So yeah title is basically what I want to know. ATM I’m rolling with dagger/focus and staff. I mostly small/ solo roam and or defending. I live dagger for when I can get in close enough range but would like a bit more range. Last time I tried axe in pve it felt really lacklustre.

I love ka but don’t think they can take tier one yet and don’t want them too so much fun in tier two despite forum trolls. Can’t wait till next week

From what I know FA only got two SOS guilds that are only half transferred and were trying to get a sea guild. Besides that just odd players here and there. Come on TC I thought you were following our forums more closely

Now the real question is will my 680gtx be able to show everyone in high Rez or will it bring it to its knees….

Yeah, I tend to go up front more than I should on my necro. Changing to a DS build makes that less painful though. Contemplating going 30 into SR to see how well DS can really do, heh.

This has been a fantastic match up and extremely civil compared to the last few times we met. So far the only real trolls have been from [BT], but they are a group that can actually back up their trolling so we will allow it!

Good week so far, FA really has a strong crew that is determined. With a little additional coverage you guys could really be the t2 top dog for a very long time.

If FA had a little additional coverage WvW would have to be nerfed. It would not play the way it was intended. Only if everyone elses trebuchets fired twice as far and their projectiles hit twice as hard could the game remain the same. Only if their walls were twice as high and twice as hard could the game remain the same. That is the majesty of FA.

I don’t know why, but this post has inspired me to suggest the following celebrity commanders for next week:

Actually, alot of guilds decided if we got a good lead (20-30k) alot of us would PvE. We’re taking it easy till FA starts to catch up then alot of us (RISE), WM, CO, and KO will come in and take care of the situation. xD

FA and K-Town couldn’t be two worlds more apart.
No offense but I’ve been here 2 months since the IoJ implosion and the community on this server can’t get enough pvp. They never need a break, you see the same people out every night for hours on end. They care only for points to stay in a high enough tier to have fun battles. They crave to be out numbered or at least only even numbers when going head to head. This seems to be the attitude of 85% of w3’ers on the server.

When my old guild went to K-Town and my long term mmo buddies (now living in a different region) went to FA I had the choice of moving to the bandwagon server or the hardcore but under populated pvp server.

Boy did I make the right decision. The PvP server is so much fun!

Ps: Jayne, Internet not even ordered yet. Told the misses today that she has to order it by Monday or I’m buying a one way ticket back to Australia. (I live in Mexico on a tourist visa and am not able to order it). I can go back to my in-laws to play but not much.

Being from IoJ myself FA received 3-4 times the amount of IoJ guilds as any other server all around the same time. We PvD during Oceanic and they PvD US prime. I guess he’s mad we don’t need to fight 7 days to win the match.

All servers in top three tiers are “bandwagon” servers. Without numbers you can’t be here. Kain got there numbers from lots of different severs and kitten most from IOJ same, same really. What happens with any server is the people on it start to show there skill and people like what the see and join. It’s the nature of the game. You can’t really hate on any server for it. If they weren’t good people wouldn’t have come take it as complement

Except for TC, we were lucky to start at launch with a really high population.

Half of cd guilds transferred there about a month and half ago and you have the largest “bandwagon” population though most came for the role play aspect. I’m not saying fort aspenwood or any server is better facts are facts you can’t be this high in the ladder without people joining you

I hope we, TC, get to be back in T2 next week instead of waiting another week. T3 started off terrible on the forums, but it seems that our opponents are doing much better on the Forums and such have started to perform better on the battlefield with a cleansed mind (partially) of hate, trollish, and other negative thoughts.

Miss you KA and FA, this matchup will be awesome. Also, keep it up, KA! We said we’d cheer you on and you’re doing well.

P.S. TC up there with you might even make it more lopsided towards Kaineng since from what I know TC and FA lack sea/euro coverage and are stronger in NA no? Which means you both hinder each others points competing during NA time whilst Kaineng continues to steamroll oceanic/sea time and create bigger lead ;D

Your right that TC will make it harder for us against kain, but you forget our oceanic is stronger the both we almost always have the ppt lead during that time, it’s when we go to bed kain Pvd us. Just now we where at 430 ppt in fact.

IMO when servers are balanced tier 2 is the best, loved when i was on IOJ same now. Always lots of action going on and still got to use your resources wisely as you can’t fill all bl at once. Tried tier 1 and transferred off ASAP, just seem to be everyone following a commander no tactics just flip a map and start over. Other tiers have too much of coverage gaps.

