Oh, this is very annoying indeed! Disband the party and make new ones all the time, if a fellow player forgets to “leave party”, before logging off. I wonder how hard is for ANET to fix the issue. If it’s not hard then probably it must have slipped away from their attention, so please keep this thread alive.

We finished a while ago the Lyssa event in Desolation…It was terrible! The summoned mobs (especially that big purple Gorrila Corrupted Illusion and the Champion Farmer) one hit people for 20k-25k. The fight was live for more than 1 hour I believe. Something went very wrong with the scaling of the event!

The amount of effort getting the rest mats and gifts for the legendary, should be applied to get a precursor as well. Right now 1/2 of Legendary is effort and dedication and 1/2 Luck. Or endless grind to get extra cash to buy it directly from the TP. That doesn’t sound too much legendary if you ask me.

Some people said that the legendary should not be handed to you that easily, right? Well what about the people that can afford them with real money? They just have to buy the gems, make them into gold and just buy one from TP. But I guess you are ok with that, even if it shows zero skill and zero dedication. Just a large pocket. What if the legendaries were account bound? Well, that would be a nice change if you ask me.

Give me a chance to craft my precursor, or earn it through hard work. That would be a progression and I would gladly do it, if I knew that in the end of this long road the precursor would be there. I am almost finished with all the rest for my legendary, but frankly I don’t know what to do with the precursor. I can’t count how many world bosses chests I have farmed so far. I just grind and hope…but seriously I don’t know for how much longer I will have the patience to do it. Especially when I know that even if I do it for years, there is a huge chance that I ‘ll never get one from pure luck. And I never liked gambling in RL. I don’t even play the lottery :P So I can’t play the Mystic Forge (because it seems luck is never on my side)

Yes this issue must be fixed. I like the scepter a lot and it would be nice if it finally becomes the weapon it should be.

I ‘ll have to agree that an option of buying back (or refund) within a certain time limit (30 minutes or something) is essential for such big purchases. The same thing happened to a guildie 2 days ago and he never got any info on why he could not equip both of them, before making the mistake. Such crucial information should be available in game. If some people don’t like the pop up warnings, it could be nice if the window had a tick box “Never show this warning again” like most of software we use everyday. If someone simply chooses not to read the warning, before buying, will have no reason to complain after. Simple as that!

First of all I am a woman. Second, I love the fact that everyone, wanting to defend their game, do not hesitate to insult anyone else that happens to have a different opinion than theirs. If this is mature according to you and on the other hand I am the immature one, because I didn’t like the content you loved, then ..ok! That is all beyond me. Next time try to answer the concerns of a loyal (till now) fan of your game, rather than all jumping into him/her because he is not a part of your “I except whatever is given to me for free” happy group!

I rarely stand in Lion’s Arch, because I have tons of things to do, but I witness many many people standing there, especially in the stairs outside of bank. Burning out in a game that’s only 7 months old, is not a good sign. I read comments on people here and in facebook being excited about Super Box, because NOW they have something to do, that is actually fun for them and repeating the request, that this new content stays permanently in the game…Not a good sign if you ask me.

The game itself should be the fun part, not the addons…If GW released Super Box to offer some fun to its gamers, there is something wrong, in my opinion. If you don’t have fun anymore in the game, you should ask for an improvement to the core of GW, not some completely irrelevant content, that its sole purpose is to entertain kids for a limited amount of time. After a while you will be standing again in Lion’s Arch, wondering what to do…

A new installation fixed it. Seems it was corrupted and the -repair command couldn’t do the job. I keep this post for anyone that gets the same error.

Also as a full support guardian I am specked to help large groups. Sure, you wanna try to fight me? It will take you ages to get me down. But I cannot afford the luxury to entertain a young boy, while my team is trying to defend or take a tower/keep. Go to spvp pls!

