I missed the holiday gem store skins, mainly the “winters day needle” (dagger) skin. I’m wondering if it was able to be skinned and if anyone has a set that there willing to sell me? I appreciate any info/help provided. If not then… ANET please allow all the items that were on the gem shop to be brought back for people who missed stuff. ????
Yeah I got one myself, thank you for your response.
I have this one on my necro and it’s fairly large.
I like that, what horn is that if you don’t mind me asking?
Thank you, I really appreciate both of your responses but would you guys know of a build that would be suited for those dungeons? I have no idea what kind of damage to expect ill take more of being that I have never run a dungeon in this game. So if anyone is familiar with the ways of FoTM and Arah, please advise based on that. Thanks again for you help.

Ok I’m a new lvl 80 and want to craft my first set of exotics because I want to start doing dungeons. I haven’t done any yet but I want to start grinding out FoTM and Arah but need to know what’s a good build for these. I’m guessing that I will stay true to warriors strength (dps role) and go full zerkers.. Or should I? Any help on gear/weapons/acc/sigils/runes/food and build, will be greatly appreciated.

Well during the Halloween event I remember getting one from a vendor along with the staff. I wasn’t asking for the rare dropped one from the event, just for the cheap green skin because I can’t find then on the market.
I’m using http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/File:Mountaincall_Warhorn.jpg (HoM reward). This is the one that fits my taste the most
Can that be purchased on the market?
Here is my spartacus
Is that antique gold?
arent they on tp?
is this a begging thread?
A begging thread, who’s begging? I’m sure there’s another thread you can troll, I’m just asking a question here…
Hello all I’m from Sea of Sorrows and I’m looking for the Halloween shield skin (the moon face) skin. If anyone has an extra one that they wouldnt mind parting with, it would be greatly appreciated! My in game name is X I C O.
If you believe the extra rifle damage is better than the control a hammer provides, then that’s fine and if it works better for you, that’s even better. I hope you can provide a video of your awesome build so i can give it a shot. No pun intended.
Just remember that i have high survivability and 2400+ power in battle. My damage is not that low btw, it’s AoE as well. The rifle has piercing shots if traited but it’s still a very single target oriented weapon and adds nothing to the group in terms of combos. The hammer has a blast finisher as well. Maybe your build works better when roaming but in a roaming group, i doubt it works that well.
And yes, of course i have a rifle/longbow in my inventory. I switch to those in sieges etc.
@lunatic. I’m not doing any dungeons anymore with my warrior but i ran the “Sonic Boon” build. It uses Greatsword/rifle. Hammer is not that great in dungeons. A lot of bosses are immune to control as well. Here is the link:
http://www.guildwars2guru.com/topic/74697-build-sonic-boon-shout-greatsword/
Question… I have knights amulet and ear ring, would zerkers be good for the rings and other ear ring? Also i cant get runes of the monk yet, what can I use in the mean time?
The ascended items are only obtainable via Fractal of the mists at this moment. But Arenanet has stated that they will become obtainable in WvW in the future.
I’m using full T3 cultural, yep. It’s my favourite heavy armorset in the game.
I dont see that being very impressive.
DPS is really low and you spent 99% of the time just aoe tagging players and running back out. You added very little to the fight to be honest.
It’s your opinion of course but your logic is flawed.
I assume you are new to the warrior but i’m running a shout spec. So every time i use shouts, i heal my allies and give them boons for a very long duration. On top of that, my warhorn skills remove tons of conditions and boons as well (traited). That right there, is already a lot of support.
But the most important part about a hammer warrior, is the AoE control. The fact that you think more damage is the way to go is flawed. You only need a little bit of damage because you have plenty of guildies doing the same. Together, you dish out enough damage to kill enemies. But the control is extremely valuable. It reduces the incoming damage drastically and makes the enemy a perfect target for AoE skills.
Glass cannon great swords warriors are not the only way to play this game, especially in larger fights. Just saying!
I will craft my warrior to 80 tonight and try this spec out. I’m looking for a good/fun support class and this is my style lol. Thank you for the info and its great to see a warrior withOUT a GS!
Btw is this the build you use for dungeons?

