The war banners was an obvious troll.
Our casters don’t use Ghost tonic. It’s impossible, it comes off during combat. Everyone knows this.
Also asurians are also the hardest class too telegraph skills with as of their size. Which is why most spvpers are using an asurian model, because you can’t see what skills they’re casting clearly.

I guess there is only 1 way to tell the differance from a class….asurian or norn, it isnt that hard. Even with the pots its not hard for me, but for others it could create confusion.

No matter the case, if you feel your group needs to use pots to create some sort of cosmic connection between melee train and MA, more power too you guys and good luck. It was unfortunate that we were not able to meet in the middle to make this happen. Hopefully, calmer heads will prevale next time and we can meet and maybe we can get this settled on the gvg field.

Asurian is a class the pot is a shape shift 2 completly different challenges.

Cool video. Gotta say, I completely understand where TW is coming from. The tonics do give you some kind of advantage as it would be tough to see the different classes. However, I think TW should have stated it earlier.

I see it as a simple sacrifice, it seems like you were more worried about being focused down too fast. Little faith in your gameplay ability? Not a good thing.

Shape shifts have been a good strat to use since DAoC 8v8 fights. Gives a visual advantage over anyone. Arguing over this is moot, tbh i didnt care if we fought you with or without them. i just wanted to fight and i would have thought you guys were the same. We both had a great gvg a couple weeks back and i dunno why the same rules werent thought to be applied to this one. Too each his own i guess.

Wild card: SoR. They haven’t really been “tested” yet to see how they deal with losing after a long winning streak.

The fact that the majority of you all still think “winning” is the only reason to be playing WvW is beyond me. SoR history shows that we actually have not won many tiers. Only 4 other times have we actually taken 1st. We only rise. we won a T1 matchup and tbh if we loose a week or even loose 13 weeks again, it wont stop us coming out and fighting. Some of you should not care about the scores, it actually opens up so much more great things that come with just playing a game.

I have already tried thief and shortly found it no challenge… please try other classes and post some videos.
I just remembered the saying you’re only young once, but you can be immature forever.

And yet most thieves can’t come close to Yishis.

People in wvw die to thieves because EVERY thief is built for dueling and 1v1 while 80% of the wvwvw people are built for group fights… Also there already are alot of threads about how broken the class is in wvw as opposed to spvp.

Thief is the easiest class to solo play in wvw if you are skilled and like challenge play a different class and do the same. Until then it’s all the same to me.

Why so much hate? TEAM RIOT puts out a number of videos across a bunch of classes and they are all very good. No reason to insult some one because you don’t feel he meets your standard of “skill” which is relative anyway.

Maybe you should rethink how you look at the video. I doubt Yishis needs approval of forum warriors. He does a amazing job with the videos and commentary, so it shows how a good D/D thief plays in a 1vX fight which could help others learn how to counter these builds.

Thanks for the props, Zikory. And yes, I can guarantee that Yishis doesn’t care about trolls in these forums. I posted the video not for their benefit, but for the rest of the T1 player base who finds his videos educational and entertaining.

Let’s be honest, here’s what happened. WM/MEOW/etc transferred to BG and started fighting NA/OC/AZ timezone and got wrecked. Jang and co seeing they couldn’t compete changed their schedules and started logging in en masse for EU TZ which was dead for the other 2 servers.

Whatever may come out of Jang’s mouth, 2 things are clear: 1. WM isn’t in it for the “challenge”. and 2. They don’t have the chops for T1 combat.

WM is nowhere near as big as Choo/TW/Hire/Fire/HzH/EMP. Their zerg consists of 15-20 WM and the rest pugs.

The goal of WvW is to put points on the board and WM does a fine job at that. Waha and co didn’t seem to mind to PvDoor when no one on BG or SoR was on, so I don’t see the problem.

Basically it’ll be an arrow-cart driven meta I think, more open field siege and objectives will be far more stable if there are players to defend it using seige. The boon hate trait for the warrior looks to have promise, and I’ll be trying to theorycraft some builds around it, however I think its just a bit gimicky. Glamor bombs will still be viable due to the AoE blind, but the nerf to confusion damage will definitely pull things back a bit.

As I recall, from an SoR point of view, everybody was either on, or well past their bed time. Commanders logged, troops logged, and then BG’s force (which had only grown) rolled over those that were left and went about PvDooring their way around SoR BL.

But you know, tell yourself whatever you want after back to back defeats if it makes you feel better.

I’m sorry but an Oceanic guild going to bed at 9pm AEST time means that either everyone is in primary school or they are teenagers/adults and that gave up after a few wipes.

Ill be in bed by about 8pm tonight. I work hard. I don’t find that embarrassing at all. I like to feel good at 5 oclock in the morning and being beautiful I need my beauty sleep.

That’s perfectly fine and understandable.

However the overwhelming majority of students and workers are active between 8:30am-6:00pm , I find it very hard to believe that the majority of a guild log off at 9pm.

Gee, PvDooring such a test of great skill, it seems that you even surprised yourself.
At times like these, don’t be afraid to do some Arah chain events, those NPC’s might actually fight back.

You know SoR is losing when all the PvDoor talk starts lol, it’s tier 1… Go cry to someone else.

It is a fact when a server ticks at 50 ppt it is because there are no players so there is no accomplishment there… Also shows the type of character of some players chest thumping in those circumstances where there is nothing to be proud of.

I would have to say it is more to do with the fact JQ is pushing SoR in EB and BG is pushing SoR BL, sure SoR do not have the same numbers as JQ or BG in this time, but to say there is no players demeans the efforts which HIRE and AFS put in, aswell as the other SoR Oceanic and Sea guilds, and while I do not condone chest thumping at any time, would any server not be happy to see their own server doing well in the difficult Oceanic/Sea timezone

I have been on many many many times SEA and there are only queues on whichever map FOO decides to hop to. Not everyone gets in when they hop because they fill up the queue really fast.

Even then, it’s 5 minutes tops.

Stick to talking about things on your own server. You’d think you’d just transfer to JQ and get it over with you talk about us so much.

i agree, only reason waha says there is ques in all 4 maps is cause he cant take his 80 man to other maps cause more than often there is 25+ jq in those maps already/

Mr. and/or Mrs. Moderator, this may be the wrong spot for this, but without being able to target the individuals in question, we are unable to report as you say so. We have been forced, as gamers, to take these situations up ourselves. We try to clean our own communities with our own initiative. No member from any server would want to be associated with said activities. Everyone strives for legit gaming and to at least have a positive lime light around them.

Until you guys supply us with a better means to report people, we will be forced to report these matters to each others’ communities in order to keep things the cleanest as possible on our own ends. We only do this because we do not possess an in game mechanic that can properly do this in certain instances. You will have to forgive the 3 communities you have here for making things known as public and making individuals walk the walk of shame to the best of our ability to show that we as gamers will not tolerate such activities within our gaming experience. This, all being in the fairness of a legit win/play vs another team/server.

DAoC was way ahead of its time. back then people were just getting into pvp as main stream type of playstyle. and daoc amped it up by doing it 3 realms vs eachother.