Sorry, but I thing you understood something wrong. Part of their marketing campaign, in order for us to buy GW2 at the first place, was that they will add new content every month or so. They don’t do you a favor, neither its been offered for free! Its part of the product they sold you mate!

I have to say that they should not have made a big deal about this event nor should they have made it the free trial period. That was a terrible event. You could elaborate on it quite a bit with the terrible items, worthless store items, poor communications, aweful execution and weak content. It’s vitual buffet of horrible.

What happened? GW1 had great items and excellent events. Practically the high water mark for any mmo. GW2 seems to not have heard of this “GW1” people keep talking about.

I like the game, but I’m saddened to see how little experience was carried over form the first GW.

I will have to agree with you! I feel so confused about all the “shiny” rewards they promise in gw2 and I fail to see them..I have even hard time to track what the kitten is going on…so much scattered information..new recipes, new materials, new armors…and the complete lack of proper guide.
The thing I hate most though is the over hype for a content that did not in fact introduce anything special on the game. I miss GW already!

Yes I will not go back to the new map…nothing new and rewarding there but the nice scenery!

I was expecting this update with excitement after reading all your marketing promotions , in order to take a break from WvW which consumes most of my time in the game.

I just logged off from the game and gonna tell you what I feel for your expansion.

First, I never had the chance to complete the event yesterday due to the lagfest. I never had the chance to complete the hunt because Noll is still bugged. I tried the dungeon after several hours cuz I was not able to enter due to bugs and to be honest I was not impressed. The rewards also don’t worth the time investment for me.
Then the second phase arrived. The event never kicked on my overflow, so I don’t know what I missed. I jumped on a ship (imaginary travel), to have, at least, a taste of the new “awesome map”. I must admit the artwork is very beautiful over there. But..what am I supposed to do? I gathered some nodes, killed a few karkas, gathered some eggs for an npc to make some omelets, I did some random events, I skipped the jumping puzzles, cuz I cannot bother with that element of your game…and then I logged off, pretty much bored. Did I miss something? Or my expectations were very high?

I did not witness anything to make me come back to this map..Oh wait..I will come to farm some orichalcum from time to time.

In an interview after Halloween event, Colin said that one of your biggest mistakes was the lack of proper information about the events in the game. Everyone searched external guides to figure what was going on and where to go. He said you would communicate your content better next time. Which you didn’t. Again! People should ask on map chat what to do or search the wiki and forums for guides.

I am really sorry Anet. I am not impressed…Yesterday I was angry but today after all this hype I am just disappointed. Hats off to your marketing department though!)

P.S. 1 : Maybe this post will be deleted. I will not comment on the bugs and the lag because its widely covered on other posts. I will also propose to make a public test server as many people already have.

I am not in mood for constructive criticism. So far I was not able to do any of the events because of the ridiculous lag or the failure of enemies rendering in Caledon Forest. Then I tried to follow the map riddle…NPC’s are bugged as well..I guess Noll ragequitted too! Dungeon entrance bugged. What am I supposed to expect tomorrow? Or the day after?
Absolute failure Anet…sorry! If you are not ready, do not release expansions. Nobody would blame you!
Such a major disappointment so far. Actually now I don’t even want to see the new map and its events! Who cares! I ll just stick around and read the forums! More action and lulz here!

That’s a weird bug.! Each time I get might buff my ele shouts “For great Justice”. Its an annoying shout and I try to avoid warriors, but now its coming from me??? Only thing that keeps me from muting the game is that the asura has cute voice. But seriously, I cannot listen to that shout all the time.

Oh just noticed the weirdest thing..The character I managed to log in, has no longer the same color armor as I left her with. She is reset to a previous choice I had…..

Tried to login myself and the same thing happens. I cant login with my character who is at Hoelbrak atm, stucked in loading screen. I can login with my other character though who is at Lornar’s Pass. Any help?

All 4 skills are removed and replaced by the spell “Flaming Harakiri”.
You commit suicide, to finish the torture and respawn faster. The spell also triggers the /laugh emote to the enemies that killed you. WIN!