Thank you everyone! I definitely had some Immediate Music in here!
Artists like Epic Score, Two Steps From Hell and Immediate Music make “epic” music with a lot of choir action. It goes nicely with videos like this imo!
The build:
http://www.guildwars2guru.com/topic/68541-video-matale-7-hammer-wvwvw/page__st__90#entry2142429
Thunderbrew, you can take out the warhorn for a shield when playing solo or with a zerg. But when running with a guild roaming group, either take axe off hand for damage or warhorn for more condi removal support. And you seem to understand how a good build will look like. As seen in the link i posted, i do run 0/0/20/30/20. That said, i prefer knight over invader gear. Warriors have high HP alrdy and vitality is ment to counter conditions, something we can easily remove anyways.
That said, invader gear could work as well.
Are you using all T3 cultural gear, also where did you get the back piece and 2 rings from?
Nice video, would you mind telling me what gear/runes/sigils/acc you are running?
Got bored last night so played around with a very high crit damage and high stealth build in PvP and WvW and had a laugh with it. I am sure most have played with similar, I did enjoy it… it’s not supposed to be optimised.
Weapons: D/D + S/D
Traits:
Deadly Arts: 10 (Mug)
Crit Strikes: 30 (Side Strike, Practiced Tolerance and Executioner)
Shadow Arts: 30 (Infusion of Shadow, Patience and Rejuv – all because this is an infinite C&D tactics build)Runes:
PvP: Divinity
WvW: Scholar (mainly as you stay above 90% health as you abuse C&D with regen in stealth)WvW stats (with condition food and Signet of Agility):
Attack 3.3k
Armour 2.3k
Power 2.3k
Precision 1.9k
Tough 1.2k
Citality 1.2kCrit chance 50% (I was using perception sigil so this ended up around 62% after 25 kills)
Crit damage 109HP 14k
Armour: All Valk armour, All Zerk weapons and trinkets.
Skills: I was running lots of heals and stealth help (HiS, refuge, blinding powder and SoA)
WvW Tactics:
Don’t burst at the start… burst when they hit 50% and think you aren’t too much of a problem.C&D and Mug into pack of baddies… choose your target and avoid reveal debuff by hitting C&D, count to 4, hit C&D so you stay in stealth and bang HP off the chap for a few rounds then burst him with sword or BS for fast finish.
Lots of stealth, regen and heals available so very recoverable even if they catch you with your pants down and you crit often and bloody hard with that 109 crit damage.
Had a few 1v1’s and they can’t even escape when they know what is going on… sword and steal closes big gaps.
Supply camp turnovers are very relaxing and attract those small fights that are more fun.
PvP Strategy:
Aside from the usual team on team smash fest I had a bunch of duels with a good mesmer while I was getting accustomed to the build and we left the bouts with him just 1 up at the end which I was happy about bearing in mind it was a rusty start. No C&D abuse in here as folks are too robust for it to really bother them over time and have good heals… I was just playing high crit S/D and D/D as you expect but with loads of survivability from the regen/heals and tons of access to stealth. Rarely died and was able to burn down most folks.
Like I said – it was nothing other than a bit of fun but I enjoyed it so much I’m keeping it for a while (I’m usually P/D so was a nice fusion of the safety of */D with some big hits on top).
what sigils do you use in your weapons? Im new to thief (1 day at lvl 80), can you tell me what these acronyms mean "
Skills: I was running lots of heals and stealth help (HiS, refuge, blinding powder and SoA)"
HiS and SoA, Thanks in advance for your response.
I’d still much rather have a Thief spaming Clusterbomb than a Thief spaming Unload. Both do similar damage but one is AoE and triggers combo fields….and the other is just damage.
Talk about a boring play-style too. You’re literally not bringing anything aside from damage. And the fact that you pigeon-hole yourself into a Single Weapon set and prefer utilities with little/no group support is a sign of a bad Thief.
Clusterbomb doesn’t do nearly as much damage as unload, less then half actually… It also requires melee range for full speed spamming. Also… combo fields? REALLY?
There is no boring play-style when you hit level 30 in fotm, you are literally always on your toes. As for the single weapon set, this build actually works extremely well with spamming cluster-bomb from a short-bow.
Killing big groups of mobs you use the short-bow, but the hard parts of dungeons are bosses, that’s why you center a build around single target damage, then work in what AoE you can. With full Berserkers and insane initiative regain, short-bow does just fine at clearing trash.
Do you do WvW, if so what build, weapons, sigils, gear and runes do you run with?
Full Carrions gear and jewelry plus weapons along with this…
rare veggie pizza
effects: +40% condition duration, +70 condition damage, +10 exp/kill
master tuning crystal (this is not your normal food, this is a different type of consumable that stacks with your food, it is crafted with artificing not cooking)
effects: gain condition damage equal to 6% of your toughness, gain condition damage equal to 4% of your vitality, +10exp/kill
Gives you close to 20k HP and 1800 condition damage…
Lol Backstab isn’t any harder to hit on an Asura then a norn. I personally think size has a very small effect ie. line if sight I guess. The best thing is just play the race you like, If you want a 6ft tall thief then go for it, doesn’t matter much anyway.
That’s what I use on my condition builds in WvW.
I’m just wondering if that’s the best there is, but good to know someone else uses it lol.
Thank you for your response.
I’m about to hit 80 on my thief and ill be going DD condition build for WvW PvP and I’m wondering what’s the best food and others that stack with food for conditions? I’ll be in full Carrions set plus jewelry, any help would be appreciated. This is more or less the build ill be running.

