the thief can spend all his trait to build for venom aura
venom aura with cleric thief will heal your teammate around 20% hp if he succe to score all the 4 charges ( if he dosnt get blinded / blocked / dodge / evade and all things )

So, something to note from the livestream is that it has a 4k individual heal PLUS 4 stacks of skelk venom which have a 650 base heal, giving you well over HiS’s heal with support opportunity.
Still 45sec cd, still need to waste alot of traits for venom share + reduce cd + need your whole team to actully hit something to heal ( if they miss charges goes away gz you wasted 45sec cd heal if your being targeted your done )

If your team gets in the area of venom share IF your team gets the heal If the enemies are not dodging / blocking / blinding and things

it didnt matter if i had 3 – 4 ppl at cannon
it didnt matter when guard + warr then necro came and all died they still had 2 points and we 1 and losing it

That one thread got closed saying shards would drop from any chests… My guess is it will thus have a drop chance(= rng). Next issue is glory farmers….
You could not make it rng by, like you say, getting a fixed ammount of mats/chest, but then it would still be grinding… The ammounr of chests needed for 1 legendary would be fixed unless you make it rng… That’s why getting legendary mats from chests would be the worst idea every… It’s either grind or rng !!
No one player wants to grind or have a random chance to gain legendary through chests… Especially not when some ppl have stacked chests, other people havn’t and some others have switched from eu to na or vice versa and didn’t get any chests for their next X wins !
That’s why the only solution would be win-tied achievments that are basic for winning the game/knowing the map. It would PROMOTE teamplay. For people that are nervous about what this would give for SoloQ, the solution is simple:
Make a video: How To Achieve Legendary Through SoloQ and announce the video with the release notes.
Last solution could be 1 legendary for X ammount of wins in tournaments. But that would make the process of getting a legendary incredibly boring. You don’t get any title/reward(achiev points) for trying to get a legendary this way. It will feel grindy as kitten !(just like in pve).
Now let’s immagine an achievment-based system to get legendaries is implemented. What will happen with all those dedicated pvp players that have stacked their tournament chests or have over 1.5K wins ? The solution is simple:
- 1 legendary “token” for every 500 wins
- LET THERE BE GOLD
- introduce new pvp currency that allows to buy new ,unique ,rare weapon/armor skins(also drops from match win/rank chests to give hotjoin players acces to good looking armor/weapons)
What about the particle effects you may ask…
Since you get a title(s) for achieving/trying to achieve a legendary you don’t have the need for others to see your legendary. So a function could be implemented in SoloQ/TeamQ for those that are bothered by particle effects to turn legendaries into normal skins on other players.
Let it be grindy as long as old players who stuck their kitten since launch in spvp have something to show for it and not those PVE grinding kittens in skyhammer who rolled over other ppl by mindless farming
Not every pvp “amateur”(someone that prefers pvp over pve) has time to play TeamQ so people that play soloQ should also be rewarded. If that’s what you ment with tournament wins.
2 of the achievments are only accounted for if you actually WIN the match(annihilation & tactics). The other two are team support and “enemy sabotage”(interruption & help). And the precursor achievment is actually defined by wins…
A tournament win refers to a win in either solo or team queue…
How can you not realize that your achievements would promote horrible play? I can already see how the r5 bunker guardian in solo queue attempts to steal Svanir or the condition necro spends 10 minutes destroying a treb that no one has fired just to get credit for your achievement.
You claim you want legendaries to be rewarded to players who are good. It would make more sense to tie it to leaderboard ranks then instead of rewarding players for 500 rezzes. I may just afk in the corner, watch you getting downed, and then rez you to get credit for one of your more reasonable achievements.
Weapon skins can not be tied to leaderboard ranks… Only top player would get them and cosmetics is something that everyone, that wants to dedicate effort and time to a game, should be allowed to earn.
If you are so concerned about the lower ranks rushing into it. Explain them: you will not progress if we do not win the match… It’s not THAT hard. Hell, even Anet could release some kind of guide for it so that we don’t get QQ from Top SoloQ Players… Your making such an issue of it while it isn’t.
Rewards from leaderboard rank is a completely different thing in my opinion. Leaderboard rank should be tied to exclusive titles. Another great thing to introduce would be, just like in gw1, trimmed capes(a back piece). Also gaining a little bit of gold for being in the TOP 100 would be nice aswell.
Leaderboard rewards should also NOT be permanent. How can you give a permanent reward to something that is temporary ? Maybe give people that have been in the top for a prolonged period of time the ability to wear a customized cape instead of the standard gold/silver/bronze capes. With the new decay system i don’t think many people will be able to abuse it.
Example:
- if rank 1-20 for 30 consecutive days you get acces to a gold trimmed cape for 1 month.
- if rank 21-50 for 30 consecutive days you get acces to a silver trimmed cape for 1 month.
- if rank 50-100 for 30 consecutive days you get acces to a bronze trimmed cap for 1 month.
- each cape would be unique per profession

