1v1.And with the insanely fast adren gain from axe auto’s, you’ll have the LB’s fire field every weapon swap. And just to say- that is kitten strong in dungeons.Means that there is a window of 5-6 seconds between each fire field, and that is burn damage attacks for the whole party and aoe might for each blast finisher to boot.Even in boss fights, if the boss doesn’t jump around like mad (Kholer) it’s still good. The root from 5 is also real nice.

Disclaimer – it’s all my personal view, so don’t go jumping at me for how noobish I am not to see the glorious….glory..of rifle.I know it’s nice, just not in PvE for me.

I want to make a suggestion if I may : it’s about the SR trait Speed of Shadows. Now let’s be honest – nobody will take it since there are better options.

So, make it a 15% move speed, down from 25, BUT make it stack with all other movement speed buffs. The current maximum is 133%, with swiftness being the hard cap when out of combat, and with this, make us the only class able to go to 148% out of combat with swiftness.
This change will give us the mobility we so desperately need without being too OP(but it may be,so consider moving the trait to Master instead of Adept).
It will also improve DS and add another tactical use to it instead of the 1second button mash of F1-3-F1 every 10 seconds.

Would it be viable to use axe/focus instead of dagger? Not for the AA since it’s terrible, but for the 2 and 3, then switch to DS or staff, then back to axe again for 2 and 3.

With the tankiness of the build, the retaliation(that is affected by power I believe) that lasts longer per person/mob hit is real nice, and the damage of 2 is fairly decent.

Thoughts?Would it be viable to go 15 in blood so that axe trait in 30 spite can be taken and still have the 25 death magic toughness→power?

You will need to replay something that won’t benefit you at all, just like a tedious chore.
There’s no fun in that – here, play these 9 places tens of hours mostly with bad people, and then you can play at the level you want and have fun.

WA provides evasion frames, so if it checks the start of the ability for immobilize and doesn’t find it, the rest of the ability should evade any incoming immobilization. If it does find an immobilize, it should remove it, and the rest of the animation would evade any subsequent immobilize.

To my knowledge, it pretty much does this. The problem is that the skill has a delay before it’s used, and on good machines it becomes even more apparent.I feel like it’s close to 0.5 seconds before you swing for the evades, during which the immobilize check has passed, and in that period we’re vulnerable to CC’s.That delay has had me killed quite a few times…
Of course, this is me guessing with whatever knowledge I have, so I may very well be mistaken.

There are a few simple facts in games like these(Lineage 2 was the same to some extent) :
Melee does more damage than ranged, but it’s riskier, it can kill you easily.
Ranged does less damage than melee, but it’s safer.

Higher risk=higher gain, but you’re more or less gambling. All you need is a simple mob hitting you once just before an agony hit, and that’s it with you – only 4 people are left to fight.
It goes without saying that there are bosses that literally scream “you’ll die if you come melee range” so..

Have some vitality, but don’t focus on it.An average level. The main thing that will down you in high levels is agony, and it’s been said a lot of times – agony does % health damage.

So, it won’t matter if you have 30k hp or 20k – an agony hit will still take you 80-90% hp.
Mix average vitality and toughness, and focus on learning to dodge the boss’ mechanics since most of them are a bit telegraphed(easy to spot if you’re looking carefully). Never focus on only tank or only dps – you won’t be doing your team a favor.

That sword, warhorn, and mace are going to do him no good in any situation.

The warhorn is party speed/vigor and area weakness. Weakness and vigor may not be as key, but there are plenty of times where party speed boost comes in handy (helps even more that it removes slowing conditions too).

Maces is always good for removing defiant stacks quickly (F1, 3, and 5).

Sword I can’t think of a use for off the top of my head, but just the fact that two of the three weapons you listed definitely have their niche uses in potentially unusual group/build compositions is an indication that people are undervaluing having more weapons in inventory.

In semi-high to high level fractals, vigor is your bestest friend.

The drop system doesn’t seem to be integrating with the market/storage systems. I think it makes more sense for the drop-rates to be increased (automatically) when there are so few of them in circulation.

…market, storage, loot…in circulation… there are a limited amount in the game at any one point in time then? and all must be spent (no longer in collectible bank, inventory, guild vault, or in the pockets of Tyrian NPC mobs) for more to become available in game as loot for anyone??
i thought I had too much krazykoolaid lately. /toast. what flavor koolaid is yours? Mine’s grape!

