Scepter feels really good now. It actually feels like a full condi weapon and the torment acess is very much appreciated.
While I don’t like the lingering curse nerf, it kinda helps with food and runes, otherwise condi duration was wasted being onnscepter and it felt like we had to be onnscepter to be the best, now swapping to staff doesn’t hurt as much, and food feels better.

Axe changes might see power necro go axe in pvp but I can’t see axe used in pve much, maybe for the easy vuln.
Either way I like the changes, yay signet of spite fix.
I think axe auto is fine now. Trait for more axe dmg and it scales higher and with the range increase you can easily put 4 stacks of weakness on a target while running up to melle with dagger.
Range buff is good for pvp variety, doubt it will be used in pve too much though, since its still a single target weapon.
As of most recent patch signet of spite is only applying 1 stack of vulnerability unlike the tooltip which says 5.
So what does this mean for blind and weakness? Those don’t effect movement so are they considered CC?
Likewise cant see any groups
The thought was for raids, looking over the traits again, I think for best dps with condi and weakness as the primary priority I should go with all rabid, but having a set of knights gear should help with some survivability.
For solo death would be good for the added toughness.
Yea weakening charge is really strong, combine that with some blinds and the thief will be really strong as controll.

So i’m planning on making a weakness reaper tank come HoT release.
i’m thinking rabid weapons and trinkets with knights armor. What i dont know is the 3rd trait line to pick.
I know Reaper trait and curses for weakening shroud. Then i dont know to go soul reaping for the crit chance in shroud to keep stacking weakness or going death magic for the extra toughness and 20% dmg reduction from corrupters ferver.
Part of me thinks to focus more on weakness and go for the crit as well as staying in DS longer.
Any thoughts?
Prestige armor. The stats are the same as ascended, the functionality is the only advantage (and thats assuming we can swap stats).
It’s like FoW armor in the first game, looks awesome, takes a ton of work, is an accomplishment to get, but not required to enjoy the game. Where as other games require you to progress through raids to get to the next, or be carried, GW2 will let you do raids as long as you want to.
What do I want to see in raiding?
Less of it.
The fact that they’re dumping the idea of tight, focused small-group content for this sloppy clusterfrog, just because a bunch of WoW transplants who basically just want Warcraft in a different skin howled for it long enough, depresses me immensely. Geh.

I’m glad they are adding raiding, there is still a ton of content already in the game for people that don’t want to raid to play. Raiding will be something to work towards that will hopefully feel good to complete and bring guilds and people closer together by giving them experiences to rally behind.
I would love to see more phases and needing to use defensive condi’s. Blind and weakness really encouraged to be applied to bosses at points.
Also i really want any new raids with expansions to have uniquie skins so that each raid has a reason to go back to it for the prestige people. Personally i only want the utility of 1 legendary armor set, but those who are collecting allt he skins will help to kewep the older raids from dying out of popularity.

Thanks for all the awesome work on guild halls, i am very very excited for them and all the new info on the new website is very exciting.
My wife and I were wondering if there was a way you guys could put up a tour video for each guild hall, or organize the pictures for each guild hall. Categorize them so the pictures of the hallow guild hall have a column and the lofty hall have a column. that way we could easily distinguish the layout and the ascetic of the guild halls when our guild eventually goes to vote for which one we will be getting.

I think you might be right with the transfering condi’s to pet trait. Makes sense that someone would be inunerable if the pet took them. either way now i know that there is definatly something wrong with stab to fear, and it’s really annoying
hopefully anet puts out a patch for it soon
I keep seeing immune when I convert stability into fear. I’m wondering if the game is applying fear before the stability is removed and thus the person is immune for a breife period of time, but then the stability gets removed.
Anyone else having problems?
While playing some pvp today, i had a chance to try and prevent a ranger from stomping my teammate, when i cast corrupt boon on them to remove the 4 boons they had including stability. Then i saw an “invulnerable” pop up on the ranger and then him proceed to stop my teammate and then destroy me.
Anyone else having trouble with unblock-able skills or boon removal?
This is directed at Anet, but it would be nice to hear others opinions. The recent guild missions blog post states that guild challenges and puzzles will be instanced in HoT.
I know that my guild really likes to join up with other guilds for challenge and puzzles. Will we still be able to do multiple guild runs of these missions?
how about everyone else, do you like to run with other guilds, or hot join, or do you prefer to start all missions by yourselves?
So I wanted to post positive things about the possible changes.
I really like the new trait system. I like that it’s visually representative and easy to see whats going on. Seeing all the traits in one window with symbols makes it much easier to swap traits. Seeing the art in the background of the trait/spec lines shows off the really talented artists at Anet.
I love the idea of getting 3 grandmasters and condensing down the traits to 9 per line. This really helps make the game feel different. If each trait effects you as much as I hope it will, it will put a lot of weight behind the choices you make, making the game feel more involving since all the choices matter and some aren’t “well you have to take that just because of utility” (OMG thank you for the necro wells change
))) ).
Im guessing that only 1 elite spec line will be able to be used at once, we don’t want ranger druid/ monster hunter/ tree herders running around :p. This will help build diversity so much by again making the choices you make matter more than they currently feel in the game as is.
Attribute points removes from trait? brilliant!!! Now I can go pure condi for minions, wells, corruption or whatever I want to for weapons and utility skills without feeling like my stats are being kitten or getting stuff I don’t really want. Also making gear choice matter more meens I actually care that one of my pieces of gear is either pushing my build or maybe helping me live a bit longer.
Kinda gonna miss my skill points but with the mastery system the end game progression should again feel like it matters more. Whats gonna happen to scrolls and tomes of knowledge? While it may suck to not insta level a rev, it might be nice to go through the game again with the new level system, you know, take a step back from rushing around at max level and just enjoy the early game again for the first time.
All in all I’m really excited about the changes to traits/spec, attributes, masteries and the changes will help make putting in new content and play styles really easy.
You know it kind of reminds me of guild wars 1, with the multi professions mechanic. The specializations one is a bit easier, but having core and elite specs, there is a feel of guild wars 1. Especially with all the skills falling under spec lines. Can’t wait to try everything out

