My lag was inside the keep. I do get slowdowns when we are defending a gate but noway near as bad. Few days ago the 3 servers bumped into eachother on open field and there it was very playable. So inside SM there is something weird going on I guess.
I can almost feel how many people we are up against when approaching the fight and feel the amount of slowdown.

Yes it is kinda strange, the skill lag is at its worst when there are 3 way fights taken place Inside a keep or stonemist.

But what does Stonemist give for code to the server? In the open field, skill lag occurs as well but not as bad in SM or in a keep on a 3 way fight..

Does the game calculate something when we are inside the keep?

I find it strange, and It probally gives the WvW programmer a headache

Just put 20 people from each server in 1 map, that is the only way to stop skill lag.

Really can someone explain it to me? One day it is unplayable and makes ppl alt F4 the game and the other day it works great.

Does Anet use virtual servers for WvW? Do other servers get more resources to them?

Do we need to complain to get a better performance?

I almost only see EU servers complaining about this, maybe Anet need to change their ISP for the servers…

Are you all playing from the EU? Then i think Anet just doesn’t care about the EU servers/people.

Wish a dev would play with us some day instead of Always playing in the NA, the EU servers have massive problems to a game breaking extend.

I really do understand when a 3 way 60+ v 60+ v 60+ is happening in SM that would be just horrible!

But 20 vs 30 vs 30? I mean that’s what SM was intended for right? Large warfare..

Or remove SM and put a big lake ( wich you have ) or hire some qualified tech person that can deal with this.

And again, horrible.. Horrible… skill lag, for around 20 seconds my whole heal didnt even work..

Nothing works for a long long time in large fights!

I think I know the reason:

The server cannot handle all different types of avatars, it cost way too much calculation for their servers.

If they added this feature you would probally get input lag when you want to write stuff on the forums

Well Desolation is a very high server with Low wvw population and still cost 1800gems

Defended a tower for 8 hour! Wohoo! ( sometimes I took a brake and someone kept on scouting ).

Full upgraded, full sieged.. No enemy attack.

Earned around 400 wxp killing harpy’s and lizards .

Yea Deso lost lots of guild for WvW but that is not the biggest problem, the biggest problem is that our server still has the ‘Very High’ status.

But all these players are only playing PVE and it still cost 1800 gems to transfer to Desolation, no guild wants to come to Deso because of the high price..

World transfer should be based on WvW ranking

PVE players can come to us for free by guesting.. and WvW cost 1800 gems while we are a low/medium server in WvW atm.

I am Magnetron, a player from Desolation and I love to play World vs World. I love the new capture points they look really cool!

Also I love the small stuff you guys have put in the game, like all the mastery’s they really give a single player an advantage ( IF THE OTHER PLAYER LISTENS)!!!

For the rest, its good to fight a better server, so you can try to beat them.. and learn new tactics!

Why do server transfers cost 1800G

While Desolation is 80% PVE

And yes, please go run you guys : rate of wvw players in desolation x WVW = % = Rating

This mechanics is bad, and wil not give us new players

BUT! Hey! We gonna see anything new in WvW soon? I hope so!

I mean like,, When someone has a problem with PVE and they express their feelings about it, then 80% of the time a Dev comes and tells the player the situation.

And Karolis, I said my group was 20 people and in Large open world battles that is not a blob.. And 40 defenders for Stonemist Castle is normal too. The game advertises itself as a large open map where you can play massive wars..

I am sorry but if you do 10 v 10 its not a big war..

I do agree with you if the enemy has 60+ people in a group, that is just horrible.
But 20 v 40?

Maybe remove Stonemist Castle?

I would buy 50% less skill lag booster.

And again in the new match up, my skills are not working when fighting in SM.

Our group was around 20 people and the enemy inside around 40, nothing works.. you can only run away and hope the heal works.

When you switch to Longbow, Binding Roots are way too OP… You cant do anything when you have a longbow equipped.

I demand a fix for this, F1 Combustive shot does nothing.. Blast does 1 hit.. normal hit doesn’t even hit it.

Yea, 1 person who has agro from the ooze needs to lure him in every oil patch before the boss sets it on fire.

The other ppl pick a boss and go nuts on him, placing healing is important.

I think WvW is already great enough.. The biggest problem is system performance, the skill lag kills all the great fights.

There must come a system that put loyal server players infront of a Queue and pushes transferred people a place behind.

The situation how it is now is just bad.

For example someone on Vabbi does play the game casual and likes to wvw a bit for time to time, but doesn’t care about the insane large fights.. And then suddently the server gets swarmed by a 500 man guild and other guilds gonna sit in that server too…

Now that player needs to wait 2-3 hours to play 30 minutes of casual WvW? That is not fair.

Also I rememberd a dev post from before launch of GW2 with something like: " You must pick your server wisely, because you can only choose it once " no idea who said that and you can correct me if im wrong.

Just put loyal server players infront of the Queue.

It is not about GvG, its about the constant GvG posts in the forums while a dev already posted they are thinking about it.

But on every livestream or every WvW update I see tons of people " GvG? How about GvG? "

That makes the whole WvW community sick, we know you guys want GvG and if there was an arena for it I would probally try it out too. But for now there is no room in WvW for it, well maybe when you have a +600 tick and already won the week I can understand you guys just want to have fun.

But on the other hand the dev really did nothing bad, he was not even from the WvW team so he maybe didn’t even know anything about GvG and that you guys wanted to start the fight. Maybe he wanted to join you guys, but you guys were like.. go away plz, and he misunderstood and felt left out.. so he decided to pop up the tag and show the players that they should show a bit respect, not to the tag but to every player who wants to join but doesn’t understand the GvG concept.

Just ask once a month for an update if they are going for GvG or not, not every day new posts or trolling every live stream.

Coz in WvW speak, they are prohibiting a gamemode (GvG) to be played within a game mode (WvWvW).

Nobody is prohibiting anything, but you guys are prohibiting the dev to stand where he wants, why cant you guys see that. Its fine to play a different mode in WvW but WvW is on nr 1. You just have to deal with it that people play how they want to play.