I want to sent out a drone to farm materials for the guild. I like that idea. Although it could be explained as, the guild agent is sent to the market and buys (without actually spending any in-game currency) materials. AKA: farming process without being seen in PvE. More players online, the greater the chance for rare materials (that’d be account bound when taken from Guild Vault; must have maximum capacity guild Vault to be eligible; etc. etc.)

late add: Along the lines of a maximum quantity per time period of loot. Scary to consider. 15 of an item (exotic, rare, mat6, etc), a month, and then cut off. no more. Wouldn’t that be welcomed information up front??

Maybe it’s just me, but what the hell do you mean with your post?Somehow your point eludes me greatly…

The best way for a person to start dungeons is pure tank. After that, you start building experience that can be summarized in this – stay away from the red circles, learn to dodge.
Once you know the encounters and are practiced enough with dodge, then start going for more damage-y builds, till at the end you go for full glass cannon.
With the state of dungeons atm, you don’t really need a tank, unless your group is somewhat terribad, and even then, you can use em as a meat shield to plow through the mobs.

Charged Lodestone

Ivanov.8914

Really, the lodestones should be obtainable from any aspect of the game, just like ascended gear should be. Anet already stated that it was a mistake to force people to play one aspect of the game in order to get the ascended gear. Well the same logic should apply to lodestones. I hope to see Lodestones obtainable in more places in PvE and buyable with Badges of Honor, or as a more frequent drop in WvW. It would also be nice to be guaranteed at least a core per CoE run by being able to spend tokens.

Another thing that would help charge core and lodestone prices would be a revamp of the CoE dungeon. I don’t mind the difficultly, what I can not stand is playing the same encounter 3 times a dungeon no matter what path you run. Getting 100 lodestones is grindy enough, but having that same kitten encounter 3 times literally triples the grind.

Have you played any other mmorpgs at all? I am not talking about wow. You had to farm for months one spot to drop some material, to drop some recipe, etc.
Lodestones are just one of the most rarest material out there in gw 2 (some of the more demanded, some of them less) you dont see dropping diamonds in real life from everything, do you?

There needs to be some rare mate that is really expensive and rare so value of the item you craft from it worht it and I dont see the logic dropping them frome everywhere, it would destroy the purpose. They are dropping from certain mobs just to maintan the rarity of the item, you take this off and you can just give Legendary for free next time.

I hate how every new released mmorpg is sadly so simple and every second player demand everything to be easyer and easyer nowdays.

Then stop going to these forums, and stop posting altogether.
There is no value in your posts. There is no reasoning, no explaining. You only think you get the role of self righteous knight of elitism and hardcore-ness just for the heck of it.

The thing with previous MMOs was that the hard to obtain things you chased after had static value, or semi-static.Here with just the lodestones like the charged ones, the supply did not decrease, yet the price still goes up.There were only 2-3 times since the game went live, that the price actually lowered, and that was for a day tops.

In a nutshell – your “argument”(words thrown for the heck of it) is hollow and baseless.

Charged Lodestone

in Crafting

The problem has 2 sides.

1st side – farm.
This side is well known.Certain lodestones are too hard to farm, and funnily, they are too high in demand. This means that there is a lack of steady supply for reasons I will further explain.

2nd side – other reasons.
These reasons can be 2 – either there are people with insane dough that decide to make Mjolnir every 2 seconds and eat the supply of lodestones like charged, or there are people with hugely insane dough that manipulate the market for that good.
I know that market manipulation is common and is supposed to happen for a way for some people to make gold, but it’s almost as if Anet is helping such people.

Now, let’s take a look at games such as World of Warcraft – the market there is completely player driven and the company that runs the game could care less about things as drops etc.BUT, in this game here, there are quite a few times that changes were made, changes that reform the market from head to toe – the company actively influences the market. The reduction of the best farm spot for rares in Orr? -> ectos rise in price quite a bit (just an example).

For 2 months, every time I checked the lodestone supply, it went to about 700-800.At all times. No matter how much were bought or sold, there were people monopolizing a market for a good that has a ridiculously low drop chance and rare farm spot, and that allows people to bump it’s price through the roof.

My point was, as I said before – it’s as if Arena are helping people monopolize a market with their hundreds of “fairly” obtained golds.Oh, and I won’t go to discuss what a gold mine this is for gold sellers – constantly buy goods and then sell them for a lot of profit with 100% chance of success, as long as you have the gold?Oh yes please!

Edit:

Will add a few things coz I don’t like double posting.