why am i so smart? i just amI completely agree with your last 3 insights. However your first “why” can be fixed very easily. Give players a legendary token for every 300-500 games won in SoloQ + TeamQ. This will also resolve the incoming QQ from those that have already opened their chests.
Why Not SoloQ/TeamQ chest ? Because it will be grindy. It will be random. What about those that simply are very unlucky ? Getting a legendary should not be a random process… Please do not suggest Anet to inroduce any more random/grindy mechanics in this game… Especially not in pvp.
If you really want to introduce another RNG method via reward chests then please not make it mats for legendaries… Your best bet would be rare skins/armor but certainly not legendaries.

I say “No” because, I’ve been playing for a year now 99% pvp, and I don’t want to do these Achievments you suggested.
I think the old and active PVPers should be rewarded without spendind again 1k hours to do it.
Like i said i spend 1k5 hours in pvp now i want my rewards!My idea: to earn leagendaries:

Because people kept entering tournaments right up until the moment the patch hit and then losing the match due to being unable to log back on in time. And then complaining about the lost rank.
There is still no reason to disable pvp 5 – 6hours before the patch hits

It’s the second skill that goes for 4k at critical. The first hits for 2k. I’m using barbarian gear with berserker jewel, btw, so I can get near 20k.
on what are you hitting 4k? can you give more info is it on people who are glasscannons?

Seeing as no elementalists were harmed in the making of the last competitive tournament in GW2…I think devs are going to rethink the class.

and the healing spell geyser get incr radius and we get some kind of line of warding like guardian has

We also increased the healing on Water Blast, the radius on Geyser and we reworked
Unsteady Ground to make it function more like line of warding.
in other words is this what ele will be getting for balance patch seems pretty accurate on what jon sharp is saying ? is this those the fixes we need? i mean i cant see anyone still going with conjure weapons ( if they mean they are buffing them for ppl to use them more in tpvp? ) or that people will start using staff for the geyser buff?

My dmg feels very low i play S/D i mean the survability i got is very low but managable i can survive but my dmg feels still very low

More necros complaining that they can’t beat something that was built to counter them?
It’s not about necros, it’s about condition builds. I prefer to use condition build on my every alt.(warrior, thief etc.) since I hate direct damage skills. I’ve given necro example bcos necros are mostly condition oriented and don’t have enough direct damage or mobility to avoid condi-invulnerability. I can kite a warrior with a thief/mesmer till the buff disappears, but you can’t do this with a condi necro.(necro doesn’t have leap or 1200 range movement skills) I don’t want any build to be op, I just want the balance. ppl opened so much threads in necro forum about op conditions, it’s ok necro is nerfed. But it’s time for warrior invulnerability now. Maybe they can make fear cc to pass through this buff to avoid an undead warrior.
Kite a warrior for 8 seconds, yes they can. A low skilled Necro can not, while a high-skilled one can, speaking form experience. If facing a Mace+GS build(or most direct builds) then it will be much harder to live compared to condi warrior.
I was talking about gs + mace/shield builds. a skilled warrior can easily rush to a slow class like necro. The main problem is, it prevents condition based ccs, so it makes a rush warrior unstoppable against a condition build. This stance is a defensive countermeasure, but in spvp it’s used as offensive invulnerability. This is why I say condition based ccs should pass through this buff. Taking no damage from conditions is more than enough.
sounds fine if it removes all conditions applied on us, or you could just stop playing and messing up for your whole team

You will be still able to use it in pve and pvp just pull out new ones from achivment tab
when you click convert to pvp the skin itself gets to a pvp item then pull out a new skin from achivment if you want for pve

Hello, i got none of these achivments and i just completed one puzzle in borderlands got both of the keys entered the vault and got the loot but no achivment at all how come?

Currently Mesmer is the only class with reliable Ress, strong burst, boon hate, insane amounts of invulnerability and are 1 of the 2 classes that it’s impossible to stomp on the first try.
Death matches would be based around 1 guard and 4 Mesmer and maybe theif, unless Anet finds a way to give other classes without invils/stealth a way to defend against focus fire and complete boom clear. And also a reliable ress

However, warrior got the most damaging skill in the game, we can do way higher dps over time, as we can backstab more often than hundred blades, means thief got higher dps of course this guy used utlities, but even without these he would still do tons of damage, with cloak + backstab rotaton. and do more NB Single target damage than the warrior, no class will ever beat warrior in clearing groups unfortuanatly. but i hope this stops the quell between which has highest dps. .

If you had saved all of the money that you used buying rares or salvaged all of the rares that dropped for you into ectos and sold them you would have your 500 gold.