I am gonna skip the part of frustration over nerfs and “balancing” and the no bug fixing and I am going to address an issue that really troubles me. I understand that all the class changes are targeted especially to spvp and the imbalance that we may have at this time. When a change occurs, a spvp character can go grab a new free amulet, some free runes and make a new free build to experiment with.

On the other hand, people that don’t do spvp, but we are focused on pve and WvWvW he have not the same luxury. I am stucked at the moment unable to decide what the heck to do with my exotic armors and runes I paid so much. We don’t even have a “perfect salvage kit” like GW, which would enable us to salvage runes/sigils from armor/weapons without destroying them. I cannot experiment with my lvl 80 character anymore, cuz this would cost an insane amount of gold, each time we have a new patch.
Please find a formula, till the balance of classes stabilizes a bit, to offer us a way to follow up with the constant changes.

I laughed so much with this post, because of how terrible the class is and then cried too, for all the time and gold I have invested in it, waiting helplessly that they will manage to make it work somehow. Instead Elementalist is getting even more useless with every patch.

I would prefer to speak my native language as well, but I am forced to use English so that I can be able to communicate with players worldwide. Just logged to WvW and sadly I witnessed the same old story. At this moment no Keep across borderlands have altar of power, except the Kodash ones that have orbs. The hacker destroyed every Altar across maps so that we could not claim it back from Kodash. This week match is a complete disaster with this hacker’s personal life drama/revenge, so at least can we all servers agree to make the match a bit more fair?
Can we at least split the orbs somehow or Kodash exchange the bonus of Orbs that has with some points? Dunno we must work this out, somehow…Please feel free to recommend solutions and at least enjoy this week. Thank you.

Pretty sure you can find more or less everything on this forum, including everything I’ve talked about. Eitherway I never make any “walkthrus” on how to do things, I just hint and hope that people manage to figure things out themselves.

But the fact is that most people don’t seem to grasp how GW2 really works. Like how most don’t know how to maximise a staff build due with massive amounts of combos.

Or how casting really works and that skills like Lightning #1 on scepter continues to channel even thou you cast Lightning #2 and/or #3 during it.

When people start to consider these things they will see alot of new posibilities opening up, they just need to get rid of the old MMO thinking that exists from games like WoW.

No, I quit on my ele, sadly my main since headstart lvl 80 full exotics. I just use her for crafting. Didn’t worth the frustration.

/signed. I was asking the other day in Team chat where is that kitten guild with the pink bear emblem to upgrade the tower it has claimed! Never got an answer. I did all the upgrades by myself ofc, trying to defend it. Still after some hours that emblem was very frustrating to look at!
But this is happening all the kitten time. Guilds claim and then vanish! Very professional if you ask me! :P

All products that are not sold in a grocery store, like apples as you said, can be returned back if they don’t satisfy the customer. Even your car! Also most companies don’t have market plans like “We build a kitten product and we want each one to buy it one time and we have done the job! Then we take the money and move to Brazil to enjoy the sun under a palm tree”. Most companies, offer new products, expansions, new versions, new flavors whatever, and expect people to continue buying their products due to “Good previous experience”. All the rest is nonsense and they DON’T apply to business ethics.

Are you serious? A customer is always right! We paid for this game, I also paid for all Gw1 +expansions+bonus quests + costumes x2 times. I am a loyal customer and I have the right to demand my product to be non faulty and finalized from the company in which I deposit my precious hard work earned money since 2007!
Get serious and figure how business world works. Otherwise just do your thing praising companies as if they are Gods or something! And also stop throwing people the L2P thing, its so arrogant that disgusts me!
After all these years I came to a conclusion. It’s not the “x companies” that make me angry but the loyal fanboys which apparently feel that they have the duty to defend them, as if they make PR for them. Relax! We are not going to hurt them!