Make lodestones be bought with dungeon tokens – 120 for a lodestone.
And in cases where the dungeon is too easy(AC and others), then make it 120 for a core, or maybe 90, whatever you decide.
The only setback to this, as I can see it, is the announcement of the dungeon revamping, and re-balance.It is possible for them to decide to implement this idea(hopefully) but after they redo balance, maybe in hopes for all dungeons to be equally hard.Don’t know.
I’ve said it in other posts – the biggest flaw of Anet is not effing up, it’s their lack of proper communication with the playerbase.

Atm, to get a legendary, you must play the “who’s the best-est ever farmer/gold buyer”.
Huge letdown.

A noob's question to level 80 Thieves.

So, say a new thief is aiming for a good performance in semi-high level fractals with S/D or S/P.What defensive stat should be prio?Tough or vit, or a little bit of both?

Not the cake walk

Note Im a pve guy and currently lvl 13 war.

Warrior is not the cake walk I was led to believe. Ive made two 80’s in full exotics so far, a thief, d/d ele and I cant say that the warrior is that much easier. Granted its not hard just saying that the tales have been exaggerated. So far have settled on axe/axe and rifle for weapons. I am looking forward to leveling this one too think this is gonna be fun.

I’m not sure if you’re just flailing wildly somehow, but it seems to me that you’re trolling in an attempt to make it sound like your class isn’t as op as everyone knows it is. Level 80 engineer here, just started a warrior, I’m currently a level 12 warrior and have found this to be so ridiculously easy it’s not even funny. I have literally leveled up this character by walking up to mobs 1 or even 2 levels higher than me, pressing 1, then playing Super Mario 3D Land until it’s dead, pause, repeat process, move to next heart, repeat process again.

This class is so op it’s insane. I -easily- out heal the dps of mobs one level higher than me, just with the passive signet of healing’s insanely op permanent regen forever that stacks with all other forms of regen. You must be trippin’ if you honestly think it isn’t the cake walk you were led to believe. God forbid if you happen to press the number 2 great sword attack, you instantly kill anything you’re attacking within seconds that isn’t a veteran or 2 levels higher than you.

tl;dr
Cool story bro, tell it again.

And what if he’s new to the class and god forbid, doesn’t know the easy way?
Every class is op when hitting mobs, so if you are only bent on starting pointless and offensive arguments, then please stop posting altogether.

To the OP : there is a trait in 10 points in Arms. The trait(forgot the name) gives you 40 precision per unused signet. At low levels this can boost your critical chance to over 100% (it’s quite ridiculous really) making leveling a breeze.Learn all signet skills and put them on your bar and forget about them(don’t use them). Either equip GS+rifle/longbow, or go for sword/warhorn+w/e you like. With that trait, you have the damages, you need mobility to go from mob to mob.
I also advice to pick the sigil that gives swiftness after a mob kill(goes for about 5s so it’s cheap).

Viable and "Best" Dungeon build ???

My advice – put 10 points in tactics for Inspiring Banners. The trait reduces banner’s cooldown and increases the radius effect. Then pick a banner best suited for the current party and practice – when the battle switches – pick the banner, use the swiftness or other available skills, place it somewhere where the most people will gain the bonus.

And when you’re in the open field, switch the banner trait for Empowered – increases damage based on your boons (with FGJ and SoR you’ll always have 2).

Rolling a warrior could use advice please 1st

Being toe to toe with a boss in fractals means you’ll eat quite a lot of agony. The way agony works punishes vitality tanks, because it makes damage based on % of your health (around 50-60% at low levels and rising at higher).

This means that if you really wish to be useful, make a mix of average amount of toughness and vitality and all else – put to damage.Again – if you want to be useful in higher fractals, melee is not an option.

But, if you mean the other dungeons and WvW, then sure – go ahead with p/v/t.
Also an advice if you go p/v/t – use non stop the weaponsmith consumable that boosts power based on tough and vit.

Which to make, Asuran or Human Warrior?

New necro in need of advice

in Necromancer

Ivanov.8914

So, a lil info before I start – necros were an interest of mine even during GW1.Was pretty obvious that the 2nd char I make will be a necro. However, now that I have it at 80 and with almost all exotic gear, I kind of find it an underwhelming experience…

The weapon I fell in love with when I was leveling was dagger, with staff for obvious reasons. However, when I was introduced to the wonderful boss mechanics that punished melees and later – the agony condition, I only feel that I’m pulling my teammates down when I play what I really like.

