Let me start off with this.
I have 3 incinerators. (With 15 other legendaries)
I have 5 female human characters all with t3, and multiple others with cultural armor as I have the Emperor title.
I have purchased multiple of every kind of dye, including abyss, celestial, pyre, regal, etc.
I have 2 mjolnirs.
I have a lot of duplicate gem skins, fractal skins, and black lion skins.

Now, in my opinion The legendary issue is by far the most important. This update is making thousands of gold I have spent useless. Of all of them though I care more about my time and money wasted on my incinerators. You may say “but you can change stats!”. Who cares, I can make ascended weapons easily and have plenty of chests for them. On that note, I made my first two even before they were ascended stats. Did it purely for the skin. Same with the third one that I bought.

The amount of time and gold I have used on all my other duplicate skins/dyes, etc is MAYBE close to being even with what it took for the 2 extra incinerators. And that is a tonn of duplicates not even equal to the two duplicates I have of my legendaries.

I could care less about compensation on anything else. I spent the time and gold to get two extra “legendary skins”. All the hours mapping and getting the gifts for them is now in vain. I got two items which are supposed to be and are named legendary.. what makes them legendary now that anyone who has one, can appear to have as many as I have now? “You still have changeable ascended stats!!”… no, screw that, that is no way the same. In a game where legendary weapons are the one biggest, expwnsive, most sought after items in the game, you would think they would take more care with this. It’s not quite the same as raising a level cap or anything else these people are arguing about.

Now, with that said I don’t exactly know the best way to go about this but an idea I thought of would be nice is to reward people with duplicates, a legendary salvage kit, you can salvage your extra legendary for all the gifts and items used to make it, that way making it so people can just sell em, but now get back the stuff they spent all that time working on back. In my opinion this would be very fair.

about 4,000 gold down the drain in a week now.

pretty easy to criticize anyone in any instance of them playing, no one is perfect all the time, and there is times where you can really just not care and still destroy certain players

I’m not usually one, but I’m gonna be a hater here, sorry. Boring d/p x/30/30/x/x spec gameplay….. BlackPowder, auto attack, Heartseeker, rinse-repeat. In addition, you fought bads and up levels. Nothing impressive here.

side note: I am on Borlis myself (don’t get a lot of time to play, so I probably haven’t run into you), but I know for a fact you killed no one good from Borlis. And facing 2 wars with d/p that stand in your blackpowder is no impressive feat. I do commend you for going and roaming solo. Nothing against you, but I would say 99% of the people on Yaks Bend are crap players that stick to the zergs, and boy do you all have zergs. I unfortunately haven’t come across anyone on your server that is good. The only time I have died to anyone on your server is when they finally got enough people together, usually 4+. I haven’t been killed by any group under 4 people from YB.

You posted the video, so I’m sure you can take criticism, whether positive or negative.

I’m down for whatever. I normally don’t record duels. I normally don’t record at all, just when I’m bored cause I hate 30 fps and I’m on a laptop.

I have fought many players from BP since the beginning, I’ve only consistently loss to 2 players in duels from BP and that just happened to be pre-sword 2 nerf and they both were s/d thieves. As far as I’ve seen since the beginning most of BP is not good, when you guys had vT it was at least fun. It is no longer a challenge at all. And yes I know, most of my server sucks at roaming and 1v1s, badly.

And I only roam solo, I’ve gone in a group maybe 4 times and all were just for the sake of recording. I’d be surprised if I haven’t fought you at any point in time.

I would be extremely happy with just accountbound. Would be very nice to be able to spread my weapons around easily. Although no matter what is done will still seem to be a small bit of a waste to have made 3 incinerators.

I’d be more happy to feel like 1 was a waste instead of my 2 extras I made though.

Most people arguing it’s a good thing have not spent the time getting duplicates.

Most arguing it’s dumb have spent a lot of time acquiring these skins to have multiple. If they could have just made one and had multiple skins I bet 99% would have. Verrrrrry few did it for the stay change.

The amount of people with no legendarys or duplicates outweighs those of us who have spent lots of time and gold earning a duplicate or 3 or 4 of an identical legendary. It’s a battle we will probably not win.

Although their argument is very dumb, they have a lot more backing of people.

I will be very saddened to see my work goto waste on 3 incinerators which I got solely for the skin.

Another thing I haven’t seen people bring up yet.. what about those of us who got duplicates even before ascended stats and swapping?? When it was 100% purely for the skin. That’s a serious waste of gold and time.

Legendary weapons are the most expensive and time consuming item in the game and therefore in my opinion should be treated like so as they are the sole interest in many players’ minds.

Quit with the “YOU STILL GET THE STATS”…

for those of us who is willing and has the time and money to craft multiple legendaries can very easily just craft some ascended weapons to skin them onto, for a heck of a lot less money and time than the actual legendary. I would have much rather just made one incinerator rather than my 3 I made then just made several ascended daggers to skin onto.

and it seems to be mainly only people with 1 or no legendaries who are saying this, for those who have multiple the stats are pretty useless to be honest, I can just make ascended items at ease to make up for not being able to swap on the fly.. and who even uses the swapping feature this often? I for one do not. (maybe once since i’ve had them)

there will be thousands upon thousands of unid dyes generated the day of the update, if not millions. It won’t matter, prices won’t be as high as everyone thinks

everyone is stockpiling dyes to get bunches of unid dyes at update thinking they can sell for a profit, when in reality only a few will make profits, as there is tons of people doing this as it is a fairly cheap “adventure” into investing. So there will be TONS of Unid dyes day of update from all the hopefuls hoping to become instantly rich.

