What I truly dont understand is why these skills don’t have a shorter duration and go away after 1 or X uses. Have them do more damage so that someone not paying attention still suffers from it. What this would do is it would make these conditions/boons have to be thought out when applied instead of just spamming like they are currently.

For example, confusion should be a 1-5 attacks/skill uses and should expire 50-100% faster and do at least 50-100% more damage. Same goes for retaliation – though idk the amount of attacks it should endure – I think more because you can’t stack it as well.
Just my thoughts. It would give some skill back to the whole dot mechanic for these two abilities.

Your right should have been more specific. I have sold expensive things in the past…not too expensive but around 100g+ and ive had difficulties when items were not selling quickly in general and people started undercutting. I have a friend who was trying to sell dawn once and encountered a similar problem. Look i have no trouble paying for the spark and 20g isnt much for me but undercutting especially on items that dont move too fast really hurts people. My friend for example wasnt even a hardcore player because he had tons of work so couldnt play too much but really wanted to get some cool skins and needed every bit he could get. sure i get impatience but still it doesnt make sense to me. My friend eventually relisted which was a waste of what 60g + loss in profit.

Leave his right out of this, it was his left that was ambiguous!
lol anywho, people need to quit complaining about this nonsense. If you don’t sell yours at a cheap enough price….it wont sell and will be undercut. Markets don’t play favorites. Simple as that.

Man, I super agree…though I really dont think you should have to pay for this. It should be just like crafting, if you have the mats, put them in and make either “max” or x many.

Staff is such an under estimated weapon. #1 hits decently hard, #2 hits fairly hard when detonated and gives great heals, the symbol of swiftness does 1.5k dmg easy per tick, gives swiftness, AND everyone ignores it. Empower is glorious, and line of warding is amazing.

Were you guys in the group that jacked IoJ’s garrison while we were trebbing it? I’d love to see you guys wipe that huge zerg they had running through the hole we made. From our end watching from the NE tower, we were like, “Welp, this should be a huge battle…..oh look….jesus…..there are like 5 Ioj left….that was quick…” haha

Here’s my take on a hammer engi :

1. is an attack chain applying burn on the last hit for 1s
2. is a blast finisher similar to the guardian hammer #2, but more utility (cripple? weakness? blind?) and less burst dmg.
3. I could see a rocket powered gap closer on the hammer. The hammer tries to get away from the engi, maybe makes a loop-de-loop, and drags you to your target. No additional effects besides just dmg so a lower c/d can be justified.
4. i’d put the pull here on this one. I really like that magnetic idea.
5. has the engi ducking under the hammer while it “detonates” dazing AoE targets for X seconds, don’t know what balance would be.

Just my take.

For real though, I don’t particularly find myself lacking speed/closers in fights – I don’t bother chasing thieves or warriors who book it (cause i’m not built for it). If you dont want to use the speed tools, and would rather say “guards aren’t fair cause MY weapons don’t do what I want”, I think you’ve found your problem

I give approximately 0 kittens (or puppies for that matter) if people decide to team up. Seriously. Ranks mean nothing – its all RNG. If we get double teamed that means I don’t have to look as hard for things to kill. And kitten you IoJ aussies! I wake up and we’re BARELY hanging on because of your killer night crew.

I had a blast tonight. We were def wiped a few times by some huge-kitten IoJ zerg monsters but then we organized and returned the favor. I had a lot of fun, and props to the [Core] dude who always had the kitten duty of sitting in the keeps lol :P

Let me start by saying I do not have, and I am not working towards a legendary weapon of any sort. Now then, I think the number of legendary weapons is currently WAY too high.

The amount of “legendary” weapons that have been made really makes the name “legendary” more like “rare” or “uncommon”. I do not think true legendary weapons should be even a little bit easy to get and they should take a year or so of play to obtain. By this I mean that I mean I do not think the vast majority of the requirements should be gotten by cash.