I had this idea of building a might necro – with BiP , 60% might duration from 3 2x rune bonus and sup sigil of battle(30% for might on crit).I thought that the power it provided, coupled with the life steal from the omnomberry pies would make me durable enough maybe not for tanking per say, but just enough so I may hold my ground at melee range.

It goes without saying that it failed quite a bit.It wasn’t even a bit what I hoped it would. The might stacking was slow and unreliable, the crit chance was lacking, and I wasn’t really tough enough to stand on the front line.

I really don’t know…the necro doesn’t feel the same to me as it did before. When I started it, I was overjoyed with thinking about all those many builds and choices I could make, yet that seemed not to be the case.

So…what should I go for? After reading the forums for a while, I got the conclusion that so far, the optimal setting is scepter/focus with staff and epidemic as basis for the build, which outclasses pretty much all else.
I’d also like to note that my main was a warrior that was leveled exclusively with swords(the warr’s condition damage weapon), so to take scepter for me is not an option…I just don’t like the weapon at all….
And, please don’t misunderstand that I want to see big hits like I do with my warrior. What I want to see is being useful with the weapons I enjoy.

Is that not possible right now?I would appreciate any feedback.

Edit: the question goes for PvE and dungeons exclusively, not for PvP.I do know that for PvE pretty much any weapon would do, but as I said – I wanna do the best I can.

New Arcing Slice buff?

in Warrior

You guys need to buff Eviscerate or better yet fix the misleading/bad traits such as Discipline.

Buff Eviscerate? … geez man. Are you sure you’re playing the right class if you can’t make a massive damage burst attack work?

Discipline is an entire line and it is not bad or misleading. Although, if I assume you mean the actual warrior-specific trait buff from the Discipline line known as Brawn, then we might be getting somewhere.
Spending 30 points in Discipline gives an extra 3% damage on burst attacks. That was nerfed because of Eviscerate. What they need to do is change it to 1% per point and make it a burst skill cooldown reduction and not a damage increase; or they could make it a .1% per point damage increase across the board.

Are you sure you play the right class? The weakness of eviscerate is that it’s pretty much telegraphed – a semi-skilled player can easily dodge it, let alone a highly skilled one.
If you don’t know the history of axe burst skill, and why it was nerfed, then please refrain of commenting like you’re all understanding of the issue.I’ll say a few things in case you don’t know/forgot.

There was a sigil that increased your damage after weapon swap. Also (that was during the betas mind you) the discipline tree gave 30% instead of the current 3% increased burst damage. Those things coupled with an all-damage glass cannon allowed warriors to pretty much 1-shot people with axe burst. There were many videos of other classes dueling warriors with such build, and guess what? When they discovered the magical button that allowed them to dodge, the warriors became so squishy and easy to read, it wasn’t even funny. The situation highly resembled the early release of the game, with every class and their pet cat moaning about 100b -> dead.

And now?The sigil that gave the insane boost was nerfed and gives totally different things, the discipline tree gives only a fraction of what it did and is a joke, and (I believe) they also lowered the burst skill’s damage to boot.

The things that made axe burst really strong have long since come and gone.Yet the skill is still lacking. It’s simple as that.If you cry that a warrior can give you 6-7k hits on demand, then either learn to play(to dodge) or just practice in killing glass cannons(also learn to play thing). My 2 cents.

100% critical chance on GS? Why not?

Switch Empowered in Tactics for Inspiring Banners and take the precision banner for 90 precision and 10% critical damage. With the trait, you have only about 3-4 seconds downtime on the banner, and its range is 900 iirc.

For those, who think 60+ is impossible.

Did I miss something about the fractal weapons? Do they drop now, or you mean to just gain experience for the time they go live?

So let me get this right – just before a final boss dies, you go out of combat and log your alt who’s in front of the dungeon and enter, and by doing so, you get the final reward on that alt?
If that’s the case, it’ll really help me leveling my necro.Cause we all know how well necros do in dungeons like AC….

Pointless speculation on 14/12 necro changes!

I have now proven you to be wrong, no where did I say Supah was a “wrong American instead of a correct European.”, which is what he mistakenly quoted me saying. GG no re.

Are you trying to be, or are you really just a fool? What my point was you going like “I ain’t derailing the thread on purpose!!” and quoted what you wrote earlier to prove otherwise.
Get some comprehensive skills and actually read what I write. You do realize this was quite a good thread till you showed up, right?