Most of the “hate” posts so far are coming from people who seem to be having reading comprehension issues or are complaining about duplicate legendary “skins” while completely ignoring the fact that they have the highest (ascended) stats in the game with the ability to change their prefix at will. (out of combat, ofc.)

no one cares about the stats, can always just make a lot of ascended items for the price of the legendary. I prefer to get new skins instead of having weapons with changeable stats

To be honest I care more about the skins than being able to change the stats on the fly. It’s nice to have a permanent ascended statted weapon that you can change on the fly… but I would rather have more legendary skins or gold.

This coming from a guy who almost exclusively wvw and min/max’s everything, along with owning 18 legendaries

similar I believe but not quite, definitely not the way i’d play it against a necro. I’ve only fought a few good necro’s and it’s a very boring fight for both sides and so far the warrior has prevailed each time so far

again, to all the people talking smack and putting me down, the challenge is out on the table to duel in eotm, I’m not qq’ing, i’m not bragging, I simply stated it’s overpowered and I’m asking for someone to please beat it. (and by it, I mean warrior and condition. Both are overpowered, definitely combined)

I’ve fought tons of good opponents from maguuma, bp, drsgonbrand, etc… I just don’t always record it. The build is stupid

And the song was more of a joke than anything, as this build and warrior is a joke.

Only times I’ve had an issue with the toughness was when I’ve tried fighting groups of 3 pure zerker thieves or rangers, as they are excellent at closing gaps and just ruining my day… but then again its more than 1v1, never experienced issues in 1v1s. Only time I ever really lose is to perplex builds when I’m not paying much attention

I feel that with a build like this spiking is never too much of an issue as you have so many ways of negating the damage then healing it. I currently run at 800 healing power as well

Oh and I have over 3,500 hours on thief so they are pretty darn easy to read and fight against

pretty good guesses. It’s pretty cookie cutter actually, 40% crit chance, 80% damage, high 2700 attack, mix of celestial, valk and zerker

i didn’t even go through all the tears, but most likely is a L2P issue. Dodging is such a hard mechanic for most to wrap their heads around, that and blind.

I played thief for 3.5k hours… took a little break played else for about 1k. And now I’m up to about 200 hours on warrior and let me tell you, nothing is more overpowered than what I run on my warrior. I only play it to prove how overpowered and I’ll even admit it to people that it’s crazy op. I am now up to, since I started marking it down, 520 wins, 0 losses, and 3 draws. I just posted a video on the warrior forums of the past day that I remembered to record

@everyone else, I have fought many combinations of players, tons of PU mesmers, and lots of all kinds of necros, plenty of condi and perplex engis and thieves, have yet to lose to any of them. A zerker warrior stands no chance at all against it. The build is just really cheesy and as far as I know I have yet to come across someone to tame it. I have ended in a draw against a couple of players though, a d/d Ele who played super conservatively, some really super tanky ranger, and another d/d ele. I was pretty confident if we would have gone on forever I would have beat the ranger, but the two ele’s were definitely a forever long battle.

@killahmayne, I have never really fought in large scale battles as I hate the zerg scene, but it does very well in group fights as well with plenty of group support and the aoe burning.

again the only reason why I posted this and even rolled a warrior was to experience just have over powered warrior was and how easy it is to play.

Warrior isnt OP other classes have stealth….. and teleports :’D
Edit: And you do 100% of your damage unlike all those AI classes. Thieves guild is so stronk.

okay warrior may not be the most op, but this build is with my playstyle. Compared to my main professions, ele and thief, warrior is definitely OP.

from what I’ve experienced currently, PU mes and some necro (no nothing about necros) are most OP. I’d throw in condi engi, but they are super easily countered by playing smart.

haha thanks, I always just forget to record when I should record. Normally when I plan on it I never find good fights worth it, then when I don’t even think about it, I run into good ones.

Prove me that this is not ridiculously overpowered.
I have been playing for about 200 hours now with no losses in a 1v1 fight for the past 2 months on my warrior. Somewhere after a couple weeks I decided to start marking down my wins, my sheet now has over 510 marks on it for wins, 0 losses, and 3 ties currently in duels and 1v1 fights. I know there isn’t much in the video, was just a few fights recorded today and the other day.

Still congrats to you, buying them doesn’t take away the fact that you own them though in my opinion, I bought quip, and after my 4th one, I mostly used TP money to craft the rest, just needed the karma and the mapping.

I run celestial armor with a mix of cavalier, zerker. And valky trinkets, with cavalier weapons.

I was running 20 30 0 10 10 but Sometimes I just feel it’s a bit weak, question really is. Is 20 in fire preferred over 20 in arcana, or even 30 in arcana for evasive?

Well you need a ton of influence and merits, which will be hard to come by by yourself….

My first gw2 video

Hi, Just started playing on my laptop, I can choose almost any settings on my laptop are low render sampling and play perfectly fine, very smooth constant fps.

I can run mostly high/med settings with 60 fps solid almost anywhere, but I just got back on my laptop in a week and all of a sudden I am getting 60 fps but every few seconds-10 I get a weird stutter of like 15 fps… very very annoying, sometimes like 8 fps. This happens every few seconds. It is only when render sampling is native or super sample for some reason.

I have a intel i7 4700mq cpu
GTX 765m (just updated drivers and still doing it)
8 gig of ram.

My system is not getting near maxxed out in the game, like 30% of cpu, and not much memory or anything at all. just every once in a while get a dang stutter… any ideas?

Any explanation? Or how much better would it be? The y510p is not available for another month from xoticpc, the y500 is availble now.