I have finally gotten into sPvP and am running into a lot of lag issues. I can;t see my ping anywhere to see if it’s my end, but I have had times where enemies don’t move and my skills do nothing for a good 30 seconds to a minute and then all of a sudden i’m dead.
In a game mode that all but requires you to have quick reactions, playing sPvP is not fun like this.
Please fix the server communication issues Anet, or give us a way to solve the problem if the issue is on our end.
I can see this being a cool boon to have in pve against monsters who do lots of condi dmg. But this in pvp will drop any use of condi’s that are barely used as it is. Condi dmg really needs a much closer look / fix.
People are excited about HoT but yea lag is everywhere, especially in sPvP, its bad there.
I am having the same lag issue in sPvP only. I finally start getting into pvp and the game is almost unplayable since quick reaction times are required to play high level.
Anet please either fix the sPvP servers or give us some way to diagnose the problem from our end.
I wanted to take a short moment to thank Anet for the jumping puzzle in the newest patch. It is wonderful amazing and i had so much fun figuring it out. Thank you for all the hard work you put in to making the puzzle, the map and even the story (i watch anime, I like cliffhangers)
please more puzzles like this one, it was quire epic and the cavernous vista’s are my new desktop background
I am very excited to see this up and very happy that the community is doing well to propose lots of good ideas. I’m at work so I did not read all of the suggestions nor am I up to date as I just skimmed the first page.
I would like to see raid content. I would very much like it to be instanced. I think it would be smart if the content was scalable to accomidate different size groups as I think it should be geared towards guilds.
I would like to see instanced raid content, scalable in sets of 5, from 10 to 40 people. That was large guilds can run multiple instances of a raid and smaller guilds can still do them, or get help from other guilds. This prevents the “I can’t get into that map” problem with open world raids.
I don’t think raids should effect wve, but perhaps give some wvw rewards that are comparable to the rewards in eve to encourage group place in pve and pvp.
I really hope we get raid content and its challenging yet fun and most importantly accessible
yea it would seem that way. i wish that the dev’s would make more content for dedicated players rather than trying to bring new players into a game that was easy to pick up when it was launched anyway. I’m wondering if the job posting for raid content is the end goal. Make the game even more inviting to new players to eventually put raid content on peoples minds to entice new players to keep playing while dragging back old ones that have left.
Why did A-net take away features, instead of adding features and keeping the old ones. While the change to the gem store may have been intended to make it easier for new players, it is confusing, and slightly alienating, to your core players. Players who have been around for a while and liked the original gem conversion system, as evident by this thread.
I say keep the interface as it is, but put a tab in the window for the conversion that allows players who have been around for over 2 years, that have been funding your paychecks and populating your game, used and liked. There was no need to remove what people already know how to and actually use.
Please bring back the original functionality of the gem conversion, and if you must leave a more simple interface for newcomers.
I can see the advantage to skill caps, it helps people learn what skills actually do since they have more time with them. rally effect limited sucks but it might help new players learn to not rely on it and rush in more. I’m mostly upset at the lmits to exploration.
I dont agree to forcing people to go back to old area’s just for map completion, i liked being able to wander and find something by accident, that feeling is most likely gone for new players. Thats and stumbling upon JP’s, thats gone due to lock, terrible decision.
I can understand limiting skills, weapon swapping maybe not so much. My problem is limiting the exploration is stupid and i hope they change that back.
Do we know if the wvw and spvp limit is character based or account based.
Account based makes sense so as not to overwhelm brand new players, but character based is a very bad idea since one of the things they pushed when the game launched was being able to lv i wvw without ever having to do pve

limiting exploration is a terrible idea. Being able to go in a direction or explor the map how you want to is why GW2 is so much fun. Anet you really need to consider changing the exploration back to more free and open, regardless if your trying to force people back to lower lv area’s.
Looking through the several posts on this, I was able to resolve the issue by adding “174.35.56.164 assetcdn.101.arenanetworks.com” into the hosts file.
In order to do this on some machines, it is likely you will find it easiest to browse to the command prompt under the start menu, r-click and run-as-administrator.
from the command prompt I typed:
“cd c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc”
then
“notepad hosts”
add the line from above into the bottom of the hosts file and save the file (do not save as a .txt file, just ‘save’).hope that helps someone.