I think TC is going to make it harder on us, I do think we’ve grown enough to beat them just they have a strong na side and ATM we are gaining lots of points at that time. It will be interesting to say the least. Hopefully most of the fighting will be on the battlefield and not the forums

Personally I think thief’s are one of the worst wvw classes, besides ganking lone players and killing yaks the don’t bring much utility. As a power necro (yes I actually play that) I hardly ever have that much trouble with them. They are just annoying because they can get away easy. The ones that kill me are just good players and probably would kill me playing on any class

Should have seen wow patch days…. 4 hour que to even log into the game. I’ve never had a patch take more then 5-10min to download. I usually get home from work turn on computer start gw2 up and by the time i’m out of the shower it’s on character screen. I live in Australia so I’m no where near there servers. Must be mostly people’s Internet thats slow (not talking about connection issue that’s just too many people at one time to trying to connect)

I would love to be playing right now so u can show OG and other guilds on mag there not the only ones with skill. In fact I’ve only faught about 4 OG players 2 weeks ago (away for this weeks match) and had no problem killing them. If any one wants to dual me when I come back love challenge win or lose. Losing only makes you better hit me up and if I’m not still in same tier we can go to empty spvp map and battle it out

Oh looks to be a lot of fun missing though in Hawaii getting drunk so not all that bad lol.

Why are FA people on this thread already decreeing a blowout against FA? From what I can tell, FA is remaining highly competitive with TC and BG, though they would probably fair better if they did target BG more.

Well maybe blowout is a harsh word. I’m not sure your definition and mine are the same. So I will simply say we will average probably 180 points of cumulative score until the end of the match.

People on FA arn’t thinking its going to be a blowout. There always a couple of people on every server that think if your losing one day your going to lose…. Hardly a rep of the whole server. FA is known to come on strong as the week progresses. I personally think we’re going to get second, would love first but need more work / numbers to take on BG though could be surprised she going to go for it

Just for a example last week FA was third on reset night and we won by 80,000. Kain and yaks were neck and neck as well an kain won by 200000 or something like that.

I totally agree except reset night is a very bad judge if the tiers are equal. All servers in top 3 tiers can field all bl. It’s during the week blow outs start to happen

Alright I got it working I disabled my firewall and antivirus (Norton) funny I have been running fine without doing that since the change today must have changed something in the exe file and Norton dosnt recognize it anymore I hade a exception for it before will try to make a new one and hope it works all the time without disabling it

I have to say dragonbrand is a great server to fight against, put up a really good fight without all the trolling I’ve seen against other servers. If your loyal and you don’t want to come to FA I highly recommend them. Sorry had to mention FA lol

As it stands now FA is moving to tier 2 against BG and TC while mag,Drgn and kain are tier 3. Though its way to early and close numbers to say that’s really going to happen.

That’s comparing apples to oranges. Remember Mag fought a decimated IoJ who is in last place on T5 instead of CD. Most of the board warriors in threads like this have never seen T1/T2 where a lot of guilds on K have. It is impossible to know exactly how high K will go but to anyone who has spent time in T1/T2 it’s fairly oybvious T3 would be a speed bump at best.

Funny you say that I was on JQ last week scouting it out. I’ve played in most tiers and know what they have to offer what I base my info is first hand knowledge, but thanks for coming out

Time is running out weekend is over in Australia almost done in na and we have a 10k lead but we know we’re in for stiff comp in tier 2 in near future

Though I have to admit them skipping tier 3 would make me happy. Two reasons tier 3 is a lot of fun great matchup and it would be us movin up instead. Also give us FA more time to get use to playing with each other and be that much better when we do make the move

That’s right come now to a drama free wvw environment where everyone is working together. You only have a couple of hours to make your final desicion. Make it one you won’t regret

Need more sea / euro guilds especially but all are welcome. All time zones have good coverage but from looks of things us going to tier 2 in near future could use more

I’ve never had a problem playing necro. In fact I think they are one of the best classes and have had this argument with many players. Signet of the locus makes it really good at scouting and flipping supply camps. Staff/wells makes for pro defending. Drop wells on rams and fear people off. Also you can use death shroud to run at catas and drop wells before the kill you. Also you can pull people off walls when attacking plus use aoes to kill defenders. I can also kill people of any class. Sure you get wasted from time to time by a pro “thief” or whatever but truth be told that person could probably play any class and beat you there just always going to be people better then you. So yeah basically just giving an example of how I think what people call a weak class is capable of

24 hour matches arn’t really fair compaired to week long matches. Some servers would do really well on weekends then get smashed during the week.

Basically what I’m gettin at is join the server you think you will like the most FA for the win !!

Look all servers are going to say same thing, truth is no server really has bad que times its greatly exaggerated. Most servers will only have a que on all bl on reset night others at most the weekend. Eb can be long wait I’ve been told on weekends but I’ve never had to wait more then 5-10 min for any other bl. During the week there are hardly ever a que only when a major push is happening in a certain bl.

I have fun winning or losing but It’s more fun to win and move up. It’s like working for $10 a hour or $50. I don’t know I just have fun. I rarly ever join zergs and I’ve done fine in tier 2/3 for a long time now.

Seriously what’s with all these people claiming they don’t want to win. Too many zergs….. I may be weird but I want to win and move up that’s the whole point of doing anything competive. I can’t say I’ve every played any sport or game to lose.

You should come to FA to play with all the old IOJ people very competitive wvw and I’ve noticed a fair amount of people in the world when I was going for 100% map complete

There are lots of really talented people on all severs…. I’d fight you one on one any day of the week