I’m still undecided arm about the build. As for food, Idk I was thinking something along the lines of this..
rare veggie pizza
effects: +40% condition duration, +70 condition damage, +10 exp/kill
Along with this..
master tuning crystal (this is not your normal food, this is a different type of consumable that stacks with your food, it is crafted with artificing not cooking)
effects: gain condition damage equal to 6% of your toughness, gain condition damage equal to 4% of your vitality, +10exp/kill
If anyone knows of anything better for condition Thief, don’t hesitate.

Mind posting your build along with the gear you use?
We all know it’s coming because of berserker shatter mesmer’s and that bug with shatter.
I’m just coming back from a little break.. What bug are you talking about?
“FooD: I nowdays always use 100 precision 10% crit dmg food. and prescision oil. This as my crit dmg is so high that I gain more form add a little extra crit chance and dmg than more power.”
Where do you get Perscision oil from and exactly whats the name of the food you use?
Noticed that also ><
I’m not going to log in game anymore, your recent changes to the mesmer class happen to be the tip of everything going on with this game. I just feel sorry to the poor ppl like me who lost a fun source of entertainment.
No one will miss me and for sure i won’t miss anyone so, no damage is done. I would just like to make the dev know about mine feelings and where they are taking their game and also let em know that if they overhaul thier patch progression i’ll might be back as customer till then cya and thanks for all the fish!
— *Also, i’m getting this post merged here, since the other discussion got cought: I mean deleted.
I’m so sad to abandon such beauty duo the inability of some ppl to understand that they were getting stomped becuase they were both’s upscaled with little to no effort put on thier toon and also in the wrong place at the wrong time.Dynmha – Far Shiverpeak.. the irony at last! she was blinded all along.
What gear are you wearing?
Do you remember where you got the Tough/Cdmg gear from, or the name of it?
In your gear video you said you had tough/Cdmg from Orr. I thought the karma gear in Orr was tough/Vit?
Would also be awesome for a gender change. Anyone think there’s a possibility for this?
hahah its such a joke when your ONLY option to be half useful for pve/dungeons is to run a shatter build. in wvw you throw your mes to garbage because its by far the worst class in the game now, gg anet! across the years i’ve learned they’re one of the worst when it comes to nerfing/fixing (going by gw1).
Mez also have a tank/cc build which is extremely helpful in dgns.
So why not think before you speak.
that’s what you call extremely helpful lol why not think before you speak.
Cm/TA/SE/and we doing Arah soon all 2men team.
Me as tank/cc and Dub as Dps. He rarly every get hit by anything, and I rarly every even go down.
So yes a Mez can be a very scary tank/cc.
I’m curious on your tank build, can you please link it? I just hit 80 on my mesmer 3 days ago… Guess this sucks now.
Great info, thank you.
Yeah i think that’s what I’m seeing and I also see them using earth and some kind of big AoE that does nice dmg. So m guessing you guys are liking your builds? Also what king of traits are you using along with what acessories?
I’m just wondering if anyone can help me out on this. In WvW I see a lot of Ele using DD and switching between earth and water and they and a mean tank and can put out some dps. I see them rush up do a nasty AoE and survive some crazy punishment and I need to know what this build is lol. If any one can share there info on this it would be greatly appreciated.
