I don’t see the issue with the changes.
We will never have a situation where everyone is happy. There are some people out there who are so sick of berserker meta and are glad to apparently see it go.
If you really care about pushing endgame content, then you’ll come prepared to push endgame content. As a Ranger, I’ll have my bersker, cleric and whatever other sets I need ready to go. It’ll be nice to have a new playstyle on my class.
Well PvE we’re fine.
PvP-wise the current conquest issue is that Ranger trades group support for self-support. So more group support is all that the Druid tree needs to bring to the table.

On a side note, Norn is actually a pretty good choice for Fractals once you reach that stage in the game. Their racial elite solos the cooling room (although Ranger can do it without it anyway).

I really don’t see the need for this. Ranger does not die often at all in spvp. Signet of Stone, Wolf, Hunter’s Shot and Survival builds are more than enough. If anything they need more group support in spvp, but I think we shouldn’t be spending our time in this before things that are a higher priority, like what this guy said:

I honestly don’t think the trait needs to be changed and would prefer the current one over what is proposed here. The pierce effect is there to make sure you hit your target. It’s not there for the AOE.
In this game, Feral Druid would obliterate the other choices IMO.
Hopefully it doesn’t apply.

That thread is pretty useless, too.
People will complain about anything these days. The pet mechanics are more complicated than the other classes, so it only makes sense that the elite spec that changes the mechanic is the last one to be ready.
Get over it, people.
Frost Trap doesn’t need any changes, IMO.
In Power Survival Ranger it replaces MT if you’re running the Skirmishing line, and it’ll be great for Stronghold too. There’s a lot more narrow space in the new WvW maps, so it has a lot of potential there too.
We don’t know how HOT PvE is going to feel yet, but it may or may not see some use there. It’s too early to say.

I’m confused because when playing the beta I was able to glide in The Silverwastes.
Is that map not grouped with the core ones when considering this?
Doesn’t the Vuln from Remorseless builds benefit the entire group though? I imagine it’d be better for overall group DPS.
As far back as I can remember, the PvE ‘meta’ has NEVER been Ranged for Ranger as it should be. It’s always been open with a bow, then melee camp, or just full melee. Don’t you realise that this defeats the purpose of a Ranger?
I would hope that most people, like myself, have made a Ranger because they enjoy playing a ranged class.
Why do people still think the definition of Ranger is one who uses ranged attacks? You need to look at it more like a forest ranger, especially with all of the nature-oriented skills and attacks.
I think it heals, but for sure not every second, but rather every 3 sec
This kind person is talking about Natural Healing (I deleted my post instead of editing?).
It seems to be healing every 3 seconds instead of the stated 1, and it isn’t showing up in the combat log at all.