I do however think that sweet weapon skins such as the legendary weapons now should be as common as they currently are. I just think that there should be one level higher (as in cooler looking and much tougher to get) than the current legendary weapons. Cool skins are for EVERYONE, the best the game has to offer should be reserved for those willing to pour everything into the game IMO. I would never ever ever get one if this were the case, but that to me, is a legendary weapon.

Personally, I’m an objective-based tunnel-vision solo-roamer…and I don’t attack a person on my route to my next objective unless they attack me first…I always let them get 1st hit in. Heck, I’ve died to several groups protecting a Pack Dolyak wherein I don’t even attack the defenders…I die trying to just kill the dolyak, haha! I don’t care about dying anyway.

The only times I really go for 1st hit on an invader is when I haven’t completed the “Kill 10 invaders” daily. These are also the only times uplevels are kill-on-sight when I roam. Once I get my 10 kills for daily, I revert back to the former philosophy of next-objective-tunnel-vision, hehe.

However, occasionally, I will fail to resist my urge to troll people…which happens sometimes. And more often, it is to keep several people frustrated and busy trying to catch me while my server is attacking something important. Aka: if you see me trolling, it’s a very good idea to watch your map.

Same here, I am a tunnel visioned objective focused roamer. I am the most active WvW player of my guild and as such, I am usually roaming solo or in PUGs of 4-5 max. To be honest, I have not seen too many DH guys solo roam though I know they’re out there somewhere (mostly necros from what I’ve seen), but SBI does seem to have lots of warriors that like to roam so that’s always fun

I don’t really care about dying in-game mostly cause “it’s a game” but I do find it annoying when i’m trying to cap a camp and get rolled by a group of 5 or so roamers + the NPCs and they /laugh or /dance on me for not being able to get away

Overall, what I’ve enjoyed most about this match-up is the abundance of rangers, engis and warriors that are either roaming solo or in small groups. I was getting tired of the excess Thieves and Mesmers from previous matches. It’s been a fun week and i will surely miss this match-up.

First off, good freakin job so far. This is a helluva tool.

I’ve been playing around with it for a bit by going to the location service through the OP’s link. I noticed that it seems to not show people when the key phrase is changed and then changed back to the original phrase. Once the key phrase is changed back to the original, only the first, or red arrow shows up. It does, however, work perfectly if the page is simply reloaded.

A thought, would it be possible to make the arrows into little dots similar to the ones we currently see on the mini-maps. i think arrows take up a bit too much space. I’m assuming they’re included to see the direction the person is facing?

Between BP and DH the distance is less than 1000….thus the plot thickens!

Please submit a report with Anet. We absolutely do not condone it in any way shape or form. We all reported him when we saw him doing it on a keep, but I don’t think we had video evidence. If anyone has videos of people climbing walls or whatnot, please submit them to Anet.

Last night in HoD’s bay was absolutely nuts. After the initial take, the hold we had against that gigantic HoD zerg until reinforcements got there was a blast. Fun fights guys, you pushed us back after we got your treb and even made it through the inner door ha. The untonic’d herd came to our rescue just in time!!

I would absolutely love to see the chaos axe from gw1 back in this game. I dont even have a character that could use one, but they were too dang cool to leave out. In general though, some more armor/weapon skins are always welcome.

Also, I think different finishers would be something I’d consider spending money on – it would be very interesting if you guys made something that was class specific or some that were fairly comical.

[edit] I saw someone mention cloaks – i like this idea, you could add it as a backpiece make it into a cape/cloak to make our characters more regal looking instead of some child off to school with a plush backpack. If you do though, make sure you let us dye it!!

Courtesy of the June balance patch actually so not a single gem! A warning to certain individuals: If you see a small unidentified objects flying around for the next bit, I’d say its safe to assume its an engi and not hax.

Mortar needs to have a base range of 1600 and a buffed range of at LEAST 1800. You know….cause its a mortar. Hell, I’d put it to 2000 if they kept the min range portion of the skill. Also it needs to do more damage and zoom you out when you equip it so that you can hit things over a wall….cause again still a mortar.

Idk, thats just my 2 cents.
