11:35 PM: exact same guy spamming gold selling site in Rata Sum.
11:40 PM: Guy continues to stand around glaring at gold seller waiting for someone to ban him while complaining about it on the forums instead of playing the game.
Seriously dude, just play the game. Let it go. Run around and do some events, or go to another city or something.
Oh no I’m not telling him to stop reporting gold sellers. By all means, report them.
What he should STOP doing is standing glaring at him and giving a minute-by-minute complaint of how long the guy is standing there. Send the report in and go on your way.
I always find it hilarious when people want others to stop reporting gold sellers. It makes me question their motives.
I’m crafting so yes, I am “playing the game.” If you don’t like the reporting feel free to stay out of this thread.

OK point made with the crafting, but if it pisses you off so much there’s five other cities you can go craft in. You reported him, and we don’t need to hear your minute-by-minute playthrough about how he’s still there.
Then don’t open the thread? What a novel concept…
Report him.
Block him.
Never worry about it again.Or make a thread on the forums and look like a kitten as you mark the specific time of his continued spamming. Whatever.
12:03am est same guy still spamming his gold selling site.
Glad to see what kind or person you are

People who think tengu are better than skritt are subhuman and probably like to listen to Nickleback.
Skritt are the best race the the entire game.
I know some people may think its to early to be thinking about DLC and expansions, but I am curious as to what people want to see in the future are far as weapon types go. Personally I would love to see katanas make their way in to the game. But I am interested in what other people are thinking to!
Do you mean new weapon types or just new weapon skins?
Longbow and Sword/dagger.
Shortbow and greatsword.
Axe/torch and sword/warhorn.
I have to use a bear in dungeons, other pets go down too quickly. I do sometimes roll with a hyena second just for the extra pet during big group fights.
The bear maintains pretty well, I use Heal as One to keep him alive and he can usually hang with the bosses in melee unless that have some kind of super dodge or die attack (like the Lieutenant in AC).
I think the 5 ability has use in PvP, I personally combine it with Sigil of Stone and wait til I’m surrounded by enemies to become immune to damage and make them wonder where all their health went. It is also useful when fighting other rangers who refuse to switch from a short or longbow in melee since I can reflect all their projectiles back at them and many times they won’t notice. It would be much nicer if we could move while using it, though.
The 4th skill is pretty useless, I must say. If it would pull enemies it hit towards us it would be very useful, or inflicted a cripple or bleed or something, maybe just double damage on someone it hit both coming and going? Because right now its damage just isn’t high enough to really make it useful for much of anything. Maybe if they drastically reduced the cooldown on it so you could spam it faster and give you a ranged offhand option that could do steady damage?
I think it would be better if given some kind of status effect, or the pull like you suggested, or maybe just a knockback/knockdown depending which direction the axe was going when it hit you?
I think the Ranger downed skills are much more tuned to fit in PvE. In PvP we rarely have time for our pet to revive us.. and the one small stun doesn’t have the same effect as the warrior knockdown or the guardian knockback.
The knockback and knockdown buy the guardian or warrior maybe 1 second more than our stun does, if the foe is determined to down you.
I time my stun so they spend as much time in the finishing animation before hitting it, sometimes its enough time for my pet to get me up, or a team mate to save me.
Would read again. +1. Take note developers, this man is after your jobs.
While you’re giving me my quiver, annihilate at least half of the “pirate” looking gear in the game please. I thought it was awesome when I got my first hat and chest, then i realized from level 20-80, it all looked the same.
Besides… isn’t pirate outfits made of cloth?
I’m playing a ranger and rarely look like a pirate (except my boots, which are pirate boots) you should try leatherworking. The level 40 leather armor has a cool, cobbled-together look and the rare recipes you get from vendors make you look like nobility.
I was just wondering if fellow human players think that the human elite skills could be changed a bit.
Not with their actual effects, those are fine, but I’d really like for when my ranger channels Grenth to look more like Grenth and less like a necro in death shroud. I was really hoping these skills would be more like the avatar skills from GW1 for the dervish, a model change would be really cool to see.
Learn to use condition removal and stop crying.
If they want to escape one, they absolutely need to use their condition removal as there are no other options. At the same time, they’re a class which has ultimately only one option for clearing out conditions and its on a very long cooldown, so if they do use the remover for the immobilize break, they’re especially susceptible to condition damage after that point.
Well, you can take pets that break conditions too, brown bears are your friend.
Or just remove it and make everyone happy.
Not me, I like the downed state. People who whine about mesmers or thieves and “never being able to finish them” don’t seem to realize that you can just auto attack and kill them, or just finish them twice. Their escape ability doesn’t recharge fast enough to get away from you again unless you wander off and then come back later.
They’re not going to make them account bound because they are sold at the gem store and they want you to spend cash on something. Simple as that.
I have no problem with the downed state and I think people who complain about it just get frustrated when they drop someone and then don’t take the time to finish them off. I like the element that rallying in the middle of an intense fight or reviving a team mate to pull through and think it adds a whole level to PvP.
What’s wrong with duels in PvE? They can be a fun way to kill time.
If you’re worried about people harassing with duel requests, just make it a blockable feature.
I’ve noticed that in the Battle of Kyhlo SPvP map my ranger’s traps don’t work when I go into the clocktower, specifically on the wooden floor around the capture point. I can target and throw the trap, and the ability goes on to cooldown, but no trap “circle” appears and when enemies run through the area nothing happens.
I realize there are bigger problems to be addressed in the game right now, but this is pretty detrimental to the ranger profession, since certain builds rely heavily on using traps to defeat enemies or deny access to areas and I’d just like to let the devs know this probably isn’t working as intended.