My guess would be that verizon on the east coast is having trouble talking to arenanet servers, one of the 2 companies is messing up and i hope they resolve it, until then game on
The system is a really cool idea, and i like that Anet is trying to make it more regular for events to spawn and even get players to participate in making them happen. I do not like the limited schedual for the mega events, especially the karka queen, only because it’s linked to the new GM traits
I work second shift on the east coast and i’m only going to be able to participate in the mega events on the weekends, unless i get into a guild thats making the one time use consuables. I wish Anet would add more time slots for mega events
the buff from the traders forum that makes you bigger, kicks necro’s out of lich form, kinda annoying in the watchwerk knight fights

My wife and I decided to buy the one i linked as looking around showed me that it was probably the best one for the money as well as her first drawing tablet. She’s always done physical art and has some amazing sketches,a really nice sketch book, clay, stone, bone, wax sculptures and has been doing a lot of still life painting on canvas she stretched herself.
I’m excited to see what she can do with a tablet since she did a quick drawing with her mouse on her Imac and it was pretty good.

True if there are no defiant stacks, the daze from wail of doom will interrupt the healing skill, but it wont interrupt if there are any stacks of defiant on. Where as stun interrupts the skill as well as removing a stack of defiant.
I’m upset that for that fight as a necro I am less effective at keeping the boss from healing and can;t stop the heal at any given time with a stun like a mesmer, ranger or warrior can
I just finished the dredge fractle and i’m frusterated that i have no stun to interupt the last boss’s healing skill. the daze on wail of doom only removes a defiant stack but no interupt, same with fear and the fear mark. Any chance we could get a stun somewhere so i can help interupt skills in pve?
I like the fragments change but i’m disappointed that they removed all rewards for any subsequent runs, i would have preferred like 2 bags per run. Enough so people who like doing the JP will continue but not enough that it pulls them out of the labrynth
just failed a guild trek tier 3 because of this issue

I have found, 3 times in a row, that if there are any locust swarms left over from phase 1 into phase 2 of GL, if you get downed and then try to kill one you cannot rally off of it, this is making the fight extreemly hard, please fix it so we can rally off them like in phase 1
Please bring back cantha, the story was amazing and really brought alot of fun mechanics and i would love to see whats happened to the kurzicks and the luxons and definatly see the forest growing again and the sea water.
I’m having a huge problem with my game deselecting the target i have. Especially in meta events but also in pve in general. All of a sudden my game has nothing targeted for no reason. If i push nothing and just auto attack sometimes it happens. If this is intentional i would like to know. Say if your inactive for 5 minutes you stop targeting something, or if this is a known bug.
Are there any common reasons this might be happening, say windowed mode or an option i can click on. I have auto-targeting off so i don’t accidentally hit a yellow mob.
yea i’m having a ton of issues with targeting, especially when my game stops targetting something, for no reason. I wont touch anything at all and suddenly my target is gone and my character stops moving or doing anything, really annoying.
I don’t have enough dodges for the green thread, the teleport and the large amounts of aoe red circles that do dmg before the circles appear. how about reducing his dmg by say 10% in general when he eats no grubbs, so i don’t get focus fired by 5 green thread things in a row and i can do any path in Arah without spending 3 hours on 1 boss, that would be awesome.
I have a complaint, i was trying to send my wife items so she could do her mystic foge daily, and after sending 2 mails with 5 times i was told i could not send any more due to being suppressed for “excessive messaging”. I would like to be able to send as many items as i would like to my wife and not be told that i can’t since there is no player to player trading. Could we get a larger amount of boxes to send items, or could we get the excessive messaging system redone to say allow for 4 mails or something?
cannot move or start the invation forces in straights of devistation and the temple of lyssa starting event at praga, i think, WP wont move for 3 days now.
it is extremely annoying and frustrating when the search bar for the forums auto searches after less then a second of not typing. I’m trying to spell out a word and i can’t finish because i can’t go slow enough or it searches for me and my cursor leaves the field. Could we maybe have a 5 second delay or something?
it’s not the glory grind, i like playing with a team and i don’t have to win all the time but 3 on 6 is not fun when 2 people on your team decide that being down 15 points means they should just leave and hot join another one. If anything i’m upset that people who glory grind leave when they think the’ll lose, and want to win so they try to find a new one
I don’t play sPvP much but when i do i don’t like it when people just up and leave when they’re loosing by 10 points, makes the matches slower and usually i’m on the loosing team when people leave. Anet is there a way you guys can add the debuff to keep people from entering a hot join if they leave before it finishes like you did in GW1?
